Not anymore. Patch 1.1 gutted every build and slowed the game down to a grinding halt. Less damage, reduced stat numbers on items, more garbage stats, less exp for monster kills, less cooldown reduction so combat encounters last longer, less rewards from helltides, less item drops from elite kills, less survivability, just to name a few of the changes. And of course, no QoL improvements and nothing that the game was sorely lacking besides a few bug fixes.

Blizzard see what the community asks for, do the exact opposite, and then do a fireside chat to justify it with "our developers have a vision". F*** off. Uninstalled. I might come back when you patch the fun back into your game.

I really tried to like this game.
Ive been watching pre- and reviews in which they said "It's like diablo 3 just better" so I didn't wait, like planned, till the season starts. I bought it to launch.
Oh boy, were the outlets wrong and oh boy have I been stupid. Yes the game is just like Diablo 3 but better… Like a slightly better launchversion of Diablo 3. Diablo 4 is a tedious slog.

Diablo 4 is a tedious slog. The story is quiet nice, if you like it.
But besights of that it is nothing else than a collection of boring chores.
I am especially annoyed by Activision Blizzards behavior.
They nerfed everything for the first week.
All the dungeons which you could use to level up were literally obliterated.
Sorry for heaving fun in dungeons with high mop density.
Then finally they said it's now time for buffs.
And they came and were actually good…. Until they took everything away from us, just to stretch game time.
I don't even talk about the class nerfs.
It's about the stats and the experience…
The worst it that they did not even publish every change.
They kept so many changes in secret, it is just embarrassing
Would love to get a refund for this game but sadly this is not possible..

This game started out okay, but it seemed like it was in a promising state to be improved upon over time. But this is Blizzard.

Despite bugs, an unfinished and badly written linear story that's only intended to slow down leveling, a prewritten fake username submitted Q&A for a dev stream, and highly requested improvements from the start, people were wrongfully comfortable with the problems described below before they worsened, and were excited for a new Diablo game (even comparing how good the release was to how terrible D3 was).

This game caught the attention of most of my friends that play games. Over 90% of my friends list (casual gamers and hardcore gamers alike) were playing it consistently each night for the first month, which is rare considering limited free time and how many new games there are to choose from.

Besides what was mentioned above, terrible itemization, lack of common sense quality of life implementation or social features, and over-the-top conditional affixes were main complaints and have been mostly ignored or shelved for empty promises to be added 4-6 months from now, when exploits caused from their patches are fixed within hours.

The problems and worsening of gameplay have only grown larger over time due to unfixed broken builds (and a month-long blinding blight animation bug on necromancer that made partying with them undesirable), skills being nerfed or gutted to the point where they're unquestionably useless or outright removed from classes, a loot table that drops majority of items intended for people 20-30 levels lower than your current level, level caps, enemy density reductions, reduction of xp earned, increase of cooldown reductions, reduction of the main aspects that determine damage, and nerfing damage and damage reduction while buffing enemy damage in game-wide patches to "compensate for powerful" seasonal mechanics that don't equally empower players (especially nonseasonal characters that can't access seasonal mechanics, rendering all nonseasonal players' build options completely useless).

Resistances to elements were added and even expanded on items and aspects, but they admitted that it's completely broken and would not resist anything by the time you have died, and fixing this problem was stated to take multiple seasons to resolve.

Before the 1.1 patch, Lvl 120 bosses in nightmare dungeons were easier to kill than the Lvl 100 "pinnacle boss", and now they're both out of the question.

Hardcore mode was already out of the question due to bugs and server problems that could delete your character without any fault of the player.

This only shows that Blizzard believes unneeded intentional slowdowns, limits of stash tabs, more limitation on viable builds for a game that has a higher complexity of possible builds, and inconveniences are more important to prevent players from having fun while slowly grinding the same 30 dungeons monotonously from lvl 50 to lvl 100 for an endgame that does not exist.

It seems like a team of people that don't play the game at all have completely ignored all feedback while lying that they were paying attention to feedback, instead looking at spreadsheets to find and remove the most popular meta mechanics that their development choices shoehorned players to gravitate towards without making anything viable to choose to play, not to mention completely gutting any capability to play or enjoy Sorcerer class MULTIPLE TIMES. The balancing team is not creating balance, they're making the game unbearable to enjoy across all classes and builds.

