    Shredders fills the void left behind by SSX and Amped with its beautiful visuals, easy-to-pick-up nature, and a story that knows (and pokes fun of) the limitations brought by the indie space. While the game might be a bit jank in some areas, it's still a decent experience that's easy to recommend for Game Pass owners.

    Shredders, in an analogous sense, is more Session than it is Skate. It’s hard to see the odd story resonating with anybody, the generously proportioned terrains are sparsely populated and, as a package, it feels feature-poor. This is all despite it feeling super confident in its controls and systems. It’s a small slam from which the developer can dust themselves off, but it’s far from a wipeout.

    Shredders is at its most enjoyable when it’s not getting in its own way with zany goofball oddness. It deftly captures the sensation of carving neat lines through alpine forests and zooming across vast immaculate hillsides, that incredible feeling when the scissors start to glide through the wrapping paper. It has problems that hold it back from being a better game – gruelling cutscenes, impenetrable menu screens, some glitchy physics surprises – but Shredders is an endearingly sincere and uncynical homage to snowboarding.

    If you're a snowboard fan who likes games like 1080 and SSX this is a must-buy.     The best part of the game are the controls, despite what the review bombers say. It has natural, intuitive controls that are easy to use, and difficult to master. It will take some practice and patience to learn the harder tricks, but once it clicks it's extremely fun and addicting to play. This game feels like it was made with passion by snowboard enthusiasts.

    Performance optimizations are needed, the UI can be cleaned up, and the voice acting is bad and cannot be muted. However, the core gameplay is awesome and with diligent updates Shredders stands to be the greatest snowboard game of all time.    … Expand

    A good snowboarding game fully exclusive to Xbox and pc. Its like the ssx snowboarding. I love Xbox full exclusives:)

    Is the game polished? Absolutely not. Does it have a compelling narrative? Nope. Are there several bugs? Most definitely. Is this possibly theIs the game polished? Absolutely not. This is exactly what I was looking for, but I dont think it will be for everyone. This feels like a game for those who are into snow sports. This isn't your arcadey, mass appeal, Tony Hawk pro skater. This is SkaterXL/Session, but surprisingly, much more complete and polished than those. I will be putting tons and tons of hours into this game, but I realize that many wont see the same appeal as I do.… Expand

    There still are some things that keep this game from being truly great. First is that performing tricks felt quite inconsistent, I'd execute what feel like are the exact same inputs with widely varying results - this is especially noticeable when attempting flips.
    The game is also pretty short, it only took me about 6 hours of gameplay to make it through the vast majority of missions and complete the game. And since I 3-starred most of the missions along the way, there was little replay value left. The areas also don't feel quite large enough, perhaps I just got used to the vastness of Steep.

    Would recommend Shredders if you're looking for a snowboarding game to lose yourself in for some time, but it's not much more than that.    … Expand

    On the one hand, there is at least some kind of plot, but after a 5-minute tie it ends and you just watch dialogues about "we need this and that" with new and new characters with the dumbest humor.
    Controls / stunts are normal, but keep in mind that this is indie and the animations here are rather weak, as well as the visual style, by the way, the picture is not disgusting, but somehow tasteless, and the music is terrible and drives you into some kind of depression . The optimization is still bad.
    But on the other hand, here's the trick with snowmobiles - cool, riding on a rope behind a snowmobile is a thrill.
    That is, in principle, a fan of the genre can find something good for himself in this game, especially since the levels are quite easy to pass (There is no cooperative here, it's just an open server location where you can ride with friends or with random players). The game title - "Shredders" is nice.

    НЕ плохая игра, но не доведённая до ума. Я бы поставил нейтральную оценку, если бы было можно.
    С одной стороны есть хотя-бы какой-то сюжет, но после 5-минутной завязки он заканчивается и вы смотрите просто диалоги на уровне "нам надо то то и то то" с новыми и новыми персонажами с тупейшим юмором.
    Управление/трюки нормальные, но имейте ввиду, что это инди и тут слабоватые анимации, как и, кстати, визуальный стиль, картинка не вызывает отвращение, но какая-то пресная, а музыка вот отталкивает, она ужасна и вгоняет в какую-то депрессию. Оптимизация ещё плохая.
    Но зато вот фишка со снегоходами - улёт, кататься на некоторых заданиях на верёвке за снегоходом - это кайф.
    То есть, впринципе, фанат жанра может найти в этой игре для себя что-то неплохое, тем более, что уровни достаточно лёгкие и вы сможете их пройти, даже если просто будете проезжать трассу без особых трюков, по скидке можете взять (Кооператива тут нет, тут просто открытая локация-сервер, где вы можете кататься с друзьями или с рандомными игроками). Название "Измельчители" для игры ещё неплохое взяли.
