    Глупо ругать разработчиков из-за плохой оптимизации на старте и ставить игре самую низкую оценку. Рокстар имеет хорошую репутацию в разработке игр, так что я уверен, что эти фризы и проблемы с фпс будут решены в кратчайшие сроки. Да, я согласен, что это фейл - выпустить игру с такими проблемами. Но нужно поверить в их профессиональность и их прямые руки. 10 из 10.

    Had to download a mod to get the game to even boot up, just to have an infinite loading screen.

    Нестген графика , кто то там визжал , ??, задел на будущее.. еще кто то там подлизнул Рокстарам???Вы там что вообще оборзели..Глаза откройте .Сравните хотя бы по тем же требованиям качество графики с Assassin's creed: odyssey , да можно и еще с более старой игрой сравнить - допустим Dying Light? НЕ хочется?     Using a 1070, game runs fine and looks good on ultra. The online services are running fairly well at the moment. To anybody having problems launching the game, just delete the graphics config file or update drivers and it should launch no problem.

    Nov 2020, the game was running fine.
    Dec 1, 2020 you released a patch that forces the game audio to low. How can i play this piece of **** game then!?


    **** Rockstar and your DRM's, your unnecessary patches that introduce bugs. I will never buy anything from Rockstar again until the remove this filthy DRM's.

    PC. Everything is fine with the game, I just went through the storyline a bit and found a bug in the mission OLD FAMILIES in the Colma O` Driscoll gang camp. When the inscription appears to look at Dutch does not work giving orders to the xbox 360 controller. On the assignment, hold down the LT button and select the answer option. But when you press LT, the answer options do not appear.PC. Everything is fine with the game, I just went through the storyline a bit and found a bug in the mission OLD FAMILIES in the Colma O` Driscoll gang camp.     Купил игру пред-релизом. Она была-бы просто великолепна, если бы не одна МАЛЕНЬКАЯ вещь... в неё невозможно зайти. Как только она вышла, я примерно 3 дня не мог зайти из-за постоянных крашов, а когда наконец-то получилось её запустить, ещё несколько часов у меня был тупо чёрный экран. Через уйму потраченного времени у меня получилось зайти в игру и поиграть, хотя заходить получалось одинКупил игру пред-релизом.     Sorry Rockstar, I love your game but you ignore your client, your game can't be launch on Shadow.tech since this naturalist update and your support is aware of this issue but they said they don't care... great service, I was a huge fan but to be ignored like this make me very disapointed

    Too many bugs, crashes, and it sucks, I want my money back.. You have to buy to much with Gold witch is hard to farm. Its kind of pay to get content like EA. We need more Quest online, because it is really boring right now. I want my money back.

    After Playing the First game Back in 2010 , I was curious on how Rockstar Would improve on this Western Game and what additional technology that would be added after a decade. Well i'm pleased to tell you that Rockstar made an immersive world with possibly too much to do and made it it too realistic for most players...im not scared away by realism , i embrace it. Feeding your horse andAfter Playing the First game Back in 2010 , I was curious on how Rockstar Would improve on this Western Game and what additional technology that would be added after a decade. Well i'm pleased to tell you that Rockstar made an immersive world with possibly too much to do and made it it too realistic for most players...im not scared away by realism , i embrace it. Feeding your horse and cleaning it is pretty cool imo. shaving and cleaning yourself is another item that while not really needed to do is an extra side event. jobs at camp might seem boring but its just another area Rockstar added in for immersion. As far as Gameplay ...ive played about 10 hours and got the idea of the gameplay which we are all familiar with ...Go here pick up mission go follow yellow path complete mission and watch ALOT Of cutscenes. This is not a bad thing and when you add in hunting , Fishing, Poker, dominoes and many other things to do in this gorgeous world , one wonders how they will complete it. And now onto the Graphics... I know graphics are not everything but when you grew up in the 80's and are looking at almost photorealism as far as the scenery , one just stops and stares as I did at lakes, valleys and towns that are almost too real to be a video game.
    For the people that give this a 1 or 0 score...Nothing will please them . is this a perfect game? No. there are issues I have such as the Wanted level you get any time you commit a crime there is someone that is a WITNESS That threatens to report you. no matter where you are. this is annoying since your an outlaw.... and thats what outlaws do, anyway to conclude this review ...if you liked RED DEAD REDEMPTION 1 You will enjoy the second one which is actually a prequel ...    … Expand

