    MORALLY bestial + boring and repetitive Game

    - initial Price Scam, cosmetics, Battle Passes, overpriced expansions +maybe more to come(pay2win???)
    -> weaker people+children getting hardcore exploited!!!

    - ALWAYS the same dungeon runs without ITEMIZATION END GAME!!!

    Great story.
    One of the best cinematics I've seen and very good cutscenes. But Gameplay is the most important. As it feels smooth to H&S around - all the balance, builds, skills, paragons, right and wrong way to play. All the progress you can make, all the stuff in end game - all those things are unbalanced and have no proper thought put it. Game with such bad    Beautiful environment.

    Live service rubbish, just play POE if you want grind with a better story. 6 hour story line, horrible graphics, poor cutscenes, and endless pointless grind.

    I have to quit this terrible game after Blizzard's latest fiasco. 142 people abused a bug to get items as rare as winning the lottery and blizzard shrugs and doesn't take the items away. The entire loot system is triviliazed. Great job

    Only good for the first play through. Diablo should be a game with replayability. This game has no replay factor and is not worth the pricetag. Gave it a 1 for the first play through. Already removed it from my PC. I don’t like keeping trash on my desktop.

    Lost interest in the game real quick. There is no real endgame, nothing really to do. Renown system is annoying and feels like a chore. Im done with Blizzard.

    Technically better than Wolcen but i think still Wolcen has better level up system.

    Almost all logic in the game is like praying to Lilith shrines to defeat Lilith. There is so much dumb things in D4. Blizzard really needs good pioneer. Almost every popular Diablo like is better than D4. Most complaints are about level up system.     Most complaints are about level up system. Every level up u're weeker and u need more time to defeat enemy. Lot of minor bosses are much harder than Andariel and other main bosses.

    U can compensate your weakness with very boring loot system. There is also badly designed GUI. Its hard to find some important stats. Lazy players like me - ignore loot system until some lvl when u need to compensate the difference. Every skill at the end looks the same as at beginning. U have to use mostly usless skills and u have not many options to adapt them like in D3. Mount And Blade has better fun with simplicity, and physics if u want to do some simplicity - do the same with world immersion.

    There should be or only mana or just stamina and mana spheres. Skills/ultimates which are using only time for regeneration are too dumb (even in other diablo like game)
    Skill tree with passives is very bad. Passives shouldnt be mixed with skills, but skills should have some tuning options (for example AOE or Single enemy target toggle). I hate ideas when there is for examle every 3-rd of skill effect, but u just shoot. Its very dumb. Too many skill mechanics are like this - totally unreal - like rules for children (u must be naive and agree with some conditions). Please be next time more immersive.

    Only master level tree is some good idea but its only available at end of the game. This way it shouldnt exist.

    Sklills should be learned, and mastered. D2 or Grim Dawn have bad skill system. Even if its bad in GD its way better than this system.

    Story is avarage, world ideas are avarage.

    Gameplay - camera is much too close to player. Its a specially dumb when u fight some shooting boss from edge of the screen, U need to attack from bottom, becouse u see more and next thing, u too often dont see enemy in buildings. U enter the building and the hood is not disappearing. Even if it disappear its very bad when u cant see what u are shooting. Same problems with large pillars. If there is too lot of enemies there is also much harder with this camera and u think - "why its not mount and blade" and game about army vs army. PvE is not immersive and players mostly are the problem to do what do u want or just pause the game and do the poop.

    Only graphics and world is nice, and some multiplayer features. But still in single player i wish to pause game during the fight. It should be an option even online.

    As for me D4 is hopeless game. U create some GoKu OP character which has problems with avarage characters at end of the game. There is also no fun with loot - its to routine and so much unimmersive.    … Expand

Did the writers never hear of "show, don't tell". There's something denigrating about telling an audience that a door's locked when they can see that door, being locked. Or characters summarising what just happened for you, like you're incapable of deducing the story line yourself. And evil characters explaining the evil plot to you which couldn't have been thought of otherwise. Though, Mephisto's lines were pretty nice. I miss Meph.

    - Don't do level scaling.

    - Too many side quests are like "incentivized" exploration. At least have main and side quests somewhat in the same ball park, leave the rest of the region with findables etc. That's fine.

