Is it worth it? In this case it depends a lot on how much you like cyberpunk settings and dystopian futures, as well as point-and-click adventures in general. In this case, it is an interesting experiment in merging it with RPG battles, and that is also something to be valued. Perhaps the scale has failed, having put so much in such a small space, because the approach was ambitious and had potential. When the game ends, there is not much else to do, and you get the feeling that this could have given more of itself. However, that does not mean that it is one of the most interesting indie games we have played, and in this case also with a Spanish stamp.

Neon Blood stands out for its art, featuring incredible environments, great pixel art, and incredible hand-drawn cutscenes. However, the rest of the gameplay and narrative features a disappointing lack of depth, preventing the game from reaching its full potential.

Some very pretty and impressive visual production values can’t disguise the fact that Neon Blood’s narrative and gameplay feel far too anemic.
  4. 60
The beauty of an art style in which retro and modern give life to a visually credible dystopian world cannot hide the gameplay lacks under its pixelated guise: despite the short duration, the lack of depth between investigative phases, exploration and combat has time to leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

Neon Blood's short running time is an advantage because there is not enough content and ideas to fill more hours of entertainment. However, I wish Chaotic Brain had chosen to give the story more weight and a darker tone. They never managed to engage me and it feels like they themselves were lost and didn't really know in which direction they wanted to take the adventure.
