Its like Division 1 on MAX and without marketing lies. Solid and interesting looter-shooter with good optimisation. And i liked OST a lot. Action music reminds me DOOM sometimes. 10-times better than Anthem.

The game is an absolute blast. It's clear that the developers took everything they learned from the first game and crafted something that's highly engaging.
There's an enormous amount of replayability and so much content. I had high expectations for this game and somehow it's even better than I'd imagined. Highly recommended for fans of looter shooters :).

The content of the game is quite sufficient. The visuals look amazing. Seeing free DLCs makes me happy. Improved game dynamics made very well. BUT for me, a small number of cosmetic items is a minus. The game has performance issues. AS A RESULT The Division 2 will surely satisfy the players who loved the first game.

Great game, hours of fun. Game has its buggy moments but dont they all. The matching and social menus could use some help. All games have glitches and bugs. This game has them, like the damm invisible rock that just makes me stop and I have to go around.
The graphics look good but are very hard on your system, trade off on this one.

This is a more refined version of the prequel. The game is incredibly immersive and beautiful to look at. The game does have a few bugs but nothing that will break the game. You'll get the best experience playing with friends as well!

This game built on and improved everything from the first installment. The division 2 is what a looter shooter should be, and this game proves that it learned from its mistakes and became better. Forget Anthem, THIS is where it is at! Great job Ubi!

This is how a looter-shooter is done. Lots of events and activities to do all over the world.
Sure some stuff might get repetitive but that go's for every game in the loot genre.

Overal I realy liked Div1 but Div2 does improve on a lot of levels here. At its core its just the same game in a different setting but with aditional features and small tweaks where needed.

If you liked The Division 1 you will enjoy this as well.

The answer unequivocally, a solid hell yes! From the scope of the city to the almost dizzying array of weapons to be found, the whole feel of the game tells me that they learned a lot of hard lessons from the first game and brought their "A" game into the making of The Division 2. Also as others have mentioned the optimization level is amazing. I'm running it currently on a Lenovo y530 Legion laptop (Core i5 8300h, 8gbs of memory, Nvidia 1050) with nary a stutter in sight. So if you're still on the fence about this game, have no fears. It's truly worth that hard earned $60. Expand

It's smoother to play, consistently loads, doesn't over-buff enemies making them bullet sponges, and simplifies the complicated stats system that required a couple high-level statistics and probability classes to understand fully. It's basically what the first Division game should have been from the start and it was extremely imperative that Ubisoft didn't repeat history or the IP would have been lost for good. But what it doesn't do is refresh the gameplay to the point where this feels like a new and improved Division experience. Nothing feels radically better and I'm kind of bugged by that. It would have been nice for the developers to consider what steps could be taken to tighten up the gameplay a bit more and whether some new creative license could be used to make the skills system more impacting and varied. There's also the issue that i have in that the stats system seems to almost get oversimplified to the point where it's basically Division stats for dummies, vol. 1 and I don't really like that. I prefer the simpler version to the super complicated one but having the ability to deeply craft your agent's abilities and effectiveness in different ways is a big part of what makes any RPG game highly replayable and unique. Despite some of my wishes for changes or different paths for design in this game, it's largely a good game and while I don't feel excited to jump in to it like I did the first game I largely enjoy it. The biggest reason to buy this game is the lengthy campaign and deep, varied endgame content which transforms your general playable world and introduces you to tougher enemies and new specialization skills and weapons that at least offers some differences in gameplay but not in ways that radically change how you play - they're mild changes but they do have appeal and that's at least a good start. Then there's the guarantee that year 1 DLC is all free and Ubisoft has suggested that there will be 3 nice-sized expansions to Division 2 post-launch before it offers what is probably going to be a big expansion pack a-la Destiny's Forsaken, but what's nice to know is that these smaller DLC packs that are free will advance the storyline of the base game as well as introduce new missions and endgame content.

If you loved The Division's 1.8 patch then you'll love Division 2 which essentially takes everything that Ubisoft learned from the first game and applies that knowledge to the second game. If Ubisoft plays their cards right then Division 2 should have a longer shelf life, giving players 2-3 years of meaningful content to play post-launch and that would be a huge win in an era where nothing is truly free and DLCs are more of an afterthought or gimmick than an essential extension of good core games.

Been following the development of the game as much as the devs have been willing to share. At first, it looked like it was going to be a refined version of the first game to be able to sell the good quality product they had achieved after 3 years of content patches, but in reality, what we got was much better.

This sequel is a rework from the ground up of the play experience, core mechanics and gameplay.

