    Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad game. And the port is decent. Could be better, but still decent. Graphics are really good, and the game runs well on average hardware. Gameplay is the same thing since GTA III. If you have played one, you have played them all, plus or minus certain insignificant    96 metacritic score? Seriously?     Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad game. And the port is decent. Could be better, but still decent.

    Graphics are really good, and the game runs well on average hardware.

    Gameplay is the same thing since GTA III. If you have played one, you have played them all, plus or minus certain insignificant things.

    The story is decent, nothing special. Gameplay is boring, you mostly drive around and sometimes shoot things and repeat terrible minigames.

    I suppose kids are enthralled because this game is "like real life", so they find it good, but really, as a game it is mediocre.

    It gets boring fast, and won't keep your interest for long. Shooting mechanics are meh, driving is meh and unrealistic. There is nothing to accomplish in this game. Online is bad and fool of cheaters.

    In the end, if you are not bored to death with the GTA formula, it is worth a playthrough, but seriously, 96 on metacritic? No way, this is a 7-8 game at most. I give it a 0 to balance the bribes.    … Expand

    Removing mods is the worst. Literally unplayable. So much hate coming their way now. They took a beloved game and absolutely ruined it by banning mods.

    Great game, but the publishers are greedy scum that shut down years of work on single player mods for this game and others. Until they revert their decision I can't advise purchasing this game from them.

    All of the negative reviews (including mine) have to do with the installation. I pre-ordered the game on Steam, pre-loaded it with over 300GB of space on my HDD, on the launch date and after installing... IT JUST DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. I've tried every imaginable fix available online. My Windows username has nothing to do with it, the current user account is already an administrator,All of the negative reviews (including mine) have to do with the installation. I've tried every imaginable fix available online. Even those games by Ubisoft on uPlay can at least install and boot up properly on my PC with i7-4710MQ and GTX 860M.

    Steam and RockStar are now pointing fingers at each other for this travesty. I've played this game on the Xbox 360 years ago so my expectations were very high for this PC version. Games don't deserve good reviews if there are issues with merely installing the game.    … Expand

Not only they killed off OpenIV, but now they blame their parent company and claim that OpenIV allows malicious mods to ruin the (already cancerous) GTA Online experience.     I really don't like when online I rob a store and the game does not let me do anything, so I just have to accept the drop in mental while I don't allowed to gain anything in return. Really annoying!

I bought the Steam version, verified installation, messed around with graphics settings, of course I have the new Nvidia drivers, and it still crashes.     I have played this game for 2 hours and the moment I go online some cheater teleports me to him and makes my PC crash. After rejoining I am forced to leave passive mode for the introduction missions. The moment I try to leave and have to wait for the cooldown to end, a bunch of players come and keep killing me again and again for no apparant reason.     they ban you for using mods even on singleplayer. This is totally unacceptable and makes this game not worth buying.     so free on epic, servers are crap buggy as hell, 2 days later i can play second mission dude gets all mad im employ of the month. so i go to do the mission without him...mission fail...what the fu in this day and age to have no choice is stupid. uninstall thankful i payed zero for this game cuz thats what it is.

    The company is obviously fully in their right to remove modding from their product. As far as MP is concerned, I'm actually with them. As far as SP is concerned, this is what I would call slapping the gamers in their faces. The zero is earned for this kind of customer support.

    GTAV was a great game before the developer Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive banned modding with in the PC-community. Bring back the mods! I want to be able to play LCPDFR now and in future! The life cycle of the (future) gta-games is also in danger if this stays banned.

    Rockstar has changed their EULA after selling the game, and is now banning people for modding the game even in single player. Such scam-like behaviour is unbecoming of a company. Modding is a key component of the PC gaming community.

    But let's say truth: It is not good game in many ways. The main problem is with online mode. Sometimes, most of the time, you only see loading screens. You want to join heist? Ok - loading screen, something long? connection dropped? team is full? return home    It's not that i don't like this game.     It is not good game in many ways.

    The main problem is with online mode.
    Sometimes, most of the time, you only see loading screens.
    You want to join heist? Ok - loading screen, something long? connection dropped?
    team is full?
    return home and take a shower... But it's the better option. It can return to exit online mode and after long time of waiting you will end up looking at Franklin, Michael or Trevor.
    Second thing is that there are so many idiods playing this game. I know that it's not R* fault. But they are forcing me sometimes to play in teams where acctualy they are not needed.
    Next thing is low level required for bank heist. Just let's try with some low levels make it on hard mode.
    I didnt see any possibility in interface to kick some one.