    By far, the Single Greatest PC game EVER! I was totally blown aways with the story, action, level of detail and quality. Very immersive. Graphics like nothing else out there, an exceptional sound track, character development was phenomenal and the most cinematic game I’ve experienced. Value for the money in a 70hr single player game alone exceeds anything of any game before it.

Next page go back and do it all over again for each page.. Next I was unable to begin any of the missions, as I was not able to select "accept" to kick them off.     Game is beautiful, playing it is a full joy. Land is full of random encounters and activities. Story is interesting but haven;t finished it so i'll leave the judgement for later.
    I am taking one point for minor bugs and one for one for this game appetite for your PC although i never had problems with running the game and on 980ti medium/high settings I have stable 50-60fps.

    I was really shocked to see the extremely low user score on here. I'm not compensating for that by scoring this a 10. It seems a lot of people with expensive hardware have had a lot of trouble with performance and crashing. I started playing on the day it released on my stock FX8350 and slightly overclocked GTX970...I have not had the game crash on me yet in 100 hours. I did watch aI was really shocked to see the extremely low user score on here. I'm not compensating for that by scoring this a 10. The world is gorgeous, huge, and diverse. The characters and story are absolutely epic. The mechanics are intuitive and not overdone. Best $60 I've spent on a video game in years, but maybe I'm just a cowboy that was born 100 years too late? Good on Rockstar for bringing this one to PC, I couldn't be happier with it. I hope they make a part 3.....and release it on PC of course.… Expand

    Algo para resumir este juego es que es un 'western simulator" una vez entres en el juego te vas a convertir en un vaquero de finales del siglo XIX, todas las armas recreadas como las de la época con un tremendo detalle salvo algunas licencias que no habrán podido conseguir en el nombre (ese rifle Lancaster es el mítico Winchester). Todo el tema de la recolección y crafting está bien construido, la caza es muy realista y tienes tu compendio que hace las veces de "pokedex" de los animales que vas cazando.

    Si no te atrae mucho el mundillo del wester debes jugarlo, pero si sí que te atrae es algo obligatorio.    … Expand

    Суть игры: полчаса скачешь на миссию, миссия с перестрелкой/стелсом 5 минут, полчаса скачешь на базу, все. Идея хорошая, реализация - рокстар.    Прошел полностью эту игру, могу сказать, что игра получилась средней. Очень затянута, монотонна и скучна.

    UI is utter **** half the time it wont even detect mouse input, controls werent optimized for kb at all. Why the **** do I have to hold keys instead of pressing? We have a 100 keys, we dont need this bs. If I open my inventory I cant navigate items with the mouse, if I click on smthg it gets used, so the only way to see what that item does is to use the arrow keys...

    The absolute worst part is that they didnt change the console mechanics that only exist cause ppl cant aim for **** with controllers. Should have gotten rid of the deadeye and cover systems entirely, lets hope someone can mod them away.

    First person is playable, but feels weird in some situations, thankfully you can auto disable it for horse riding/driving etc, but there should be no need for it in the first place.

    I had no crashes or laucnh issues, but I guess thats just luck. Dx 12 is very glitchy and unplayable on my system tough.

