    Best COD to date! Online is better balanced than any previous title! If you paid 60 just for the "Survival" mode it would be money well spent! I was expecting something similar to MW2 after hearing people talk but they must be trolling because they are completely different!

    I hadn't played COD since MW2. The campaign was unbearably short and left me dissapointed as I wasn't a regular multiplayer gamer. MW3's story features captivating scenes and is a blast to play, the spec ops will keep the offline re-playability goign for some time.

    As for multiplayer...
    And hell if it aint broke don't fix it, remains one of the most fun online experiences around

    Really like this game, new survival mode is great, the story is Epic. Multiplayer is as good as in all the other cods.

    I found a very good game but lacks a little innovation but personally is a great game the story is very good but is short, the multiplayer is great fun, the special ops is also very good. the overall game is very good but is similar to mw2

    Now, to my review: This game is a significant improvement on the previous two, with the story of Soap, Price and the others wrapped up in a way that left me feeling hollow and sad in the way the characters had ended up.     Now, to my review:
    This game is a significant improvement on the previous two, with the story of Soap, Price and the others wrapped up in a way that left me feeling hollow and sad in the way the characters had ended up. With most of the characters we love from previous games had died by now, a comment is made by IW on the cost of war. People who are nothing less than heroes have died tragic deaths. Amazing campaign in my view, delivering a true story in a way that only shooters in the CoD series have ever done.

    Because this game will inevitably be compared to Battlefield 3, i have to say I was completely unimpressed by the beta and cancelled my preorder. By all accounts, the campaign is, typical of Battlefield games, a fallacy, and to me and many others this is completely unacceptable. A better campaign mode can be found on the iPhone in the form of cheap Call of Duty knock-off games (chief among which being the Modern Combat series). The multiplayer conflict between games is a personal choice in my opinion, with players more inclined to go for tense focused firefights at home in MW3, while those who like huge blown-out battles with 64 players much more likely to enjoy BF3. In my opinion DICE have not created as wholesome a product as Activision's handful of studios, with the multiplayer being the only redeemable facet of the game. Spec Ops makes a return in MW3, with 16 missions which are all challenging and fun. I personally hoped for a few more missions, but the new Survival gametype adding a new layer of challenge and fun to the game. With MW3, three fleshed out and polished modes are available to the user, with each living up to the hype of previous games.

    While this game isn't quite a 10 in my view, I have rated it thus to counter the massive amounts of fanboys attacking the metacritic user score of this game. I am livid at the aggression of both EA and BF3 fans in attacking this game and using dirty tactics to try and deplete fans fof the CoD series. What shocks me most is the inability of these groups to be honourable about the whole thing and let the two games battle it out based on their quality alone. Activision has kept quiet about the whole thing and put a great investment into their game, whereas EA has used tactics bordering on corporate espionage to dishonestly degrade their competition. Thankfully, they have failed.

    Pour moi je m'attendais à ce que Battlefield détrône la saga COD... Mais je me suis trompé... Le multi joueur de COD est tout simplement magique comme tous les autres... Battlefield est bien plus beau graphiquement, c'est sur... Mais quoi que l'on en dise, le plaisir de jeu est immense avec ce 3ième opus...     absolutely amazing it is breathtaking, the best ever first person shooter series gets even better. the multiplayer is refined and been made much much better. Battlefield 3 is for noobs and it is a really bad game overall.

There are a lot of aspects that are exactly the same, but if it aint broke don't fix it. And in my opinion the aspects that went unchanged aren't broke. This game does however contain numerous new features that I wouldn't want to play without. But the maps suck. There's noAnyone who gives this game a 0, grow up.     one of the best games i have ever played it fully lives up to its expectations, it have a great campaign mode and awesome multiplayer.it also has a new mode ''SPEC OPS'' witch you play in survival mode which is just when you fight computer people.or do missions either one is fun

    I actually like Black Ops better, but MW3 is still fun. I am 60% through the campaign and it is amazing so far. Multi-player is more balanced with the addition of support streaks. I am not crazy about the some of the maps because they are too messy, if that makes sense. Sometimes, there is just too many things in the air where it becomes hard to figure out if it is your ally or foe.I actually like Black Ops better, but MW3 is still fun. Sometimes, there is just too many things in the air where it becomes hard to figure out if it is your ally or foe. Knife kills are still a problem for me. A 1 hit knife strike shouldn't kill a player while they are getting shot by a gun.

