    I bought this game in 2003 and I am a live long fan of the franchise, but this game is the greatest disappointment in gaming history... This game feels like it was developed in 2010 and has little to no love in it.

    Disappointed in Blizzard. This isn't the same company that made Warcraft and Starcraft, or even Overwatch more "recently", that's for sure. It's very possible that Blizzard is dead. I see what they were trying to do with Reforged, but it was poorly executed, and worse, forced on players/owners of the original game. Bad form, Blizzard, bad form.

    After 7 and half months there is still no ladder and new patches fix the size of a chicken footprint? Seriously? No hope for re-balance. Blind and arrogant developers... This is a pure shame. Just pure shame.

    De todos lo que prometieron solo pusieron nuevos skins no todos. Así que fue todo mentiss. Pero además trajeron los siguientes Bugs.

    Las campañas están bugueadas y solo se puede jugar en fácil. Haciendo que la historia no tenga peso. No implementado del todo la nueva campaña que prometieron.     A true disappointment. Never in a million years would I have allowed such a game to be shipped to my customers. The main issues for me being:

    Models look like they were made by different designers in different offices and the consistency shows. Some just don't match the theme and look totally out of place. I have no evidence of this, but that's my impression.

    The game feels utterly unpolished. One of the first things I did when I started the game was jump into a skirmish against/with bots, and to my surprise, the AI hadn't even been touched. It was also riddled with bugs at release and just.....felt like a rushed game with little commitment or investment.

    Overall, I dare say the original rendition on the game was far superior and the disconnect from the lead designers / decision makers shows that this game was made by accountants rather than people passionate about the game they were making.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Remember, this is a review of Warcraft 3 Reforged, the original had already been reviewed so years ago. I'm considering the new content and their delivery when writing this.
    This game is a steal. Stole my money, stole my time, stole my previous copy of Warcraft 3, and took all my hopes. The initial trailer for the game isn't representative of any cutscenes and the new reworked maps and 4+hours of content still being advertised on their website is a lie. The main menu is an unfinished clunk of work that added on features like slapping pizza slice on the fridge door and expecting me not to notice. I couldn't believe my eyes when I finally managed to run the game for more than an hour (campaign kept crashing) and noticed that nothing had been added. No reworked missions, no reworked dialogue, voice acting, unit storylines, and glitchy units. None of the new content was fully finished as it was advertised.
    When you finally play "The Culling" mission that looked extremely promising, you're introduced to the only reworked mission up to this point WITHOUT the cutscenes in the trailer that made you buy it in the first place. The game difficulty wasn't adjusted properly either so hard mode felt like normal and for a game being released in 2020, I wasn't surprised.
    The battle net interface is a work in progress. The settings are a work in progress. The Reforged experience on the other hand is finished, Blizzard will not be delivering any of the original content it's still selling on its website.

    I'm giving this game a 1 rating because it is trash. The unfinished product doesn't justify the price. The advertisement for the game was a lie. My older copy of Wacraft 3 was replaced and fixed considering the fact I had already paid for that game 15+ years ago. And Blizzard's response to this was sorry. That's it, sorry.    … Expand

    lousy, it comes with fewer features than the original base game and they didn't deliver what they promised, I don't think a remastered would have been that lousy. lousy campaign to promise reforging

    Had a blast with this one. Not as bad as people say it is. Maybe because of nostalgia but even with the stripped features wc3 is ons of my favourite games of all time.

    RIP Blizzard, long live Activision. This game is just a marketing scheme. Many of the advertised features were not delivered, and worse yet, the classic game has been turned off.

    i haven’t played it nor will i ever this game doesn’t look interesting to me considering this has the lowest score ever it doesn’t look like it’s good pokemon sword and shield were games that got hate but i liked them but that’s because i tried them because they were interesting to me because i love pokemon but this looks plain garbage

    L’interface et le menu est beuggé. Je ne peux toujours pas jouer aux custom maps que j'ai faites et qui sont ouvrable dans l'éditeur.
    Bref un scandale, je vais rester sur la version classique finalement.
    Activision-Blizzard vous venez de perdre un client.

    i love it as much as warcraft 3 original , its the same thing with higher quality , i loved the game when they hear our problems and fixed them .
    the only problem is that all cinematics are all not changed , i think 60 - 70 percents are changed , and you have to see 40 - 30 percents of all cinematics in low quality .
    i played over 300 hours and i dont have any problem with matchmaking or    i love it as much as warcraft 3 original , its the same thing with higher quality , i loved the game when they hear our problems and fixed them .