But many aspects of the game still lacking a proper level of quality compared to other games (of this era). Might have better potential when bugs and illogical situations are fixed for good. Firstly, the controls feel very very heavy and slow, it feels like steering a hugeOkay, where to start. Unfinished and unpolished. The storyline is fine, and the graphics are also okay (for this era). But many aspects of the game still lacking a proper level of quality compared to other games (of this era). Might have better potential when bugs and illogical situations are fixed for good. Firstly, the controls feel very very heavy and slow, it feels like steering a huge stubborn elephant through woody mountainous terrain. Furthermore, the in-game guide's and tips are really useless, lame and noninformative. You constantly need to google very simply stuff just to understand the control mechanisms and how to actually do things. Simple idiotic situations, such as your horse running into a tree stump or a rock thereby killing you, can ruin your gameplay or a chase/escape, taking away the pleasure, leaving you with a "WTF just happened" feeling. You have no idea or sense about your skills, health, energy or ammo level. You have to figure out this by yourself within different menus. Hell, I've been playing for many hours now, I still don't know how to change clothes to warm or cold weather... my guess is I need to go to the camp or a shop... who knows? Anyways, if you survive the torturous and patience-testing "controls" and illogical setup, you might start enjoying parts of the game when you get used to it. But this is really a requirement. Well... Good luck discovering for yourself. My review is quite obvious, don't waste your money and avoid this developer. BTW.. written by a passionate gamer.… Expand

    Great game with a nice hunting system. Graphics are amazing, sound effects are great, gameplay is awesome!
    I gave it a 9 because of a couple of crashes, which will hopefully get ironed out over time.

    Red dead redemption is a masterpiece, the story is compelling and long which makes it a great value for the money payed. Although there are some points of dull missions and a lot of horse riding the game makes up for that in the gripping story.     Абсолютно справедливые 43-55 фпс на средне-высоких (только текстуры на ультра и без MSAA сглаживания) на GTX 1060 и древнем amd-fx 8320.     Now personally? I have not run into issues that others have, but that isn't to say those folks who are having issues are wrong. I can only comment on my own experience and feel it's worth noting that my specs exceed the recommended specs. My GTX 1070 is a step above the 1060 the recommended calls for for instance. I have been able to run the game between 40-50 fps with a mix of mostly ultra and some high settings at 1080p.

    As noted others have issues which may be in part to the Rockstar launcher (which shouldn't even be needed to be honest.) Yes we knew this was coming and they pulled this with GTAV despite the fact many had already bought it on Steam and were now subject to yet another needless launcher/client. Some have noted that the game hard crashes but that this may be due to having a controller. If this occurs try disconnecting your controller and reconnecting it after the game has launched. I have also had hard crashes myself in game without a controller connected.

    With the technical issues out of the way let's talk about the actual game.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is a story driven game telling the story of the taming of the old west and how the Dutch Van Der Linde Gang and protagonist Arthur Morgan deal with the encroaching civilization.

    There is an obsessive attention to detail with luxurious animations for almost everything. The characters are well voice acted. Due to this it makes them feel real and driven by their own desires/motivations which makes the interplay between them interesting to watch.

    A wide variety of content exists for you to engage with. Collect plants, etc. Fill out your compendium of wildlife and craft new clothing and accessories from hunting them.

    The customization as I touched on just above, is robust. You can customize your horse, outfit, and yes even your guns.

    If there is one Achilles heel of Red Dead 2? It's it's lack of an efficient fast travel system. Be prepared to spend a lot of time riding your horse to get to where you want to go. I could understand if they wanted you to see the scenery, but once you've visited a town? You should be able to fast travel from a sign post akin to Witcher 3. Because of this? There are moments where the game feels like it doesn't respect your time.

    One of the problems on PS4 was you might inadvertently hit the wrong button or due to the contextual nature of some interactions? Maybe you haul off and slug someone when what you really wanted to do mount your horse or something. This is a problem here as well due to some actions being context sensitive.

    Is Red Dead 2 a game worth buying? Yes, absolutely...but just be aware that you may have to contend with some bugs.    … Expand

    Rdr had some big troubles at the start but few patches (days) later it became full playable at my i5 (2013 year processor) so nice work developers ! the others should be taught by you how to optimize! no kidding

    9/10 - RDR2 is a brilliant and engaging game with tons of depth and content. Will keep you playing for hours and hours.

