    I really do not want to do this, but the game simply will not start. And rockstar acting like a rockstar is not helping. Blaming everyone but yourself for this complete **** This is my final port ever. This is also my final rockstar "game".

    After a bad, bad, bad beguining with crashes etc. They patched few things and the game works with some crashed. A new updated 1 month after that... annnnddd it's gone... The game crash again and is unplayable. RS are you a joke ?

    Этот перенос на ПК, просто жесть. Имея систему с i7 9700k 2080super 32gb плюсь игра установлена на М2 с овер скоростью. И у меня было 40фпс на ультра, вы серьезно рукстур. Обосрались вы теперь точно конкретно!!!!!!

    I always respected RockstarGames for its previous games, but this one right here is just a catastrophe. The game can't even launch due to a rockstar launcher error telling it "Excited unexpectedly". I'm really disappointed as they made us pay 70€ / 60€ to only test their game and end up finding that it doesn't even work.     Bought the Ultimate Edition on PC after owning the Ultimate Edition on PS4 previously and what a s**tshow we got.
    Updated absolutely everything, opened access through the firewall, done everything I could on my end to make it work and I still can't get the game to boot.
    Screw this, refund me my money and I'll use the money to buy another PS4 and redownload my verison of RDR2 so I can    Bought the Ultimate Edition on PC after owning the Ultimate Edition on PS4 previously and what a s**tshow we got.

    Broken and buggy game. Ported extremely bad to PC. I have a bug with the mouse overlapping the game, but not the windows mouse, the game's own default mouse pointer. If you are reading this before buying the game, do not bother. The gameplay consist of troubleshooting, since they didn't bother to do any play tests themselves. Please don't buy this crap.

    Which makes this even more shameful, since the Rockstar Launcher, that is completely unecessary, makes launching or playing this game impossible, for the love of God do not spend your money, I havent even been able to get a refund from Rockstar (I did get a refund from Epic Games though).
    For this reason, I have to rate this port    The game is fantastic as I've played it on a console.

    I have an REALLY good pc, i run every game on 200+ fps. i was so happy when i bought this game..... BOOM its open fine, but its ass at runnig the game normal, like **** it freezes 24/7. u cant play the game right now.....

    GTX 970 + i5 6500, игра постоянно зависает на 5-10 секунд, а через пол часа игры клиент крашится с вероятностью 99,9%. Это худшая оптимизация за последние 10 лет игропрома... Рокстары конкретно обделались...

DO NOT BUY IT unless you want to deal with utterly $h@it optimisation (my 980ti with 24GB RAM, 3GHz 12 cores CPU and SSDs can barely handle it in 1080p) unless you like extremely annoying steering (huge delays), terrible camera, massively frustrating auto save (sometimes you lose 15 minutes that you need to repeat on and on) and worst launcher I have ever seen. I wishThe game is rubbish.     The game itself seems pretty. But the online gameplay is awful, there is just random stuff going on, and if you're doing your job fine, something randomly goes out of control like:

    People exit from lobbies, your horse just leaves you or simply dies. This is not a hard game, it's just frustrating af.

    Aannnd i can't make a refund, which is also painful.

Do not buy until the problems are fixed and i am pretty sure they won't fix any of it and just grab the money and run. Completely unacceptable ! And Nvidia, please get your **** together.     Didnt complain about the vomitive ports we received 11 years ago with GTA IV and Bully on Steam, nor with the awful L.A. Noire 30 FPS cap, even I tolerated that GTA V was launched 1,3 years after the next gen and we didnt received nothing but in-game premium currency and non-single-player content, but this is a real FCKING shame and Rockstar owes the PC Community a million apologizes. A million.

    Not only we do have to wait one more year to see our GOTY wishlist games to be launched to our devoted platform, but we also have to be content with a shady developer whose prime directives consists on signing exclusive contracts to see them endorsed to the console platforms for 1 full year and abusing their 2 latest releases (excellent on single-player content) to see them only focused on their dull online attributes.