    This is the absolute betrayal of fans, who just expected a polished, graphical updated version of their favourite game. Instead, Blizzard shat all over its legacy and managed to ruin the last pillar of RTS gaming. How can you fail an already perfect game which just needed a small graphic update?     The tidal-wave of greed and the near-complete absence of any effort that has been evidently put into this game however warps the mind and breaks one's sanity in a very sickening way. The only question that should be asked is; "Why do this? What purpose does this serve?" The horrifying state in which the game has been released is inexcusable in contrast to what was promised in 2018 and throughout the game's development.

    I thought I should wait before buying this game and see if re-buying this title would be justified. The answer should be deafeningly obvious to anyone who spends any time at all comparing the titles. (H)ac(k)tivision Blizzard is poison of the foulest kind to gaming industry and literally continues to poison the ocean with its excretion of garbage games.

    Abandon all hope. The executive branch of this bloated and rotting carcass of a company is high on their own gastrointestinal compounds and any common sense to displays of decency has been abandoned long ago. Instead of making an effort in "releasing once it is ready", the corporate edgelords of this coven of unmitigated and unaldurated greed have decided to renounce their paltry vestiges of decency and gorge themselves by cannibalising yet another "golden goose" in a vile display of brutal and mindless orgy of violence and debauchery.

    I do not condemn the poor bastard developers for this horrid nightmare, since seeing how poorly the employees are being constantly treated at Activision should make it evident, that they are hardly at fault. The major issue is the inept and greedy upper corporate management, whose proverbial middle fingers are proudly plastered all over their cynically stitched together product line.

    Sadly, these corporate cretins are simply animalistically following the herd of other big corporations rampaging through their customer bases with wild abandon, not caring about anything else than when they are going to get their next meal. The circle is complete. Animal instinct has triumphed over any lingering traces of human thought as Triple A gaming industry tramples everything it sees as a profit making opportunity to death in its desperation for a quick and easy fix to its all-consuming hunger for just one more penny. The cost comes from the broken husks of their neglected employees, whose spines and bones are grounded to dust and snorted with glee by their corporate overlords. Sacrificing lesser beings than oneself at the altar of megalomaniacal avarice and uncaring, self-absorbed profiteering is how world should be run according to these monsters.     Blizzard has finally redeemed itself by restoring the masterpiece that is Warcraft 3 to its former glory and more:

    -All custom maps are fully working and stable. -The World Editor has been updated beyond imagination and you can play multiplayer God Of War in a custom map -The servers are merged so you can play in the same lobby with USA and Asia and EUROPE players -The    Blizzard has finally redeemed itself by restoring the masterpiece that is Warcraft 3 to its former glory and more:

    -All custom maps are fully working and stable.

    -The World Editor has been updated beyond imagination and you can play multiplayer God Of War in a custom map

    -The servers are merged so you can play in the same lobby with USA and Asia and EUROPE players

    -The matchmaking system & official (melee) game modes are working perfectly & super fun compared to classic

    -All of the missing features from classic such as clans have been added back

    -The EULA/ToS/License Agreement have been changed to be similar to the original (Ownership of custom maps belongs to the mapmaker only and not Blizzard)

    -Brand new features like voice-chat and the ability to reconnect after a disconnection and to spectate your friends games (custom maps or matchmaking) made their way in a recent update

    -Lots of bug-fixes and the game is as stable as the 1.26 version of classic

    -The Playerbase has reached the highest number in the history of the game playing daily.

    Horrible game. Have played blizzard games for many years, and this is the worst. Quests are much too easy and not even challenging. Random game play is way too hard. Random battles kill hero's while on easiest mode, enemies hero's grow stronger and overwhelm my hero. I have won all quests but rarely win random game on easiest mode. Little help on game play and quests don't help. IHorrible game. Have played blizzard games for many years, and this is the worst. Quests are much too easy and not even challenging. Random game play is way too hard. Random battles kill hero's while on easiest mode, enemies hero's grow stronger and overwhelm my hero.     Remaster of games that actually removes things instead of adding them. I never give 0 but this one is well deserved as it is insane cash grab. LAN play removed. Do I have to say more? It is downgrade to good old game as original WC3 was basically removed. If you do not have reforged menu is grey which is clear split into my face from Lulzzard.

    I had fun playing this game and got 40 plus hours of entertainment. It's probably nostalgia that helped with that, but its such a good story and reminded me of when I played Warcraft back in the day. I also played recently, so many the bugs were fixed that some people experienced.

    Positive review just to balance all the 0s. The game is neither a 10/10 nor is it a 0/10. It's more around 5-6/10, and it definitely does not deserve to be under crap like Day One: Garry's Incident. You may be butthurt, but it's an adequate game.

