    The devs from Massive are a bunch of morons who ruin the game. They created bugs and punish players for using them, what a joke. The reason we used glitches is that in-game balance is terrible and the drop rate is low as hell.     The funniest thing is that two hackers I know get no punishment at all, and Widdz, a YouTuber, also gets away after using the shooting range glitch.

    They destroyed their game on TU8/Warlords of New York Update. They completely change the game by heavily nerfing player(making my exotic build sucks by removing most of the talent) and buffing an AI (one shot you, unlimited weapon range, super god healing station). I just left the game when I see my Nemesis became trash. Sorry Massive this the end for you. Not gonna comeback anytime soon.

    The game is a tragedy in the making. That is because every patch released introduces new bugs and unbalances. There is now a gear set that allows player to kill another player while shooting at an AI....
    How broken is that as a pvp mode? That set truly takes away any shade of skills needed for pvp.

    The development team is constantly banking on player-base's hope that "one day maybe they will get around and fix it". This is aided by the weekly state of the game where the mantra is, "we are aware of the issues pointed out, and we are working on it".: while nothing is actually been done about said issues.
    Content, patches and bug fixes are rushed out and not effective. It took 4 attempts to try and fix a DPS bug that did result in thousands of bans, and yet that bug is still in the game.

    So beautiful but unplayable without frustration for now because of bugs. Collision bugs, skills bugs, servers bugs, fire damage one shots you. Poison one shots you. Invisible NPC's one shots you. shotguners snipes you from 200m range. Grenades spam and one shots you. Ennemies skill spam and one shots you. It looks like not finished. As a beta.

    As much as the universe is pretty immersive and fun/entertaining to see, the game is littered with bugs, and frustration, and it has been since the very beginning (13 months in). Unless you enjoy inbalanced games, clunky skills, poorly designed PvP experiences, and no incentive to do anything at all, stay away from this one.

    Update after update, Ubisoft and Massive continue to take one step forward and three steps back. The number of broken promises is unable to be counted at this point. Coming from someone who has been with the Division since the earliest releases of Division 1, it is sad to see. I do not think I will be continuing with the Division, which is tough to say.     There's very little positive to say about Warlords of New York. The rehashed New York environments are decent, and the story is your typical Tom Clancy affair. You're not here looking for a great story, and you're not going to get it. You're looking for third person cover shooting and magic treasure guns. Unfortunately, the entire system behind equipment and itemization was gutted and replaced as of Warlords' release- even in the base game without purchasing the expansion.

    There's very little interesting character building left, and the most exciting pieces of exotic gear have been stripped to the bone and in some cases had their use cases completely altered. Two examples:
    - The Diamondback Rifle had an interlinked series of perks where nearby enemies would be highlighted, and your next shot against them would produce a guaranteed critical hit. Chaining five of these hits would disable the targeting system and grant unlimited crits and +50% reload speed for a short time. Reloading would generate a temporary armor shield. This gave it a unique playstyle where you would actively hunt specific targets with the extra mobility afforded by the shield, and then have moments of payoff where you could put out incredible damage and resist retaliation by putting up your shield even faster with the reload bonus. The Diamondback now only has the first portion of the ability- a random nearby target is highlighted for a critical, and that's it.
    - The Dodge City Gunslinger's Holster granted a suite of weapon handling buffs to your unlimited-ammo sidearm and quintupled its effective range. It also granted your sidearm over-penetrating rounds, reloaded your weapons when you drew your sidearm, and gave you a weapon damage buff when you landed a headshot kill with your sidearm. This made it attractive to a number of builds where you could use it to minimize reload times, maintain an additional damage multiplier, or just increase the efficiency of the usually-weak pistols if you were interested in using them heavily (such as with the riot shield skill). Now, it charges bonus damage for your next sidearm shot while your sidearm is holstered. It went from a pistol focused, weapon juggling item to a weak back-pocket damage burst that incentivizes you to use your pistol as little as possible.

