    Hardly works, absolutely soul-less tactless remake with zero effort spent in retaining the feel or care of the original. Bland lifeless upscale textures devoid of any detail. This game literally looks worse than the PS2 version running on Android.

    Rockstar did it again... Just pure dissapointment. This is a mock to the original trilogy fans, this is an insult to everybody's childhood. This game is a joke. Grove Street Games literally just copypasted GTA 10th Anniversary into Unreal Engine. I'm disgusted with the laziness that surrounds them. The games aren't bad, but they aren't bad because the gameplay of the three, and the storyRockstar did it again... Just pure dissapointment. Esto es un remasterizado de 60€ que tiene peores gráficos incluso que los propio mods GRATUIDO de la comunidad; no solo eso, los bugs son impresionante, además que en cualquier momento puedes atravesar el mapa. Esto es injugable y una estafa. No lo recomiendo para nada; mejor descargar las versiones originales y si deseáis mejores gráficos añadirle un mod.

    Vale he seguido jugando y he encontrado cosas a un peor; HASTA SE LES HA OLVIDADO AÑADIR LAS TEXTURAS DE UN PUESTE; y no solo eso sino que además hay audios de personajes que ni siquiera se ollen.    … Expand

    At which point I asked and got a refund from rockstar. Honestly it's a 0, and here is why I experienced: Game breaking bugs. Frame rate issues. Audio issues. Graphics issues. Falling into or through the map. Random crashes. A broken continue    This game is pure rubish. I played vice city for 20 hours I tried my best before hitting a mission with a game breaking bug in it.

    At which point I asked and got a refund from rockstar.

    Honestly it's a 0, and here is why I experienced:

    Game breaking bugs.
    Frame rate issues.
    Audio issues.
    Graphics issues.
    Falling into or through the map.
    Random crashes.
    A broken continue system that just takes you to the start of you die in a mission (not what it was sold as)
    3 days where i could Not play the game I bought!!!

    На-минуточку, моды из 2014 года способны были делать картинку в игре лучше чем это вышло у легендарной компании с бюджетом в миллионы долларов. "А как же графика??!!" - Да, она лучше, но одновременно и не очень. Начнем с того, что это заслуга "Урины энджин", и разрабы не так сильно и потели над УлУчШеНиЕм. Они умудрились увеличить дальность прорисовки, а про лоды.... кто такие лоды? Они могли хотябы тумана добавить, а так вся карта будто на ладони, это же элементарно добавить... 21 человек, ну камон, хоть один из них должен знать, что такое туман. А про атмосферу, которая была в оригиналах... лучше помолчать. Ну зато вода классная, такая голубая как рубашка Томми Спагетти ахахахаххах))))
    "Модельки улучшились!!" - Нет, слово улучшились тут ни к чему, в этом случае нужно использовать антоним - УХУДШИЛИСЬ. Че за пластилины ходят? Почему они такие корявые? Почему они так сияют, будто на них масла налили? Кто их бил?
    Они не поменяли звуки в каждой меню гта. Вот почему в меню гта 3 звуки из гта са? То же самое и про Why city. Да и не только звуки, раз уж дело на то пошло....
    Они ее как следует не тестировали, ибо было плевать, насколько я понимаю.

    Я не думаю что эта трилогия столь ужасна как о ней говорят но всё-таки во многих аспектах она даже ХУЖЕ оригиналов

    Also if you want proof just how little the company cares, look up grove street games, the scumbag CEO is denying that they did anything wrong, talking crap all over the internet acting like ALL the criticisms are simply untrue and that he created a "masterpiece". The company does not deserve your money

    Disgraceful is the best way to describe this. Taking old games polishing them up and then reselling the same existing product for easy money is not a new concept, but rockstar but in zero effort into this.

    1:It was made by a mobile company which right off the bat tells you it never even had the potential to be good.

    2: They somehow took games that were originally released as far back as 2001 and made them look *worse* than they already did. The original GTA 3 had more detailed models for everything, people, vehicles, buildings, weapons and clothing than this "remaster" has

    3: Bugs bugs bugs, these "remasters" take existing assets and supposedly "improve" them with more modern technology yet somehow the god awful company behind this not only left ever existing bug in the games but also managed to create roughly 15,000 new ones. evidently there was zero play testing done on this game. You genuinelly cannot play for more than 90 seconds without encountering at least 5 seperate bugs.

