  1. This is a ludicrous amount of excellent fun to get for free, and in that price bracket, it automatically gains an extra point on the Out-Of-Ten-o-Meter.
  2. A fantastic step up from the basic Nations released a couple of years back.

It takes a bit to adjust to be able to drive in this game professionally. There is also a single player if you don't have internet or want to be alone. Tip: After a while, to make yourself better, start being a perfectionist about your races. Expand

I'm not a big fan of racing games until now..the game is free and just so much fun, especially multiplayer online. It takes me back to I'm not a big fan of racing games until now..the game is free and just so much fun, especially multiplayer online. It takes me back to the original Wipeout on Playstation and reminds me of the insane tracks of Stunt Car Racer on Amiga but it's all up to date for 2008. It's highly competitive,While relatively basic, this game is extremely fun to play, and has a lot more depth than is immediately clear. It's highly competitive, especially at the highest level, and has an extremely dedicated community. The physics engine is deterministic, which makes room for a lot of creativity in map editing - for example, it allows for "press forward" maps, where the player can simply press forward while the track takes them through a (typically) impressive sequence of jumps, loops, and other stunts. Since it's free, I would say it's inexcusable not to download this game if you enjoy racing games, particularly if you're focused on achieving the perfect driving line through the tracks, since that is the main focus of TMNF.