    All that being said, it is a fun and satisfying game. There are a lot of negative reviews on here, which is actually comical. Yes it uses the same engine as previous games, but they have added many new features and modes which make the game enjoyable.    … Expand

    The game is really good. Graphics are nice and well acomplished. Campaing is inmersive and have excelent moments like the fall of the EIffel tower. Survival is addictive to play online with friends and having headset. Multiplayer overall is fun.

    Don't know what all the hate is about. MW3 is a great game in all ways. Campaign is great, Spec Ops is fun and the MP is awesome! If you don't like this game then don't bother reviewing it yourself! Call of Duty will never go away, whether you like it or not!

The single player campaign is awesome. so many set pieces and the pace doesn't drop once. the multi player is the best in the series yet. We all knew zombies weren't in this game so why moan about it.     it's not a DLC of MW2 the MP has improved over with the spec ops giving the shine it is just as good as zombies and the unlocks will keep you going on for a while and Prestige and 80 levels will definitely be alot of time too., COD Elite is just as good as Battlelog everything is good (MP is a dead heat) and Campaign is Amazing. The best quote i've found to describe this so far is as follows 'MW3 is evolution, not revolution.' They've taken a phenomenally popular/successful product and added more of the same. MORE. They didn't take this game and make it worse than MW2 so why give it such low review marks? Simple fact is if you enjoy MW or any fast paced online action agmes you're pick this up and love it. The game engine runs at a solid 60fps and looks incredibly smooth. Granted, in comparison to the graphics of Crysis2 or BF3 it's not up there. It looks better than MW2 (albeit marginally) and runs much faster than BF3, particularly on multiplayer (no screen tearing or other glitches that I've seen so far). The maps seem tighter encouraging more close quarters combat and it seems a little more frenetic; you dare not stay still in case someone blasts you from any and all angles. It's far superior to Black Ops which had a terrible multiplayer in my opinion. Then of course there's spec ops which, either on split screen or online, is fantastically fun to play. It's short, sharp with massive amounts of replayability and some great missions (MileHigh Jack in particular is a blast!) And then there's suvival mode. I read somewhere that this was an 'imitation of the Zombie's mode that falls flat'. I can't disagree more. I loved it, either in co-op or in single player. It's a new dimension to MW and is a welcome addition. There's a lot of replaybility as you level up and acquire different weapons, armour, air support, etc. MW3 is big, it's loud and it's all about the action. The entire package is huge; a 4 - 6 hour campaign with a massive online multiplayer plus 16 spec ops missions and a huge survival mode. I'm struggling to understand the 270 negative comments (at time of writing). For me, it's an essential purchase which represents excellent value and is THE multiplayer experience on console. SCORE: 9/10 - was going to give it 8 because the graphics aren't up there with the competitors but the size of the package puts this back up to the 9's for me.… Expand

    The one's giving this game a zero are the true bandwagon jumpers, not the ones who are rating this oblectively. Of course this game is same-y, and I would give it an easy 10 if it was not. But it is still an (obviously) awesome game. Do all fighting game sequels, ALL sports games, side-scoller sequels, and basically all sequels deserve a zero because there overly similiar to the previous game?

I have played all the CoDs, BFs, and other shooters. simply put mw3 is a great game but it doesn't aspire to greatness like the other CoDs did. the massive exodus from infinity ward is obviously stated in this games under development and inspiration. it makes me excited for respawn studios game though.I came here after seeing that Glen was looking for honest reviews and I will do as such.     It is simply a fantastic game. Does it follow the same formula that made the others very successful? Yes. Does it have a lack of imagination in places? Yes. But those are its only faults, and in today's market that is awesome. The campaign isn't groundbreaking but it is enjoyable and intense. Everyone gets this for the Multi-player anyway and that is where is shines. The way that itIt is simply a fantastic game. Does it follow the same formula that made the others very successful? Yes. Everyone gets this for the Multi-player anyway and that is where is shines. The way that it upgrades each individual weapon so you're forced to use it to upgrade it rather than saving money and buying what you want. It forces you to branch out of your comfort zone, even if for a while. The maps are pretty good, the different types of guns and kill streaks are entertaining and the overall experience is unmatched.
    Its easy to get done and badmouth the biggest game on the block which is what I think is going on here. I am sorry you don't sell 140 million copies of something that is as bad as some of these people are saying.     This game is so overrated. Most of us played this in 2007 and they are selling the same 4 years ago and everyone buys it. The campaign is worse than the BF3 has (I liked BF3 singleplayer more). The story is like: us 3 ubersoldiers can win the WW3 without any problems. Its so unrealistic. I dont mean that water guns have more recoil than the ones in MW3 but the action is so absurd. Ofc BF3This game is so overrated. Most of us played this in 2007 and they are selling the same 4 years ago and everyone buys it. The campaign is worse than the BF3 has (I liked BF3 singleplayer more). The story is like: us 3 ubersoldiers can win the WW3 without any problems. Its so unrealistic. No launch issues what so ever (besides COD Elite but that's a whole different product). I haven't experienced any bugs at all. Overall this will be my GOTY. Judge the game for what it is, and in my opinion it is great.Quite sad the way people are rating this game.     I really didn't want to bring up that other game (battlefield 3) but... I hated it. Last years Medal of Honor was a much better game than battlefield 3 in my opinion, but neither can stand up to MW3

