    Blizzard is dead. Has been a great run but at this point it is clear that their investors have claimed complete control (creative and not) and it shows. They have not kept any of their promises, it's very buggy and even lacks features that we used to have in the original game. It really looks like an half assed mobile game, it's a remaster not a remake as they claimed. Not only did theyBlizzard is dead. Not only did they release this poor excuse for a game, they releases a huge patch for warcraft 3 which removes/brakes tons of features and gamemodes. Other maps and gamemodes were banned due to copyright issues, this should not be a problem to begin with since we are talking about user made content. It wouldn't surprise me to discover that this happened due to the stake holders having business with the copyright holders referenced in that content. I would give it a 2 but at this point I'll give it a 0 for their poor treatment of their customers. If you want to do a good thing for the games industry don't support such a company… Expand

When they announced the Culling trailer on Blizzcon 2018, along with making some subtle changes to make Jaina and Sylvanas and maybe some other characters a little bit more prominent, I was beyond delighted.

    Instead we got almost the same cutscenes as 18 years ago. Granted, some ARE improved like    It's a disaster. For me the campaign is absolute master piece and cornerstone od Warcraft. When they announced the Culling trailer on Blizzcon 2018, along with making some subtle changes to make Jaina and Sylvanas and maybe some other characters a little bit more prominent, I was beyond delighted.

    Instead we got almost the same cutscenes as 18 years ago. Granted, some ARE improved like the Arthas claiming Frostmourne, but most are not, and even those a little bit improved fell short of what was promised. For me, the Culling style (from the trailer) would have been like a whole New experience. What we get is just the same with better graphics, a few cosmetic changes to disguise the fact that they had done almost nothing, and a ton od Bugs and stripped features.

    The only way forward I can see is for Blizzard to urgently remedy all the technical problems, restore features, AND make the cutscenes that were promised. I don't care if it takes a month, two or half a Year but they MUST be done. Blizzard has the audacity to still advertise the game with Culling trailer from Blizzcon 2018 at this very moment.

    I mean they can stil salvage the situation, but it requires them to step forward, admit they screwed this up and actually deliver what was promised and made people buy this game in the first place. Of course fixing all the technical problems goes without saying.    … Expand

    Thank you Blizzard for not turning Warcraft 3 into a cinematic movie. Enjoying the updated graphics and glad to see the original content fully intact and running smoothly. Great job.

    to mess with one of the most legendary games of all time, and claim the newest update is a "Remaster" is a horrendous insult to true remasters, such as RE3, which is a critically acclaimed game who's remaster did it's original game justice.

    I hate blizzard for taking away the original game and dropping all forms of support for it. I didn't log onto Warcraft 3 for 8 months and lost all of my friend list. Now i waited for reforged and they showed their true colors again, they proved that they didn't care about their fans and player base. I can not express my disappointment and disgust enough shame on them for tarnishing all ofI hate blizzard for taking away the original game and dropping all forms of support for it.     The new trend of releasing unfinished games... Blizzard has been fully consumed by activision. This game is unfinished laggy and not optimised. You cant create custom maps bc all custom maps are property of blizz.

    I payed 30 euros for reskined warcraft 3 and cannot even play campaign thanks to bug that makes me loose instantly. Game feels like and probably is a cheap cash grab. The UI stayed the same so no Quality of life features for you and for what i have seen the cutscenes stayed exactly the same! It really shouldn't be named reforged because it's just a lie.

    I wanted to get the game that much and bought it direct after i saw the trailer. This was the last time Blizzard disapointet me.

    The level that was set as a new low has changed 3 times in a short 3 years. EA being notorious for such things. A huge shock from Bethezda. Now, just like the bs of DRM and disposable game disks. Blizzard has set out a broken, glass advertised legal document .

    Wow , didn't expect Blizzard can break their own game, having plenty of time on their hands to deliver. I mean it`s not even a new product. How can the best gaming company fall so low. I think they shouldn't go by that name anymore. For a few Years now they do nothing but disappoint.

    This game is so bad it broke the original game. Even if you don't want any of the changes Reforged brought, too bad, they have ruined the original game. Even if you did not purchase Reforged, Blizzard has forcibly changed your original WC3 copy. Hundreds of posts/articles/videos chronicle all the changes so I won't list them. Terrible game that is so bad it even ruined the original. IThis game is so bad it broke the original game.     You cant even call it a remaster, its in fact a demaster. I cant even play warcraft 3 classic since its bounded with the "remastered version". There goes my childhood memories.