    All in all this is both a joke and a spit in the face of customers. These games are iconic:
    GTA 3 was the first 3d sandbox game of its genre, it literally changed the landscape for all games to come after it.
    Vice city is not as recognized as 3 or SA but it holds its own place, it took what GTA 3 started and expanded on it
    San andreas is the most legendary thing rockstar has ever created, this is without a doubt where GTA peaked. The customisation, the weight gain/loss, the ability to learn different fighting styles, the car customisation, the gang recrtuiment mechanics, the dates, the eating/drinking. San andreas encapsulated everything that makes GTA fun and ran with it.

    These remasters are so bad they urinate over the memory and legacy of these 3 games. If they had been remastered with a single shred of integrity then it could be a different story, iconic games remastered somewhat to modern standards could and should have been an easy way for rockstar both to make huge profit and to regain some popularity since their reputation has been waning thanks to their laziness of shilling the most boring gta (V) for almost a full decade without anything new.    … Expand

Во многом всё оставили так, как было в оригиналах, например, шрифты, которые в некоторых местах сплющены, видно, что шрифты делались для соотношения 4:3, а не 16:9. Автосохранения, конечно, есть, но в очень редких местах. Игры вообще не осовременили.Поиграл во все 3 игры примерно по 1 часу в каждую. Графон дерьмо. Бывали микрофризы.     Either keep the atmosphere that made the original great OR actually improve on the gameplay to bring it to modern day gaming for a new experiece. They did neither, and everything but the draw distance looks worse like storms or lighting.

    Nedoporučuji v žádném případě, vypadalo to velice slibně, ale bohužel.. Hodně bugů, postavy vypadají nepoveděně, grafické glitche, míň radio stanic, celkový pocit,prostě to zabíjí to staré dobré gta. Doporučuji si do starých her stáhnout pár módu budete mít tak 10x lepší výsledek než je remaster. Je mi toho doopravdy líto rockstar mé poprvé zklamal..

    Trylogia GTA "definitywna" jest definitywnie słaba. Dobrze, że tego nie kupiłem bo bym stracił z ponad 200 zł. Stara trylogia jest miliard razy lepsza od definitywnie słabej.

    Я даже молчу про саму графику,освещение дождь,отражение и т.д.Даже баги не могут убрать,стыд и позор рокстарам за такую бесстыдное отношение к своим играм.Страшно очень страшно что они сделают с ГТА 6.Может так же отдадут какой-то странной компании ее разрабатывать?     Huge dissapointment. I feel cheated how this game looks and because of missing songs. I played mostly VC, but also III and SA just to compare. All three are buggy. Models are terrible. Fan mods were better than this.
    Seriously dont buy it and donate 10% of the price for animal shelter.

    Return the original versions maden by _really_ talented devs back! And mods too.

    A trash remaster made by some low Asian studios, Rockstar just took the credits. They don't even used their own engine, they remastered the game in Unreal Engine, how silly, but they know how to take your money.

    Remastering 20 years old games that have a lots of very good mod-remastered ? In general,This is a too bad idea ... also the remaster is not from rockstar game studios but the grove street games...and it seems rockstar didn't test it at all... still this title priced 60$, this is too ridiculous.

    YES it gets many graphic updates (b.c. of UE4), but cmon, remastered GTA3 runs on my PC in high graphic preset IN 50 FPS when i had 80 fps in RDR2 at the same preset. Optimization RUINED. Instead of adding/fixing things that must be added/fixed in original games, they just    CLEARLY worst remaster i've ever seen