    First of all as my name says shut the **** up trolls and bf3 fanboys. i haven´ played this game too much to rate it well, but for this far im liking it cause i wouldnt too expect to be a great new game with new amazing graphics but bf3 isn´t better. the gameplay is a little better than mw2. i don´t rate it more cause i don´t like the perks a lot

    It's superb! There aren't any bad things I can say about this game. There are no problems in this game at all so I'm enjoying online multiplayer very well. Spec Ops has been revamped with Survival mode which is really entertaining. Loving it to bits! Although this game is similar to MW2 but with all different maps!

If you don't believe me just do some research. I've only played MW3 for like 30 minutes it's what i expected it to be. Another great game for the COD series.     if it is not broke do not fix it, this is the same COD that everyone loves with more surprises and support options, just keep being the best. not complain that you are putting 0, I think they are frustrated lovers Battlefield.

Better visuals, better multiplayer, better scenarios, all make this the best COD ever, and one of the top 5 games on the system.

The all new game modes bring an exciting feel to the game, and the all new weapon system is to die for. The critic reviews are 100 percent accurate.     Great game the online is one of the best of the COD series as there are limited spots for campers, i do feel they need a few more open maps where you can actually use the sniper effectively. The campaign is also good but a bit short. The survival mode is also a good new addition which is fun to play with mates.

    Great game, yes it hasn't changed much since MW2 but their is only one reason for this... Because MW2 was one of the best games ever. Uncharted 3 is pretty much the same as Uncharted 2 yet it gets incredible reviews and thats because you cant improve on perfection sometimes people. This is the same for MW3, they couldn't really improve it from MW2 more than they have.

If you guys want something different go buy Battlefield. But, if your a CoD fan you definitely got to get this game. The multiplayer is fun and addictive and also easy to pick up and play for anyone new to the series and will keep you entertained for hours and the new game mode they added has become my new favorite thing to play. This game has also brought back Spec Ops if you somehow manage to get bored of the multiplayer with missions you can do that have nothing to do with the story and they also included a new survival mode. for those that dont know survival is basicly the same thing as zombies but they are actual people with guns trying to kill you instead of mindless animals and i like it way more than zombies and it actually gives you a feeling of accomplishment where as in zombies there is absolutly no gain and it is generally a waste of time. if you were expecting something different you should shoot that thought out of your arse because it is almost exactly the same thing and if you havent already picked up a copy of this game i think that you should defenatly try this out you will not be dissapointed… Expand

    There are things that can be better but nothing is perfect. Never the less i enjoy playing this game.

    Love it! Solo, spec ops and online are all brilliant! Survival mode is another great addition as well. Each to their own, i know this game isn't everyone's idea of what a FPS should be but it works for me!

    Haven't started single player or special ops yet but I hear their excellent, iv'e been completely glued to multiplayer since purchase on release day. So many great additions to MW3 online, there isn't really a bad map IMO, loads of fun, loads of pace, nice tweak to the killstreak system means anyone can now pick up kill streak rewards, all in all best COD game to date.

    MW3 is addicting, the maps are many and are extremely fun. The unlocks are amazing and seem like they will never end. This gives me such joy and motivation to keep playing. That is what makes CoD so special. Another aspect of CoD that I really enjoy is the Kill Cam. It helps me to see how I am killed so that I can improve and learn from mistakes. I wish Battlefield would add a Kill Cam. I am playing Domination religiously and I have had many good moments and went to bed around 2:30am last night.