    My setup consists on a pretty decent 1660Ti, plus a bit outdated i5 7400 plus 16 GB of RAM. The joke about this? The most sterile scene in the game, and the first, some snowy planes, brings death to my FPS. 40 frames per second on Low-Mid settings? Impossible...

    If you wish to see this game bloom and get to a healthy state of performance, keep post abismal reviews and Twitter, so maybe R* becomes fully aware of this tremendoulsy terrible issue and they finally update the game with a quality-of-life patch, not like the futile placebo composed by 5 minor fixes thay they made 48 hours ago.    … Expand

    It is impossible to play, the game constantly slows down even at the lowest graphics settings. The processor is 100% loaded with the game. I5-6600 processor, graphics card GTX-1060 6GB.Rockstar has no conscience.

    After troubleshooting and disabling antivirus (seriously? a AAA studio is telling me to disable antivirus to play their game??), the game will launch but is unplayable due to constant freezing (not a graphics performance issue, as framerate is stable apart from these 'hitches').
    Rockstar offers ZERO communication and will not respond to emails.    Game did not launch when first released.

    The game is really in bad shape. I do not have stuttering and have seen that mostly Intel with four core processors have that problem. I am happy I have Ryzen then. In any case, it crashes quite often so I have to repeat the missions several times. That is bad, I was not expecting such a bad state of the game.

    Currently unplayable due to issues with the games software. Game freezes constantly for about 30 seconds, this happens every minute or two. Rockstar offers no solution to these problems. Unacceptable for a AAA release that costs 60 dollars.

    I'm giving it a 0 because the online portion of the game is a joke. Every 5 minutes you get a 0x20010006 error code that has no fix as well as an issue where the fps drops to 2. The support asks you on twitter to make a ticket for assistance yet they don't respond to you. If this wasn't an issue the game would be amazing and I'd have a blast online.

    ERROR CODE 0x20010006 makes this game unplayable. After waiting for the game and paying top price, it is useless as a multiplayer game. It works ok for solo games, but that is not what I signed up for when I paid full price for the game. STAY AWAY

    Red Dead has been my favorite series for over a decade, and I've been anticipating this release for nearly four years.

    However, Rockstar took $80 and gave me a broken game. 8 second+ freezes every twenty seconds. CTDs every thirty minutes. After the launcher update, it simply won't start.

    Купить за месяц до релиза эту игру, ждать а по итогу получить ошибку. Я три дня дрочился чтоб ее установить, два раза устанавливал чистую винду, только драйвера и эту ссаную игру. Но хрен я поиграл. Спасибо рокстар

    I bet their QA/Test Lead is sh1tting himself currently and rightly so. Whilst I appreciate PC releases have a complexity attached on release which differs from consoles but this experience stinks of a team that hasn't tested properly. I've never had this experience with ANY other pre-ordered or purchased game.

    The fact that Gaming Media have effectively buried the issue and CNET releasing some nonsense article stating the 'majority of problems are fixed' - I don't believe it, I suspect R* have reached out as a damage limitation exercise and these **** journalists have agreed so as to not risk getting future pre-releases for review.

    If I could give a minus score I would.

The game crush all the time. I download all new drivers, delete antivirus and thank God the game started (not for long). i play 4 hours. in this 4 hours that i played in the game most part of time I figured out the graphics settings. This game is poorly optimized ( AMD Radeon R9 280) on a low or medium settings ( doesen`t matter) have 20-25 FPS. So, i play 4 hours and the game crushed again. I check everything. New drivers, no any antivirus. And I still can’t sort out with it. I very dissapointed ( sorry for my english).… Expand

    the game closes itself several times, it stops working, it often can't launch the launcher, always crashes and asks for safe mode, just like GTA V did, it's poorly optimized, extremely heavy, and doesn't recognize all GPU memory even with new drivers, extremely bugged on PC version

    This is THE WORST port I have ever seen. There are way too many ridiculous bugs menus take WAY too long to load and I had to restart several times because the game KEEPS CRASHING and I KEEP LOOSING MY PROGRESS.     I paid money for the game, but I can’t play it because it doesn’t work. And I do not have a weak PC. There are no similar problems with other games.

