Great controls, terrific and iconic soundtrack, gorgeous devilish atmosphere, intense gunfights, notable bosses. The plethora of levels is varied, maps can be gigantic, there are numerous secret and hidden places to find, the story is highly original, you have many and many items and improvements to search and find, you are able to modulate the difficulty. The level design is exemplary. Sound effects are okay. There are many different opponents with varied patterns and weaknesses. The game benefits from a long lifespan. The few puzzles there are are challenging and rewarding. The minimap is very useful and intuitive. The coop system is amazing. The graphics are more than decent and contribute to make "The Ultimate Doom" very fun to play despite the years that separate us from its creation. Clearly an 'easy to play - hard to master' type of game. Definitely a must-play !… Expand

   The ultimate Doom es uno de los shooters que revoluciono la industria que estaba en decadencia, sin duda estamos hablando de uno de los mejores videojuegos de PC por aquellos años de los 90s, totalmente desafiante con una ambientacion muy aterradora, nosotros somos un soldado del ejercito Estadounidense que estaba en una estacion espacial de repente cientos de demonios logran pasar a la realidad desde el infierno y masacran a todo el personal solo quedas tu y tu arma con una musica de Heavy Metal debemos infundir miedo a los demonios y masacrarlos para abrirnos camino y volver a casa sanos y salvos... graficos de 10 para su tiempo contando con escenarios en 3d, los enemigos son dificiles y tendremos variedad de armas para luchar contra ellos, el juego mientras avanzamos nos requerira ciertas llaves para algunas puertas normalmente son 3 colores, rojo, azul y amarillo las cuales estan repartidas por cada nivel.. algunos enemigos dejan municion como otros no.. y tambien tendremos ventajas contra ellos debido a que hay items que permiten hacernos invisible como inmortales por un par de segundos dandonos muchisima ventaja frente a los demonios.. el juego cuenta con 4 episodios muy buenos llenos de pasadizos secretos y enemigos para descargar nuestra municion.… Expand

   I didn't expect this game to age well, but nearly 3 decades later, I'm still finding this game fun to play in my 30s. You will need to control the space around you and optimize your approach, manage ammunition, and mainly rely on skill and reflex. The goal of each level is to find the exit, which is easier said than done since the game puts you in a maze like labyrinth. The solution comes down to headbutting every wall until you find the exit. It is impossible to make sense of the levels on a first play through and because the visuals are so ancient, it makes it that much harder to figure out where you are supposed to be on the map. Truth be told Doom is and OK game, it is not completely good and it is not completely bad either. Not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination.… Expand
