Although King Arthur: Knight's Tale is a fun tactical game, it has it's flaws. The story is rather dark but interesting in it's own way. The cut scenes are great. The graphics are isometric. The cut scenes are great. The graphics are isometric. They are really good but I think the fog messed up a lot of the levels. It often takes too long to load and sometimes corrupt some textures. The combat is fun but it becomes too difficult after level 12. And there is very little way to grind on anything. Which makes a very unbalanced experience around half the game. The music is pretty good too. Great voice acting, but there are latency with them at the beginning of a level. There is a bit too much bugs. I got some game crashes and that happens often after one hour of gameplay (like bad management of the memory ?). I got a lot of frame skipping during transition in levels. I will give the game 62%. I got very frustrated at level 13 trying to advance, and I was on the easiest setting. Also the fact that we can't get out of an area and return to Camelot, was a big annoying factor. Expand

I don't find the tactical balance for this one that interesting, the overall navigation is a bit of an odd mix, but it's by no means a bad game, it's got a huge download for some odd reason, but doesn't deserve to be thrashed for that. Compared to the other tactical games out there, it's alright

Gameplay is too difficult and too long, which makes the game very repetitive and boring. I couldn't finish it even though I tried so hard. Character development is not enough and this makes it impossible to cope with the obstacles that the game puts in front of me. After a point, my desire to continue was completely gone.

A certain repetitiveness in the battle system is broken by the other phase of the game, in which you upgrade your castle and your knights. The game has gone through a lot of delays, but the final product is definitely worth the attention of players of turn-based strategy games and dark fantasy alike. [Issue#319]

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale could easily be considered the definitive King Arthur game and likely among the greatest modern media on the subject, especially since there’s little competition. It’s also a top-notch tactical RPG with an unexpectedly compelling story. The gameplay is solid on all levels, especially if you’re looking for a tactical challenge and love using fancy abilities in battle. My playthrough of King Arthur: Knight’s Tale alone took over 50 hours, so there’s plenty to keep you busy, but you can expect even more bloody adventures to come. The king is dead; long live the (new?) king!

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is basically XCOM in a fantasy setting with a melee-based combat system. Fans of this TBS subgenre will definitely have a good time. It doesn’t elevate the XCOM formula, but in the end, it doesn’t need to.
