Jan 12, 2019Piece of art. One of the most original and best 2D platformers out there. Soundtrack is also excellent.

Apr 8, 2019Absolutely wonderful. Inf your like games like Inside, this is one of the best of its kind. I was constantly taking screenshots as the art is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and get this little gem. I wish it was much much much longer. I wanted to last hours. I beat it in less than two. The ride is short but sweet.

Jun 12, 2021One of my favorite LIMBO-like game, so to speak.
► I like the atmosphere here, and the art direction and the sound design.
► The interesting idea on gameplay with management of the big machine, and avoidance of mechanics with regular deaths.
► I just love it.
Thank you, teams Okomotive and Mixtvision Games. -

Dec 22, 2020Gorgeous, atmospheric platformer with a masterful soundtrack. This indie game is the best game I've ever played
-
Aug 16, 2020Very calm and fun game I think the music in the game is perfect but I was surprised that the game is so short.

Mar 29, 2022There is nothing special about this game (other than the music), but what it does works almost perfectly. Sometimes it's better to do what you can do well than to jump over your head, as in almost all modern games. A wonderful adventure.

Feb 17, 2022this is a great game. This game is different and I have not seen a work like this game. I can not wait for the next version of the goodness of the game. game play 5/5 graphic and art 5/5

Mar 12, 2022Far lone sails is a game with more atmosphere than the surface of Venus, The game itself is simple repetitive yet somehow good i especially like the part where the music cuts out for 10~ mins to build the atmosphere. The game is great if not pricey my advice. Buy on sale

May 23, 2018The meditative journey to the unknown destination. The sound and visuals are truly beautiful, so is the overall design. The game is short but still became one of my favorites.

May 21, 2018very good indie game, it's a game like limbo, and the game have a great potential for maybe, a

May 18, 2018Great game, an incredible adventure that accompanies a great soundtrack, a discovery in steam ...
-
May 19, 2018This game is having a soul. Loved it form the first minutes of gameplay. I didn't even notice how I passed it. Can't wait for Far Lone Sails 2 ,without any changes cause this game is perfect, but with the continuation of the story.
-
May 15, 2022It`s short, however it tells a story you will never forget & at the end most people ask for more. Hopefully there is a sequel. Great story in a rather unique setting. There is only one disadvantage - there are only few pictures that describe LOR of this game.
-
Jun 11, 2023A lovely little game. Manage your craft as you enjoy some beautiful scenery, complete some simple puzzles, and travel FAR. Visuals raging from rather pretty to fairly dark and grim looking and some nice music to go with it.
The main con I would provide is that at $15 and only 3hrs of (not-very-replayable) game, waiting for a discount would be the way to go. -
Apr 22, 2023I love me a good journey that takes me from the stressfull life that i have and put me into a chill atmosphere.

Jan 2, 2019I avoided Far for much of the year, thinking it was another bog-standard indie exercise in gloom and ambiguousness. I was delighted to instead discover something beautiful, unpretentious and even hopeful. Don’t make the mistake that I almost did.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Dec 31, 2018Easier to understand than Dark Train, a more soothing Inside. A steam sailboat hurries through the wilderness, and you switch between admiring wonderful visuals and keeping the machine running. [Issue#288]

Dec 11, 2018FAR: Lone Sails is an emotive trip through a dying, yet beautiful world. It's a journey that doesn't last for long, and whose low replay value makes it hard to come back to it... and yet it's also one that's hard to let go once you start it. Fans of such games are definitely advised to give it a go - oh, and don't wait for a discount because its worthy of its price tag as it is.
