    After freeing the Mudokon spirits imprisoned in the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vaults, Abe gained scary powers from the Spirit Guides, including the ability to heal his Mudokon friends of Soul-Storm addiction, and the power to turn invisible. Infiltrating the transportation hub of FeeCo Depot, and using explosive farts to survive adventures at the Slig Barracks and Bonewerks, Abe broke into SoulStorm Brewery.
    There Abe learned the truth behind the secret ingredient of SoulStorm Brew . . . just before blasting the place to atoms with the combined power of the sobered-up Mudokon he'd rescued. The backgrounds are more varied, the gameplay is more tight and fair, and the soundtrack has both atmospheric tracks and genuine bangers. The iteration time has been count down significantly thanks to the introduction of Quiksave, the puzzles are less tedious and far more interesting thanks to the more advanced Gamespeak. This game is amazing, and a certain classic that holds up today, unlike Oddysee.… Expand

The most notable improvements are a long campaign twice, many more playable characters through Abe (Including your own fart), a 2-player mode "turned over" for life, and many other interesting details, such as an improved system of speech, allowing you to talk and give orders to multiple Mudokons at once, something that was very uncomfortable at first, having to talk 1 on 1. Again there is the downside to that being an old game still has a very low resolution, so it shows the pixellated, and in turn the voices dubbed in Spanish are of very poor quality, I recommend playing with the original voices are actually of the best performances in a videogame.… Expand

    I feel this game doesn't get the respect it deserves; the first game was a milestone in 2D platforming and this one retains the aesthetics ofI feel this game doesn't get the respect it deserves; the first game was a milestone in 2D platforming and this one retains the aesthetics of the first and builds on the overall atmosphere and you of Oddworld.

    Abe's new ability to possess of Sligs (and, by extension, Sligs), Flying Sligs, Paramites, Scrabs, farts, Glukkons is fantastic, and really adds to the gameplay. Environments are well animated and varied, and while the overall mechanics of the game are easy to grasp, it provides a rewarding challenge for those looking to complete it 100%. And just as in the first game, the story and lore of Oddworld is charming and engaging. Overall, fantastic game, would definitely recommend to all, especially those who played the first. You may find it in the bargain bin (digitally), but it deserves a spot on the mantlepiece.    … Expand

    This game is essentially the same as Abe's Oddyssey with a few improvements:
    - Better tutorial
    - New enemy type - Able to possess more    This game is essentially the same as Abe's Oddyssey with a few improvements:

    - Able to possess more types of enemies
    - Able to save whenever, which lets you create your own checkpoints

    That said, the controls still feel clunky and delayed, which causes many frustrating deaths. Otherwise the plot, atmosphere and characters are great.

    Bought on sale for $0.50 and got 13 hours of semi-fun out of it.    … Expand
