    Created an account just to write this review. The game itself it's a good game, really means nothing if can't play. Here are my issues with the game. If you are not willing to spend some decent hours to solve the launch problem and crash every hour in play. DONT BUY IT, YOU won't ABLE TO REFUND YOUR MONEY - EVEN YOU CANT PLAY.

    Here are my issues within a day: 1. update graphic driver    Created an account just to write this review. The game itself it's a good game, really means nothing if can't play. Here are my issues with the game. If you are not willing to spend some decent hours to solve the launch problem and crash every hour in play. DONT BUY IT, YOU won't ABLE TO REFUND YOUR MONEY - EVEN YOU CANT PLAY.

    Here are my issues within a day:
    1. update graphic driver
    2. update windows
    3. download windows media player 10
    4. google 'how to change RDR2 graphic setting to avoid lagging'
    5. changed to DX12 - then unable to start the game again.
    6. delete local user file to reset setting
    7. can play with low graphics quality (my computer cost 2k early this year). game crashes every hour on average.
    8. did the same quest like 4 times, due to crash during the quest then lost whole progress.
    9. lost legendary bear skin due to crash.
    10. bugged in a quest - googled 30 mins no solution.    … Expand

    For a company that is making billions it is strange they would rush this product into release without it being FAR from readyfor release. I wont repeat all that has been said before me, just signing under everything that has been said.

    I have registered on metacritci spicifcally to let the people know, i am outraged with Rockstar and Epic Game Store for this raw release.

    Horrible poorly optimized RTX 2070 Suffers to run 1440p with low settings so complicated and rockstar being only send automatic replies a company that has not a minimum of respect for customers was the same thing that happened to me on gta 5 online that lost mode online with automatic ban system even sending evidence lost mode online

    Stay away from this game. It is not playable. I paid a full price and it crashes randomly pretty often like it's a badly cracked one. I have to start the missions all over again hoping there will be no other crash, but often there is. Totally ruined my impression. Very bad QA.

    Was hoping to spend more time on Red Dead Online on PC but in the short time i was able to play on days 1 and 2, framerate was choppy and the game crashed every so often. Finally, on day 2 (day after launch day), it crashed for the final time for me and I joined the many players facing the 'exited unexpectedly' error on the Rockstar    Shame, as I thoroughly enjoyed the PS4 version.

Finally, on day 2 (day after launch day), it crashed for the final time for me and I joined the many players facing the 'exited unexpectedly' error on the Rockstar launcher, unable to launch the game.

    Rockstar support has been mostly unresponsive and unhelpful when they do respond, telling me to update the launcher which did absolutely nothing for me.

    I'm writing this review on 10 November 2019, 5 days after the PC launch, and I am still unable to play a game I paid full price for. Not even the single-player mode. It baffles me how something like this can happen. To make things worse, Rockstar has not issued any apology for this mess.

    My advice to anyone reading this is to give this game a hard miss. Rockstar promised a working game on 5 November 2019 and did not deliver. True, a few lucky ones are able to play without much issues, but ask yourself if you feel lucky (well, do ya, punk?). They are clearly in damage control now, though they might never admit it, and it looks like they have a long way to go to get everyone in the game, and an even longer one for optimised performance.    … Expand

    it seem really cool and i could play 10 hours before it crash always. Can't play anymore now even if i disabled antivirus, maj windows and clean profile......there is no solution......too bad

    Here many complain that the game does not work well or does not work for 60$. But my case is even cooler.
    Rockstar took my money and .... canceled the order. Those. they took the money and gave me no game whatsoever. They just STOLE my money.
    Money does not return. The support service has been silent for three days.

    I was one of the many that preordered this game months in advance, hoping to be able to play it on November the 5, 2019. My rig is a year old ASUS G703GS gaming laptop. ALL of the drivers are up to date. Every time I start the Rock Star launcher for RDRD2, I get an "Error, no compatible Sound card detected" message. I have a ticket submitted to Rock Star, but NONE of their suggested fixesI was one of the many that preordered this game months in advance, hoping to be able to play it on November the 5, 2019. You could get lucky and play the game perfectly with no issues in single player or online, or you could have an unplayable mess from a game that is already a year old. The servers are a mess and can't handle anywhere near the capacity necessary, and the game itself has serious problems, that require external programs and dumb solutions to even mitigate,PC version is such a complete farce.     Not to mention the online side of the game adopts the same greedy, cash grabbing balancing system that we all know and love from Rockstar, with large parts of the system locked behind a hard ~2 week daily grind without paying extra for. But don't worry, you can buy literally everything with gold (premium currency), from weapon upgrades, to entirely new weapons, to flat out raw power horse upgrades and so on, there's nothing in the game you can't buy or make significantly easier with the premium currency.    … Expand

    On the first day, the game was difficult, but it started. True, I had to work with the settings, the swap file and pretend that you did not notice 10 second freezes.     Tried every "fix" that has been released and the game keeps crashing. Tried to get a refund and have been told by Epic because I have more than 2 hours I don't qualify. Rockstar and Epic have done a pre-holidy money grab. Wait until it comes out on Steam because at least then you'll know it's working and if not have a decent chance to get your money back.