Despite experiencing all of Blizzard's previous terrible games, I made an exception to purchase this game due to the baseline of quality they presented during multiple beta tests and preseason gameplay, but Blizzard does not value the time and money spent, feedback, or enjoyment of its customers.

My friends that played this game every day for the first month were excited for Season 1, but since the latest patch notes have already stated they've lost hope and have moved on to other games, and the game's reddit is on fire.

I'm not hopeful for the "campfire" dev stream that is scheduled one day after the new season starts with these new changes, and I'm moving on to indie games from passionate developers that listen to their customers' feedback rather than spoonfeed "this is what's good for you" decisions.

The new state of this game further cements the fact that current and future game quality from AAA developers will continue to decline due to leadership that have no interest or passion in gaming besides how quickly it brings money in, and how quickly developers can release a game with depressing alpha quality state.

Blizzard hates its players. Every class is getting nerfed over and over again until the game becomes a ridiculous grind. Sorcerer had the most hate of all. Especially male sorcerer who is forced to wear dresses. The gear was bland an uninteresting. The gear was bland an uninteresting. After level 25 gear which I upgraded to 40 I never tried anything new because there was nothing unique or strong enough to replace them. The most unique items are so rare 99.99999% of players will never see them. Sorc skills were dependant on one skill so every sorc had to run frost nova to inflict vulnerable. That skill just got nerfed by 40% in the most recent patch making sorc utterly useless. Every action taken by the dev is a giant middle finger to the community. Then there’s the writing. It’s absolutely terrible and full of plot holes. For example, one of the strongest NPC’s who defeated a high level demon wanders off at a completely inappropriate time and gets caught on a pillar and he dies. It’s so dumb. The characters are stupid to the point of wilful neglect by the writers. There’s nothing relatable about any of them. The whole game is a giant cat and mouse chase. It’s just irritating and has no redeeming features.

I could discuss so much more of how awful and poorly written this game is but I don’t want to waste any more time on it. They took the best of Diablo 2 and 3 and destroyed it. What a waste of £60. Will never buy from blizzard again. You have been warned!

Played 3 class in the pre-season. A bit repetitive at first but it was fun, doing dungeons with clan members, perfecting your build on the go.
Then the season 1 patch notes came and make leveling take freaking more time and tedious.
More play time does not mean more fun. Game is not respecting player's time.

Patch 1.1.0A ended the game for me and for many others. They really need to play their own game before making such drastic (poor) changes. So many features/QOL/pain points they have not bothered addressing, yet take quick action if there were an exploit/bug which gets hotfixed within an hour. They took a good game that has so much potential and continue to keep ruining it.

Blizzard deploys nonsensical patches that break the underlying mechanics of the game and in doing so ensures that it has no long-term playability. Why would anyone invest time in this game if they're just going to casually break whatever you've built to juice some internal KPI with a complete disregard for whether or not it makes the actual game fun to play?

A world of versatility and power was suddenly replaced with stifling constraints. The once robust Necromancers, Barbarians, Rogues, Sorceresses, and Druids faced crippling nerfs that stripped them of their former glory.

No relief came from the enchantment front either. The mysterious and potent art stayed as costly as ever, draining resources without a hint of mercy. The fiery Helltides, once swift as the wind, now languished at a snail's pace, mocking the determined players with their sluggish currents.

The art of Boosting, once a glorious race to the top, was crushed under the weight of patch 1.1, now resembling an uphill battle in waist-deep snow. The once diverse gameplay was corralled into Nightmare dungeons, where other challenges were reduced to mere whispers in the wind.

Experience bonuses that were once the spoils of defeating mighty adversaries became mere crumbs, a meager 10% of their former glory. The sensation of triumphant victory against higher-level beasts was replaced with a hollow echo of what once was.

The essence of combat, the critical strikes and vulnerability damage, faced the wrath of the patch as well. Slashed by 17% and 40% respectively, they further dimmed the once blinding brilliance of the game's weapons.

Diablo 4 was not a sprint; it was a marathon. But with the arrival of Patch 1.1, the marathon had turned into an endless crawl through a desert of nerfs, each oasis of fun seemingly further away than the last.

But there was no all-powerful Avatar, no master of all classes to rise and restore balance. Instead, a call to arms echoed amongst the players: It's time to speak up, to say 'enough is enough.' It wasn't about persevering silently or accepting the nerfed world; it was about making their voices heard, about standing up for the game they loved. Because when it comes to the games we play, the hope is not just something we give ourselves. It's something we demand from those who hold the reins. This is the true essence of player power.
