    False advertisment! Expropriation of intellectual property of the own community. Owners of WarCraft III Original must download significantly more data than before, without benefitting from it.. Features from the original game have been missing on release and propably still are. Debatable artstyle. Plenty of bug reports. Blizzard has lost it's tracks.

    Graphics: Subpar for a 2020 AAA release. Masked over old engine
    Storyline: Same cutscene modeling used, so no work needed here by them
    UI: Cluttered, makes no sense intuitively (completely scrapped the original concept)
    Polish: Laughable - bugs galore even after giving the game an extra month to bake

    I think i was one of the few people that didn't refund the game after it came out mainly because i spent thousands of hours playing custom games on the classic game. I thought that i'll give them a chance to implement missing features and fix existing issues.

    Now almost half a year later the game is basically in the same garbage state that it was when the game was released, in 6 months    I think i was one of the few people that didn't refund the game after it came out mainly because i spent thousands of hours playing custom games on the classic game.     Now almost half a year later the game is basically in the same garbage state that it was when the game was released, in 6 months the game got 1 patch and 1 small hotfix.
    Since i play custom games almost exclusively i'll not really talk about the classic game mode aside from the fact that they still haven't added the promised cutscenes.

    Getting to custom games, in terms of the general game they completely removed the "Chat support" setttings which some custom maps f.e. maps that require korean inputs require to make adjustments.

    Custom games are still desyncing on a 1 out of 3 games basis features, like the clan system are still missing and most custom maps that worked under 1.28 & 1.29 don't work at all, most people that i played with either moved to a cracked version/private servers like GameRanger M16 or similar services or quit playing at all.

    I have played Warcraft III for as long as I can remember. This absolute disgrace of a disaster not only is the worst remake of a game ever it also broke the original. I preordered the game and can't describe how much I regret doing so. This was Blizzards chance to show that they still had it in them. Apparently they didn't.

    + singleplayer is here (after 1 month delay and another 3 months waiting time) The bad: It made the game unplayable since there are glitches, fps drops, tons of crashes, tons of missing features including: - no internet 60 seconds cooldown that allows a game to not end instantly when there is 1-60 seconds total of internet slowdown. - no improvments to cut scenes    The good:

    - no tournament revival despite promisses that they will return the ladder fights to its former glory.
    - no ladder stats, arranged team is forced into random team, forced seperation by server despite the potential of low ping, which would have been the better way to choose random pairing rather than selected server.
    - no chat commends, no chat timeout.
    - 06/2022 = still no clans support, sound-only crash occures a lot, playing the game is no longer fun when your audio can crash at every moment, making the rest of the game soundless, this happens a lot.    … Expand

This is so **** up, so Blizzard didnt deliver anything good or even compareble to the old game, no they even closed the servers to a very popular and loved game.. they f*cked up the new game and the old one too. I do not need to repeat every single broken promise which has been documented thousands of times by other enthusiasts. I will just share my personal experience with "Reforged".

    I only own the classic version and today was the first time I tried to play it since the Reforged release. My game was forcefully updated to the Reforge version and now consumes 26.5GB of disk space as compared to 1.3 GB before. When I launched Warcraft 3 I was met by a closed gate and a message saying "Error There was an error in handling the request." I clicked on OK and the game continued to show the closed gate for a while until it crashed. So I tried launching it again and the same problem occured. I am now unable to play Warcraft III Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, games which I purchased at least 15 years ago.

    My verdict of Warcraft III Reforged is that it was an incredibly sloppy job done to one of the greatest games in history. Personally, I'd like to call Reforge an attempted scam and cash grab. A 30 GB malware which renders your previously purchased and perfectly working game unplayable.    … Expand

    5 meses han pasado y aún no hay cambios, no funciona bien el multijugador, no hay perfiles, clanes, etc. Ademas está mal optimizado y sinceramente los gráficos no dejan mucho que desear, las texturas del terreno eran mucho más naturales y creíbles en Warcraft de hace 20 añosnque ahora.

The only thing that is new are graphics but those make the game buggy, it looks weird and you can not really tell who is who in the fight unlike in original when you can tell what unit is who on first glance.     Horrible game. Have played blizzard games for many years, and this is the worst. Quests are much too easy and not even challenging. Random game play is way too hard. Random battles kill hero's while on easiest mode, enemies hero's grow stronger and overwhelm my hero. I have won all quests but rarely win random game on easiest mode. Little help on game play and quests don't help. IHorrible game. Have played blizzard games for many years, and this is the worst. Quests are much too easy and not even challenging.     This is the absolute betrayal of fans, who just expected a polished, graphical updated version of their favourite game. Instead, Blizzard shat all over its legacy and managed to ruin the last pillar of RTS gaming. How can you fail an already perfect game which just needed a small graphic update? And of course, because Blizzard is STILL salty about losing out on all that cash when they refused to buy DotA, all custom games anyone makes no automatically belong to Blizzard.… Expand

    Biggest deception in my gaming life. This was made by people that don’t care about the original and absolutely did not understand what made the original so good. Even worse, they replaced the original game with reforged. As such they destroyed a 20 year old classic game that was still unmatched in its genre and to which there is no alternative.

    I registered on the website just so I can down vote this crappy joke of a game. I ended up waiting 1 year for it to be patched to enjoy the campaign (2 player custom coop) just to find out that they played around with the difficulty on the campaign maps and changed significantly the layout on some levels (for example the culling of stratholme). Sadly it's still full of bugs, what aI registered on the website just so I can down vote this crappy joke of a game. I ended up waiting 1 year for it to be patched to enjoy the campaign (2 player custom coop) just to find out that they played around with the difficulty on the campaign maps and changed significantly the layout on some levels (for example the culling of stratholme).     If you had warcraft 3 on the launcher, you're screwed. They ruined a 17 year old game. The vanilla was one of the greatest games I'd ever played.

    after one year the game is still unjoyable, i think it is the worst remake ever done (Age of empire 2 DE, Demon souls PS5 manage to deliver an excellent remake).
    Reign of chaos was one of my favourite game, i played hundred of hours on it, and this one i still manage to not be able to play without FPS drop, lagg and other... (i can play TW W2, RDR 2 quite easily)

    This is absolute betrayal from Blizzard. They have promised a tons of things for this game and all they did is change assets - which was also done by some external company and you can tell.
    I guess the lesson from this game is: Never pre-order Blizzard game again :)

    Garbage game, doesn't deserve to bear the title of "Warcraft 3."     Still waiting for ranked game in one and a half year, the worst remake ever by far, ruining the game and leaving it. The game was better before reforged i can tell you that, i love this game so much and they ruined the last part of it.
    Thire review is one and a half year after release, it's a shame. The game is dead cuz of a remake...

    Ive waited a while for some effort to be put into this game but I think its time to write in my opinion. First I was a huge fan of Warcraft 3 both the game and expansion as well as the map creator flexibility.

    The first problem I have is the Reforged game version was delivered without the promised features and with significant problems both for the origional version and multiplayer stability despite promises that the old version would be available.

    The second issue I have is the changes in the company's approach to custom maps. Blizzard implemented rules so that they would own anything created in these maps. My opinion is this was so that they wouldnt "miss out" on the next opportunity which completely misses that they missed out on this one. if Blizzard had approached the DOTA team and said hey we want to hire you and buy your game idea for $50k i can pretty well guarantee that the team would have been all about it. Instead Blizzard now wishes it had done so missing that the opportunity was there but they couldnt see it and instead of appreciating that several highly popular game types are now available to enjoy they can only see the missed opportunity they could never have seen anyway.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