Да она даже хуже стала выглндеть, дальность прорисовки замылили! Зато пофиксили мувсет гг, в тесте производительности - Браво! Конченные рокстары, сегодня проходил миссию, и при скачке напряжения, вышел с интернета.     The worst release of the game from RSG, a week has passed since the release, the launch problems have not yet been fixed. The game then works, after a while it does not work, pumping 100 GB to start the game is a masterpiece.

    Always need to take the right steps when solving problems and resolving conflicts.

    GAME CRASHES AS HELL ALL THE TIME (especially in SAINT DENIS at nigt time)! If in the suburbs you can play an hour or two without crashes, but not a fact, then in the city crashes every 2 minutes, it is impossible even to leave the city so that it does not fly out so often. We all always look forward to a game from Rockstar. We have been playing good games for decades. Ready with patience to wait for the port on the PC for a year or two. My config: i9900K, RTX 2080 OC, 16gb, SSD. We pay for the game and get such a disgusting attitude from the support of Rockstar. I work with foreign manufacturers of industrial equipment and for such an attitude they would pay a fine and lose their reputation. Selling a deliberately defective product is a scam. It is clear that everything will be forgotten over time, but the attitude towards your audience will be remembered for a long time.     It might be a good game if I could play in it without any problem. And the hardest quest in it is to play with your friend. We spent about an hour to connect each other. Worst launch I've ever seen. And it seems that developers just don't care about us. Already week is gone but nothing changed.

    1- Anything makes the horse fall. 2- Anything causes someone to report you and have to lose money paying for the reward. 3- Every mission has bugs and glitches. 4- Conflict with gangs you always die because the    I find it ridiculous that rockstar released the pc game without the minimum gameplay required. The game is terrible, really horrible. playing for 43 hours, I realized this:

    1- Anything makes the horse fall.
    2- Anything causes someone to report you and have to lose money paying for the reward.
    3- Every mission has bugs and glitches.
    4- Conflict with gangs you always die because the life system is horrible.
    5- You spend more time getting around the map than actually playing.
    6. The legendary animal hunting system has tracking flaws and if you hunt the animal and die for anything, you simply lose the animal.
    7- It is impossible to commit crimes without having to deal with witnesses (idiot).

    Anyway, the game has a beautiful setting and a cool story, but if it were just for that I would rather see a movie, NOT A GAME.

    The cool thing is that as I played for more than two hours, I can't get refunded. Congratulations RockStar for fooling me into making me buy a game that isn't fit to play.    … Expand

    Don't buy this game! It is unplayable for many people. I updated drivers, etc., followed all the tips, and it still crashed repeatedly. Finally, it stopped launching completely. I tried verifying multiple times in the Epic launcher. Game is not ready to play.

    Nunca en toda mi vida me podía imaginar que una empresa como rockstar pudiese hacer algo así. O sea que la optimización para ps4 y xb1 es espectacular y sin embargo un pc de mil euros es casi incapaz de mantener los 60fps estables con todo en bajo. Nos tratan como jugadores de segunda sacando el juego un año más tarde y aun por encima tenemos que aguantar que a mucha gente ni le abra elNunca en toda mi vida me podía imaginar que una empresa como rockstar pudiese hacer algo así. O sea que la optimización para ps4 y xb1 es espectacular y sin embargo un pc de mil euros es casi incapaz de mantener los 60fps estables con todo en bajo. Nos tratan como jugadores de segunda sacando el juego un año más tarde y aun por encima tenemos que aguantar que a mucha gente ni le abra el juego. Si esto lo llega a hacer ubisoft o ea esto coparía todas las portadas y videos de youtube, pero como es rockstar todo el mundo calla.
    No me malinterpreten, el juego es espectacular, pero la experiencia de juego se ve totalmente manchada por culpa de la optimización, los bugs, los crahseos... Ojalá un parche pronto.    … Expand

    - обрывы связи - невозможно поставить лагерь/создать отряд - отмена миссии при дисконекте и кулдаун на нее (потеря телеги со всеми ресурсами при торговле) - события которые сразу заканчиваются при запуске - огромнейшее количество багов - сырой мультиплеер, в игре по сути дела нечем заняться - ужасная оптимизация - игра может вылететь даже в сингле -    - дисконекты

    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME FROM EPIC STORE - it still requires Rockstar launcher, and Epic launcher may cause unfixable bugs. At the current state game is barely playable, wich is absolutely ridiculous, considering how much money they ask for it. I would never again buy anything from Rockstar or from Epic store.

