    Well this has been a giant disappointment as most remakes/new games from big gaming companies that are now just trying to get easy money from fans and not even trying to make a proper remake or anything. i am baffled how can any company **** up a old game so much.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Blizzard is ready to be buried. I played Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness back in the days of having to use a dial up modem to play with my best friend. With and without cheats. The mighty have fallen.

    What can I say that others haven't already.

    - Lack of ANY empathy from Blizzard brass.
    - Total disregard for false advertising laws.
    - Blatantly banning people asking for a legitimate refund.
    - Breaking the old game.

    One of the worst remake ever do you had old computer who dosnt had 64 bits np you still can't play to warcraft 3 classic because spoil you had to **** download warcraft refunded who didn't work i'm **** now i can play to one of my favorite game on my main computer

    I honestly can't believe they released this. It's like they outsourced the dev to some obscure team in Malaysia or something... with no connection or oversight. Oh wait, that's actually exactly what they did. Glad they're accepting refunds, because holy ish this is bad. And i don't just mean bad, I mean probably the most ridiculous reskin they could have done. The units and portraits looksI honestly can't believe they released this.     I am so unbelievably angry. I wouldn't have minded as much if I could still play the original warcraft 3 games that i payed for. Turns out I can never play the originals again because blizzard merged reforged with the originals. Now i never have access to them again. Up yours blizzard. Also this version lacks a tremendous amount of features.

    Free speech is banned. False advertising on cinematics. More buggy than a beta. Graphics are a weird reimagining. You can tell it is an outsourced art department working for near slave wages. No ladder or tournaments, so that is a downgrade. Thanks to no ladder you will spend 15 minutes building up a base and army then players will randomly quit. And that same game initialization error that counts as a auto lose is still in the game after 18 years. They charged 30 for the game but it isn't worth 2.5 dollars for it.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. War III reforged feels like an alpha version of the 90's, but we don't have the 90's and its not supposed to be an alpha version.

    Some reasons why this game starts to be annoying after 1 day playtime:
    - This game is very sluggish, every use of menu buttons or switching to a different UI takes a while, it is not very responsive and doesn't motivate to use or to switch to often. It feels heavy, heavy to navigate, heavy to use.
    - The menu and chat functions appeal often out of place, they are not well designed, they rather look like randomly embedded, and sometimes overlap each other.
    - Also the user has to click far to much to join, to change something or to leave the game, then it was necessary originally. Having no UI for Hotkeys is also not acceptable nowadays.
    - Warcraft III reforged has gameplaywise 2 big issues, for once: the usage of bad servers, and second: the requirement of having a very good gaming PC. Therefore the performance in general is mostly sluggish up to very bad. Custom maps start to lag as soon as there are some more mobs in sight, even 17 years ago the performance was a lot better then the reforged version now; but with reforged I would have expected some improvements, especially with all those modern powerful hardware, and not some worsening. I don't think it is a good game design to require such a high gaming hardware for a game little and old as this. And when custom maps are started, the server are randomly chosen by the game, sometimes acceptable, sometime the server are not even from the same continent with terrible ping and performance for everyone.
    -I tried a Dota map, and it was the most awful experience I ever had with a Dota map.

    My summery:
    This game is hardly playable, sluggish, featureless (I didn't mention them above, but a lot of important things are completely missing in reforged), and most (99%) of the custom maps ever created are not working with reforged, and those which work, look worse then 17y ago and are sluggish like hell.

    This game is Not recommendable, everyone who bought the game should claim a refund, possible via Support on Blizzards Website.    … Expand

    I'm only reviewing this game because it FORCED DOWNLOADED itself WITHOUT CONSENT and removed my WC3 classic installation and play through experience. A couple days back I noticed 'WC3 Reforged' was downloading updates through the battlenet client, so I canceled and removed the 30GB ongoing install not thinking too much about it. A day later, I go to play WC3 classic, and suprise suprise,I'm only reviewing this game because it FORCED DOWNLOADED itself WITHOUT CONSENT and removed my WC3 classic installation and play through experience. A couple days back I noticed 'WC3 Reforged' was downloading updates through the battlenet client, so I canceled and removed the 30GB ongoing install not thinking too much about it.     Сделайте нормальную графику, еще на бэте было понятно, что графика хуже чем в оригинале, спасибо поиграл... Покупать еще на бэте не видел смысла, если бы графика была хотя бы на уровне, то купил бы и играл, а так даже задумываться об этом нет желания... Была надежда, что после беты что то поменяется, но лучше играть в оригинал, нежели чем в это...Сделайте нормальную графику, еще на бэте было понятно, что графика хуже чем в оригинале, спасибо поиграл... Покупать еще на бэте не видел смысла, если бы графика была хотя бы на уровне, то купил бы и играл, а так даже задумываться об этом нет желания...     They destroyed everything that meant Warcraft 3 lore and gameplay. They promised so many things and they didn't deliver not even 1% of what they promised.
    No one should buy this game and give Activision money and should wait for the game to be cracked and play it like that.