This is the most garbage game performance I have ever seen (and I've got all the Bethesda ones). My system isn't total top end (980ti, Intel 15-6600, 16GB RAM) but it's well within the minimum specs.It sure it a beautiful game ... and I get so much time to watch the scenery during the freeze-frames that happen every 2 seconds. I love this style of game, but every 15 minutes I have to keep pushing myself to continue. I'm probably not going to play any more of the story, despite really looking forward to it for a long time.

I love this style of game, but every 15 minutes I have to keep pushing myself to continue. I'm probably not going to play any more of the story, despite really looking forward to it for a long time.

    A couple of hours into multiplayer, I had a little fun messing around with a buddy, but about every 15-20 minutes I'm getting disconnected from the server. The worst thing about the game for me at the moment, though, is constant freezes (In single player and multiplayer). Freezes happen once every minute or two and last 5-15 seconds. It's so frustrating it's not even playable. I have a nice rig, but I'm running everything on the lowest graphical settings just to try to stop freezes. I've followed every suggestion Rockstar has put up on their website to no avail.

    Really wish I had my $60 back. Rockstar has lost all goodwill it has built up with me over the years. They're just another declining video game company not interested in their fanbase and trying to cash out as much as possible. Sad.    … Expand

    Unbelievable, this game is broken, it's crash for no reasons, dismounting crash take, a cover crash, you get stuck in texture, in object: cliping bug, collision bug, and the worst for me the **** mouse icone stay on your screen

    Was able to play the game despite really bad fps and stutter issues but ever since they started patching, I've been stuck in infinite loading screens followed by error messages.

    $60 for a headache and a slideshow

    TERRIBLE launch! don't buy until they fix ALL the issues! spent almost 5 hours troubleshooting and i still cant launch the game. worst launch i have ever experienced! and the support is beyond terrible! "please submit a ticket we would like to look into this" is ALL that you will get. DO NOT BUY.

The settings do not scale properly to allow better performance. There are many issues and bugs. I can't even properly lower my resolution without bugs appearing.

    Being patronized by Rockstar to "update my drivers" was a bad move. I feel a strong presence of corporate interference with this launch. I get the impression from take two that they struck a deal with gpu companies (nvidia, amd) to coerce more players into buying high end gpu's. I'm angry that I spent money on recommended (which in my mind means 60fps at med-high settings) hardware that turns out to be subpar even on some of the lowest settings. The game runs even worse at lower settings.

    There needs to be some type of recourse for these publishers that pressure developers into pushing out subpar product. I for one will never preorder another Rockstar title after this disappointment.

    I built a pc based off the prediction of this release 2 years ago, and for this to fail as hard as it is and to be given a patronizing response over obvious greed is a real bummer.

    Best in the industry verified this game is not compatible with most Intel processors. Likely will not be fixed and Rockstar will not acknowledge the processor issues publicly, almost a full week after launch.

You go to lasso and hogtie a bounty and it spawns enemies with shotguns right next to you so you can never get the bounty anyway. Just the mostThis game sucks dick. So pissed I spent 60 on it. It wasn't just a garbage launch but its a garbage game. Every design decision they went with was just **** terrible. Its clunky as **** slow as **** and not fun to play at all. I don't see how anyone has fun playing RDR2. Im going to have to try out cheating and hacking to see if that makes it fun but it probably won't. The animal spawns in online are laughable so hunting isn't fun and the gun mechanics are clunky so PVP isn't fun. Plus they through in pay to win dead eye cards… Expand

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