    Game works nicely High settings 70-95Fps no crash or bugs afther starting to use vulkan+Async. 100% working! played over 30 hour whitout single crash.

    Great graphics, but horrible input lag and consolish controls. Couldn't finish this game, became boring AF playing with that console input lag. In 2007 Gaben was right when talking about PS3 evelopment cycle, after console you have to redo the game from scratch. 3 for art design, 0 for wasted potential. Glad you made you money on console adepts.

This removes tension and makes story arguments to paint characters as sympathetic useless as it comes across as shooting an arrow at a tree and then painting a bullseye around it. That makes it come off as lazy writing.

    The gameplay is not great as they tried to go for realism in many areas (which normally i would like) that slows things down to a crawl. Looting dead bodies and searching containers require you to individually go through each drawer and pick up each item, a process so slow I don't loot anything in the game. Fast travel is crippled in this game and you need to either travel there yourself or use a fast travel to a town instead of being able to travel to your waypoint. I tend to leave the room now while the game goes on auto pilot to my destination as its not fun traveling after a few hours of play.

    Story missions are still the same Rockstar style missions where you meet a character, travel for 10 minutes to a spot, get into a short and easy fight you where promised wouldnt happen by the character that give you the mission and thats it. I actually wonder how many of the 107 story missions are just carbon copys of themselves.

    Lastly there is multiplayer which is probably the worst part of the game as it is a clone of GTA V but with minimal effort put in. The world feels dead, missions are weak and require 4 people to play. You cant host a private session or one with friends and the Roles in the game are direct copy's of GTA Vs businesses to the point that im am willing to bet good money the code is copied from GTA directly.

    Despite all my criticisms in this review I dont think the game is terrible and if you buy the game it should be for the Singleplayer which you can sink a lot of hours into and get lost in, just be aware of the issues I have brought up and you wont feel cheated in areas and will be prepared in others.

    Would not recommend at full price especially since they are charging more for this game than any prior at £65. If you can get it at 30% off at least you shouldn't feel too ripped off.    … Expand

I played with rtx 2070 and i7 processor and dropped below 30 fps very often with medium graphics. It would be torture if the game wasn't that good. 2. There are quite long horse riding areas until fast travel options arrive. I am definitely not talking about what happened as we progress through the story. There is a lot of trouble going from one task to the next. After a while, but it's getting better. Since the game is made for the console, the controls on the PC are really difficult. I had to play with the joystick. My third trouble is the animations are pretty boring. Not all of them, but some of them, like looting for people, take quite a long time so it's better to get out instead of looting over 5 person. Realism is very good, but not that much.     Et pour moi, son plus gros défaut restera l'absence de doublages français, ça je ne le digèrerais jamais. J'entends d'ici les pro-VO qui vont me dire "ouais mais la VO elle est super, t'as pas besoin d'une VF" : bah les gars, c'est pas parce que la VF est dispo qu'on vous impose d'y jouer en VF hein, chacun fait comme il veut ! Par contre là, c'est forcé en VO de par l'absence de choix. Et surtout quand tu entends des dialogues en FR dans la ville de St Denis, tu te dis que, quitte à faire quelques dialogues FR, vous auriez pu rallonger la sauce et faire le reste du jeu en VF... Et tous ceux qui diront "oui mais le jeu il se passe aux states blablabla ils parlent américain c'est normal" je peux t'assurer que si tu fais un gros AAA (voire AAAA dans le cas présent) qui se passe genre en Italie, et qu'il n'y a pas de voix US, ça ne se vendra jamais outre-atlantique = argument rejeté.

    My issues with the game:
    1. Input lag.
    2. Forced walking in some areas. 3. Sluggish animations when turning or initiating movement. 4. The map doesn't work properly. 5. Can't edit controller buttons bindings. 6. **** performance (gtx 1080 + 4790k both overclocked) can't even maintain 60fps at 1080p and high settings because in some scenes gpu usage gets completely pegged.. this game needs    My issues with the game:

    AAA game that will not even launch thanks to Rockstar Game Launcher. Requested refund. Cannot believe this after they have over a year to figure out PC launch. Inexcusable.