    Flat out the crappiest and bug infested game that i ever played. Constant crashes and i also have the cursor showing at all time bug. I don't even think Rockstar acknowledge this bug so no patch in sight. Stay away from this game that's all im saying

    The fact that they haven't patched the most game breaking bugs after it's been out for a little under 10 days is astoundning. an absolute **** joke of a port. the mouse icon wont go away after loading, the screen will start messing up to the point where half the mini map just **** breaks. constant crashes. even Fallout 76 was in a better state at launch.

    i give up on this game already , 10 days after release still having crashes , launcher problems, gltiches, bugs...etc. Comunication with Rockstar was awful. They took 6 days to answer my ticket. I cant get a refund because ''played'' more than 2 hours. Actually crashing all the time when entering cities and tweaking graphics setting. NEVER PRE-ORDER A GAME FROM ROCKSTAR

    Intel i9-9900k, GF 1080Ti, первая проблема возникла с не пропадающим курсором. Справился с ним при помощи Youtube. Были вылеты первые дни, сейчас вроде как вылеты пропали, но с последним патчем снова появился курсор в игре. И уже его никак убрать не получается.

So I'm truly honest here, I paid over 80€ for this experience, the worst experience what I have ever had with any game, and I haven't never been so truly ANGRY for gaming company, but they did it, first time ever, I have gone trough hate, and there's nothing anymore left than tiredness, I don't have energy anymore to stand this, so they say that they are STILL aware of that ERR_GFX_STATE error in that game, but they couldn't up to this day find me a solution, THINK about it, to this day, they haven't fixed my problem with this game, over like 7 MONTHS I have been WAITING to play this game without crashing, AND still NOTHING!?!?!     This is buggy garbage. Constant crashing, terrible performance. Is the game itself any good? Who knows? It's unplayable. Wondering how "Rockstar" (lol) employees look at themselves in the mirror. You have to know this is trash. Thanks for ripping me off, would love to get a refund.

    Two weeks in and I still can't play the game. About 30 minutes into a game it crashes loosing progress and at other times have the mouse cursor stuck on the screen. I have tried the fixes on the support site but still cant get the game to run properly. User support is trash and I am unable to get a refund. Don't waste your money on this mess of a PC port until they fix the game.

Да, у меня не топ комплектация, ryzen 2600 и gtx1060, но разве это имеет значение, когда я лично видел, как играЕсли бы я успел - вернул бы деньги. К сожалению, 2 недели прошло и мне было некогда.     Game doesn't work at all: when you try to do minor changes to the graphic settings like the resolution or screen size, the pc just slows down almost to a complete freeze. Therefore it is impossible to play this game in anything else other than the very low potato settings.     Keeps forgetting my settings. Often crashes when I try to apply settings. Controls haven't been adjusted for PC and are awful. Shameful. I wish I could get a refund. Don't bother.

Stage 2 was set to Ultra Hard mode as I couldn't get past the loading screen at first. Then they surprise you with a huge twist when the game resolution causes you to not be able to play and the addedRockstar has outdone themselves with this game! The download took a few hours. Rockstar's game launcher was very nostalgic with it's primitive feel and outdated and inoperable mechanics. Stage 2 was set to Ultra Hard mode as I couldn't get past the loading screen at first. Then they surprise you with a huge twist when the game resolution causes you to not be able to play and the added hurdle of not being able to adjust it anywhere was mind boggling. The end stage took the cake however, getting in touch with their "tech support" who were actually trolls set out to waste your time and cause you stress which was topped off by them telling you that you may be refunded and then never getting back with you and not refunding you. That was the creme de la creme! A masterpiece of poorly designed technology mixed with pathetic customer service. The worst gaming experience ever made in the history of gaming! You should be proud Rockstar and RD2 developers! You have become the Pinacle of greed and disgrace in the scam game genre.… Expand

    The game keeps crashing... "Played" for 10 hours... 2 hours of actual gameplay, 8 hours of restarting, crashing, blue screens, freezing... I honestly regret buying this game for PC. It ruined my memories from PS4 version. DON'T BUY THIS GAME... Not yet... it's a huge mess. The story is Great (opinion based on PS4 version) but the PC version isn't giving any chances to experience it.

Finally got it to work decently when I found out they didn't put a cap on CPU usage and it was just getting the CPU to 100% CONSTANTLY. 3rd party fix.

    Game was pre-ordered. Today is November 30 and I still can NOT play this game in case of Activation Error. My SC account has not entitled to RDR2. !!! Support absolutely does nothing !!! Almost the whole month I can not run the game. Shame on Rockstar.
    Also I've read about a lot of cases when people bought the game, but didn't get it. Massive losing of money!

    Игру нормально не тестировали. Очень низкая производительность даже на хорошем железе. Нормальный компьютер и 60 фпс? Забудьте. Самый отвратительный порт на свете. Брать не советую.

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
