Dec 9, 2021Please stop making the DLCs, focus on sim5 with an open world. Make a game worth the price please EA.

Feb 12, 2022Решили не выпускать дополнение потому что в России есть законы против ЛГБТ но я то живу в Украине и у нас не запрещено. Разработчики называют Россией все СНГ страны.

Sep 2, 2014The only reason anyone would ever pay for The Sims 4: DLC Quest is if you feel EA hasn't been making quite enough money lately, and you want to reward them for stripping down Sims 3 to its bare essentials with nary an upgrade to be seen anywhere.

Oct 23, 2014It's really good, y'know, if we were in some kind of alternate dimension where we were all enslaved by flesh eating robots. But we aren't, and it isn't.

Sep 6, 2014I've played the Sims since the original and have always bought the latest games, But EA have seriously messed up with this one. There's far too many features missing. Features that even the original game had! The only good thing is being able to build a pool.... Oh wait....

Oct 25, 2014This game is very revealing to the husk of a great studio that Maxis used to be. Why not just make it into a simulation at this point? why even bother having user input? why did you idiots sell yourself to EA? Goodbye, you zombified corpse of a once great studio you.
-
Sep 6, 2014These 'critics' have clearly been paid off. The game is not worth £20 let alone the £50-60 it is going for. Don't let them get away with it. Save your money. They're now going to try charge you the Earth for DLC - DLC that should have been in the base game.
-
Sep 9, 2014So after ripping customers off with tons of Sims 3 DLC and expansions, the thieves at EA decide to wipe the slate clean and release a bare bones Sims 4, designed for the sole purpose of robbing customers again. EA is nothing but criminals, plus this game is terrible.
-
Sep 7, 2014EA paid metacritic official reviews to vote them with high score, but I will not do that,
this game is exactly Sims 3 with a few new features, so... suks too much.
And then we'll see 20 o 30 dlcs of this game with an expensive price... why EA? Sims 1 and 2 were great! -

Sep 6, 2014EA are absolute disgraces. Do not buy an EA game, do everything you can to make sure they don't get your hard earned money. Sims 4, yet another unfinished game they've released with the whole purpose of people purchasing DLC.

Nov 4, 2014If you like to throw your money on Premium smelly garbage, then this game is for you. However, In order to appreciate the full Aroma of Garbage, you have to buy all DLCs and expansions to spice it up.

Sep 3, 2014Massive Step backwards. Terrible graphics, no open world, more loading screens. Just awful. Only the Sims community would put up with less than half a game with the excuse being it will be fixed in paid DLC. Getting a refund.
-
Sep 18, 2014Wow, let me buy a skimped version of The Sims by paying more money for less content in favor of future DLC that will supposedly restore all the missing features and improvements because it's the fourth installment, therefore it should be better. Said no one ever.
-
Sep 7, 2014EA.. you did terrible. Not surprised though knowing you've won the worst company of the year award for 3 or 4 years in a row, but you really did destroy this game.

May 22, 2019I did't like it. I couldn't create myself in CAS. Easy in sims 2 and 3, impossible in 4. I feel like I only have negative things to say about it so i'll just move on.... Sims 5 needs to be innovative and different.
-
Oct 17, 2014YAY! A NEW GAME!

Oh! 20 "new" 'Expansion Packs': Here EA your 10000€!
I think it was worth it.

Sep 22, 2014Not buying this game on sheer principle. It maybe very good, but leaving out pools, toddlers and customization options just paves the way for EA to exploit money from people by releasing the features at a trickle slow speed in DLC. But then I guess that just adds to the list of franchises that EA has poisoned.
-
Sep 3, 2014Hey, way to go EA!! You would think after the whole Sim City disaster ,you might learn something. No, not the case, let's just give them a new game in a beloved franchise with even less features than the last installment. Ah, good plan !
-

Sep 2, 2014Sims 4 looks like a demo version of Sims 3...waste of my money and time...
We waiting to much time for this game! And what we have now? It's not "fair play", EA.
Another fail after piece of lag - BF4 (looks like DLC for BF3). -
Sep 5, 2014Game have a very very bad graphics in 2014 year, same as The Sims 3 which was published in 2009! Significantly less content than in the third. Origin permanently low total game score.

Sep 28, 2014The Sims = Damn good. The Sims 2 = Amazingness, pure **** awesomness. The Sims 3 = Eh, alright. The Sims 4 = Garbage. Can't believe it took them this long to make this piece of crap. Avoid buying this and buy the Sims 2 instead.
-
Sep 5, 2014This game is incomplete without DLC ... it's a shame!
EA only cares about the money that they will earn from these DLC's!
The only thing that I liked was the create a Sim. -

Sep 2, 2014Like so many of us, I have enjoyed all of The Sims games over the last decade. This new one is a big disappointment for me. I would have rather spent my money on a Sims 3 expansion pack I don't yet own. I will be sticking to the Sims 3 for a long time until I see a full game release.

