    I still kinda believe in Warcraft III: Refund but now at this stage i'm more than just a little disappointed. Money rules the world and Activision squeezes the **** out of Blizzard.

    When I was a kid, a friend introduced me to the then-just-released World of Warcraft. I fell in love, and immediately started playing. As my love for the game and the series grew, around the time of Burning Crusade, someone told me about the Warcraft games. As someone who loved Age of Empires, I was all-in. At the time I owned the hard copies which I had purchased or been gifted, for Warcraft 3. Unfortunately I lost those as I grew and moved out and then moved again. One day many years later, I saw that I could purchase the game digitally and play it off my Battle Net Launcher. I was thrilled.

    Come the launch of Warcraft 3 Reforged. I hadn't, actually, pre-ordered. That's not what this is about. I was waiting to see just how cool it was as, while I loved Warcraft 3, I had a lot of other games by this point in my life. But this... this was not what I expected.

    Blizzard stole from me. I didn't realize it at first, but then a friend pointed it out to me. 'Hey, my original Warcraft 3 is gone from my launcher'. Sure as heck, it was. Gone and, as of all the research I can find at the time of this review, unable to be re-installed unless you have the hard copy of the disks.

    I don't remember this in your W3 Reforged sales pitch, Blizzard. I don't remember talking about stealing from players and forcing them to re-purchase the new game just to hit a toggle switch to play the old version with your 'classic' graphics or whatever they're called. And you know what, I'll fall on my sword, maybe it Was there in the fine print and I just missed it. But that doesn't make it right.

    Would love to get back into the W3 cosmos, although i don't want to ruin one of my Top 3 childhood-gaming experiences. Maybe it will be a finished product next January.
    Also: There's no TFT? Coming at u as another expo? LOL

    Этот ремастер не стоит и гроша. Лучше пойти в оригинал 2002 года поиграть. А если он ничего не стоит то и оценка соответствующая. Не забудем также добавить сюда невыполненные обещания и откровенную ложь. Метелица похоже доживает свои дни как это ни печально. Хотя в метелице из людей что работали там почти с самого начала студии остались единицы. Так что нынешние Близзард это уже не те чтоЭтот ремастер не стоит и гроша.     This game delievers on barely any of blizzards promises, bad game performance, incomplete modes and functionality. Was excited for this game, preordered a game for the first time in years, very disappointed.

    I cannot even begin to fathom the mindset behind the entire dev team on days before and the day of releasing this product to consumers. In no way shape or form was this more than but an alpha test riddled with bugs and horrible decisions. I cannot recommend this not for a VERY long time.

    There are missing features which were in original WC3, false advertising regarding the new cutscenes, draconian new rules for custom maps, the fact all these issues affect the original game even if you didn't buy Reforged.

    The list goes on and on..

Just unbelievably **** from one of the companies who used to be my #1 by miles.     Only Activision could ruin one of the best games E V E R made. Not only is this a poor graphical upgrade, but you chose to crap all over the online community that not only made the game better, but made it immortal. You just ensured nobody will ever take this game seriously for sake of you trying to monetize their hard work. Congrats!!!

If content is advertised but not in the game at launch, it's false advertising. Warcraft 3 along with KOTOR and elder scrolls were games that made me fall in love with the medium.     BUT I also have to say you guys are severely overreacting. Why does giving a 0 give you guys so much pleasure? I really don't understand.

    The units and textures have been polished, and actually do look very good. The gameplay still stands, and to this day is still one of the best RTS experiences you can have on any platform.

    I cannot give the game a positive score, but I won't follow the blind fanboy rage and give it a 0 either. The problem with Metacritic score is you only dish out 0 and 10. Just look at the game for wat it is, a good revisitation of a classic game, which doesn't hold up to the promises made by the publisher.

    4/10 for the things that are good about it: story, campaign, graphical polish on units/buildings/tiles. Negative because of the lack in features and withheld promises.    … Expand

    I cannot believe how trash this game is and how blizzard could back stab its own loyal fan base. Graphics so terrible, there is literally no anti aliasing. The classic graphics were downgraded very much as well. Even worse the original game is gone! Shame on you blizzard.

    Terrible. Broken promises and soul crushed by a company I fell in love with at the age of 14. I started playing WoW first in 2005 and went back in 2006 to experience the RTS that inspired them to create the azeroth I fell in love with. Blizzard won't get anymore money from me. I am done and looking forward not back.

    It's a worse version of the original game in almost every way. New graphics look terribly out of place, the game has lost much of it's charm. And that's about all the new things you get. Everything else was either not delivered as promised, or even removed from the original game. If you want to play a worse game than the original, I suppose you found the right game.

    I will never play blizzard games anymore. This game is so bad. 4 years ago I loved blizzard, I played HotS, but then they killed HotS, they started doing gamedev only for money and WC3R is apogee of all this **** Don't buy their games pls. I'm waiting for the moment when Blizzard will unit with EGS, create their own shop and go bankrupt together.

    False Advertising! Absolutely Disappointed! Blizzard has failed this game completely! Having already given up on WoW, and other Blizzard games and now this?! I don't even believe other Blizzard games will ever be good again. I was excited for this game and Diablo 4 but I have no faith left in Blizzard and no longer have interest in Diablo 4, I would only be disappointed again!

    Making a cheap cashgrab with uglier graphics is one thing (i don't really blame blizzard for the graphics, they forgot how to code and therefore don't know how to write an engine anymore).
    However dDowngrading and removing features on the original game is another. Blizzard really outdid themselves on this one.

    Very disappointed, loved the old title.
    Blizzard has dropped the quality of their work very much in the recent years.
    The score is in comparison to the original and the promises made and not fulfilled.

    Really disappointed. False advertising. Do not buy, there is no intent from blizzard to fix this, as advertising content that isn't actually going to be in the game is their new M.O.

    Nothing that they promised, crashes a lot, the characters have a better visual than the original but the map seems the same graphically speaking, and only the fist cinematic was remade, the others are literally the same

    Basically the old game, with close to nothing added to it... except bugs

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