    The best part of CoD is its controls and fluid game play. There is no chop chop in this game as it runs at a cool 60FPS. Playing Black Ops and then playing MW3 will show you the difference in the controls. MW3 has that solid flow to it compared to Black Ops cumbersome feel. I will play Black Ops and do ok, but with MW3's excellent control I do much better. Last night I went from level 8 to 18 in just a few hours. I know I have improved but I am able to track better in MW3 than Black Ops.

    Kill streaks are an incredible staple to the CoD franchise. The support strike packages are a welcome addition. They allow you to keep your kill streak alive even if you die. The assault strike package acts like the kill streaks from past CoD games which resets your kill streak when you die. I am not the best player by any means and will have a poor kill/death ratio. So this support strike package allows me to enjoy the kill streaks. So far I have spawned a UAV, SAM Turret, Remote Machine Gun Turret and a Stealth Bomber. The SAM Turret is cool because there are always kill streak planes flying over head. It's sweet to see missiles from your SAM Turret streak towards a Stealth Bomber!

    Speaking of missiles hitting Stealth Bombers or Helicopters, my rockets when locked hit the plane or helicopter but never seem to destroy it. I have hit a helicopter with a rocket and had it get extremely damaged and "Look" like it was going down but then stay in the air. I don't have another rocket so I cannot take it down. They should explode from one rocket IMHO or give me 2 rockets.

    My biggest disappointment is the knifing. This has gone unchanged and is still the fast air slash it was in the past. It would have been great to see a KZ3 or BF3 animated stabbing death. Other than that I don't have anything to complain about.

    There are 16 maps which I find very generous. They are from many different locations. I don't have a favorite yet as I am enjoying all the maps. I am sure over time as I learn the names I will enjoy my favorites. One thing I really love about CoD is that when you are killed it's so easy to get back in the action. It is unending and exhilarating.

    The audio is top notch falling a close second behind BF3's sound. The guns explode with realism along with the explosions. The planes and different kill streak sounds are amazing!

    IW and Sledgehammer did a great job. I don't feel like this is MW2.1 at all. This feels like a different game that has a lot to offer. They took a great formula and perfected it. This is the best CoD released yet. It is a shame that many of the CoD faithful have given a score of 0 when they are playing MW3 right now and really enjoying themselves. It appears that hypocrisy knows no bounds. I will be enjoying this one all year. Hopefully Treyarch can come back with a better effort than Black Ops. Zombies is amazing, but they need to do better on the CoD control feel and MP component.    … Expand

    I also own, play and really like other games of the same genre, so unlike some of the other reviews I will make this as fair and unbiased as possible in an attempt to be helpful.

    I've owned all the CoDs of the past few years on PS3 (since CoD4) and this is definitely the slickest, smoothest and fastest, although once I've prestige once I tend to start to get bored of them.

    The maps are great. They're varied and bigger than before. The MP part of the game flies. The graphics are slightly improved (think there's new lighting FX) with better textures and environments. It does feel very familiar, but for me thats a good thing and I believe people would be moaning if it were too different. For me, CoD should feel like CoD and this is definitely COD!

    Graphically, I'm always a little disappointed by any game (kinda feel like I want everything to visually be a generation of console better), but whilst this maybe isn't graphically the best game out there it does look truly great and should score highly on that front. It's also easy to spot things whilst running or panning and easy to see where you are going - not sure why but some games (Crysis 2, BF3) whilst maybe slightly better graphically seem far too visually busy and 'pixelly' for me making it nearly impossible to spot things and see where you're going... maybe that's more of a frame rate issue though as MW3 runs at a very smooth 60fps.

    If you don't own MW2 already this is definitely a must-buy and I'd score it with a 9+
    If you own MW2 then view this game as more of a technical and graphical along upgrade with 16 new maps and I'd give it a strong 8. You know what to expect before you play it.
    If you own Black Ops already, then I think whilst familiar, MW3 is definitely head and shoulders above Black Ops and I'd rate it with a 8.5.

    If you own BF3, then I think it would be a tough call to warrant buying this as well, although they are very different. To me MW3 feels much more like an adrenaline fuelled, arcade, high octane run and gun game and takes itself less seriously than certain other titles.