    Skill mods no longer do anything useful- where they'd once cut cooldowns by half or increase the maximum target threshold of abilities, they're now confined to single digit percentage bumps to output that aren't worth the mental overhead of picking them up. Skills themselves also have enormously flawed base values- the striker assault drone is a great example, dealing such pitiful base damage that it takes roughly 30 seconds to deal the damage of a single semiautomatic rifle shot at base power, and a mere 10 with a completely maxed out set of skill damage and tier bonuses.

    Not only are the systems of Warlords of New York a woefully broken disaster, its coming retroactively removed the game that existed before it. You can't go back to playing The Division 2 without it, even if you never purchase the expansion. It's literally worse than having no release or content.    … Expand

    It's a decent looter shooter, very generic story and repetitive missions (suppose that's expected from Ubi). But the gun-play/combat is where it's at; the various abilities to use are a lot of fun and the variety of weapons makes it worth a buy (When it's on sale). There's also quite a lot of bugs, albeit not game-breaking, they are still there. Imo not worth it at the full price.

    I played this game and the first installment of the franchise. Be warned these games are buggy messes full of exploits. Whole parts of the game are near unplayable due to continued cheating an exploitation.

Players that uses exploit for SHD levels (target practice) - which directly benefits players permanently, are noted as "not an exploit" therefor people not banned. Absolutely terrible move by devs. You shouldnt ban a large amount of your playerbase in a PVE game for glitch that you allowed in game and failed to patch.     Devs dont play their own game, maybe they've tried it once 1 year ago on story mode. Cant balance PVE, cant balance PvP, cant fix anything - bugs, glitches, etc. Banning ppl (but not streamers) without warn for bug use for DPS or XP - and its STILL there, devs CANT FIX their game, simply CANT.

    If you played the Division 1 then to say this game is an sequel basically tells you all you need to know. Honestly if you like looter shooters then you'll generally like this game. I picked it up when Ubisoft decided to have the Ultimate edition on sale for $12. That was a heck of a deal and worth every cent as far as value. While I ultimately don't greatly enjoy the combat for a long termIf you played the Division 1 then to say this game is an sequel basically tells you all you need to know. That was a heck of a deal and worth every cent as far as value. While I ultimately don't greatly enjoy the combat for a long term game to play it was alright to romp around D.C. That being said let's get to the meat of the issue:

    The god awful plot, characters, and setting. The Division 1 setup a failed city and an attempt by the government to restore order to a city ruined by a pandemic. In this setting the Divisions attempts to clear out the gangs and restore New York City makes sense from a plot perspective as there's every incentive for the U.S. Government to reclaim the city. However the Division 2 is very different in that the pandemic has spread across the world and decimated the human population.

    This is the first failure of the Division 2. The plot has you a random Division agent head to D.C. to attempt to restore the government. The ultimate problem with this plot ties directly into the games setting. The pandemic decimates the human population, at that level of death there's really no more communal identity. Most survivors will have branched off to create their own communities that will be resistant to any "outsiders" due to necessity.

    This would've made a great plot point. Assuming the government still existed and wanted to "restore" the United States it'd have to do so using the standard methods available to government. These are by force, coercion, or subsidization. Since the government has nothing to subsidize with (currency is pointless in such a scenario) it would have to result to coercion or force. Which inevitably make it look like a bad guy.

    Honestly the bland, unimaginative characters don't help this game much either. I stopped playing weeks ago and I can't remember a single characters name. That tells you how poorly written these characters are.

    Finally the problems with the setting. One of the big points to the game is helping the scattered communities with supplies. But here's the problem with such a plot. With the exception of perishable goods, the world would be a land of plenty. Especially in the United States, you could go to any empty house or store and have clothes and electronic goods for days. The game also ignores one major factor every apocalyptic game forgets which is Bicycles. Sure, maybe there's not gas but that doesn't mean you can't pedal to your destination.

