    Best games are not the games who are the most played in their years, are the ones who remain in your heart and you feel the nostalgia when you go back. Minecraft gave great times to all of us, great days with friends, playing Sky Block or Survival, trolling your friends and farming with them. I don't know a game which brought people like Minecraft at the same time, at the same server.     This game is absolutely incredible! Build a skyscraper, build a Redstone contraption, survive the incredible adventure that is survival mode, play on servers and meet new people, and a lot of other things. EPIC

    I made an entire meta critic account just to say I cannot **** believe the gall of the developers in this game that they let their consumers tame and take care of pets just to let them die with no way of resurrecting them. I had tamed an ocelot and named it greggeth, and he was my pride and joy. Me and greggeth would go mining together and fish down by the creeks.     I’m giving this a 10 rating. Does not mean game is perfect however I would give it a 9.6 if I could. This game is a revolutionary sandbox game. This game is the inspiration for games like Fortnite. There are some problems like some glitches, but every game has them. I like the last two updates, especially Village and Pillage. I barely have considered a update bad unlike other games. StoryI’m giving this a 10 rating. Does not mean game is perfect however I would give it a 9.6 if I could.     Ok, I do love me some Minecraft. Mostly because I'm a creative person and just love building. I've been playing this since sometime in '12 and I still like to load it up a couple times a year to see what they've added to the game. There are some mechanics that are still very frustrating years late that I wish were addressed like the terrible heal system. You eat a steak and fills youOk, I do love me some Minecraft.     Mastapiece this game has captured the hearts of everyone and the pc version is the definitive edition or the switch version but still minecraft mods are amazing I say they make better mods for this then skyrim but don't at me

    Minecraft, one of the most revolutionary games in my entire life. The depth of gameplay is astounding, yet the mechanics are simple and can be learned in a few hours. Whenever I play this game it truly gives me a sense of wonder and enjoyment.
    If you buy this game I assure you it will not disappoint.

    Well the game received a huge ton of praise, for an indie game it's excellent, as a normal game it's alright but nothing to hold on a pedestal or put on a fridge. The game is incredibly simple, but it works, relying on the user's imagination.     I grew up with this game. It's actually crazy how it's changed over the years. The updates keep it fresh, and it's a very fun and enjoyable game to play. The gameplay is so simple but the concept is super great. -1 for server issues. Other than that, it's perfect for it's classic gamemode, survival.

The survival mode is where you have limited resources around the map and must go and mine, craft dig and shovel, etc and if you have enabled “easy, medium, hard” you must fight monsters that try to go near you. The hardcore mode of the game is where things get really difficult, because once you die, your world gets deleted and you have no chance of respawning.
    There are also mini games on the Wii U, Xbox, and PS4 versions of the game called Tumble, Battle and Glide. Tumble is a free game which is basically spleef, where you use shovels and snowballs to make players fall off the platform. The last standing person wins.
    Battle is basically like hunger games, just with less players and smaller map size. Depending on how many players are in the game, the maps will expand to fit that amount of players. You go find items such as swords and bows and use them to defend yourself from other players. Battle royals, last one standing wins.
    Glide Is by far the least fun, however it still can be really fun on your own. The glide mode requires a lot of practice and you use wings to glide and navigate your way around the map until you reach the finish line. There are boosters hidden around the map that allow you to take shortcuts or get that extra speed boost. With other players it is a race.

    You can customize your character in the form of skins(some you have to pay for on all versions) or create your own on the Pc or Pocket editions.

    Other players on the pc version can start servers where you can find other people and mini games. The most popular are Hypixel, Lifeboat, anything pvp related and much more.    … Expand

The villagers are also interesting, they really make the player feel alone in single player, as they can't communicate with anything other than grunts. There are also chances to play with friends either on the same console or online, plus there are things called servers that were made by people so that you can play minigames or other activities that they have designed. The graphics are a good call back to the 8-Bit graphics of the NES, and the gameplay is smooth and the controls are even better with them being simple to use and understand. Overall if your looking for a fun sometimes family friendly game then this perfect for you. There is no wonder why its one of the best selling games of all time… Expand

    Everything is amazing. The number of things to find, craft, explore, and do is overwhelming at times, and the possibilities are near endless. A unique style and amazing music only improve the experience as a whole.

    I don't think the lack of a story is anything bad as the game isn't one that should have a story. It's more so about the player's decision to do whatever they want.     Then we have the multiplayer. The servers are a great addition to a great single-player game, and grants even more fun to be had, especially with friends. With LAN, you can also play with your friends on your single-player saves, which makes the game much more fun to play.

