    (Please note that this is the first time i enjoy an RPG game)
    (Runs GREAT on a regular PC.)
    (Did not encounter ANY Bugs after playing for 16+ Hours!) This game is great, people expect to much, on one hand this is tom's fault, on the other hand, people should just have fun and not take everything to serious, normally i find RPG games extremely boring, this game was very interesting to me    (Please note that this is the first time i enjoy an RPG game)

    Starfield is a genuine RPG, although it has transcended the boundaries of the niche, attracting players less familiar with this genre.     Great Game love the customization and the GIANT universe you get to explore the game has that Bethesda charm and I haven't seen any game breaking bugs, it's finally good to have a Fantastic Xbox Xclusive (suck it PlayStation)

    Pros: Questing is a blast very good writing top notch acting as well, they managed to make the main story interesting. Side quests....Wow better then the main questing and soooo many of them.     Base building I personally am not a fan of it I did not even like it in NoManSky but it is good not on the level of Fallout 4 but it's interesting when I want to tackle that aspect of the game.

    The game is very well optimized out of the gate and thank you for this, I am running a 5900x, 32gb 3733mhz, Sapphire Nitro + 7900 xtx. It runs 132fps and loving it on Ultra.

    Cons:

    Some of the bugs Like when you visit a certain town and have to do a mile run but the main character that announces you bugs out and does nothing. That sucks lol    … Expand

    This has become easily my favorite Bethesda game thus far. Though it has fixed many issues, it retains new issues for the series.

    Unlike previous Bethesda titles, it steps away from a world map and now divides it into instances. These instances cannot be traveled by foot and require you to move your ship (which you are anchored to). Much of the game is empty worlds with procedurally    This has become easily my favorite Bethesda game thus far. Though it has fixed many issues, it retains new issues for the series.

Much of the game is empty worlds with procedurally generated locations, though also houses plenty of hand-crafted content for the player to enjoy (more than Skyrim or Fallout 4).

    Despite the flaws, the game is a step up from previous titles. Few bugs, improved combat, an interesting story, amazing side quests, and an overall freedom Bethesda is known for. Ship combat feels good, if not a bit clunky. The base building seems complex at first glance, as well as shipbuilding. But getting past the small learning curve, you can make wonderful things.

    The game is also already getting mod support. Plenty of cool mods are being made, ones that can help run the game better, as well as mods to simply improve the quality of the game. This isn't to 'fix' the game, but to enhance it. An aspect people don't seem to understand. I can enjoy the game vanilla, but I'd rather adjust the game to my perfect liking. I'd do this for every game if I could.

    I've enjoyed the small things, the large moments, and the emotion I've felt playing this game. I think it's a perfect title despite its flaws, which I don't think should reduce the score as every game has flaws. It's only when those flaws ruin the game I would lower it. This game might not be for everyone, as it's basically a Bethesda title in space. There isn't a whole lot that is new, so if you're looking for innovation, look elsewhere. But if you simply want a Bethesda title in space, to have that classic feeling but enhanced, then this ist he game for.    … Expand

    If you are a fan of BGS games you will love this game. If you are expecting some next gen space simulation game then you will be disappointed. It really is Skyrim in space for better and worse. For me that is amazing because Skyrim is one of my favorite games of all time.

    It is true what the devs said, "the more you give, the more you get from Starfield."
    The side content is just amazing and the branching storylines feel as well written as the main quest. I love every second of it. Do not try to compare it to NMS or Elite.     It took some time for me to warm to Starfield, initially I was taken aback by the lack of depth in some features that were highlights of previous Bethesda games. But overall, I think enough new mechanics have been added to equal the scale on what was stripped back. Beyond that though? The expansiveness of the galaxy really tips things in Bethesda's favor.     It's exquisite. Deep RPG, hard hitting combat, incredible story, questing beyond anything you've ever seen, beautiful graphics. Performance at 30fps on console feels much better than expected and on pc at at 75fps-90fps frames is like butter. As typical, Bethesda has hit this    AMAZING!!     Loving the game, works great on my PC and I think it will provide many hours of fun like Fallout and Skyrim did. It's a space adventure, not meant to be a space sim as some uninformed people think.

    It throws you in the deep end of a very deep pool and does a great job of letting you play the way you want. I had over 16 hours in before even starting the main quest. The modding community are already popping off, a 9/10 for me but giving it 10 because of the review bombing gremlins.

