Nov 22, 2020This was a great stand in waiting for something from Bethesda or CD. Had a lot of fun but I also really enjoyed New Vegas so it depends on the person.

Nov 12, 2020Impressive game by Obsidian after marvelous Fallout: New Vegas.
Colorful world, interesting storyline, many good quests and perfect dialogue system.
Not best graphics in 2020, but still good for not AAA project. -

Oct 30, 2020I've tried playing this game 3 time, and every time I loss my save data, and online fixes don't help, plus campions spill their life story in every conversation, its just weird and unnatural.

Oct 29, 2020Pretty good game overall, good writing, good fighting, act. It does everything pretty good, though the scale of the games maps and what not are quite small, but this game is still really good. I know I said good a lot, but that's what this game is, good. Average, moderate, good.

Oct 29, 2020Buggy garbage. I played the first 4 hours without realizing there was a bug that made the saves fail silently. Lost all my progress. The game had already been out for a year and they hadn't bothered patching this game-breaking bug!
I've been a gamer for over 30 years and have over 1000 games. I've never been so disappointed by such trash.
2* because the start was fun. -
Oct 29, 2020RPG must have an interesting plot, characters, variability and desirable an interesting gameplay - The Outer Worlds not about that. Plus lags.
If The Outer Worlds 2 will be, so Obsidian a lot of work to make from The Outer Worlds - a true rpg.
Many gamers want alternative for Mass Effect, but not this time.
1/10 for trying make space rpg. -

Sep 21, 2020The game has its problems but overall its an rpg that is well worth playing through, certainly not a fallout killer though!

Oct 31, 2019Fun game, funny characters and a nice scifi world to explore. This game is best enjoyed on hard mode. Really enjoying this game. Well done obsidian.

Oct 10, 2020Good game. Wish it to be a bit more hardcore without map/ui pointers on every single action/quest. Also a bit buggy still. However, great game, worth playing and buying.

Oct 7, 2020If you are a fan of good old RPSs, it's your choice. I spend 30 hours in and enjoying it rly bad.
As we sad: "It's not the best choice - It's Spacer's Choice!". -
Oct 3, 2020Bad graphics and really bad optimized game. Have a RTX 3080 and its no change after upgrade from 2070. Not recommend this game at all.

Oct 2, 2020I really wanted to LOVE this game, but somehow it just doesn't capture me to keep going. It's mostly fine! Which maybe is the real issue? It feels way too easy, light on the roleplaying, and while combat can be somewhat satisfying, the weapon diversity isn't enough to keep me coming back. Some of the locales are fun, but they haven't been enough to keep me engaged in the experience.

Sep 29, 2020Marred by some lazy design, a boring story, and a bland setting this RPG falls short from greatness.

Sep 28, 2020Incredibly disappointed even on though I got it on sale. The mechanics and abilities are shallow, the dialogue and story is boring and cliche - there is a distinct lack of "soul" to this game. Didn't even finish it, couldn't be bothered. Save your money.

Nov 16, 2020The problem with this isn't that it is a bad game (far from it), but the fact that it failed to reach its true potential… or maybe the expectations were simply too high, because there's nothing here that anyone can point to and say that it is terrible. Sadly, there's almost nothing that's great either, apart from the role-playing element and the quality of writing. The gunplay? Ok. The exploration? Decent. The plot? Fine. The dominant feeling here is of a game that is good enough so that you won't hate it, but also not as good for it to be the flawless classic that it could definitely be - but again, that's probably those darn high expectations speaking, because flaws or no flaws, The Outer Worlds shouldn't be missing from any RPG collection.

Dec 9, 2019An excellent effort from Obsidian, and though The Outer Worlds doesn’t surpass its predecessors by offering a world worth visiting over and over, the adventure it presents is more than worth the time spent.

Game World Navigator MagazineDec 6, 2019Usually, a planet has just one or two settlements and a bit of wildlands to explore. But that’s for the best – instead of exploring miles of filler content, Outer Worlds keeps you moving from planet to planet, from one tense situation to another. [Issue#241, p.34]
