    its funny, cute, and the music is hilarious. But you start every dungeon naked, and if your character dies, there is no way to level up his replacement, which makes winning the dungeon you just died on even harder

    TL;DR: Some nice ideas, but not the best implementation.

    The game has a certain charm you can hardly deny - and the general battle mechanics are well-thought. But the game lacks just a little bit in regards to long-term motivation and replayability.

    It really bothers me for example that i can not re-do already done dungeons. The worst thing: At the time i finished the game there were still three class building unbuilt - means i couldn't play three classes. But since you can't re-do done dungeons i would need to grind all the early parts of the game again to test the classes i couldn't test last time. Of course i expect add-ons - especially because the game hardly took 20 hours to complete - but that doesn't really make up for it.

    The game feels a little bit content-starved. The basics are there: For example that some dungeons are a lot easier with certain heroes and item-build-pathes. But to make this one a really good game there needs to be tons of additional content, like a slight character advancement and generally bigger pools of items.

    After about 10 hours of playing you sadly know every item in the game. And if you realize what is really strong, you won't really use other items any more. So every dungeon gets to be repetitive - slaying weaker monsters until you have your items, then go and kill the boss.

    I think this game has the potential to go up to 7, 8 or 9 points - but in its release version, i sadly can't give more than 5 points, although i certainly hope it will see lots of improvement with the upcoming add-ons.

    It's cute, good fun, addictive, but gets old pretty fast.
    Characters aren't that different, as everyone can use the same gear, so you'll probably end up just using one favorite.
    Character level resets with each dungeon run, which makes progressing for unlocks a grind. Not exactly a bad game, but could have used a little more thought. All considered, not worth the 15€ price tag. But

    I think the game is not that great.It looks cute at first, the music is funny and nice but in the end the game is so simplistic that there is nearly no gameplay at all.You build your guild, that basic, not much to do.Adventurerers join the guild, you cant do something with them.The biggest designflaw is for me that the adventurerers will be resetted after every dungeon.What the hell?OhI think the game is not that great.It looks cute at first, the music is funny and nice but in the end the game is so simplistic that there is nearly no gameplay at all.You build your guild, that basic, not much to do.Adventurerers join the guild, you cant do something with them.The biggest designflaw is for me that the adventurerers will be resetted after every dungeon.What the hell?Oh course they die often if you strip your guys from EVERYTHING and let them walk into harder dungeon.This game is nothing more then a puzzlegame.You have to solve some kind of riddle how to get stronger in the dungeon.You get "stronger" with every encounter.But too much is random stuff that can screw you over.You may compare that game to "The darkest dungeon" but come on.Darkest dungeon screws you too thats the only simliarity.

    Conclusion:I thought there is more stretegy involved, instead there is shallow gameplay with cute things on the surface.The cute things will be not so cute after youve seen them for the 20th time.Thats not enough to receommend this game.There are many good games out there on sale, theyll give you more game for your dollar/euro.

    Fun at first. Then you get used to the game and mechanics and they repeat, repeat, repeat. Good Potential but no long term motivation.

    +++ Card Fights
    ++ Neat Gfx
    + Game Idea

    -- Overpriced
    --- Missing long term motivation

    This is the Guild of Dungeoneering, my opinions you are hearing. This review's been quite revering. Is it worth playing? Yes.

    I needed to run a 3rd party app to fix the problem with the game's speed. It should be about 4x faster than it is. The game is a bit short (15-20 hrs) for the price ($15).

    Fans of tower defense or Hearthstone should love it. Gameplay has very little to do with roguelikes: It's casual, you collect upgrades, the levels are non-random, etc etc As I'm sure you know, the overall

    A lot of the times I place some blocks that have no effect on the level, which damages the strategy aspect of the game.

    Tiny and nice rouge-like repetitive dungeon crawler with some tile puzzling and card duel aspects.

    Each dungeon run starts with a naked hero and takes about 5-15 minutes, where you trying to loot a good equipment by a chance through several battles from weak to strong monsters before the final boss in the run. Between runs you can improve start state of the naked hero or getting a more

Between runs you can improve start state of the naked hero or getting a more interesting loot (by spending collected golds).

    Funny fairy songs and joking atmosphere, interesting card duel (for first several hours) with very limited deck-building aspect. The main disadvantage that between runs nothing significant is kept.

    I complete this game in 34 hours and in the last ten hours it seemed to me a little boring in final stage - nothing new, very same card duels (Cartomancer looks a little bit dis-balanced hero).

    The biggest issue with Guild of Dungeoneering is that the gameplay never really evolves. Your deck of cards does grow and you'll get new and better cards, but the overall experience in hour two really is not all that different from hour ten.

    For every “this game is stupid, I’m not playing it ever again” there was “OK, just one more time”. [10/2015, p.62]

    I do wish there was a better deck-building mechanism and it could certainly use more character-progression—anything to lessen the random-numbers game (RNG) and increase player agency. Anything, also, to give it more longevity. Even a multiplayer mode would help give this game more substance. But as a simple pick-up game? It works.
