    Blizzard has been making all the wrong decisions, this game probably flopped so hard it's caused a ripple effect that can send blizzard from being one of the best game dev companies of all time to one of the worst.

    Not only did Blizzard release such a disappointing title such as Warcraft 3 Reforged, which in a lot of cases looks worse than the original, they also decided to ruin the original game as well. Definitely refunding this one until they decide to fix this mess.

But then to take away the ability for me to enjoy the REAL version of this classic has got to be one of the lowest things I've seen a developer do in years. I was sad to see that I could no longer download the legacy clients anymore, from CD keys I registered to my battle.net account many years ago.     What a disgrace to the franchise and the memory of an incredible game. The world would have literally been a better place had this never been developed (given that it wrecked the original game, removed features etc). Not sure any other game in history can claim that...

    Game is not what was advertised on presale, recycled graphics, no new menus, promised 4 hrs of cinematics, game crashes, game over will appear at start of campaign withoutndoing a thing.it is the opposite of everything this game should have been.
    Bad quality, this is just a reskin of the previous game.

    I think I'll go with the main menu UI as it is the most indicative of the utter ineptitude present in this 'remaster'. Whoever was assigned to updating this UI didn't understand a goddamn thing about the programming language and/or environment the UI was written in. But what they did understand was 2000 level college web development classes. So how did this underpayed, underexperienced intern decide to 'update' the main menu UI?

    Build the whole thing as a chrome plug in and have a Warcraft 3 launch chrome which launches their rookie level Javascript. Basically its duct tape holding a band aid applied with Elmer's glue. The UI cannot run without dropping frames on my 3.8Ghz CPU / 2080ti GPU. This is an impressive feat for a game that was still relatively painless to get up and running on Windows 10 just a few weeks ago.

    This level of 'quality' is indicative of the entirety of the game. This from a company that marketed itself on business integrity, immense polish, and industry leadership by example. Its in their mission statement that remains on their website to this day.

    Its time for us to face the facts. Blizzard is not only going to continue releasing awful games, They will be defacing masterpieces of the 90's and early 2000's for a quick buck, so that even the most shining examples of their once lauded mastery become unrecognizable.

I was hoping they will give new life to the community maps, mods and such, but they not only underdelivered, they spit their fans in the face.     4+ hours of reforged cinematics! Amazing! Literally have this posted next to the Blizzcon 2018 Culling of Stratholme cinematic posted on their OFFICIAL game page.

    Bait and switch. The only thing they did was slap on a fresh coat of paint. Got my refund. Blizzard's soul has been irreparably damaged by their new lord and owner Activision.

    Such a damn shame.

    What a heap of trash this game is. Took a 15 year old game and downgraded everything about it. Now I can't even play my old copy of Warcraft 3. Tack on the bait and switch marketing, greedy and shady refund policy, and the communist leanings...I am done with Activision Blizzard products for the foreseeable future.

    Blizzard used to be a staple of polished games with great user experience. Warcraft 3 reforged is an unfinished game with less to offer than the original warcraft 3. The saddest and scummiest part is that Blizzard has taken away the original warcraft 3.

    This is a broken mess that doesn't deliver what was promised, and features that were available in the old Warcraft 3 is no longer available. Not even if you try to play the original game, as you are forced to use the new client.

    This is my first review on metacritic ever. 20 years of playing 1000+ games and I never felt this feeling before. The feeling I need to rate a game. Blizzard was really special. They made games that was like perfect for me and many others. This is just a TRASH. Maybe kind better in graphics but worse in every other aspect. Ladies and gantlemans, this is Warcraft 3 Refunded.

    False Advertising, Blizzard did not produce what they promised. They failed to give this otherwise incredible game the respect that it, and we, deserved. I had been looking forward to this release since they announced it. Now I wish they had left it alone, because it was better before they "made it better"

    I bought this game and I regret it. The game is entirely not as described. The older version is significantly better than this "upgraded" release.

    Upgraded to 1/10 because they gave me my money back.

    This so sad...childhood ruined. I played Warcraft 3 back in the day, I'm not an online player just campaign. I was so excited when the initial trailer came out because I could relive my childhood on a modern PC and ultrawide monitor. I got the game and it just plays for a bit and crashes. Also no 3440×1440? and what's up with the GIANT UI. Sorry Blizzard you have some explaining to do.

    I played the beta, then I watched my friend. His computer far surpasses the requirements for the game. Sound fails, auto defeat and other bad stuff.

    0/10 - unplayable and false advertisements for graphics, cinematics, and removal of ranked/custom campaigns.

I am disappointed that the only game i played for more than 15 years is gone now. I played nights avoiding homework, stress environment and meeting up with friends with this game!     Una falta de respeto a la comunidad de PC, arruinaron un clásico, si, existe una pequeña mejora gráfica pero no más, todo lo demás son errores. Además arruinaron la versión clásica para imponer esto. Y a eso se le puede sumar el "robo" (ya que no se como más llamarlo) de todo el contenido que tú puedas crear.

    The RTS community was hopeful that Warcraft would be modernized in the same ways starcraft was. This ended up being the same game from 2002, clanky game play , outdated interfaces / awkward hotkeys / bulky design - absolutely heartbreaking, as a childhood fan of the original Warcraft
    RTS series.

    I can't pinpoint when exactly they changed, but Blizzard is no longer the company it once was. 2019 was a bad year for them (and Blizzard gamers), and with this release, 2020 is shaping up to be worse.

    I refuse to pay blizzard for releasing this turd sandwich. Hopefully they realize the mistake and create what we were promised as opposed to a $30 re-skin.

    It is really upsetting to see what Blizzard has become now that Activision is part of their company. For many years Warcraft 3 was my absolute favorite game and I have logged countless hours on it since its release. For years and years, the community of this game has been anxiously waiting for a decent remaster, only to finally get one and be met with nothing but massive disappointment andIt is really upsetting to see what Blizzard has become now that Activision is part of their company. For years and years, the community of this game has been anxiously waiting for a decent remaster, only to finally get one and be met with nothing but massive disappointment and an even clearer look into the now shady business practices of Blizzard/Activision.

    As the years go on it becomes clearer that Blizzard is not the company they used to be and I will definitely keep that in mind with any future games released from them.

    Very disapointed with the final product.

    - No new UI
    - No new cutscenes (just the old ones rescaled)
    - Lots of old features missing

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