    Random up to 5 second freezes and poor performance on a rtx 2060. I find the walking speed a tad slow. From playing it a bit on a ps4 I know its a fantastic game. Will wait for the inevitible patches. Bit dissapointed really.

    Какое же ПК многострадальное.Сначала железо подбираешь,оптимизируешь,копишь деньги,а тут оп - и игра просто не идет или жутко лагает.Или железо плохое собрал или игру просто не оптимизировали)

    Мораль сей басни такова - покупайте консоли и не нужно будет плакать на оптимизацию.Так как на ближайшее поколение можно будет забыть слово "Системное требование" и "Обновление железа"))))

    Игра великолепна. С самого начала ты с головой окунаешься в её сюжет, атмосферу, присматриваешься к персонажам и их особенностям. Не пропускаешь ни единого, даже самого незначительного диалога. НО! Всё наслаждение напрочь затмевает отвратительнейшая оптимизация, куча непонятных ошибок,( кому-то даже не удавалось зайти в игру), фризы и прочие нечистоты!     Великолепная Игра. У кого-то есть сбои и ошибкии и.т.д и иза этого ставят плохие оценки. Это не правильно. Разработчики пытаются их исправят и исправят. Ну иза этого, самой игре ставить плохую оценку... Бред.

    Впринципе, мы уже знакомы с данной игрой, ибо кто-то играл в неё на PS, кто-то смотрел прохождения/обзоры, так что, об этой игре уже всё сказали. Но то, что игру выпустили на ПК-поистине круто

But then comes first bummer - Price. It is in Poland 300zł when games cost around 160-240 zł it is a much bigger price for a 1-year-old game then for new AAA games that are coming out. I was hyped so I bought it. Release day, IHonestly, I was hyped for this game. I'm PC player, so I had to wait 1 year longer. Release day, I was in the group of peoples that cannot start a game on day 1 even after using lots of guides from the yt. then comes the second day when the second - different error appeared. I didn't have the will to do something about it. But today after 3 days from release day I Could finally play game that I was awaiting. And you know what? I didn't liked it... It starts with boring snow map, quests are slow, controls aren't bad, but they don't good either. Critics were calling the graphic is out of this world and I just can't see that. I'm not playing it on ultra but on high and in this snowy theme I just can't see this. After 3 h of playing, I turned it off bored and exhausted. I will come back, I want to give this game a second chance, but I have to recover from everything that happened.… Expand

    It's buggy as hell. Map with broken scale of objects on it. Captions disappearing now and then. Crashing now and then. Load your savegame and get black screen? - easy. And so on. Rockstar just spits in faces of their customers. Well, and least the game launches, so I give it 1/10.

    Aweful PC port. Cannot progress further into the story. Submitted a support ticket for this issue and was given no help. Terrible port Rockstar. Many issues.

    + Игра очень красивая: великолепные пейзажи, погода, городки, NPC и животные - все выглядит очень красиво и реалистично.
    + Реалистичные физика и анимация: ткани, снег, движения животных и персонажей сделаны на фантастическом уровне. + Детальность проработки поражает воображение: видно, с какой любовью подошли те, кто занимался созданием мира RDR2, и как пытались    Сначала о хорошем:
    + Игра очень красивая: великолепные пейзажи, погода, городки, NPC и животные - все выглядит очень красиво и реалистично.
    + Реалистичные физика и анимация: ткани, снег, движения животных и персонажей сделаны на фантастическом уровне.
    + Детальность проработки поражает воображение: видно, с какой любовью подошли те, кто занимался созданием мира RDR2, и как пытались максимально уйти от игровых условностей в сторону большей реалистичности.
    + Лично у меня нет претензий к оптимизации, игра отлично идет на средне-высоких в Full HD на моем R5 2600 + RX 580 8Gb, никаких фризов, вылетов, просадок ФПС я не испытываю.