    This game was the biggest disappointment ever. There is actually nothing new, some things are worse or are removed at all! What happened to multiplayer?! The only thing that is new are graphics but those make the game buggy, it looks weird and you can not really tell who is who in the fight unlike in original when you can tell what unit is who on first glance.     Worst part is that old Warcraft is not available anymore.

    wow. this game is amazing. i booted up reforged and its the new graphics which i hate with a passion. couldnt stand the new art style. luckily you can revert to the old graphics with the classic art style. the intended style of art thats in WoW. the cinematics and cut scenes only match the old art style. nostalgia instantly after changing to classic. TY for doing this

    5 meses han pasado y aún no hay cambios, no funciona bien el multijugador, no hay perfiles, clanes, etc. Ademas está mal optimizado y sinceramente los gráficos no dejan mucho que desear, las texturas del terreno eran mucho más naturales y creíbles en Warcraft de hace 20 añosnque ahora.

    I was an avid Warcraft III player back in the day and I have played a lot of games and loved many of them. Warcraft III was my all-time favourite. Words can not describe my disappointed in this "Reforged" version. I do not need to repeat every single broken promise which has been documented thousands of times by other enthusiasts. I will just share my personal experience with "Reforged".

    I only own the classic version and today was the first time I tried to play it since the Reforged release. My game was forcefully updated to the Reforge version and now consumes 26.5GB of disk space as compared to 1.3 GB before. When I launched Warcraft 3 I was met by a closed gate and a message saying "Error There was an error in handling the request." I clicked on OK and the game continued to show the closed gate for a while until it crashed. So I tried launching it again and the same problem occured. I am now unable to play Warcraft III Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, games which I purchased at least 15 years ago.

    My verdict of Warcraft III Reforged is that it was an incredibly sloppy job done to one of the greatest games in history. Personally, I'd like to call Reforge an attempted scam and cash grab. A 30 GB malware which renders your previously purchased and perfectly working game unplayable.    … Expand

    Here ended the so called reforge changes, no new UI, No 4 Hours new cinematics, Not the same style of ingame cinematics they showed in 2018.

    I have a 2080 GTX TI and could run the game with now issues 4K 60FPS, but the ingame cinematics are locked on 20-25 fps, it is just not acceptable. I started to research how to fix that issue and then for the first time saw what Blizzard truly has done.

    I read about the mods and what they were planning, disgusting. I have the fondest memories from the game MODs, playing with friends at LAN parties, early 2000ends. Only good thing come out of this was that they refund my pre-order.
    Blizzard is done, and to be honest it was like this for while now. I would never pre-order anything from them and they can not fool us with some shiny Diablo IV teasers.

    This game is a total lie from Blizzard, The UI is not the one we were expecting in the Blizcon in 2018, and the animation is not same as well. This is cheating their customer, and they also force all people who previously owned the old warcraft 3 have to switch it to boost the sales. it is totally false advertisement to the customer.

    Personally, I dont give much of a dam what everyone else is lambasting it for, because its extremely blown out of the water, as if Blizzard barged into their home and shot their dog or smth, not to mention half of these negative reviews are    This game is fantastic!     Now, after their recent patch, all bushes on the maps have turned in to black/green cubes.

    Personally, I don't care about the campaign or cutscenes at all. So F all that noise. But I do care about the competitive multiplayer part of it, which currently lacks any kind of ELO/MMR/Rank/Ladder system, making it a painful experience where I have to deal with inexperienced morons in my team time after time. It's full of toxic trolls, and idiots. People with no manners in any way, shape or form. You can't not win your way away from these incapable subhumans, and get to play with players that have a brain.

    Now, after the patch, they introduced this brand new and amazing feature..... INVISIBLE CREEPS THAT YOU CAN'T ATTACK! Which is awesome! It doesn't affetc all players, but it sure as hell Fs me over! Can't build expansion bases becase there are invisible enemies blocking it, that I can not kill, and will kill any building I create near them, or unit I place near them. So this BS has lost me a couple of games.

    I can't bother thinking about all the crap that's messed up, but on a gameplay level there are a serious amount of rage-inducing bugs that have made me just ragequit several 1v1 games. Like not being able to pick up units. You send a unit somewhere, then it goes somewhere else and dies instead. You click hold position, and then the units just attacks and gets itself killed anyway. So F your micro, it ain't worth sh##. The game's gonna make sure of that.

    Utterly disappointing remake. What the F did you do for all these years, Blizzard!??!?! scratch your assets!? (see what I did there?) You greedy asset-holes. And reading up on their EULA, that's not even a made up word. It's truth. Years in the making, and they make it worse than the 18 year old original. What on earth!? Greedy, cash-grabbing scum!

    Random Team games are still rampant with **** and teamkillers and trolls and retards, JUST like it was on classic after blizzard decided they'd stop giving a crap about people ruining the game for other people, and just let them run loose and do what they want. They still do. With no repercussion.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