    And interface is ugly - it could be enough if it were gra san andreas but take a look at watch dogs!
    There is nice and clean interfaces - not clean black boxes with text.
    Interface isn't even consistent - sometimes there is enough to choose something using arrows and sometimes you need to accept it with return.

    Cars...
    This is something worth buying in this game but not all. I mean a Limo, Heli, Planes - there is acctualy almost no point of buying them.
    I bought a cheap boat and when I call Pegasus I get a random boat!
    And when you call limo, you have to go quite distance to get it... without driver..
    But wait! You have to PAY every time you call Limo, boat or whatever.

    The only reason I got this once good game was for the mods, and now Rockstar are going to be a bunch of pathetic A55Holes and band mods...This is not acceptable, mods are the only reasson I game on the PC and I waited two F***ing years for the PC version.

    I have been playing GTA since the very first one in 1997, when mod tools made by the community were used by the developer to produce GTA London. Without mods, the GTA franchise will never be the same. And RIP Odie

Almost no physics, no weight of cars, AI is terrible but top aimers. Only few missions are interesting, and others are just kind of pointless grind with extremely annoying monologues. I hope GTA 6 will be same garbage, and people finally realize it, like situation with Cyberpunk. Hope greed and laziness will finish this company finally.

    i bought this game for modding, but now thats no longer allowed now, and could get you banned from the game, even if you only play offline with mods. and also that rockstar does this after selling the game to us knowing that many of us bought it to mod the game is a really fkup move by rockstar.

    Car handling is ok, but too light, and this makes driving less exciting. Cops spawn too quickly and are too trigger happy, making cop chases less exciting,, but still not terrible.

    Online is currently a mess as Rockstar has little to no anti-cheat system and no dedicated servers giving modders too much power. Rockstar has some of the worst customer support I have ever experienced in a video game company. They will not address it at all and cheats can even remove reports of cheaters, which is the only option of reporting cheaters. There is a cheater in almost every lobby, and they will freeze you, blow everyone up, god-mode, spawn objects on you, teleport you, lock you out of your vehicle and even crash your game. Players are downloading hacks just to protect themselves now. It has been weeks and Rockstar has yet to address this epidemic.

    If Rockstar fixes the cheating problem then I would give this a 7 or an 8. But, until then it gets a big fat zero.    … Expand

    The main problem I had with the game was how it requires a ton of in-game cash to purchase stuff. If you're not willing to put your own cash into the game it's tough even with the million dollar start I got with my pack. That pack gave me a lot of cars I never use. I use motorcycles unless I absolutely have to use something else. The Zombie Choppers are dogs. I ride the Pegasus Vortex, which has the quickest acceleration rating possible. But the Criminal Enterprise Pack gave an MC clubhouse and a Counterfeit operation. Making it well worth it. The bunker isn't useful for a beginning player and neither is the business office.

    PEople call playing the game "The Grind." Which is grinding for cash. You're constantly grinding. Now "Grind" sounds too much like work. And it is work. I play game for relaxation. I really don't want that much work because working so hard on a game is not fun. There can be unfair glitches and bugs that take away your hard work. I had my counterfeiting operation stocked with cash. AI people came in and stole it. I had worked hard for like 6 hours to build my stock. And they just took it away. It's the kind of thing that makes people quit a game. But somebody has given me some pointers to help me reduce my frustrating work load in this game and I'll roll with it for awhile. But I may be done soon. Because of the repetition. it's the same missions over and over again. There are about 6 or 7 total "Steal Supplies" missions. And they can be excruciating. I was advised to just buy supplies and save myself the trouble. The missions where you report to icons on the map are also highly repetitive. These are the ones in which you play with others against the AI. It's the same missions over and over again.