    Minecraft used to be a perfect game, a 10/10 for me. This was before Microsoft stepped in and completely f****d everything up. Instead of the updates adding necessary features to the game, now, they feel completely unnecessary. The prime example for this would be the unnecessary texture changes that for a huge majority, look worse than the original textures.     I bought Minecraft in 2013. I just stopped playing it this year, in 2018. 5 YEARS. That is how long I spent on this game. And the only mods I have ever used are Optifine and the Epicarno Mod. It says a lot about how much this game can offer. Now for my review of everything in the game.

    The Story:

    The Combat:
    The basic combat is pretty complex stuff, as you can tailor your playstyle around a variety of weapons. There are swords (basic, everyday weapons), axes (high damage, slow speed), pickaxes (breaks armour faster), bows (ranged alternative), and most recently, tridents (throwing weapons).

    The Building:
    The best gameplay aspect. Tons of blocks, infinite possibilities. I don’t see why people would hate on Minecraft other than to make themselves look cool. (I know, the community sucks. But that isn’t the game itself, that is the people playing it. Jeez.) Plus, the holy grail of all blocks, the Command Block, is in the game. You can essentially use Minecraft code in order to summon monsters, give yourself items, and even change how the game plays. The imagination really is your only limit.

    The Multiplayer:
    Mojang (and Microsoft), have pretty bad server connection. It can take ages to log onto servers for some people. I never really ran into this though, and my internet isn’t the stuff of your wildest dreams. The servers are amazing in this game, and I have made many friends by playing on servers such as Hypixel and Cubecraft.

    Basically, this game has actually changed my life and changed the way I think. This masterpiece deserves the 10/10. My only complaint is that Microsoft seems to add trivial features all of the time.    … Expand

    The item or block features are pretty simple,but they do have their own law to make this block world vivid.this is the most charming things for me.It has duplicated another world which has no stress no sorrow and always made me grin.
    Let's talk about the music by C418.The music doing a great job to reflect the loneliness and silent which are stick to the gameplay.they have become my favorite music right now and I cant fall asleep without listening the album XD.

    Although their improvements nowadays are odd, and their AI's could be better. Mojang/Microsoft's Minecraft hits it out of the park when it comes to creativity, imagination, preparation, and survival. This game is nothing short of a masterpiece.

    1. The devellopers are too stupid to programm a game correctly :
    There's no denying it, the way that this game has been coded is very amateurish, the fact that it runs on java is a dead giveaway. The game is very poorly optimized
    and for its poor graphics, uses a lot of superfluous resources from your computer, if you want to play it in a way that gives you an acceptable viewing range or relatively pretty graphics to admire your creations , be prepared to use a very beefy computer and forget about playing it that way on the go.

    2. The devellopers are too stupid and morally corrupt to fix a BUG :
    If you want to make a functioning, complex piston machine there's one thing that will f*ck you over : the "quasi-connectivity" BUG, a BUG wich defies logic (because it's a BUG, duh), in the way that it creates unpredictable leaps of activation by redstone, in short, it goes against the principle of this game wich is "block by block" (not my words indeed, as the the official name of a Minecr*ft charity project is "block by block initiative"), and instead adds a whole bunch of nonsensical "rules" wich kill a lot of possibilities.
    Now, you surely want to ask, why do I stress the word "BUG" like a r*tard ? Well, it's simple, after this BUG was discovered, like with any BUGS, people started to exploit it to create new possibilities, and that is normal, however the ret*rded devellopers decided not to fix the bug and insted "make" it (make as in makebelieve) a "feature" (no, I'm not kidding you https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-14664). I consider this to be the proof of two things : a huge part of the minecraft community (best exemplified by this person https://youtu.be/aRdcptG365I?t=105), as well as the dev team are completely ret*rded and morally corrupt. You have to be either one of these things at an extreme or both if you think that a BUG wich breaks the game, could not a) be replaced by an actual separate FEATURE of the game b) not be given priority in every version of Minecr*ft, and instead be kept for those who absolutely need it in older versions, or even, god forbid, become optional (yes, yes, 10 years olds, its mind-blowing)

    3. The devellopers need an eternity to create simple updates
    Updates for this game take several months to be realeased. That would be nothing unusual if the updates wouldn't consist of pretty much nothing. for example between november 2016 and June 2017 (1.11 and 1.12), the only major changes were better coloration and a turorial.
    If you want more evidence that the devellopers are lazy, look no further than the big layers of fat wich envellop Markus Persson's body, who, if you didn't already know, is the founder of Minecraft and has stopped working on it a while ago to sell it for 2.5 billions $ to Micro$oft and, thus proceeded to do, and still does, nothing all day.