    That being said, not a waste of money but not a good deal either? It's in the middle. Having played all Diablo games from the very first one I can't say this is really Diablo besides all the legalities. Yes it bears the same name, yes it have the same "look" yes it's made by Blizzard but at some point thing evolves so much it loses it's essence for something else. And that's all right but don't presume to think it's the same thing, it's not.    … Expand

    When i think more and more about Diablo 4 i'm coming to one conclusion. How much i want it not to be true, this game is Diablo 3 with way better graphics and some extra activitis. It also have all issues that diablo 3 had plus some new ones.

    Balance doesn't exist even among classes. Level 55 Barbarian easily outdamages level 75 Necro.
    There's no build variety. Each class has only one viable endgame build. Difficulty spike after campaign is insane. On Torment you can be one hit killed by regular mob. Compared to the grand feeling of dropping uniques in D2 - there is no comparison. The story was quite nice, but the game itself lacks so much that I can hardly justifyItemization, which should be the carrot that keeps you running, is a joke.     D1 was one of the first games I‘ve played on PC in the 90s. D2 and D3 were my «I‘m staying home on weekends to play» titles. D4 is the reason to move on: boring. The game is just slow, boring and overall dull. It’s sad, but this is not a Diablo game. One point for the legacy.

For example every Barbar unique is absolut trash and can not be used in the endgame. New Update is a mess.     I'm level 46, did not finish the main quest, and I already feel like I don't want to play anymore.
    - Campaign is boring. - Cross-platform is limiting what can be done on PC - Micro-transactions (goodbye good looking armors unless you pay even more than the initial very high price) - Mob scaling makes it unrewarding    I don't know if it's just me, but this game is just plain old boring.

    This game is super boring, the gameplay makes you sleepy, your character won't get better by leveling up making the core principles of the game useless and I don't like the camera.. This is my first diablo and my last. I am really struggling to understand why people puts so many hours into this nonsense, borring and repetitive mess.

    Let me just talk about the most annoying point, every death in the dungeon is resurrected at the door, and then you have to run such a long way again, this is completely meaningless, it is a waste of player time, the designer's brain Is something wrong?

    As a sorc main the class was already broken. Resistance doesn’t work at all. After this patch they nerfed damage and made the already squishy class even worse. Sorc now is unplayable. They nerfed ex to make the game slower but most of the player base is casuals. I was already struggling to get my freinds to come back for season one and now there is just no way. Their response was deeply disappointing, merely stating that they were aware of the cheaters but opting not to take any action this time, with the possibility of addressing it in the future. This unfair treatment allows their streamer partners and others to retain their unfair advantage throughout the game.     Your characters are slow and weak (ive tried 3 outta 5 before i had to quit this game). If you are really lucky in this game, you only have to backtrack every dungeon twice. (Grab the stone from the one F’ing side of the dungeon, walk back to return it)

    Quality of life is terrible: pets that picked up items are gone, there are no loot filters, vendors/blacksmith in town take ages to reach. The horse isnt much faster than ordinary running. You have to make mules for your first Alt bc lack of inventory space.


    There is just so much more, they really messed up with this one, don’t see it ever becoming better.

    All patchnotes so far have really squeezed out any fun/playability that was left in this game. Season 1 is starting today, this is probably my farewell to Diablo after +- 30 years.    … Expand

    This game has literally no endgame, fundamental defensive mechanics dont work (resistances), Dungeons are boring, with boring quests inside them in order to complete, layouts are trash in most of them, and the gearing and glyph system is very shallow and boring.

    Story is more of the same old stuff; not good, not bad. standard tropes. Ignore the few upvotes saying story is a 20 hour thing - for a player new to the genre it's around 40-50, for a person not trying to rush it should take approximately 30. ((this is now closer to 70-80 due to time increases and inventory issues))

    Audio: Music is good... until you've listened to it for 5 hours. it's good, but it's not good enough to listen on repeat. Other sounds are often out of place, and clash with the other aesthetics in the game.

    Color scheme is better than D3, but still (IMO) not as good as D2. Weirdly, I know too may people who have had "it's too dark" issues while it looks perfectly fine to me. May have been a bug from character choice or manually set to darker contract on their monitors. Main issue is the lack of difference between active things (chests, traps, hidden stashes, etc) and the general background; it doesn't matter how dark or light anything is when everything looks the same (within each area, there are differences between the areas).

    Speaking of bugs... yeah for many people it's basically unplayable. Hardcore is extra unplayable. There's no point in listing them all here as every week there are new ones which break the game in new and (not) fun ways.