    When you sell your illegal products you are often expected to take agonizingly slow trucks on long routes over mountains to make 5 delivery stops all over the huge map. You have a time limit. It takes seemingly forever. And all that time the game has your vehicle highlighted in red for players to attack for cash and bonuses. They blow you up, you never finish your deliveries, and you lose your stock. Again, ruining a lot of hard work. There is a flying bike (oppressor) that is so powerful it shouldn't be in the game. it can hover silently near you, you'll look up in time to see it blast you. People whip out their credit cards and win the arms race before you can even get started. There is passive mode but you can't do business in that mode.

    Anyone thinking about buying this game should know it has spectacular action and a large variety of vehicles and business opportunities. But to build anything significant is going to require about 1000 hours of game play. And that's on the low end of what some people do. I saw a player with Rank 1800. I estimate that to require around 25,000 hours of game play. People play it for 5 years. it's a game for the long haul. You won't advance quickly. You must "grind" for a long, long time.    … Expand

    Once Rockstar can patch all these issues which prevent the game from running as intended, I'll re-write this review and most likely give it a 9 or 10/10 review provided they can fix the game and make it run properly.    … Expand

And the lack of support rockstar is giving, and still no fix patch 3 days after launch? and i think the price for the game is low value, its still gta v not 6 or something..

    But, the game is COMPLETELY ruined by hackers constantly steeling your weapons, your cash (paid or earned), and etc. etc. ROCKStar should pull their heads out!!!

    I purchased this game 60% for the online mode - but it's totally a waste of time.

    It's too difficult to actually play/enjoy the online mode.
    Why?
    Party gathering takes a lot of time.
    Matchmaking, to call it so, is very poor - You get in party/team with players of very different levels, different languages and it makes it very difficult for you to have a good social and team-play experience to actually finish the hesit after a long wait to finally start playing the speific mission.

    Not to add what I find the worst part ever:
    People spent real money to buy GTA Shark cards for money.
    ROCKSTAR, have you noticed that on every single server there is at any hour at least 1 guy which does spawns instant kills to every player on the map or spawns money? A friend of mine got 25.000.000$ at level 5.
    That is awesome for him, but what about your customers? Is this fair? He was not banned, nor the hacker nor any other hackers I ever heard of being banned.
    Seriously, you add money to be purchased for real money but you let hackers to spawn endless bags of 40K randomly.

    So therefore, not to mention that the hackers do teleport / instant kill / spawn money - they ruin even the online freeroam.

    I also want to mention another downside for the GTA: Online, which is: no animals. Seriously, why?

    So in the end, Rockstar should either improve the online like 110% - or refund all the customer that purchased Shark Cards for money.
    Also refund me and all the users that paid for the game 50% of the price - Online is unplayable and NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
    As an advice, you can at least create role playing games of 100/200 people and add a chance of role-playing.
    As the unofficial SA:MP mode - it would be way better.

    In the meanwhile I can only add as a big fan of all the series and customer of all series even on the mobile, that this game actually worths a torrent download - don't waste money for it.
    Rockstar does not give a "F" about its customers and scam people by making them buy online money cards while they leave hackers spamming bags of money and instant killing players. No admin/Game Master nor Anti-Cheat system.

    Hello there my name is Loucas I’m doing this review to give my opinion about the game Grand Theft Auto v also known as Gta 5 I have completed this games campaign multiple times. This game ls about 3 characters, one as a retired bank robber, a street thug and finally a crazy psychopath. I play this game almost every day because it’s such an amazing game. This game ls about 3 characters, one as a retired bank robber, a street thug and finally a crazy psychopath. I play this game almost every day because it’s such an amazing game. I like a lot of things on the game like the story, it gives so much detail in the background by giving the game so much history about the characters past and how we get to play as them in the past. Another thing that I like is the gameplay, I think the gameplay is at the moment one of the best games out there because of the extraordinary pixelated graphics. I also love how the game starts with the introduction by robbing a bank and getting chased by the police. I also love about how easy and interesting the game gets, and then wanting to play more and more as you process through the game. I also like how the game has different ways to play the game and different endings that you can choose on your own

    If you hadn’t had a chance to play it yet at all though, and your computer can handle it, the PC version does definitely feel like the definitive version.

    Rockstar promised that the PC edition of GTA V would be the best way to experience this breathtaking game, and that’s exactly what it is. [06/2015, p.48]

    We could not expect a better PC port PC for Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar North, offers right from day one a huge game in optimized, widely scalable, and high impact graphics and the video editor, although not so easy to use, is an enjoyable addition.