    Finally, the game misses the most engaging plot/setting element such a game should be using to it's maximum potential. The loss of our life of luxury. After helping one community you start hearing a page over the intercom system talking about "vegetarian" options being added back to the menu. Food would be the most precious resource next to clean drinkable water and the life of luxury we've live would quickly fall apart as people would either starve or have to give up their vegetarian lifestyles to survive. Yet the developers seem to prioritize identity politics and fantasy rather then engaging critics on our modern lifestyle.

    At the end of the day the Division 2 is a decent game but it's plot and poorly handled post game leaves it as a short term fling compared to it's competition (Destiny, Diablo etc.)    … Expand

    Extremely poor game. Fully of bugs that the developers know about, but are slow to fix, if at all. No real endgame or meaningful loot progression. By now they have begun to punish the playerbase and ban players who use the many glitches, to at least get a little entertainment out of this mess, as if the poor coding was their fault. I'm done with Ubi and Massive.

    The co-op, especially the Dark Zone, is enjoyable with friends. This turns around and slaps you in the face by making the game scale to the level of the highest-leveled player instead of going the other way around, forcing you to make a completely new agent to play with any friends that want to play the game with you.

    The "living world" mechanics are a revolutionary improvement from the original game and gives depth to the series' focus on urban warfare by having plenty of things for you to deal with, including Control Points and Liberation projects. The downside of this is actually a feature: Invasions. I don't know why but I've had problems with Invasion missions and strongholds so often that it can't possibly be a problem on my end. The standard variants work flawlessly, group or not, but I haven't been able to run a single Invasion variant mission in a single attempt because something always breaks, most often a door.    … Expand

    You go into the arena for hours shoot and again, and again, and again, and again.
    Then you open a crate or using a notebook, and going a trap.
    After 40 hours, a normal person gets tired.

    Besides that, every mission looks the same, go to point B, kill everyone, then kill the boss, then call reinforcements and hold it for X time. Rinse and repeat. Even Wildlands had a better way to make the game more interesting and the map was HUGE.

    Can't Jump... Like... really? I'ts that hard to program or model jumping animations? Hey look, if i can jump from here i don't have to walk outside the base. Hurray for invisible walls, why even bother modeling a world that can't really be explored. Take an example from Dying Light, big map and can move around how you want freely.    … Expand

    This is an another side mission game with no content. Only thing you do is capturing objective, securing hostages etc... Pvp isn't perfect but okay. Despite the game was worthless the atmosphere is awesome. If you are a co-op lover kind of player, you might have fun while playing this game.

    New DLC without PTS. Now we play beta for which we paid $ 35. In the DLC the servers do not cope and the developers did not find anything better than turning players into meat for mobs with excessive damage, health and accuracy. The special squad is not competitive with enemy mobs. The number of bugs and errors in the game rolls over. In general, a score of 6 points is surprising

    Because of-course Ubisoft have you sign a ToS where by playing the game you resign your right to refund it.

    Patches get released which neither fix the previous problems or manages to break the game even more. With the recently Delta-3 or whatever it's called.

    Probably there is no strong storyline. But there are some important things why I play this game almost every evening. I love its gameplay, love how every weapon and surrounding world sounds and looks, I love an atmosphere and how everything is feeling. You would love it.

    Really beautiful visual and audio design. Good variety of items, builds and enemies. Before the expansion and a big update with it, the game was very easy and was quickly getting a bit boring due to that, but the expansion fixed things right up - now it has a proper challenge.

    Very much recommended especially for co-op!

    Bought the game 5 days ago. Interrupted by 1 server reboot and 3 server maintenance downtimes EACH of which lasts 3 hours. No offline mode.

    It's a good loot shooter when you're allowed to play it.

My biggest issue with the AI is how they talked up that it was going to be so good, and then it ended up being the worst I've ever seen in a game. I like this game. I do not follow the story much.     With the experience accumulated on The Division 1, Massive manages with TD2 to excite our curiosity. Stronger, more generous, better built, the title succeeds where other games as service before it has struggled to. Thanks to its end-game, which renew the experience by adding content and skillfully recycles the existing one, but also thanks to this map of Washington, absolutely fantastic, which allows more than ever to immerse yourself in the universe of the agents of the Division.