    Honestly irrepressible how easily people are attracted to the bandwagon approach, the general lack of candidness makes me sad to raise children in the "Internet" generation. Glen Schofield (along with everyone else at IW and SH) you deserve better reviews and the quality of the game should speak for itself. Congratulations on a well made piece of modern popular culture and video game history.

Call of Duty is the sports game of shooting people.

    As the franchise moves on, the focus is clearly on the lasting experience of multiplayer. Nowhere is that more evident than in this years release of Modern Warfare 3. People who have played Call of Duty online before will know what to expect here, though this year the refinements have made it the best in the series so far. Subtle emphasis on teamwork can be found in game modes such as Kill Confirmed and the Stike Package system. These new tweaks encourage players to try out different play styles and to work together helping their team towards victory. It's a very encouraging and welcome move by Infinity Ward. The multiplayer on a whole feals much more balanced than MW2 and is a deeper experience than Black Ops. The amount of content in the game is fairly staggering when you consider the number of hours that can be lost to levelling your character, your weapons, completing challenges and upgrading your loadout. Combined with a solid 6 hour campaign that will be a good challenge on the harder difficulties, and robust co-op modes this really is a wealth of content.

    The Spec ops mode is back from MW2 and is far more robust than last time. The missions focus on giving players different roles (similar to Overwatch in MW2). This technique basically doubles the amount of play you can get out of these side quests as you can play them all as both roles. Survival mode is a welcome new feature that is Call of Duty's take on Gears of War's Hoard mode. Pitting you against waves of increasingly difficult enemies this sounds like 'Zombies mode with soldiers'. However, it si far from it. By killing enemiesy you recieve money to buy upgrades and more weapons / armour. Eventually you will hit a point where you can't progress any further and it'll be game over. However, the catch is that you level up in spec ops in a similar way to multiplayer. This means that as you return for a second round of survival, you will have increased your level and more robust defensive and offensive equipment will be availible to you, thus enabling you to progress further. It is this reward and progress system that has made call of duty so addictive, and with each iteration the teams involved are finding new and impressive ways to keep you hooked for the 12 months until the next installment is released.

    The final major change comes with Call of Duty Elite. A free service similar to bungie.net that enables you to track all of your stats over both Black Ops and MW3. You can study your performance on each map, compare yourself to your friends, assign custom loadouts (which appear next time you start up the game) and read up on all manner of strategies and tips. There is a premium version availible for $50 / £35 which includes all the map packs to be released for the whole year (meaning that you save money in the long run) and other premium content such as video guides.

    This is the most complete Call of Duty package that we have seen yet. With a plethora of game modes this will satisfy even the most hardcore of players. However, the tweaks to the multiplayer and the options to act as a support character and still feel like you make a difference to the match makes this game one of the most welcoming to new players as well. If you have played Call of Duty and are not exhausted of the formula then you should pick this up. If you've never played Call of Duty then there has never been a better time to get on board.    … Expand

    The open microphone system in online multiplayer on the PS3 cuts in and out semi-frequently. It's not enough to make anyone inaudible, but it is a slight annoyance.

    While the 360 boasts a whopping 60 frames per second, it feels and looks as if the PS3 is running at 45 to 50 fps. This isn't a huge deal, but if you notice the little details, you will notice this, though 45 frames would still be higher than most other games out in this category of modern first person shooters.

    The online connection between players doesn't seem to be as good as that of the 360's version either for some reason, though, it is hardly noticeable. Once again, only someone with a sharp eye who lives and breathes gaming would notice this.

    I still recommend this game whole-heatedly. Though, if you have the option to choose between owning it on the XBOX 360 or PS3, choose the 360 version. The slight differences make it worth choosing one over the other.    … Expand

Michael Bay movies are generally pretty lame when it comes to story elements, but I still enjoy them because of the edge of your seat action. That is the exact same reason I love Modern Warfare. There are tons of moments that leave you on th edge of your seat. I've only played the first three missions, and each one of them had a moment that dropped my jaw entirely. Whether it was racing through a fleet of Russian battleships as they explode around you, or getting a first hand experience of a plane crash, I was blown away by these moments. Concerning multiplayer, I can tell you that it's a huge improvement over modern warfare 2. In mw2 you couldn't turn a corner without being vulnerable from six different directions. The new maps seem to be much more organized, while still maintaining the verticality of mw2. And the strike packages are a very welcome addition. I am by no means a pro at this. So to have the ability to still be a help to my team, despite my less than stellar kill-death ratio, helps those of us that don't always get the high scores. In closing, I'm sure I will be labled a fanboy, or accused of working for Activision, but I don't care. This is a good game, and people are showing their appalling ignorance by blasting it with these unbelievable review scores. The first modern warfare game was fun, and this one is too. Has anything changed since 2007? Not much. But really, how much has Halo changed in the last 10 years?… Expand

    I'm sad at the Battlefield players on here who are giving this game a 0 just because they are fan-boys who like to piss and moan. I'm sure 80% of the negative reviews are from people who haven't even played the game. Grow up people, MW3 is still a great game.

