Jun 7, 2020Despite an unsatisfactory ending that does not tie up all the loose ends, the last episode of Song of Horror is highly engrossing with its sinister setting and puzzle implementation.
-
Jun 1, 2020Song of Horror's fifth and final episode does maintain the quality that has been present throughout the game. Those who enjoyed the earlier parts of Song of Horror will no doubt appreciate the majority of episode five, even if its last five minutes don't quite live up to what has come before.

Sep 12, 2020Song of Horror - Episode 5: The Horror and the Song is a good ending to the story, which as a whole game looks great. But I expected something more from this episode than all the same annoying mechanics with QTE in the closet, same monsters and traps, and an ending in the style of horror movies from the '90s. However, against the background of other indie developments in this genre, the creation from Protocol Games looks like a small masterpiece.

Jul 20, 2020With its five episodes now complete, Song of Horror’s obtuse puzzles, meandering story and frustratingly unintuitive gameplay result in an experience that’s rarely scary but often exasperating.