In terms of the play experience there's a much bigger variety of possible and interesting things to do, specially in the endgame. In the campaign, since the main missions were designed with endgame in mind they're really varied, which makes the campaign experience fluid and not repetitive, a thing that's also helped by the fact that secondary missions are as close as they can get to main missions, unique scenery and gameplay all around. This game secondary missions feel more main-y than other games' main missions.

Landscape and scenery wise I expected Washington to be a dull place for a game, but it turns out it was not. It's really varied which is essential to keep you engaged and feel like you're mixing things up and it's also filled up to the brim with stuff to pick up and discover. And god, is it beautiful as well.

In terms of mechanics, skills have improved a ton since the first title. Even though some of them still lack identity (new pulse, maybe firefly?) the rest feel awesome and make a real impact on-use. The gunplay is HELL OF A LOT better this time around, as is the sound in general and the music and gunshots in particular.

I'm giving this game a 10, but we don't really know yet if it'll be a 10-game. It'll all depend on the content patches and how frequent and hefty they are. The base they got to work with is infinetely times better than what they got with TD1, and they got it to work back there, I hope they're exploit the hell out of this masterpiece of a release build.

If I had to pinpoint anything negative, I still don't like the solo experience in the Dark Zones, since even though there's supposed to be a system in place that would try to match you versus other solo players, it doesn't seem to work all that well and it can be annoying to be in a DZ with a a couple of 4 man groups in it, you feel like you're forced to PVE.

Anyhow, just buy this game, it's insane and you won't regret it!

As for gameplay I’m not a fan of cover based shooters but overall shooting mechanics feel satisfying. And progression system gives an opportunity to adjust your build to your preferences. Speaking about “bullet sponge” concerns of a big number of players , I didn’t notice it much during early access as common “red bar” enemies may be killed sometimes in number of two for one clip of my gold ak-m.

Also need to mention that in pvp some guns had been balanced since beta which is good news.

As for cons of the game, for a new player it may seem complicated at first as the number of player stats are dumped at you without much explanation how it is better to manage them, but after some time it becomes more understandable.

Looks like microtransactions are just cosmetics (as for now) that maybe earned at random through finding them in missions and open world, and also through loot boxes, that are also earned for leveling/completing certain objectives.

Overall, Division 2 is a refreshing game after recent fails of some looter-shooter and open-world games that I will not name.

Remembering the launch of TD1, it had a lot of lag issues and errors like the delta 3 and bugs, but this game shows that they have learned from the past and they have outdone themselves.
    Pros:
-Story is great so far, I really liked the TD1 for this, and in TD2 is done perfectly, continuing the story and checking on data from the past.
-AI is challenging at some points (Like in the Dark Zone), they always try to flank you, not the best way they can, but it doesn't feel boring engaging in combat.
-Types of enemies, we have a LOT more enemy classes than before and that's a great addition.
-Collecting items and doing events doesn't feel like a chore, it's always cool to walk around and help some people.
-The feel that everything is alive, the people that helps you, that are roaming and enemies that appear out of nowhere.
-You need to be tactical, plan your way through, set your skills and then engage. You can go straight to a fight, but you probably will die. Stay in cover and check your surroundings.
-The loot, is everywhere, weapons, armor, mods, skill upgrades, and clothing.
-Micro-transactions are done right, you can get keys to open boxes just by playing, and you only get emotes, clothes or skin modifiers for weapons and I believe for skills too. Perfectly done, not invasive or game changing.

    Cons:
Minor bugs (With skills) that already were patched.

A must play if you are into the Shooter-looter games.

I have however, very few quarrels with this looter-shooter. The loot from bags and suitcases seems a bit silly (a crayon, a pencil etc.). I mean...a suitcase would normally contain more clothes and a bag would perhaps contain a bit more than a single crayon. This however is not enough to drag down the score. But the fact that enemies are still quite bullet-spongy is reason enough for me not to give it a max score. Overall an excellent looter-shooter with tons of interesting content. Well played Ubisoft. The style and the setting may not be for everyone and that should be noted as many of the other reviews may tell you. This as a TACTICAL and COVER shooter, and you should enter it only as such. If that is not your cup of tea you are not goin to enjoy the game. This is what I consider a difficult game as well, so keep that in mind.

Now from there on I can say this is what the division 1 should have been, a good looter shooter finally at launch, the endgame will need some tweaks but I can honestly say I enjoy it and the systems in place are very rewarding. If like cover shootes and looters, this is definitely a MUST.

Solid looter shooter, prefer this to Destiny (which itself is still a decent game). Only looter shooter I can think of better than this is Borderlands 2. My only gripe with this game is story, for a Tom Clancy franchise I would hope for a better immersion on the story, it's better then the last one for sure, but its not up to par either.

If you like the "looter shooter" genre of games ie: Destiny, Borderlands, Anthem etc then this is the game for you. There are so many positives.

