Nov 21, 2019It's basically a Fallout game dashed with some Mass Effect flair. It's real decent. Must check for sure, but not necessarily a must have.

Nov 21, 20194/10 Very very overly hyped, extremely mediocre game. I'm glad i got this for free and didn't have to pay 60e only to get super disappointed. I would suggest you wait until you get it for 10-15e on some discount later on.

Nov 18, 2019I think the game is good and fun to play but that's about it nothing really special or new for me. It doesn't introduce anything new/original but it uses a good formula and uses in a new context which is the space colonization. Although nothing new in terms of the gameplay or storytelling i quite like the world/universe building and actually would consider to play new games in the same universe.

Nov 18, 2019I love Fallout 1, 2, New Vegas, and The Outer Worlds!
Good story. Fun dialogue. Fun combat. Interesting skills and perks. Amazing art and music....
It would be excellent if there are Traditional Chinese, 3rd person POV to switch, and more more content. ( More stories, more quests, maybe DLCs, or The Outer Worlds 2 ) -

Nov 16, 2019a wonderful game and slap to the face to Bethesda.it has a great and colorful world with many things to do. but stroy-line was linear and a bit short and the story is not that great.I hope Obsidian up their game in the next one.

Nov 16, 2019I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It's a great mix of Fallout and Firefly. Could have used a little bit more development time to really flesh out some side-story content. I did pretty much everything in about 20 hours. Still, a good start. I'd love to see Microsoft really get behind it with money so Obsidian can take it to the next level.

Nov 15, 2019Favorite Thing: It's a solid Fallout-like that doesn't overstay its welcome.
Least Favorite Thing: The game is a cake walk on normal. And that 100% crash near the end.
Date Completed: 2019-11-15
Playtime: 19h
Enjoyment: 8/10
Recommendation: Definitely. -
Nov 15, 2019You can't beat an Obsidian experience. Such attention to storytelling and choice is rarely seen in the games of instant gratification nowadays.

Nov 14, 2019I played this on the xbox game pass for PC, and I'm glad I didn't outright buy this game for full price.

Nov 14, 2019Game is basically a clone of FONV but worse. There's no 3rd person view/ every female seems to be a lesbian or something like that.
-
Nov 14, 2019The writing is mostly great, and different ways in which some of the missions can be completed is clever and refreshing. The combat is decent, and the world is interesting enough, but after a while the game feels a bit one-note with the themes and gameplay.

Nov 16, 2020The problem with this isn't that it is a bad game (far from it), but the fact that it failed to reach its true potential… or maybe the expectations were simply too high, because there's nothing here that anyone can point to and say that it is terrible. Sadly, there's almost nothing that's great either, apart from the role-playing element and the quality of writing. The gunplay? Ok. The exploration? Decent. The plot? Fine. The dominant feeling here is of a game that is good enough so that you won't hate it, but also not as good for it to be the flawless classic that it could definitely be - but again, that's probably those darn high expectations speaking, because flaws or no flaws, The Outer Worlds shouldn't be missing from any RPG collection.

Dec 9, 2019An excellent effort from Obsidian, and though The Outer Worlds doesn’t surpass its predecessors by offering a world worth visiting over and over, the adventure it presents is more than worth the time spent.

Game World Navigator MagazineDec 6, 2019Usually, a planet has just one or two settlements and a bit of wildlands to explore. But that’s for the best – instead of exploring miles of filler content, Outer Worlds keeps you moving from planet to planet, from one tense situation to another. [Issue#241, p.34]
