    Immortals of Aveum is in many respects a successful game, but at the same time it does not offer any fresh ideas. Pleasant gameplay contrasts with clichéd and predictable plot, and the game itself is overall a quite forgettable experience.

    Sometimes uncomplicated, silly action and fun is just what you need. And there Immortals of Aveum delivers in buckets and buckets.

    Immortals of Aveum is a very entertaining FPS game that is overshadowed by high system requirements, design problems and bugs. Those who want a decent FPS game with a good story and DOOM/Bulletstorm style gameplay should not miss it.

Its captivating environment, intriguing setting, engaging exploration, and appealing music all contribute to its charm. However, the journey to reach the top ranks is marred by its disappointing framerate, numerous bugs, and the game's tendency to play it overly safe.

The game frequently introduces interesting concepts, but repeatedly fails to capitalise on them, leaving behind an underwhelming mish-mash of underdeveloped mechanics and uninteresting story beats.

    You know what I'd buy, actually? I'd buy an anthology collection called Tales From Aveum, that has stories about a carpenter who's building a mansion in the shanty town clinging on the sides of a giant bottomless pit, and the bored noble who's a secret magic assassin, and whoever it is who has to train new recruits in arm strength. Make it more focused, pick a lane with your tone, and baby, we'd have a stew going.

    Just because you're developing the game with Unreal Engine 5 doesn't mean you can't optimize it. I'm so tired of AAA game developers who don't care about system requirements and optimization anymore. I won't buy a higher system just because you and your ridiculous game want me to.
