Oct 5, 2020First and foremost intended for fans of the Star Wars saga, The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu is a very decent game pack, which offers a solid experience, if not really interesting over time.

Sep 28, 2020The Sims 4 Journey to Batuu is a great addition to the library, but it’s reaching a point where I’d like to see how far Maxis can push the Sims concept with a new iteration.

Sep 16, 2020If you expect an actual Star Wars experience from Journey to Batuu, you will be left disappointed. It is more like visiting Disneyland or a theme park: sure, you are surrounded by Star Wars aesthetics but ultimately all of this is just a stage for a small fun holiday for your Sim, complete with activities, outfits and presents. After the vacation is over, you will return to everyday life with next to no Star Wars vibes.

Sep 14, 2020While the planet of Batuu is visually pleasing, I found myself getting bored after the first few hours. Journey to Batuu can be a little a hit and miss depending on what kind of Sims fan you are. It’s a fun experience for the first bit, but if you’re someone who focuses’ more on builds than completing missions, this may not be the right pack for you. For Star Wars fans, I’m sure you would have a much better appreciation for this DLC pack than I did as it’ll likely scratch that tiny itch you may have for more Star Wars content.

Sep 8, 2020The real setbacks for me are the repetitive missions, inability to have more than one mission active at a time, confusing aspects of some missions (with not enough guidance), and a shallow storyline that could use more work. I loved the faction immersion, RPG elements, and the ability to have my own droid companion that would help my Sim during missions.

Sep 8, 2020The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu presents is the ninth game pack, taking us to a galactic world, a stellar destination to rest and have fun. Which side of the Force will you be on?
-
Sep 8, 2020Whatever you think of Journey To Batuu, it's the very first pack that you can truly just skip over if it isn't your thing. Batuu is entirely separate and you can only edit Oga's Cantina and the First Order supply building as well as the Resistance bunker and a small part of the camp outside. The build items are useful, but fit a very specific aesthetic many people may not like and the clothing options are the same. If you choose to pass on this one, you truly won't be missing out in terms of the wider game, which is a huge plus for a pack that's so unique and specific.
-
Sep 15, 2020The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu delivers one of the most vibrant and memorable worlds yet, but is let down by a weak narrative, dull missions, and a self-contained experience that fails to play to the franchise's strengths.