    Brilliant game! Wasn’t sure I could have the same experience as when I put 200 hours into Skyrim but I’m 30 hours in and can’t put it down. I had purchased God of War recently which I also thought was very good but it won’t get touched now for a long time. There are a few little bugs etc but pretty sure they will get ironed out but Starfield is an immensely satisfying experience.

    Sensational game, graphics and setting are excellent, details of items in inventories and weapons. He took very good care of the ships too. It's a classic Bethesda RPG, not a game for everyone. For me it's 10 for the immersion it provides to the player!

The faction quests and side quests are so deep and detailed I might never get to the main story! I've had about 5 different jobs so far on my playthrough, I can't get over how much content is in this game.     Another common complaint I heard was "The game world is empty procedurally generated garbage". Seriously? Does this really need to be explained? For 5-6 years, any development team can physically work out a map (so that it is filled with interesting activities per square meter) approximately the size of Skyrim or Fallout 4 - this is 9-15 square kilometers, since people's time and forces are not unlimited. In Starfield, we don’t have a single map like in Skyrim or F4, but there are planets, it turns out that a conditional map of 15 square kilometers is divided into zones, these zones are separate well-designed planets, it’s easy to count them in the game, it won’t be so a lot of.
    Everything else (1000 planets) is just an entourage with procedural generation and the illusion of an infinite space, so that there is no dissonance like in the same Mass Effects, where there were conditional 4-5 planets (just the same ordinary limited locations) and that's it, nowhere else even theoretically you can't fly.
    So did anyone seriously expect the game will have 1,000 hand-crafted planets?
    Do I need to say that all these claims look absolutely stupid and childish? People came up with a dream game that no one promised them - A huge RPG with 1000 hand-crafted planets, Star Citizen, No Man's Sky and DOOM in one bottle, and when they didn't get it, they accused the developers of lying and labeled the game as a failure ... probably forgetting that only Star Citizen (in which, by the way, there is practically nothing else besides good space flights and resource collection) has been developed for 13 years and has not yet been released ... That's the essence of the absurdity - people demanded that Bethesda make a dream game in 6 years, which actually takes 5000 years to develop...
    Returning to the game itself, I can safely say that this is the most ambitious and incredible project from Bethesda, in which almost all aspects and mechanics have been improved compared to their previous games, which in turn were masterpieces and improved radically - graphics, lighting, animations, physics and facial animations - all of this has been taken to a whole new level. The style of the game, all those dashboards, computers, buttons and switches, is pure ecstasy for fans of science fiction. And this is only talking about the visual part, and in addition to this, you will also find a huge RPG game with exciting quests and many additional mechanics, such as building your own ships and outposts. This game is very meditative, unhurried, in which a huge emphasis is placed on immersion and getting aesthetic pleasure from the very stay in this world, and if you like games like RDR 2 or Death Stranding, you will definitely like Starfield, although they are different in genre games, but in spirit they are very close.
    Starfield is an amazing game, the best Bethesda game so far and yes it's not perfect, but show me the perfect game without flaws, the answer is simple, games like this just don't exist in our world.    … Expand

    Should there be more bug fix? Definitely. Should there be more optimisation? Yes. Will Mods make the game better and allow players to play in the game they want? O man, will they ever.

    So for now it is a solid 8/10. And once the mod is fully out and the game is further optimised and bug fixed, it should be a solid 9/10.

    And for those who think (or pretend to think) that this is a space sim instead of a space cowboy RPG (if you argue that this is RPG lite I will grant you the point), you really need to go rinse your ear and learn to read and listen.    … Expand

    First things first: this game is a "textbook critic 8.5" but really a 7.5/10, so why a 9/10? Simple: people complaining about performance issues, haters and people who were mislead. People who were mislead, you ask? Yes:    No spoiler review other than how the game is supposed to be structured (if you should focus on main quest or sidequests). Contains things discussed prior to release.

    First things first: this game is a "textbook critic 8.5" but really a 7.5/10, so why a 9/10? Simple: people complaining about performance issues, haters and people who were mislead.

    People who were mislead, you ask? Yes: one, by Bethesda Game Studios with vague statements about exploration, handcrafted content (this one took everyone by surprise) and, surprise yourselves too: reviewers who gave it a 10/10 after claiming the first thing you should do is NG+.
    I truly think there is NO procedural generation and they truly only meant it was procedurally generated terrains, which is another misleading statement.

    YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING IF YOU GO FOR NG+! More than enough reason to *ignore* every other single side quest, except a few for resources and credits. And, if you get to the final main quest mission you will realize you should have done more sidequests, saved that world and explored your first regular save more, THEN went to NG+, and go empty handed at a higher level to "finish the game". And this is coming from someone who plans to NG+ in stealth until I'm level 150, and then I will settle.

    Just why, you may ask: well, so much for "the most handcrafted content of any Bethesda game". You may find the same caves and outposts over and over which makes absolutely 0 sense, specially when searching for the "main quest items". Makes 0 sense for a game developed for more than 5-7 years. Same as the infinitely small number of weapons or communications (phones, anyone?) for no reason at all, although I confess interplanetary calls might have been too sci-fi.

    Besides, the good things:
    - This truly is one of the biggest RPGs of all time, only put to shame by Baldur's Gate 3.
    - There always is something to do and while yes, most "Activities" (tertiary sidequests?) are a chore there's some which - Great characters, great villains, great stories
    - Choices REALLY matter. Until, y'know, NG+.
    - Combat is unironically fun and not annoying, kinda easy where it needs too, too spongey where it should have not been
    - Outposts and ship building are REALLY good. Just remember to also do some sidequests to get a lot of credits, mainly the faction ones.
    - Exploration truly isn't that bad until you do it enough times to find the same layouts over and over.

    And no, it doesn't excel at anything except for physics without dropping below 30fps, which is unironically incredible. Everything is an 8.5/9 shadowed by the nonsense that is NG+ and lack of good procedural content (I think they only procedurally generate terrain, not layouts... incredible) when they could have justified "going back" pretty easily. They had the opportunity to excel there, and you will see the insanely missed opportunity.

    So yes, my review should be an 8, but just to compensate haters, trolls and people with underperfoming PCs I'm sorry little ones, but I have to do this...    … Expand

    One of the Best game I have ever played. Starfield might start slow but it’ll hook you to the game for hours and hours and sometimes days together. It’s so difficult to stop playing and go to work.

    To me this is a 10/10 and it isn't even close, I haven't had this fun since Skyrim.
    Every night I have to force myself to stop playing because if I dont I can stay up until the sun comes up. Its everything I hoped Starfield to be and more! Skyrim in space!

    I am very fortunate to have a PC that runs the game with no problems. The side quests are engaging and interesting and the locations are beautiful. Already have nearly 40 hours, and I feel like there is still a spot of content to experience.

    This game is a Bethesda love letter to the fans and if you like Bethesda games then you'll LOVE Starfield. Game of the decade in my opinion.

As for me I am thoroughly impressed and entertained with the first new IP from Bethesda in 25 years. There are so many things to do, and the writing is great, I haven't encountered a bland side quest in all of my playtime.     Most side quests have tons of content and very good stories. The main campaign is interesting and fleshed out. Gameplay is a lot of fun and many times I just get lost in the exploration. And the skyboxes are the best in any game, hands down. I have never felt like I was on another world like I have in this game, it just felt accurate to a good degree.

    I have nit picks about improvements: better water physics, space walking and underwater exploration can add a lot to the game (but that's what mods are for).

    Overall, this is the game I will be playing for years, and I think many others will do. Hate on this game all you want, but you will have to do it for a long time. Eventually, this game is going to get the recognition it deserves    … Expand

    Game is probably only deserves 9 - 9.5 but since I hate the negative review bombing it is getting from people who have never played it I gave it a 10. NPC movements are a bit stiff, the maps suck but otherwise it is a darn good game. Tons of content. I have been playing it a unhealthy amount and feel like I have barely scratched the surface. I would write more but I want to get back to playing

There is more to do than skyrim. The factions have more depth and are more interesting than elder scrolls guilds (like thieves and dark brotherhood) Has a TON of replay ability.     The game has its drawbacks, especially in the form of underdeveloped large cities. However, everything else in the game is fantastic, captivating for hours on end, and sparks a strong interest in playing. Exploring the planets in Starfield is pure bliss.

    This game is not perfect but it is very good. I wanted a better ending, a better exploration with ships, a better campaign, but who cares. Everything else is very good and I enjoy it immensely. Going to 70 hours of gameplay and happy, more than anyone else this year.

    This game went straight to my heart. After all, the best of the previous games of this studio are collected here. If you've played Fallout 4 for over 500 hours, you'll definitely find something to love about Starfield.

    I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

    In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
