    This game is worse than the original. The worst thing is they removed the original so I can't even play the actual game I paid for ages ago. A baltant and pathetic cash grab. Bliz has fallen, no longer the company that used to make great games at all.

    Игра тупо не работает, в меню 10 fps (i7 GTX1070 16ram), игра постоянно подвисает. Когда включена старая графика, все равно ландшафт и некоторые эффекты новые. Пропал тот шарм, которы в игре был раньше.

    I thank blizzard for updating warcraft 3, which included better craphics, faster pings on bnet. Ability to play vs other regions (yes I sometimes hate it but it brought a lot more players into ladder).
    Some improvements was really small like showing mana bar and levels. But most importantly they didnt change the recipe too much so many tactics are still viable that were on the past.

    Because of people reaction the developers were overwhelm with negativity unable to create ladder stats and vieable player profiles.

    Because I have played this game since release of tft and took this craphical update with passion I am disappointed by peoples rejection and it feels like its being also targeted me, I cant believe how many people are out there who completely and utterly disagrees my point of views and opinions..    … Expand

    There are no words to describe this disappointment... I also would have paid, at least 100 € to keep Blizzard from "remaking" this masterpiece, should have I known what to expect. Please bring the original game back.

    A ver no soy de los que tira hate, pero cuando algo que me disgusta lo digo. El juego, se podría decir, y de una manera optimista, que es jugable, creo. Pero lo que no logro comprender es que, como es que ya no se puede jugar los WC clásicos y que la empresa te obligue a jugarlo, eso definitivamente es malo.     Remastered medium quality. No new UI, cutscenes. Just new textures. But, quite playable. In addition, support for the game is practically discontinued.

    This game was a big part of my childhood and I connect many memories with it.
    Reforged is the best example of how a masterpiece evolves to a trash bin. Seriously, Im pretty sure I wont buy any more games of Blizzard at all.

    The original warcraft had a beloved user interface, clans, chat channels, and a ladder ranking system.     Still bad, still no features available in classic Warcraft III. The unresponsive UI written in some web framework instead of native technologies, which causes lags, strange behaviors etc. still annoys af.

    They sold us : cinematics....nothing
    Graphics are not that bad but its not enough these days. Reforged was not the appropriate name. GOTY was better...but without touching the old one. Nowadays, old is always better ;)

    When this game was announced it was promised to be a total overhaul of the OG WC3. Even hinting the addition of new races during the open beta. It's been more than a year since the last update that this game had, and with activition blizzard wanting to take over any mod done to this game I think we won't have anything from the modding scene to fix this mess.

    I'm a long time PC gamer and former Blizzard fanboy. As of the release of reforged, I had been playing warcraft 3 (original version) weekly, if not daily. Unfortunately, I can no longer do that. Blizzard destroyed the old version of War3, replacing it with reforged.

    In a word, reforged is non-functional. I can login and see the chat rooms, and that's it. Every other aspect of the    I'm a long time PC gamer and former Blizzard fanboy. As of the release of reforged, I had been playing warcraft 3 (original version) weekly, if not daily. Unfortunately, I can no longer do that. Blizzard destroyed the old version of War3, replacing it with reforged.

    In a word, reforged is non-functional. I can login and see the chat rooms, and that's it. Every other aspect of the game is non-functional. I tried to play the campaign and it crashed over and over. I literally couldn't get to the point at which I could play the game. Occasionally the scenario would end, saying I failed (without having played). The multiplayer is broken too. I can't join custom games - it instantaneously kicks me out of the game.

    After about 3 hours of trying, I have never made it to an actual gameplay screen.

    Hopefully Blizzard can fix this atrocity, but frankly I'm shocked that the game was released in this state. Selling people a broken, non-functional product is NOT OKAY.    … Expand

    Having just played diablo 2 resurrected(the name fits well, because it looks like they really just resurrected all characters from their long forsaken tombs) I just cant give the WC3 worse rating than that ungodly eye-bleeding nightmare. 5 out of 10 just for non-censored approach. The last two games I adored are remastered, so now I just say farewell Blizzard go tk hell

    Horrific remake that almost broke the wonderful community that been built around this masterpiece. It was so laughably simple for Blizzard to get a big win from this and a lot of kudos/love from the community. Just update the graphics (even to a DOTA 2 standard would have been wonderful), update the ladder with a few quality of life improvements (easier to do AT, easier to host games,Horrific remake that almost broke the wonderful community that been built around this masterpiece. It was so laughably simple for Blizzard to get a big win from this and a lot of kudos/love from the community. Just update the graphics (even to a DOTA 2 standard would have been wonderful), update the ladder with a few quality of life improvements (easier to do AT, easier to host games, reconnect, mute chat etc). That is literally all the community wanted and it shows how out of touch this once legendary development studio has become with it's customers but also its own standards.… Expand

    I've played Wc3 since launch and also played several hours of reforge now and reforge is not the best Warcraft we ever had. Its a shame and a disappointment.

    I've waited all this time for fixes before reviewing it, but it seems like I've just lost $ on this game. It still broken, terrible performance, no updates at all. Just plain garbage and my money is gone now.

