Jun 25, 2022King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is basically XCOM in a fantasy setting with a melee-based combat system. Fans of this TBS subgenre will definitely have a good time. It doesn’t elevate the XCOM formula, but in the end, it doesn’t need to.
-
Jun 10, 2022A very dark take on the Arthurian legend capable of generating a splendidly misty atmosphere reeking of Avalon. The story disappoints, however, and while the turn-based combat system is solid, it gets way too repetitive way too fast.
-
May 20, 2022King Arthur: Knight's Tale is a strategy RPG that gets the fantasy of playing as a heavily armored knight exactly right, but it would’ve been a better game if it didn’t pad itself out with so many repetitive battles.

May 2, 2022With King Arthur: Knight's Tale, the studio NeoCore Games fulfills its contract to offer a tactical turn-based game with demanding combat and RPG-inspired progression. Its exciting setting (a mix of dark fantasy and Arthurian legend) allows for multiple epic, dark and dramatic stories to be told. By omitting its classicism and focusing on its successful battles and notable difficulty.
-
Jun 24, 2022A game that looks promising but fails to deliver on its promises. You may give it a chance if necessary improvements are made in the future, but I suggest you to wait a bit more if you don't want to be disappointed.
-
May 4, 2022Bloated, buggy and with its best ideas in the back half, Neocore's grimdark tactical King Arthur spin-off is halfway decent might and magic.
-
May 3, 2022King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is solid point-and-click turn-based action, but players should note that it takes some time to level up due to the lack of a mission replay feature, and a considerable amount of gold being required to enable healing for multiple party members. Diehard tactical fans might be interested in what King Arthur: Knight's Tale has to offer, but newcomers to the genre might wish to cut their teeth elsewhere.
-
May 3, 2022King Arthur: Knight’s Tale scrapes a pass with its decent tactical combat. If it doesn’t improve on its art and spelling, however, it’ll need to see me in my office.

May 9, 2022King Arthur combines the best of XCOM's combat, RPG elements from Diablo, and the morality system of BioWare's games. [Recommended]
-
May 5, 2022A dark RPG-strategy hybrid that's not without its pleasures, but tends towards numb repetition and becomes a slog.

Jan 26, 2021So, praise all around then, and I guess that means you should purchase it immediately, right? Well, maybe not. It took me a fair few restarts to actually make any progress, during which time I suffered a broken camera, broken progression, treasure chests not opening properly, and a few more bushels of assorted Early Access jank. When things did get going, it was generally smooth, but I can’t fully recommend jumping in until the first round of big patches get rolled out. I also had some save issues, and I’m not sure how much this was down to intentional roguelike restrictions, and how much was just bugs and glitches. So, proceed with caution. [Early Access impressions]