    - Runs very very well on the PC with all the settings maxed I have a really smooth and beautiful experience (and I don't even have a top of the line pc)
    - Summon the loot is very present in this game, not only is there more than enough loot than you can ask for but the loot you get is meaningful where there are hard choices that you will need to make, even at low levels.
    - The enemy AI is very good and there are some seriously good encounters where the enemy make really good, solid, tactical decisions and will make you react and play more skillfully to get past a mission or enemy.
    - There is so much to do in this game, and this is just at launch, let alone what they have planned for the end-game and the devs built this game with "end-game first" mentality, but even before you get to the end-game there is so damn much to do, it's great
    - The missions are very well developed and are very different from each other and will (at least for me) make you very tense in certain situations and you actually feel a sense of achievement getting through them
    - The world feels very good and real and hand crafted. So much to see and do just exploring (I have spent many an hour just walking around discovering stuff).

All in all and very good and polished game, which can not be said for some games that come out these days. Definitely recommend to buy!

A great game that is as big and complex as you want to make it! Do the campaign only if you want, do the end game if you want, do pvp if you want, but even for the campaign it's worth the $60. Would be 10/10 had it not been for the randomizied cosmetic loot boxes and the small weird bugs like enemies teleporting.

I expected a lot from The Division 2 and the game delivers.

+ Awesome gunplay. Shooting, movement and skills are snappy and fluid. + Better enemy AI than TD1, more interesting fights, less bullet-sponginess. + The game is more challenging. You can die easily when you don't take care and it's great. Cover and positioning are very important. + Extremely varied and interesting mission

+ Extremely varied and interesting mission locations.
    + A metric **** ton of content.
    + Good loot and progression.
+ Very good graphics for the most part.
+ Great audio (gun sounds, music).
+ The story is a bit better than in TD1, but you still shouldn't expect too much. A lot of the immersion comes from interaction with the world rather than the story.

    - The item system is crap. It takes way too much time to sort items, especially mods. Skill mods are completely useless as items and could have been implemented in a dozen better ways.
    - Some of the UI needs work.
    - There's little incentive to free roam coop, because you only get XP for stuff you haven't done already.
    - Protagonist still can't talk. Hurts the immersion quite a bit.
    - Character creator could be improved: More hair and beard options. Sort colors properly. And don't use the term "body type" instead of "gender".
    - Frequent crashes with DirectX 12 renderer on some CPUs.

Verdict: I got exactly what I wanted - more of the same as TD1 with improvements in the right places.

But i'm happy to say that aside from a few bugs, Division 2 comes out of the gate with an interesting location, somewhat interesting characters and plot, with improved shooting mechanics, AI, and more common sense things like spongy enemies being covered in destructible armor pieces. As opposed to the spongy enemies with no visible added protection in the original game.

There is plenty to do, something the original also lacked out of the gate. Tons of side objectives, loads of loot! So much loot! Loot everywhere! It feels like the Pier update in Division 1. Or... you know, Diablo lol. The loot drops are THAT plentiful yes. It's great! Once again, a stark contrast to the original upon launch in that regard.

Graphically it's just as impressive as the original game. I always loved the lighting in Division, and i always personally felt like Massive got the atmosphere 100% perfect. In this game, i feel it suffers slightly by not having snow, simply because the snow looked so, sooooooo very good. Especially in Survival mode. Nothing like it in any game to date. I'm a softy for snow, and when you can see the wind carrying it in different directions, brushing over the tops of cars, mailboxes and buildings... it's just something an original Division fan is going to miss probably.

That having been said, this is a nice change of pace, and the weather effects in this game are nice. Just not as impressive as a blizzard in the middle of NYC as you're dying of syphilis, trying desperately to escape the cold. There was something special about that formula... i miss it. But it by no means makes Division 2 an inferior game. Everything else is enhanced 3 fold!

But significantly in terms of the amount of content available right out of the box. There is an extraordinarily large amount things do you, stronghold, missions, pvp, dark zone, bounties, capture points, and other smaller world map tasks such as supply drop captures, broadcast captures, hostage rescue etc. And those actually get improved later on in end game when you reach world tier 4 where those individually have different difficulty rating that climb the more they're completed, offering better and better rewards.
The gun play is just as fun as the original, the loot system certainly feels satisfying and for an online game I've not had a single connection issue so far with the game. I also really enjoy the new specialisations where you can choose between survivor, marksman and demolition. Each one gives you a set of individual talents for that specialisation and you get a signature weapon. Demolition gets a grenade launcher. Survivor gets a crossbow with explosive bolts. Marksman gets a high powered sniper rifle. And you can swap between them by visiting the base of operations whenever you want.