    Теперь о плохом:
    − Тотально убогое и неудобное управление. Настолько, что за несколько часов игры у меня пару раз случился rage quit. Простейший пример: Артур устал, игра подсказывает в нижнем правом углу зажать кнопку Е чтобы отдохнуть. По нажатию Е Артур зачем-то хватает за горло стоящего рядом мужика. Приходится с ним драться, это видят свидетели, прибегает шериф и убивает Артура. Вообще случайно встрять в конфликт в этой игре проще простого. Задеть кого-то на лошади, столкнуться с выезжающим из-за угла дилижансом, задеть плечом прохожего, случайно нажать не ту кнопку (кнопка удара лошади находится по соседству с "погладить").
    − Совершенно издевательская система save/load и случайных миссий. Вы встретили на пути какую-то сцену перестрелки и вас убили? Больше вы ее не увидите и не узнаете какую-нибудь интересную деталь об этом мире. Автосохранения зачем-то срабатывают после смерти. На кой черт бы я захотел снова загрузиться уже ПОСЛЕ того, как провалил случайную миссию?
    − Совершенно убогий UI, заставляющий порой нажимать по несколько кнопок одновременно для выполнения каких-то простейших действий. Чтобы восстановить здоровье едой надо зажать Tab, нажать R, выбрать мышкой нужную еду и отпустить Tab. R* серьезно, вы не смогли придумать ничего лучше?

    Сочетание плохого управления с поломанной системой сохранений является убийственной для игры. Мало того, что вы легко наделаете глупостей с таким управлением, так еще и не сможете загрузиться чтобы это исправить. Игра просто не дает игроку второго шанса. Можно заново начать миссию из меню, но только для ачивки лучшего ее прохождения, на сюжет это уже никак не влияет.    … Expand

    I didn't know I would give a rating of 7. I wanted a perfect game that will get me out of reality. And this game nearly did it. But Rockstar Games ruined everything. I realy love RDR2, it's great world, great setting, great graphic. So beautiful, and so sad, because Rockstar can't makes games for PC. Optimization is just disgusting. You can't play without pain. Понимая что мой пк может не потянуть эту игру(хотя со всеми другими справлялся). Собрал i3 9100f, 16 гб озу и 1060 и начал пробовать запускать. Игра запустилась на удивление отлично, но проведя 10 минут в ней меня выбило с ошибкой 20010006.Во время анонса порта первой части я с нетерпением ждал анонса, но его не случилось.     Через несколько дней вышел патч, но он ничего не исправил в моей ситуации. Благо хоть получается иногда с первого раза пройти миссию в онлайне.
    Игра покупалась исключительно для игры в RDR Online с друзьями с которыми играть невозможно из-за постоянных вылетов и ошибок.
    Почему такая оценка? интересный мир и толпа заданий, не дают заскучать, но то что ты их пройти не можешь, очень огорчает.    … Expand

    Great game!Thank You Rockstar!The atmosphere of the game draws from the head.The plot is at the level in the game you can live for months.There are of course questions on optimization, but I believe that Rockstar will eliminate them over time.My score is 9/10.

    Great plot, great from a technical point, great graphic. But, optimization isn't so cool. On my gtx 1060 6gb & r5 with 16 gb RAM, ultra-high fullhd - 30 fps. Not so bad for that picture, that game gives me, but, when I saw, that 1060 is recommended, I thought it will be better.
    Idk why another guys write something like - "1060, medium settings, 20 fps", but i have about 50 fps on medium.

    GOTY. Except for few freezes in the first 30min of gameplay and some rare crashes. Who has more — switch to Dx12 instead of Vulkan. But on Dx12 there's glitches like creepy trees shaking, but this is doesn't matter at least for me.
    I'am truly enjoying this game way much more that I should.

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
