    Immortals of Aveum’s greatest flaw is missing the target in marketing. It may not be the best FPS adventure, but it has a very enjoyable narrative and great (albeit few) full-fledged spell-flinging fights that I couldn’t get enough of.

    Aveum is a world that stands and falls on the power of magic. You will enjoy the magic fights, but you will still miss something. There is no reason to slander the game, it is just not distinctive enough to elbow its way to the forefront among the current top titles.

    Ascendant Studio manages to lay a solid foundation in the magical FPS genre without, however, rising to the heights of the greatest. So much the better for them then, since they are therefore following the same path as their master.

    You know what I'd buy, actually? I'd buy an anthology collection called Tales From Aveum, that has stories about a carpenter who's building a mansion in the shanty town clinging on the sides of a giant bottomless pit, and the bored noble who's a secret magic assassin, and whoever it is who has to train new recruits in arm strength. Make it more focused, pick a lane with your tone, and baby, we'd have a stew going.

    Just because you're developing the game with Unreal Engine 5 doesn't mean you can't optimize it. It's funny that with these ridiculous system requirements you expect the game to sell and play successfully on PC. I'm so tired of AAA game developers who don't care about system requirements and optimization anymore. I won't buy a higher system just because you and your ridiculous game want me to.