    Only that in the case of Warcraft 3: "Refunded", they did not run out of source material, because they literally created the original game. The reason WHY I bought this was, because I hoped for upgraded graphics ingame as well as new cinematics and a better UI etc.

    Blizzard already let me down HARD with Diablo 3 and the matchmaking in Heroes of the storm is a disaster. No wonder there is no more support because most players are not masochists that like the torture of grinding through weeks or months of gaming to get to the rank they should actually be playing in.
    Hearthstone is honestly the only decent game worth playing right now, SC2 can be played for custom maps like desert strike at best unless you are a die-hard fan And when they announced reforged, I thought the fans would get an UPGRADED WC3 experience.

    Instead they only upgraded their greed by a factor of 10 by basically claiming the rights to custom maps so other studios or devs could not make a game like DOTA (which came from a wc3 custom map).

    Graphics are not what was promised
    Performance is terrible
    Campain has bugs (e.g. you load the campaing and get INSTA-lose when the loading screen is done and can't do anything about it)
    User Interface is garbage
    And I honestly just tested it for 2-3 hours so far. I am sure if I stuck to playing it more, my list of flaws would be way way longer.
    I do not expect this from a multi-billion dollar company that had several YEARS of development time for the game.

    I have seen solo indy developers that can do more alone in their mom's basement, than the development team of this company did with their staff in all those years.

    I guess they are all just paid for drinking coffee and playing hacky sack because CLEARLY there is no such thing as a QA department.

    Well who knows, maybe it was optimized for playing on phones.

The campaign is on the must play list for every gamer wanting to experience the gems of this media and custom games have a lot of wacky and unique user created game modes.     Good job Blizzard for this poorly optimized game in general...Apart from custom games that don’t work,the game gets spike lags on my PC that meets the requirements by far more than needed... -.- 40€ for the deluxe edition wasted...Useless company...I want the old Blizzard back!Where is it?!

    You can’t even see what the actual players look like under the reforged graphics.

    When you switch the view to classic the graphics are worse than the original 15 years ago.

    The game is absolutely a **** None of the promises that Blizzard has made, came true. The graphics looks bad, like some random mmo game from Google Store. What’s the most terrible part is that they realized an update for the original W3 that completely destroyed it. They had removed the old soundtrack and voice acting and replaced imthem with the new ones...

To then be bogged down by a hasty Beta release with only multiplayer as the game game option, really changed the look from there. And now look where we are Bugs coming out left, right and centre in all aspects of the game, can only say the lunch was a disappointment to be sure.… Expand

    Blizzard has stolen opportunity to install classic client and to enjoy stable, beautiful version of warcraft 3. New client is too buggy and unoptimised. I also dislike new sprites of grass and models with strabismus. There is no classic atmosphere in game anymore. Everything looks cheap.

    - Menu lags.
    - Menu looks ugly on 21:9 monitors
    - FPS is 1/5 of the classic mode.
    - Visual style is just not right. Every individual model is good, but it's extremely hard to distinguish unit during big fights. And overall graphics style is just ugly.
    - Campaign was not updated. OK, It's understandable that people may want old story unchanged. What is not understandable, why Blizzard didn't change every single cinematic like they did for Blizzcon demo.
    - Bugs are everywhere. Game crashes, lags, issues with connection to custom games.
    - Classic mode, the last hope, looks just worse than 18 years ago. Literally, they made graphics worse.
    - ROC campaign is gone. Now it's just TFT balance.

    A complete disappointment.
    The only thing the blizzard can do with this game is to call this release "public beta" and deliver real "Reforge". In 2021.    … Expand

    Utter disappointment - not even the graphics need mentioning. Not that it's bad but the expectations were high, it just feels as a rip-off for the amount of money I paid for.

    This is not what we were promised. They messed up almost everything they could have except for the first cinematic which really is an upgrade. The rest of the cinematics are just upscaled, you can clearly see artifacts and they simply don't fit. The game itself looks better, yes, but there are slowdowns even on a very powerful rig, it just won't stay at 60fps, that I limited it to, which is disappointing to say the least. The beautiful, animated campaign screens are also gone as is the new interface they'd shown us. In all honesty, I don't understand what they were thinking showing off those beautiful visuals, cinematics, cutscenes, interface and then just dialing it back to just slightly better textures.