    Considering this, you might agree that it would be amoral to buy this game, because I don't think it is really necessary for some incompetent nobodies to cash in on an idea that was made 10 years ago while seldom producing anything of worth.
    F*ck the lazy and stupid programmers, f*ck Micro$oft, f*ck the ret*rds that defend this game, and download a cracked version on the internet. Cheers.    … Expand

    Great game, amazing concept, perfect execution, large community (of mostly 12 year olds). Definitely worth the money. The community is pretty trash but there are a few parts of it that are great. Minecraft is a game I've had since I was young and it will always be a game I look back on with fond memories.

    Since there is no rule or background story in the game, you can play freely. You can build things that you would want or like and also go explore new biomes and dungeons. The different dimensions of the game make it more exciting. I can't wait for the update with all the new features.

    Bosses seem rushed and untested. The Ender Dragon is very difficult even on easy mode.

    There are several "grindy" parts of the game. For example, enchanting costs levels to perform, and even enchanting 2-3 items can take 1-4 hours of level grinding. To get to The End the first time requires 14-16 ender pearls which drop from a rare enemy. To summon the Wither boss requires 3 wither skulls which are a very rare drop from a very rare enemy.

    Spent $27, played 180 hours, not recommended because there are better sandbox games.    … Expand

    It is very glitchy sometimes. It is boring. It just the same thing each time. Mine, kill animals, make food, kill monsters, sleep. It is boring and theres no real purpose to the game. Like theres no objective. Killing the ender dragon maybe? Play if you want to. Also the monsters are quite scary/violent. They hurt you. I wouldn't recommend the game.

First, the multi player is just really bad and laggy, I couldn't even play it without my game freezing or bugging all the time. Now, the single player is literarily the only enjoyable about the game, and survival is the only mode that is also fun, and if you play on creative, you're being judged.     The game was good until the 1.8 update, I played the 1.6- 1.9 updates. The community is also horrible and cringy, singleplayer gets boring after a while. Multiplayer was fine, until 1.9 came out and ruined PVP. I stopped playing a while back, and I'm sure many others did too.

Since 2009, Mojang has been making the game better for people of all ages to ease into the gaming world by entering through the gateway to gaming (Even your grandma could learn the controls it’s that simple). This game, like no other, features key aspects which make it stand out to any other game on the market. The graphics on this game give most people a nostalgic throwback to the 90’s playing around in an 8-bit graphic sandbox but very creatively blended in with modern day shaders to make this game look like the mona lisa painted on an 8 bit colour palette.
    The game doesn’t need a story. Your keyboard and mouse make the story. Nobody knows where this character ‘Steve’ came from, but he is the only human to exist, surrounded by a vast world of 60 million square meters (Bigger than Earth!) which can be sculpted by your very own bare hands.
    The game features very ambient distinct music, which soothes any moment from running away from creeper in a mineshaft or just building your house to survive the first night. What makes this game special on computer is that it can be run on most modern day computers, ranging from the Intel Pentium laptops to the monster rig you got your grandma to buy you for Christmas to play a 90’s doom sandbox game. You even get the choice to play earlier versions of the game for more compatibility, not mentioning that the game is almost on every platform makes it very easy to get your hands on.
    However, in the recent years Mojang has come up with ideas to possibly make this game any better, but they have somewhat failed to do so. I think the game is complete and needs no further updates. Minecraft doesn’t need anything more to it, and every time they add new features to the game they are making it harder to gain an expanding audience. There also doesn’t need to be a market. Micro transactions are not the way to go. I wouldn’t mind buying the game for extra money to not get irritated by Microsoft’s scheme of an ingame currency to buy skins that has always been free to PC JavaScript version users.
    Overall, I think that Minecraft should not be improved and the game remains a piece of history in the museum of gaming which has changed the perspective of people who don’t see success in game if it doesn’t have ‘intense 4K texture graphic rendering’ and pay attention to the unique features of a game that has different features to the triple A games we have today.    … Expand

    Minecraft is the best game I have ever played. There is endless creativity to be had, and when you get bored of singleplayer, there are thousands of multiplayer servers to play on.

    The 1.0 version of the indie phenomena is still obviously unfinished and flawed in many ways, but it's so easy to forget that when you're building your dream castle, exploring scary caves and vast mountain ranges and having a great time in its blocky world.
