It is endlessly replayable, escpecially as it has a 'constant betterment' aspect kind of like Animal Crossing, except in Minecraft, there is a general goal (that you can completely ignore), and each world you start up is completely different from the last.     I usually play this game while listening to pod-casts. It is very calm and has a large open world. It's fun to play with friends. There are many mods and maps. Definitely play it if you need some relaxation.

    Java works just fine btw, even better if you use optifine.     It is simply unbeatable, I am amazed the meta score is so low. While the graphics are sub par the world is colorful and fun, the gameplay is simple yet enjoyable, and with a unlimited world I couldn’t recommend this more, the only negative thing I can say is that after hour 5000 on my world I started to get a little bored and couldn’t think of new ideas.

Whether it's exploring, fighting or mining, every single aspect of the game has been polished and with active development this game gets better with every update! Mojang doesn't miss!

    One of the landmark games for sure. Ultimately its great just cause what it does is so unique and enables so many different creations.

    The actual game design is very limited and requires mods to be properly enjoyable.

    For instance the game world is massive but everything you need can be found in one mine... And villages are not particularly useful either.

    The OST is absolutely brilliant.

    Playerbase has aged a bit poorly, though the game is still great.

    Optimization is a little disappointing[-1].

    On top of that... Joe Schmoe or whoever came up with an idea of starting seemingly unnecessary censorship[-1]. I mean, it didn't come out of the blue; but still.

    I bought the alpha version of Minecraft when it was first released. It went the old school way: A badly designed HTML 5 page from Mojang on which you could buy a game called Minecraft for seven euros. After that, you could download the game in a zipped .jar format and extract it to your pc. Start the Minecraft launcher and you are good to go.

    When I first played Minecraft, I did not know what to expect but the whole survival and free build concept immediately intrigued me. It felt so new and fresh but the ancient graphics (who were much, much worse back then) took some time to get used to. I started building a nice, safe home right away and looked for coal to make some lights.

    Minecraft has laid the foundation for all the crafting survival games out there and, in a way, I am proud that I played “the original” one first.

    The whole concept of the game has not changed much over the years. Just build stuff and, in the present times, defeat a dragon and conquer a fortress, located in the seventh layer of hell.

    The game has been updated over the years and it remains fascinating to see how such a simple, small game, became one of the biggest open world games of all time. Every update included a ton of added resources, items, mechanics and mobs and still does these days. You now can make potions, grow any crop you can think of, enchant stuff, make magic books, the list goes on.

    Today, whole servers with custom build playrooms, mighty castles, incredible build projects and unimaginable feats have been accomplished and it is just great to see how creative people can be with this game.

    I spent hours surviving, building nice castles and exploring the caves and the nether. It was all good fun. With mods you can make the game into everything you could ever imagen, my personal favourite being Pixelmonn.

    The only problem I have nowadays with Mincecraft is that it has no purpose anymore for me. Back then it was new, the exploring and surviving was a goal on its own. Today, I am sometimes motivated to build a huge castle or project, spent hours and hours of my free time on it and then, when it is finished, I take a death stare into limbo and ask myself: “What was the purpose of this”? Technically you can beat the game nowadays by slaying the Ender Dragon, something I already did. The credits roll and you have beaten Minecraft, but still, the game goes on after that and there is no ultimate end goal. I experience this issue with other sandbox survival build games too, but with Minecraft, it is the worst.

    It could be my age (30 next month), after all, Minecraft is now considered a kid’s game, fun for the whole family. Whatever the case, these days I can only respect it like I did back then and pas the torch (stick + coal) over to the next generation.    … Expand

    I thought overall Minecraft was a good game It is a good sandbox survival game it gets to almost everything you would want in a survival game. It has good crafting and easy controls for crafting. It fits everything you want in a game for kits. I would have rated this 10/10 but Minecraft does lack sometimes but mods that are community made make them better

    Minecraft is the definition of childhood imagination. The game has near limitless possibility when it comes to building whatever you desire. It's charming art direction, and calming music come together along side some fun gameplay, and monster's to create what I will call one of the greatest survival and sandbox games I have every seem.     Summing up Minecraft into a short review is kind of challenging. Despite the simplicity of it's goals and design, it manages to be one of the most creative, innovative, and fun games of all time. Genuinely more of an art form than a game.

    Minecraft is unlike anything else that has been released, regardless of whether you like it or not. The best way I've ever heard someone describe it was "playing Minecraft is more like an experience than a game".

    I still genuinely believe this is one of the greatest games ever made, but the frequent updates turned A simple game with amazing complexity into a loud, over crowded experience that only hinders player experience. The updates might make the game worse as it goes on as it only seeks to add more, not to improve

    Классика... Сам играл в эту игру и она заслуживает своей популярности. Правда у меня была довольно плохая оптимизация на новых версиях, я не виню Майнкрафт в оптимизации потому-что у меня "directx 9". Геймплей наверно самый инновационный, так как жанра выживания никогда не было, плюс там полная свобода творчества 9/10.Классика... Сам играл в эту игру и она заслуживает своей популярности.     I dont know of a game that manages to have something for everyone but minecraft surely comes as close to that as ive ever seen i dont understand how anyone could possibly give this game a rating lower than a 8/10

    The game itself is average at best, and you all have to admit it, but what the community have created with it, has turned this game in one of the best games ever due to all the possibilities it allows and how human imagination can make all sort of things with it.

    Best game of all time. Soundtrack was amazing and so was the nostalgia from playing this game again. I feel like this game has been hated on in recent years because people dislike the community behind it.

    Minecraft has not aged well at all.
    Gameplay- Minecraft is incredibly hard to get into when playing singleplayer, game progression is very loose, gathering materials is a slow process, and once you're prepared for the Nether, you need to hope and pray that you're strong enough to take on the big bad Nether Fortress or else you're not    I wanna be as objective as I can be with this review.
    Minecraft has not aged well at all.

The updates never feel substantial enough. Even though this game has been "full release" for over eleven years at this point, it still feels like a beta of what could come. Mojang's own refusal to add content from the likes of Minecraft Dungeons or at least some new bosses to fill in the gaps in progress has been holding Minecraft back for a really long time. I get it, Minecraft is also a creative tool but Survival mode makes gathering the materials for a cool build much more so a slog, and Creative mode takes out the reward for making a cool build (besides making cool block art/architecture.) Sadly. this game blows. Boring 4/10
    Aesthetic- I've never been an oldhead who was confused by Minecraft's art style and over the years, the blocks only look better and better with every update, yes, even after the texture overhaul of 1.16. I honestly have nothing to complain about here besides adding fireflies you lousy devs. Pretty, 9/10
    Sound- C418's soundtrack has an amazing melancholy feeling that makes you want to give this game a 10/10 for "muh nostalgia," their tracks are completely brilliant and if I listen to just the right cover, I might shed a tear. Lena Raine has made objective bangers in place of C418 as well. My favorite track from Minecraft personally is Pigstep. Music bops, 10/10

    This Game Shows us that graphics story dosent matter. I play minecraft for 5years, but still i didn,t finis everything. u can never bord when playing minecraft. u can make ur imaginations. u can disturb ur friends or play bedwars with your friends or make friend in minecraft. u can do almost everything u like. or install mods that make ur game more interesting. i love minecraft.

    The 1.0 version of the indie phenomena is still obviously unfinished and flawed in many ways, but it's so easy to forget that when you're building your dream castle, exploring scary caves and vast mountain ranges and having a great time in its blocky world.