    After the fantastic campaign you can play in the great co-op or in the excellent multyplayer.
    In the co-op there is 2 optins: survivre mod/ regular co-op now i can tell you that the survive mod so fun that i can't bolive it is **** real! In all the waves the challeng get and that wesome! In    In one word? amazing! the campaign is awesome because the great plot and the great gameplay.

The basic mechanics of multiplayer are the same and with good reason. If it ain't broke don't fix it. There's always haters when a new cod comes out. Be responsible and give it a fair mature review.

    I'm a CoD fan since Call of duty 3 and from now on the only one that desapointe me is black ops put mw3 is a good game if you like mw2 you'll like it but there's little flaws where its not supposed to have. But in general the game is great and the graphique engine is better then previously. So its up to you.

For those that are willing to invest a little more time, I think there is a plethora of replay value hidden with the MW3 world. Survival mode is a very welcome addition, not to mention the fun to be had with the standard levels of Spec Ops. Although I would have maybe preferred 4 player for the survival mode, the feeling that is derived from battling it out with just one friend of yours is still very satisfying and has a high replay value. Multiplayer does feel slightly familiar to me, and the maps a little bit too condensed, but the strike packages are a real refreshment, as well as the ability to unlock weapon perks. Every single game it feels like your character is progressing, which is a good feeling overall. I do feel the game really does still need some work though, as the spawning system is still heavily flawed (I don't know how many times an enemy somehow has spawned directly behind me so far); as well as the inability to do simple things like climb onto a car, or any other reachable surfaces. I have been running often times and stopped completely in my tracks because my characters right arm must have bumped into a small object, which is a nuisance. Lag is also a huge issue (unless your able to afford stellar internet), I am supposed to be getting 7-10 MB a second, but in some games the opposing player doesn't even look like they have fired yet on my screen but I magically die and fell like chucking my controller across the room. When I actually do have a solid ping connection, it seems to run like most call of duty games before it. Another minor grip that i feel that black-ops got right, was during objective based matches like domination, when you zoom in inline towards a point, the A, B, or C, should fade out in order allow your field of vision to be unaffected if searching for an enemy. As a final note, the new game modes are fun (kill confirmed and team defender), and a welcome change of pace. I have not played the single player campaign yet, so my comments are more strictly reserved for Spec Ops and Multiplayer. The spawning issues, in my opinion, could be averted if we had a few bigger maps to choose from, as each of them feel slightly too small for my tastes. Though the map size may feel great to the run and gunners, its not for everyone. All in all, I am still satisfied with my purchase, as I have enjoyed the Call of Duty formula since the original Modern Warfare. I own battlefield 3 as well and will go back and forth between these two games depending on what style of combat I want to engage in for the day.… Expand

    Loved Modern warfare 1 and 2, and hasn't changed for 3. Graphics might be slightly improved but game play definitely has improved. Online play is even better and campaign was interesting but a good way to continue it. Campaign definitely improved since mw2 only had 5 hours of campaign play. Overall amazing game and deserves full marks.

    all the people that are voting negative, what you are doing is wrong! i bet you didn't even buy the game, so... why ruined for the rest?! If you want to vote buy it then say what you have to say.
    For the game itself i play it for its multplayer because i really love this kind of multiplayer, the campaing i see it as a training ground to check all the weapons.

    The game is awesome. The campaign is unbelievable and the new multiplayer is a great new twist. Most of these bad reviews are coming from people that don't even enjoy the CoD franchise. If you loved MW2, get this game. The reason there are so many bad user reviews is because the true fans are too busy playing it right now.

    There's a tangible insistence from gamers that this series needs to evolve, but it seems unwarranted when it still leads the FPS class. The engine's definitely in need of an overhaul, but when it comes to thumping set-pieces and addictive multiplayer design, Modern Warfare 3 is still in a league of its own.
