Dec 26, 2020Disappointed, this dosent go anywhere near as good as the first game. I went into it blind just thinking it was sequel to the first and it was going to be great but when I got met with an auto runner it disappointed me, and for a full 20 dollars? That's a steep price for an auto runner. Some of the level design is impossible the first time through really destroying the game.

Dec 28, 2020Destroyed expectations, different from the original, controls are annoying at first
But has varied gameplay, high replayability, still challenging, nice bosses, good level-design.
At first, I didn't like it, then I liked it very much. -
Dec 29, 2020It’s not a bad game and getting to the finish line is really satisfying. Yeah, it’s an “autorunner” but a real good autorunner.

Jan 7, 2021expected a successor to meatboy, but found this auto-runner instead.
Im a bit disappointed, for an auto-runner its just a mediocre game at best, nothing special. -
Jan 2, 2021Maybe it would have did well if they did more if they can. Good game, but it disappoints a lot because the 1st game was great.

CD-ActionJul 23, 2021The problem with the new Super Meat Boy is that it’s not the old Super Meat Boy. We have waited a decade for the sequel and it turned out to be an autorunner, which is not necessarily a welcome surprise. Two buttons is all you need, which makes CMBF very easy to grasp, but limited control over the protagonist can be maddening, especially that the game is even harder than the original. Having said that, the developers managed to squeeze a lot out of the simplified control scheme, and while I understand the game disappointed many fans, I still recommend it to those of you looking for a serious challenge. Feb 22, 2021While Super Meat Boy Forever is a good game, it really doesn’t compare to the original sense of precision movement and extreme difficulty that stuck out to the fans.

Feb 12, 2021Super Meat Boy Forever feels completely overtaken by time. The game is inferior to its predecessor in every way. The biggest problem is the fact that an autorunner like Forever leaves much less control to the player. The levels and bosses in Super Meat Boy Forever are therefore more annoying and frustrating than fun and challenging.