    I've beaten GTA III and gotten half way through Vice City. Stopped for the night, came back today, and now the games are no longer in my library. "Offline Mode: Could not establish connection" Since Rockstar's launcher is down they've disallowed me from playing SINGLEPLAYER games, but pirates, in the meanwhile, are playing the definitive 'definitive edition'. Not to mention the blinding rain effects, the poorly rigged models, the endless typos. I'd say you should buy the original games instead, but Rockstar have taken them all off the stores. You can't even buy them anymore. The shameless cash grab of this trilogy is simply embarrassing. I'd give it a 3 IF I COULD ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAMES, but since I can't even launch them anymore I'm giving this what it deserves: a 0/10 for literally unplayable. I feel like I've been mugged, but I guess that's par for the course with modern day Rockstar.
    EDIT: I forgot to add, the games struggle to keep 60 fps on a 3080Ti. How do you manage to port TWO DECADE old games so poorly? The graphical 'upgrades' in no way justify this kind of performance.
    2nd EDIT: Apparently they've temporarily revoked ownership for everyone who paid $60 for this hot mess, so it seems my claim of mugging was spot on. Everything about this "remaster" is emblematic of the failings of the video game industry. What a joke.    … Expand

    No wonder they took down many fan mods. You can download them for the original games and it’ll be much better experience than THIS. You won’t have character models that were made in The Sims editor, sometimes completely different from what they used to be. Just look at Tommy’s model, remastered by fans, and then at what we have in this “definitive” edition…

    You won’t have bugs that have been in the game since mobile release, I mean, how could you not fix them for 7+ years?! How could you fly a plane in SA, see the whole map - all 3 cities, forests and deserts - and think like “this is how it’s supposed to be”?
    The rain looks disgusting. It’s just milk that doesn’t even render on water.
    It feels like they didn’t care about the quality and wanted to release it ASAP.

    Absolutely disgusting remaster. Cyberpunk looks like polished art compared to this trilogy. Full of bugs, terrible looking characters, bad graphic and performance. You can't buy legally classic editions of thoose game becouse of this cash grab. Shame on you Rockstar. San Andreas Definitive Edition is not worth to play even on gamepass. 0/10

    The game has lots of visual bugs and system requirements are way too high for the performance it gives. even a simple mod could make them more beautiful and realistic than what it is now(and they are free) not to mention that most of these mods are less that 5GB .It just simply doesn't worth the money you pay for it

    Let's talk first about their graphical improvement. The games indeed look "cool", with loads of lights, and Vice City in my opinion looking to be the best    According to Rockstar, GTA: The Trilogy features “across-the-board upgrades” including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while “still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals”.

    Let's talk first about their graphical improvement. The games indeed look "cool", with loads of lights, and Vice City in my opinion looking to be the best remaster. But, at the same time, there are lots of typos on store fronts, one characater in San Andreas has the number of his shirt changed while you can still see the old one below it. The NPCS in Vice City look stunning, the new Tommy Vercetti model actually does fit the overall graphical style. In San Andreas however, the HUD icons look absolutely putrid, and most characters are unfinished, something that is not acceptable at this day and age, specially for a hefty price tag of $59.99. GTA III remaster feels like no improvement at all, the shaders look very dark, almost impossible to tell what indeed changed.

    And then comes the really important part of any game, the gameplay and performance. And both are absolutely horrible. The animations are clunky, the aiming is painful, driving is garbage. The UI for clothing and weapons store are the same as decades ago. Even worse is the performance, the abuse of lights with no pre-rendered textures, ruins the entire driving experience, as you have constant stuttering along your way, and combat in those areas with many lights along with the painful aiming and mechanics make it very unpleasant to play.

    Putting the graphics aside, there is nothing that would make you really play the remastered edition. Why suffer from all of the performance issues and clunky controls, just to play with nicer graphics? There would be more enjoyment by playing the originals instead. Rockstar knowing this would happen, pulled the originals from all stores, while also taking down many graphical mprovement mods. It is their right?Yes, but it just shows how afraid they are if people could have a better experience with their old games, then people wouldn't buy their new remastered editions.

    At this point I can't recommend anyone to buy this, specially for $59.99. This would be barely acceptable at $19.99, but still is unplayable.    … Expand

    I was expecting some way better than this. The pc version is a disaster. A lot of bugs and crashes. What the hell did them do? The scenario is nice, nothing so amazing, but the character it is a big joke. It´s stupid what they did with the characters. Long story short, I´m very disappointed.

After milking GTA 5 incessantly and irritating the whole fan base of the GTA franchise, Rockstar managed to not disappoint in disappointing by releasing games that look unfinished with hundreds of bugs and outdated mechanics. VisualSomething was fishy about Rockstar not releasing any gameplay footage, but still I didn't care and pre-ordered the game. What a big regret and disappointment.     Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
