    Good game. I think it is kinda overrated cause it is the first in the series and etc but anyway, anyone who likes not only this franchise but survival horror as whole should give a fair chance to Resident Evil 1 (particularly this remade version).

    Definitivamente un excelente remake, desde aquí en adelante Capcom aprendió como hacer el trabajo, en un juego que mantiene la esencia del original con un apartado estético impecable, y añadidos que no pasan desapercibidos. Un remake absolutamente redondo.

    The best game of Resident evil series in my opinion, and a great remaster/remake because brig every emotion of the original game. All the characters are amazing, and I love the tank control.

    This is a good remaster. The original resident evil is not playable now a days so many people can play this remastered version. Graphics and controllers are good enough.

    Of course this franchise is very famous, and the first part was very popular, so as a gamer you should play it especially when they offer you an actual graphic. The atmosphere is still great and was the biggest strength of the game.

This is the true resident evil this is a true remake I love it so much , shinji mikami the best, perfect remake all hold things from original game 1996 with much more , new areas, different puzzle, best design, best actor choice, absolute perfect!!!!!!! Ps resident evil 2 and 3 reimagined sucks wasted remake

    This game combines awkward controls, confusing navigation, restrictive inventory management, and awful B-movie-style dialogue. And yet I rather enjoyed playing it! But why? The spooky mansion you explore is wonderfully detailed and memorable, the sound design is superb, and (most importantly) the process of solving puzzles and unlocking new regions feels challenging and rewarding, withoutThis game combines awkward controls, confusing navigation, restrictive inventory management, and awful B-movie-style dialogue. And yet I rather enjoyed playing it! But why? The spooky mansion you explore is wonderfully detailed and memorable, the sound design is superb, and (most importantly) the process of solving puzzles and unlocking new regions feels challenging and rewarding, without ever feeling unfair or too cryptic. I never played the original on Playstation, so nostalgia is a non-factor for this review. TIP: Mash WASD keys or rotate the joystick to escape monster grapples!… Expand

    I loved the original RE and this is the perfect example of how you do a proper remake. It takes the original concept and improves upon it in pretty much every way, without diverting from its core roots.

    The monsters are wonderfully creative in their designs. The environments are beautiful and brings the horrific world of RE to life with mostly static pre-rendered images, no less.     The gameplay is well balanced with just the right placement and amount of enemies, weapons, ammo and health placements.

    With two scenarios and unlockable rewards this title also has a fair amount of replay value as well.

    It's really hard to overstate how amazing, well-crafted, and influential Resident Evil is. The game is so good that it basically defined a whole genre, one that on its own greatly influences how games implement suspense and horror storytelling.

    From very life-like, deeply immersive visuals, excellent sound effects, and moody, mesmerizing music to the strategic inventory systems,    It's really hard to overstate how amazing, well-crafted, and influential Resident Evil is. The game is so good that it basically defined a whole genre, one that on its own greatly influences how games implement suspense and horror storytelling.

    From very life-like, deeply immersive visuals, excellent sound effects, and moody, mesmerizing music to the strategic inventory systems, thrilling combat encounters, and engaging exploration, the game does everything extremely well and has received plenty of praise for it.     I wanted to give this game an 8 but then I remembered that it's 2021 and it's basically a texture update for a 2002 remake of a 1998 game. It's truly amazing game and it's not surprising that it got so much praise when it first released. Gameplay might be hard to get used to for the first hour but after you get used to it this game will drag you in for hours of now just pure fun.

    Having 2 protagonists allows you to have fun with the game a bit longer but they aren't that much different and neither are their stories so in the end it isn't much more than just an easy way to extend the playtime without adding new content. That is the only negative I have to say about this game and it is probably true for all the sequels as well. The good thing is that the developers at least didn't bother us with mindless quests and fillers to artificially extend the playtime and instead the gameplay and story are quite tense(for the lack of the better word) and engaging from the beginning until the very end.    … Expand

    The perfect REmake, it shows what the OG Resident Evil can be.
    boosting atmosphere, tension, graphics, gameplay and adding events that are not out of tune.

    Playing this game in Numbered sequential order, it is tough getting used to the item allocation and the endless twists and turns of mansions and grave yards. The puzzles can be crippling in this game. You'll sit    wow, getting to re-experience this game remastered was quite the treat. I am aware that high rankings might come from the name of the game itself, a classic that everyone loves.

    This game has lots of key points that really added the innovation the Survival Horror Franchise needed.

    I Hope a remake shows itself in the form of the new Resident Evil Engine. That would be nice.

    First i have to say that i actually never played a Resident Evil Game, not even the classic ones back then. But this is the best Surival Game i have ever played in my life. It's perfect.

    This game is a great memory for me. In playing the game again, I find the memory of it was far more detailed than the game itself that I had played when it had first come out. I also miss the real video camera action that was in the original, that has been made into a CGI cut scene. That said, this game is still highly recommended, despite being dated and no where near as much aThis game is a great memory for me. Короче, это ремейк первого резика, тут довольно специфичная камера управления, но вот само управление изменено на современное, т.е необязательно как трактор поворачиваться. В общем, прикольный тут стиль, дизайн, локации, сюжет (он тут более менее интересный и не тупой, хотя местами бывает, но в целом гуд),Ну, это хорошая игра. Моя оценка 8.5/10, но тут таких нет, поэтому округлил. Тут еще нормальный Крис без рук базук (5-ая часть), и он просто лучше чем его редизайн из 7-ой части. В общем классическая резьба, именно такими RE и должен быть, ведь все эти экшоновые дебильнутые (в плане сюжета) 5, 6 и так далее части - это просто какой-то кринж. Про 4-ку расскажу в отдельном обзоре, но с неё то и начался уход от жанра Survival Horror с такими элементами квеста что ли, где упор был на повествование и взаимодействие с окружающим миром, типо головоломки всякие, и так далее, на бессмысленные рельсовые шутаны по зомбарям, а в последствие уже и по всяким паразитам, и черт пойми по чему еще. В общем один из лучших RE в серии, довольно ровный, интересный, да и вообще истоки серии, так что советую ознакомиться.… Expand

    This is a true masterpiece.
    The storytelling, the characters, gameplay, challenges: all perfect. The only one problem is a camera AND controls. Sometimes you die (on the hard level) just because the character ran in the wrong direction.
    Hopefully, in RE2 it was fixed.
    Looking forward for the third one.

    Great and old-school. Though I'm not a fan of the fixed-camera-angles with tank-controls. Thankfully as a PC gamer as I am, it's possible to change the controls to...I believe it's called "advanced controls", which means when you press the W-button your character will move forward regardless of the camera angle. It was fun to try and scary and I will definitely play this game again and again.