Sep 2, 2014This entire game is a huge disappointment. No sandbox, no sim careers, and the graphics are not better than sims 3's. I wasted 50 $ on this, luckily I can get a refund 24h from purchase.
-
Sep 2, 2014this game is asswipe and the only good thing about this overpriced game is create-a-sim and build mode, and i cant believe ea is paying people to score this unfinished product a 10,that's sad like wow really?? I want another company to take Sims, because EA doesn't deserve it (imo)

Sep 2, 2014Played several hours, lost interest fairly quickly. I found a lot of things empty or underwhelming. And though I realize it's still only the vanilla game, I'm not so forgiving after paying $60. Meh...I've requested my refund, I just can't justify funneling money into DLCs to make the game more enjoyable like I did with The Sims 2 and 3.
-
Sep 2, 2014Should've been named "The Sims 1 HD". Such an embarrassingly obvious disappointment from Maxis. Instead of moving forward, they took 4 steps back. Still can't believe all that time waiting was for this garbage.
-
Sep 2, 2014If you like Sims 1 you may like Sims 4. If you love Sims 2 or 3 you will hate this version. It seems EA is going backwards rather than creating something better.
-
Sep 3, 2014
-
Sep 3, 2014This game is lacking so many basic functions from its successors that I'm not even sure whether it's worthy of carrying the Sims name. It's clear that this game was intentionally gutted to then require copious amounts of DLC to fill it out and make it the playable, functional game it should've been from the beginning. This company has no respect for its consumers. Don't waste your time or money.

Sep 3, 2014This game gets boring really quickly, and a ton of features were removed. Just another sign of EA's greed.
Forgot to mention about the obnoxious graphics.

Sep 3, 2014Horrible I have been a fan since the beginning. This feels like a re-skinned version of a very old unfinished game. No pools,Dishwashers, cant edit the ground, basements, no cars, worlds are way way smaller maybe 10 to 15 lots if that. Seems like they went backwards here. Only other thing i can for see is if they release everything in paid dlc!

Sep 3, 2014Let me start off by saying I loved Sims 3 and I was very excited for this game. I played the Create a Sim Demo and I liked the new creation mechanics.
Now that I've covered the only good parts of the game...let's move on to the negatives. -
Sep 3, 2014trash. i am disapointment . oh boy create-a-Sim is a disappointment compared to previous games. There's no color wheel and there aren't even many colors
-
Sep 3, 2014Thankfully I had not created expectations about TS4, and here it is the worst Sim game ever, even stuff pack do it better. EA ruins everything, I miss Maxis days.

Sep 3, 2014Don't buy this.
I know there will not be child and pools, but the game is not cut in that only. The map is 4 houses, 1 bar, 1 gym, 1 restaurant and 1 library, and you cannot create more plots. There is not graveyard. You cannot create your own style. There is not story progression.
A full dissapointment. -

Sep 3, 2014Nice graphics but what a waste of my money, I have bought the game, I'm not just giving it a negative review for no reason, it's lacking, majorly. I might as well go buy another copy of The Sims 2.
-
Sep 3, 2014What did I just spend $60 bucks on? This game is worth maybe $20 at most. Everyone is saying, don't expect so much out of the base game. That's BS, I'm pretty sure all of the other base games came with more than this. Return it now or regret it later!
-
Sep 3, 2014Everything keeps breaking but I there's no repair man! I have spend all of my time fixing sinks and toilets and showers. This game is missing so much, but I'm mostly just pissed about the darn repair man.

Jul 23, 2020While an enjoyable title that has been polished up and seems generally very modern, it cannot be expected that The Sims 4 is not going to be compared to The Sims 3. In this respect, it seems that while the game took a few steps forwards, it also took a few steps backwards by abandoning features that were very helpful and appreciated in the previous versions. It does have new features that people have been waiting for, such as emotions and more personality for the Sims. As for now, for some players it may not quite be worth to abandon The Sims 3 for it, but for new players looking for a first experience with the franchise, they may have an easier time navigating than former The Sims 3 players. People that have previously enjoyed the latter may be disappointed by the menus (Sim creation, building, or navigating town), as they have been so massively oversimplified that they are now actually confusing.

CD-ActionOct 24, 2014The Sims 4 is just a foundation of a game. How would you react if you bought a new Elder Scrolls game and realized that half of the cities are unavailable (because TES6: World Adventures is around the corner), there are only 4 weapons (TES6: Accessories), you can’t ride horses (TES6: Pets), there are only 12 quests (TES6: Careers), 2 guilds (TES6: Friends) and 3 spells (TES6: Supernatural)? [Nov 2014, p.50]
