The Sims 4 Journey to Batuu Game Pack was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I can’t wait to see The First Order quests. This was exactly what the franchise needed. I’ve enjoyed most of the expansions, with Realm of Magic game pack being my favorite. Journey to Batuu blew that one out of the water and has zipped to the number one spot. As someone who loves Disney World, Star Wars, and The Sims, this was a welcome surprise. Who wouldn’t want to play with their favorite things in one of their favorite games?

The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu is an excellent addition to The Sims 4 and is absolutely worth the cost of entry if you find yourself in the middle of the venn diagram of fandoms for both Star Wars and The Sims 4. With three different faction questlines and multiple areas to explore, there’s plenty of story-based content to play through. But if faction quests aren’t your thing, Batuu is still an excellently designed world that is bursting with things to do and places to explore. There’s also a tonne of decor styles and clothing that you can use to give your Sim’s life a little Star Wars flavour. While you may not be able to build a treehouse for a family of Ewoks, Journey to Batuu has enough Star Wars-themed goodness that a little imagination and creativity can get you excitingly close.

The Sims 4: Journey To Batuu may just be another room in the virtual dollhouse that is The Sims but it absolutely nails everything that makes Galaxy’s Edge one of the most unique theme park attractions today.

The Sims 4 Star Wars: A Trip to Batuu proves to be a great Game Pack for The Sims 4, a fun themed holiday that offers fans of the franchise a pleasant break in the company of Jedi, Sith and first-rate smugglers. Do or do not. There is no try!

The world of Batuu is very polished, the environments are detailed, and there’s a story to play through, but there are also some issues that mar the experienced. You can’t edit lots without using codes, some missions are bugged (I couldn’t finish the evil storyline because of that!), and once you reach the pinnacle of your career, there’s not much left to do beside side missions. What's worse is that this comes on the heels of the Sims team being under fire from fans for not having adequate dark skintones even 6 years after release, and after John Boyega was interviewed detailing the racism within the production of the sequel SW trilogy and how he was pushed out of the leading male role. And what did the Sims do after this? They released a pack that advertised the characters from the sequel trilogy... but only the white ones, Rey & Kylo!

Now we have a collab between 2 franchises famous for giving the middle finger towards black fans, that really only serves to give the white girls their fave Star Wars angry space-Nazi boyfriend as a Sim to add to their families. Not only that but in true Sims 4 fashion, it is completely devoid of deeper-than-surface-level gameplay and only provides some set dressing, some build objects, and new clothes just like every other damn pack in the Sims 4.

The only positive is that it seems that the fanbase is really starting to realize that enough is enough with this garbage treatment from the dev team, it's insulting, and we deserve better from the life simulation genre.

Biggest disappointment for the Sims franchise. I wouldn’t even add this to my collection if it was free, to avoid my Sims wearing the horribleBiggest disappointment for the Sims franchise. I wouldn’t even add this to my collection if it was free, to avoid my Sims wearing the horrible alien masks. I love the Sims. I love Star Wars. I hate this Pack. The devs have limited knowledge about Star Wars and for a poor job showing it. Case and Point: the Sim in the picture holding Anakin’s lightsaber, has the light coming from the bottom of the saber. It’s upside down!

The “professional” reviews dare to rate this on average of 7-8/10??? Based on what? Great games get these ratings. This was a money grabbing release with zero replayability one you’re done. Majority of Simmers do not care about Star Wars and the devs completely refuse to fix what’s wrong with the Sims 4.

Do not buy this. Show them you do not approve of this trash.

This was one of the least requested DLCs in their Surveys, meaning they knew exactly what we wanted, and decided to disregard us and spit on us. There were so MANY options you could go with.

Stay away from this "DLC", it will teach them a good lesson; that such shady tactics don't work with the playerbase.