    I'm really sad about all this and I hope they'll redeem themselves and fix everything.    … Expand

    Absolute disaster. Bugs, crashes, terrible UI and login & connectivity issues. Would definitely not recommend until these issues are patched.

    Yet another Blizzard's miscarriage.
    This game has been released from beta too early. In my opinion, it is fault of brain-dead managers from Activision Blizzard, who are responsible for this project and who just wanted to grab cash from W3 fans.
    Which is more, the classic versions are gone.
    Also, f**k neutral critics reviews. Should have destroyed this game with a solid 0 - 30 metascore.

OK Blizzard, if you are not gonna refund us at least make the game playable, whenever I try to join custom games it just kick me, and now we are 4 days after the release and still have this issue, I only played 7 games 3 of them got crashed mid game. I was happy when they announce the remake of the game but at the same time I had bad feeling as it felt like blizzard is trying to make up their losses and get more money, but then I said to myself, it's WC3 it's already great and they will have a whole year to prepare it, I was wrong.… Expand

    I am so disappointed. So very disappointed. It breaks my heart to give once a beloved game this score but enough is enough. Fu blizz, fu activision. I am done. I’m canceling my wow sub and cutting every ties. D4 looks ok but I will not preorder or buy it until I am 100% convinced it is not a rushed piece of **** or full of micro transactions. Fu for making me do this.

    After 17 years of playing wc3 it has never been in such a bad state not even during the late 2010's before the remaster was announced and the custom map community was in decline as many of its users grew up and could no longer play as much as they used to. The reforged has some good traits however flashy visuals do no come close to making up for what was lost.

    There is no reason to purchase since it only provides some new menu UI which's nobody care, and new models which you can actually modding by yourself years ago.

    No new campaign, cinematic, cutscene... even the cutscene we already seen on blizzcon 2018 is not included.

    And lastly, they also ruined the classic warcraft 3, so if you want to go back and have some old warcraft 3, meh, good luck.

    Absolutely disgusting "reforge" component. Also forbidden to play classic WC3 unless choose "old graphics", but this is not a classic game - this is buggy brew. All what they have to do - just dedicate servers to Bnet, not like old and odd p2p.

    It's hard not to rate this above a 0, they are still advertising the game using blizzcon footage which isnt even in the game, also the game runs so bad and I've had so many crashes that I've given up, got a refund and tried out aoe-de and so happy I did, honestly it sucks too see what's happened to blizz but at least they gave me a refund...

    Warcraft 3 was my favorite game as a kid. This remake just feels like a money grab. Even worse I found out Blizzard was using false advertising to sell the game. As Uther would say, what happened to you Blizzard?

    Game is very buggy, character animations move in 30fps and for someone with a high rez monitor with 144hz refresh rate or higher that hurts the eye, custom games are now owned by blizzard? Yea, you can see why it's a 0

    This project feels like an attempt by those at blizzard who wanted to keep the original Warcraft 3 support going on Battle.net. The only way to do that was to release an updated version to make a little more money. The investors didn't want to spend any money on it, so it was developed by the cheapest bidder and as you would expect with a decision like that corners were cut everywhere.

    The game shouldnt charged us for a purely remodeled game at full price while RIPPING away the original. Denying the original owners of WC3 from the classic WC3 does not gives the users a choice.

    False advertising of games, game modes being scrapped to skeleton, no ladder mode, even a 17 yr old game classic WC3 has lesser bug / crashes than what had been made here.
    They have created the buggy situation intentionally. If they just changed the model, the game shouldnt have crashes as they just changed the model files.
    But no, they removed core elements in the game on an ALREADY ESTABLISHED game which I stressed again, 17 year old game that has already been polished. That is why the game is broken now.
    This is on par on fallout 76 . Using a older game platform by just change models and create bugs for users.

    I cannot stress again, do not preorder any games at this age. Even Diablo 4

    I really looked forward to an actual reforged warcraft 3 experience, but instead we get a rushed remastered experience that in most cases just feels like a downgrade. I dont even want to start about the lies used to lure us into thinking this was going to be epic.

    If you came to the game to hate it, then you came to the wrong place, go to DotA. But if you came to enjoy lore of WoW and classic real-time strategy, then you have come where you need it. The game meets the expectations of those who do not overestimate them.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