Some of my minor complaints are probably down to smaller things, for example I don't like loot boxes (That's just a personal opinion and it can be a controversial topic).
The UI can be a little confusing when you first game into the game but you get used to it fairly quickly, but it still has a few minor annoyances, like I wish I had the option to make selectable areas on the map have their large icons at all times so it was easier to find specific locations I want to set a waypoint on.
I've had a few bugs for example there was a gun where several skills would just disappear instantly and you would get a cooldown timer on the ability (However this has now been fixed). But I also noticed other bugs such as sometimes when I try and swap to my signature weapon it simply instantly switches back to the weapon I had equipped already. And by far the most annoying bug seems to be specifically centered around the District Union Arena stronghold as I haven't spotted it anywhere else but twice in this exact place. Sometimes one of the enemies seems to not leave a spawn room and then the door closes with them inside making it annoying to kill them and maybe impossible on some occasions as you can't reopen the door but you can't progress through the stronghold until you kill all enemies in the area. I've been lucky and been able to glitch fire through the wall several times to kill them but I imagine it's going to be impossible in some situations, and it means you have to restart the entire stronghold if you can't kill that one enemy.

Overall however, I've been having an absolute blast with this game, enjoying it far more than I did the previous game, and right out of the box as well without having to wait for content updates.

I don't think the story is particularly solid, there's not much narrative in it unlike the first game. We seem to ave done a swap, game mechanics for story. I have also found occasionally my agent has to run so far to get places, the safe houses are not ideally positioned in some cases.

You can make a great game without a microtransaction progression system. but for real though the div 2 has much life in D.C with various side quests that are interesting. Multiple different guns and armor and an easier system to understand the build of your character. The game feels polished with some startup bugs but can be patched. This game is what anthem should have been . A true looter shooter . Not as good as borderlands but the runner up for sure! 10/10!!!! Expand

Game is great. Really shows Anthem what a looter shooter is. Great level design, great content, hours and hours of playtime. Excellent job listening to feedback Massive, i hope they dont listen to content creators on youtube and ruin the game. They know nothing and are the biggest cancers in the industry.

As a huge fan of the first title I cannot express just how absolutely blown away I am with it's sequel. Ubisoft Massive deserve to be so proud of this title. They have released the most feature complete looter-shooter ever at launch, and they have managed to do so in one of the most detailed, meticulously crafted open world environments I've ever had the fortune to explore.

    Great

Great gameplay, phenomenal graphics, an abundance of exciting activities and a well defined roadmap for the future mean anyone remotely interested in this genre should look long and hard at The Division 2, as it now reigns as the King of the looter-shooter domain.

For a fan of shooter looter style this is a top title. The name "TOM CLANCY" it is so far my top games, like Wildlands and Rainbow 6 seige and now this Division 2. I never played the division 1 so maybe that's why I can't compare both. So far loving D2 and the imerssion that this game brings to us.

    10/10 - storymode 10/10 - Skills/perks 10/10 - Performance on middle specs PC. Can't

Wow - Just wow. (About 60 hours played so far.) Everything is done so well in this game: game play, strategy, loot, crafting, missions, content, graphics, challenges, clans (guilds), bounties, cosmetics, endgame, PvE, PvP, and enemy AI. And that's all at Release! Ubisoft & Massive have created something truly special here - I haven't become bored and all my other games are idling.

Of special note is the strategy. You must use cover - there's no tanking here. You need to play smart. You need to be constantly aware of your enemy's positions, enemy strengths & weakness, when to advance and when to retreat, and your own health and armor. As you face higher level enemies, they have better and better AI. Expect to die a lot in the first 8 to 10 hours of game play as you learn the cover system, how to move from cover to cover, and how to deal with the enemy strategies.

    Highly recommended!

Big game, many fun encounters, the world feels alive, factions can fight each other.
It has launched 6 days ago, for me as an early access player, the devs have done three updates already .
It's a game worth sinking time into.

This is how sequels should be. It feels as a step forward, is better than the first game in every way. Perfect reward system, very tactile gunplay and great visuals make Division 2 the best loot shooter on the market, and one of the best co-op games in the recent years. [Issue#237, p.36]

For all the deafening noise and fury of its street battles and set-pieces, The Division 2 is, at heart, a game of co-operative tidying up with incrementally better guns.

With the experience accumulated on The Division 1, Massive manages with TD2 to excite our curiosity. Stronger, more generous, better built, the title succeeds where other games as service before it has struggled to. Thanks to its end-game, which renew the experience by adding content and skillfully recycles the existing one, but also thanks to this map of Washington, absolutely fantastic, which allows more than ever to immerse yourself in the universe of the agents of the Division.