    Combat is good for about 5 minutes of every hour. 90% of the time you'll be completely untouchable, then you get a hard CC or one-shot that will kill you and there's no way out of them other than being hyper vigilant with dashes and movement skills. Every class gets at least 1, and every class requires they be used to avoid these oneshots. It's not fun to play for 4 hours, get a bit complacent because everything is too easy (even in World Tier 4), then get oneshot by an off-screen elite.

    Skill-wise it looks interesting, but if you manage to play longer than 40 hours you quickly realize there's only a few actually viable builds (which they keep nerfing), which require specific itemization (which they keep nerfing and have terrible drop rates), which often have a requirement of a specific one or two abilities just because the class can't be reasonably played without them (which often forces players into a singular or "two options" type build for each class); looks like you have options, until you realize you don't.

    Items are often not even worth picking up to check. I can understand dropping lots of loot in a loot game - but it's impossible to enjoy looting even in a looter when nearly everything you find (999 of 1000, literally after level 50) is guaranteed to be completely useless for you and just clog up an inventory system that's already extremely limited. The other 1 you probably didn't pick up, and if not also just wasted 2 hours running back to town to sell (because after the first 30 or so hours there's no point in deconstruction). lose-lose.

    Constant lag issues + server drops for random pop-up maintenance means hardcore is 100% impossible for anyone who isn't getting paid to throw hundreds of hours at the game, and affects normal gameplay (non-hardcore) to the point of constant frustration.

    Shoehorned MMO concepts to "promote multiplayer" then providing no benefit outside of extreme exp grinding to actually do so. Feels like an excuse to make it always online which hurts the solo couch gamers and those with poor internet connections. ((multiplayer exp was further nerfed; multiplayer is just a hindrance now)).

    Even the updates don't make sense. it was already shown that average casual players would never reach level 100, many aren't even making it to 50. The response? tune the experience down and further nerf literally everything that made all the builds reasonable to play. Nothing but further slowing down progression and game pacing, while at the same time making everyone weaker (actually weaker, not just feeling weaker) regardless of what class or build they may be using.

    It's better than some games... so i'll give it a 2 but I really must say I have trouble believing the "good" reviews made in the last 3 weeks are anything but bots or multi-accounts for score bumping. maybe fanbois. Either way research before buying - this is not the previous Diablo titles. ((not anymore. just avoid it. Barbie Horse Adventure has more action))

This allows their streamer partners and whoever else they are protecting to retain godlike items for the remainder of the game. Developers seem very out of touch with the current arpg genre - everything is developed with battle passes in mind and it shows. it completely ruins the immersion and the game lacks any depth whatsoever. Have no idea how the critic reviews have gotten away with being so dishonest about the state of the game, rumour has it they were paid indirectly by Blizzard to help increase sales? I started of as a Druid, leveling was fine as i hit lvl 50 and was done with the campaign i started to farm Dungeons and Nightmare Dungeons. As of right now i got 12 uniques 6 of them are hunter's zenith, 3 Frostburn, 2 Mother's Embrace, 1 ‍Insatiable Fury all of those items except one i could use so i switched build because i got one of the items needed. I did 80 Nightmare Dungeons Tier 24,25,26 and i didnt get one of the needed uniques.… Expand

    They managed to do the impossible, with their latest patch 1.1. Removed the Action in ARPG, and turned in into a mobile game grind fest. Don't waste your time with this.

But it is ruined with microtransactions, battle passes, and grind-fest nonsense. Pay for a battle pass, then grind hard to earn something that is just sort of ok?     Unfortunately, the game is plagued with terrible design choices like almost no stash space and very long cooldowns on all abilities (often 20+ seconds). The game doesn't incorporate basic ARPG features like stash search either, which even the indie games have.     To top it all off, my favorite class, Sorcerer, has been very weak since the game released, but was hit by huge nerfs on top of already being bad with patch 1.1 (which was full of other bad changes). If I knew they would basically rug pull the game after the server slam, I wouldn't have gotten the game. I still have some hope that they will fix a lot of the issues in the future, but this rating must reflect the current state of the game. I would wait for future patches before playing this game.

It's pretty decent, though not nearly as good as I would have expected considering the franchise and how much development time was put in. Perhaps downright volatile. You could have the best PC, and the best internet connection, and it still would not be surprising to encounter such bad lag and rubberbanding that your character gets killed by things that weren't even on your screen. But rest assured, there's also a chance that you won't even be able to login to experience this horrible server performance.

    Tedious and boring with a predictable main story. Then they nerfed the base game into the ground to make it less appealing, imo, so that people will play seasons and buy the battle pass. The art and sound design is pretty good. So I'll give it a 2 for those two things alone.

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