    I played Warcraft3 from launch on my Mac until the game stopped launching in that OS. I recently learned of this new version and gave it a try. The new menu is a bloated mess, the graphics look terrible, and the performance is sluggish.

    I wish they had just patched the old version of Frozen Throne to work on newer operating systems.

    The second issue I have is the changes in the company's approach to custom maps. Blizzard implemented rules so that they would own anything created in these maps. My opinion is this was so that they wouldnt "miss out" on the next opportunity which completely misses that they missed out on this one. if Blizzard had approached the DOTA team and said hey we want to hire you and buy your game idea for $50k i can pretty well guarantee that the team would have been all about it. Instead Blizzard now wishes it had done so missing that the opportunity was there but they couldnt see it and instead of appreciating that several highly popular game types are now available to enjoy they can only see the missed opportunity they could never have seen anyway.    … Expand

    Still waiting for ranked game in one and a half year, the worst remake ever by far, ruining the game and leaving it. The game was better before reforged i can tell you that, i love this game so much and they ruined the last part of it.
    Thire review is one and a half year after release, it's a shame. The game is dead cuz of a remake...

It's a shameless cash grab with a couple of female characters added in for wokeness, garbage graphics and filled in with bugs. This was NOT made by Blizzard, but outsourced somewhere.     The game itself has over-promised and under-delivered, which won't be the worst offense. The worst one is that this re-release it has ruined the original game from 2001 which now required a 22GB download to still play the exact same original game which was 1.5GB.

    Not because the classic version of the story is bad. But the first time I see a remake having more BUGS than before, everything SLOWER (a game from 2003) even the Menus.

    Not because the classic version of the story is bad. But the first time I see a remake having more BUGS than before, everything SLOWER (a game from 2003) even the Menus.

Ещё умудрились поломать многие функции BattleNet, не говоря уж о том, что качество работы серверов просто отвратительное. Постоянно выкидывает из игры, фризы и подвисания. Игру я купил про сути через полтора года после релиза, и состояние у игры прямо скажем не очень.Ремастер, конечно, не удался.     Garbage game, doesn't deserve to bear the title of "Warcraft 3." The "reforged skins" are so bad to the point that even legends in the games such as 4k Grubby plays the game with the older models, completely defeating the point of this "reforged" since the most prominent people along with most of the ladder players are playing the game with the old models before "reforged". more likeGarbage game, doesn't deserve to bear the title of "Warcraft 3."     For now this is just a scam. Blizzard destroyed our favorite game. But I think this is still can be fixed. They just need to invest more money + people to this game and it will pay off. But I'll never pay for another Blizzard's remaster. Fck your Diablo 2 remaster crap. It will be the same scam.

    WC III: refunded - is by far the worst disappointing release in the whole game industry!
    Raw, bugged, glitched, lagged - are not the reasons I've written this review.
    But the degradation of Blizzard is so horrible, that they've managed to release in 20 20 "upgrade" that made their own game of 2002 worse, even in terms of graphics!
    Refund and 0 score - that's the maximum which Blizzard deserves!

    I grew up with Warcraft III, it was always my favorite game, but Blizzard ruined it completely. Somehow they made every single thing in the game worse, even the new models look more like they were made for screenshots not gameplay. The worst thing is that they've killed the classic game, you can't play the original anymore. This is basically a huge f*** you to all of the fans. Thanks Blizzard!

    Real Review: I played for several hours, both normal matches and custom games. There is no ranked play. From what other players are saying, it just matches you randomly with anyone, at any skill level. No profiles, no way to view win/loss. Custom games are even worse. I bought it to play some of my favorite custom maps....and asked for a refund because only older versions of the map work, still have issues with hosting, and then desynch and kick people randomly, even the host. Large maps also have lag issues, and the lag gets worse if the graphics are turned down. Not to mention Blizzard claims all custom maps as their intellectual property now, no joke. Not even sure how that is legal because old custom maps preexisted Reforged and should be exempt from new rules, but people then edit those old maps... Regardless this game is pretty much the old game with new graphics, not as much gameplay polish, missing a ton of features, with lots of bugs, particularly in regards to custom maps. For example, on one map, the game decided a bridge did not exist and was instead an invisible ramp so units would walk up and down cliffs.

    It is a beta or even alpha version of what it should be. Blizzard has been releasing incomplete games at retail pricing then adding to them over time to flesh them out. Compare HotS and OW to what they were on launch and you can see what I mean. They also did that with Reforged, but what they sold was an incomplete and buggy version of the same game they sold over 15 years ago. It would have been fine if they started with that game then updated to add to it, but all they really have is the campaign, most of the multiplayer, part of the custom games support, and almost none of the online chat/interface options.

    I am not paying $30 for a less optimized, and incomplete version of a game i can get anywhere for $15-$20. This game would get a 6 if it was released as a new title, but as a remake it gets a 0, because it is not even the complete game.

    i made a metacritic account to rate this as a zero and say how much i hate this game. not only is it a hideous reskin of what was an ageless and charming game, but its also 32gb AND BREAKS THE ORIGINAL GAME. it makes me sick that this abomination had to go and alter the original classic for the worst. breaks my heart

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