    Very disappointed. No ladders, no clan, no channel of chat, voice of units changed and no possibility of use the original... that is a game without a lot of good things that had in past. And, if you create new mods of maps... the intellectual property is for Blizzard. Bad bad bad...

    Why would I rate this game even though I didn't buy it?
    Because I did buy the original Warcraft 3, and Blizzard decided that with the release of Reforged they had the right to completely gut the classic version. Thanks Blizzard.

But holy ****, it was ridden with bugs, crashes and frustrating moments. Not only that, the game constantly freezes every couple seconds making it completely unplayable. They not only took longer to release the game, but the game they released was utter trash.This is suppose to be an amazing nostalgia trip for me, right after the disaster with WoW classic, i still gave a chance to it.     How can this game be anything other than a solid ZERO if I cannot get pass the the term of service?
    This game provided a platform for players to build things, you don't get to own the idea, imagine new Microsoft excel claim they now own all the spreadsheet and its data, ridiculous.

    Terrible game of the culture. Warcraft III before Reforge remembered all of us great story, textures and multiplayer, and the Reforge was remembered as the absolute opposite. Piece of ****

    40 euros wasted. DON'T buy this game, it's nowhere close to what was promised, it's full of bugs, crashes, laggy as hell. As a huge fan of Blizzard games since Warcraft II in 1996, I feel betrayed. SHAME ON YOU BLIZZARD.

    I just hope that the reason this incomplete game was published the way it is right now was because of:

    -Activison putting pressure on blizzard to release more games to make fast money
    -Some kind of major breakdown during production, causing them to start like 10 times over again
    -A hacker assault, who deleted all the Cut-scenes, Ladders, Profiles and added new AGB to the game (pretty unlikely)

    Otherwise all hope is lost, because then there wont be a way blizzard is ever going to give us the quality of games back, blizzard was used to be known. Even Activision has to accept that the current way with all the **** breaking down on blizzard is probably not the right way to go, but i guess before they realize blizzard and all its games have to die out and thats probably the best thing that could happen. I and all of you blizzard fans out there would do best if you boycott their games to force them to break down, free themselves and probably reincarnate one day. That is just me dreaming. If they would be gone, its still better than everything they sell us right now.

    Yeah, I needed just 1 to ask for redound. I got disconnected twice, at one moment my unit were not taking any action. And the menu, oh my God the menu move horrible. Even the map in loading screen is like a photo with 0.1 megapixel camera.
    So so bad. They should take it out and come back next year with something that works.

    Am asteptat jocul degeaba :( I got this game to relive my childhood and bring back many amazing, nostalgic, funny, heroic, fun memories. This is one customer that will aggressively pursue a refund, due to the pile of electronic dung that I was tricked into getting. Good riddance blizzard.

    Here comes release, i get day off at work and start playing campain and realise that ive got cheated.
    campaign not working old client dissapeard and also my D: drive with it. all my 4tb data lost...
    now im crying from disappointment. and who will gona get my all data back?
    and to play with old licence key i must still download 30 gigs for what? its not cross play how you promised. its 1 game with grapichs options....
    look at microsoft how they make remasters with AOE and AOM!
    what a shame for blizzard.

It seems that when Red Shirt Guy at BlizzCon 2018 asked if Diablo Immortals was an out of season April Fools joke, Blizzrd panicked, pulled the entire deveopment team off of Warcraft III, and set them the task of creating Diablo IV. Thats the only reason I can think why Warcraft III is such a heap of unfinshed poop.

    This was an incredible disappointment for an old WC fan. Everything seems wrong with this game, starting from the menus. The worst thing is that I can't use an old client.

    Long time fan here, 10k hours ++ in orignal warcraft 3. The game is absolutely broken.. 60% of your public games won't even start when you que up. And if it by any miracle starts you are prone to disconnect or game crash. Yesterday i just exited the game after not being able to play public games and custom games because of it either crashing or disconnecting all the time.     Releasing a game that is literally calling us stupid, was the worst action from Blizzard. I asked for refund and I'm very disappointed that I don't have the game I was expecting.

    At the time they announced wc3 reforged I was quite sad that they where not announcing wc4.
    But thankfully they destroyed warcraft 3 and not warcraft 4.
    Let's hope Blizzard will learn from this, and create a great wc4.

    The menu is glitchy the sounds and other things that were promissed are not there no cutscenes no UI the one from the beta. It is horrible!

    Retroactively ruining great games in blatant cash grabs? Sounds like the next big thing in AAA video game companies. Reforged itself being bad is sad enough, but the fact that it actually goes out of its way to impose its flaws on the original game is truly disgusting. Let's hope this fiasco teaches Blizzard that they can't release bug-ridden, flawed games and get away with it.

    Huge disappointment because of lack of single-player mode. Having no cheat codes is OK. But in Reforged I can't even save my games! This is very important when I'm playing a long custom map. Also without single-player mode I can only pause games for 3 times, and I can't use the "restart mission" button to restart a map quickly. What are Blizzard people thinking?

    Blizzard somehow managed to make a poorer performing, laggier, and technically worse product than 17 years ago. It's truly despicable. I didn't even get tricked into buying the retexture pack and i still have to suffer the same as those who did.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
