Dec 5, 2018If considered as a whole, the Council is a decent graphic adventure, created starting from some interesting ideas. The negative element, though, remains the graphics.
-
Dec 11, 2018Quotation forthcoming.

Jan 2, 2019While The Council's meager finale is indicative of its inability to meet the lofty expectations it set for itself early on, there's still a lot to like for fans of the genre. Your acceptance and enjoyment of the story's twists and shoddy lore will determine just how much you like it, though.

Dec 11, 2018The gameplay of the last episode is disappointing, but The Council is still a great game as a whole.
-
Dec 6, 2018This final chapter of The Council shines in its art design and provides a great way to take sides in the final intrigue. Unfortunately, the ending is expeditive and a bit disappointing. Moreover, the game still having some problems with animations, lips sync and framerate.
-
Dec 3, 2018In many ways, it's not Checkmate's fault that it's not that enjoyable. The blame certainly goes to the previous chapters of The Council, which failed in being engrossing enough for anyone to care for what happens next. That being said, this doesn't get a free pass, as it doesn't fix any of its problems.
-
Jul 21, 2019If you wanted any real form of closure, it's not happening here. I was honestly shocked when the game ended. Not because of some amazing revelation that blew my mind, but just because The Council simply... ends. This is easily the shortest episode, yet it still feels like it drags at times. Now that is what I call an accomplishment.
