May 15, 2012Pay to win and always online DRM, two things I do no support. Shame on Activision and Blizzard entertainment for making this an industry standard.
-
May 15, 2012Payed for this game 1 year in advance. I´ve seen many blizzard server problems, but given the time this gave was in the making and with all the prepurchases sold. Not being able to play diablo 3 on launch after such heavy advertisement is just **** ridiculous.

May 20, 2012Wow, just went to play. Played 2 mins and BAM server maintenance. WTF? Thats why people hate always online DRM. You want to play single player BUT CAN'T. Blizzard sucks. Only dumb fanboys will vote positive on this piece of broken ****

May 20, 2012They make us wait 10 years!? only to produce this hollow sover-simplified piece of crap, it doesn't compare to the 2nd game and they brought it out in only a few years. All they had to do was take the Diablo 2 engine update the graphics a little, write the finish for the story and it would have been Game of the year 2005. Always-online DRM is not an option for me, with my horrible isp.

Aug 1, 2012A lot of money was spent on this 'Arcade RPG' and 0 is an unplayable mess and I rate this game a 0 because:
Most Clicked this game is playable one hand with your eyes closed. This is a Zero because it isn't a game.
It is an experiment. A meta test on gold selling, auctions worth real money, and loot grinding. Please don't let games become Casinos online RPG.... -
Jul 2, 2012This game is really mediocre. The mandatory connection to play is a rape. Game play wise is a dumbed down version on Diablo 2. RMAH is a joke too. Stay away from this game.

Jul 24, 2012Got to say, massive WoW and SWToR fan, love Mass Effect, Dark Souls, SkyRim etc, so massive RPG type fan.
This game is just click the left button at baddies, no skill required bug ridden game, GFX are dull, gameplay is so basic, it predates pong. Quite shocked how well rated by the real critics this game is. -
May 20, 2012Assuming you could play the game problem free its probably worth an 8, but the fact I can not play it, and as yet have been unable to maintain a solid connection due to Blizzards servers being overloaded and underprepared makes the 8 irrelevent, I officially give this game a 1 because its unplayable which by definition means its a bad game.

May 15, 2012Humongous disappointment. Too much crap to take. Servers are constantly offline. You have to be online to play single player! Not to mention the faults at the game system compared to Diablo 2. I just cancelled WoW subscription from Blizzard and won't buy anything else if they don't fix it.
-
Jun 11, 2012This is a very bad game and doesnt deserve the name Diablo. Story is really bad. No skills and attributes. Everyone is playing with the same build and same items. Gameplay is too linear. Game is full of bugs. Itemization is broken. PvP was delayed and i have a feeling its gonna suck. I wasted like over 9000 minutes on skipping boring cutscenes. I wasted 60 euros for that **** game.
-
May 25, 2012lack of skill and stat points, very outstreched gameplay with very little story. it gets really boring to pointlessly walk through caves and dungeons for hours. unbalanced melee and ranged classes. very unbalanced legendary gear(its rarely dropped and rarely useful). only 4 man co-op, no pvp. unbalanced elite packs at higher difficulty(elites are stronger than actual bosses).
-
May 17, 2012With years of experience Blizz couldn't figure out that the massive amounts of people logging in at the same time would cause many problems? Like you didn't know how many people would be trying to sign in on launch day right? rofl
-
May 16, 2012I am not jumping on the hate bandwagon, this is honesty pure and simple. This game, is, the BIGGEST let down, EVER. The DRM in this game has ruined it for me. I can kind of understand Starcraft 2, what being a competitive RTS, so, you need to protect players, but, this is just ridiculous. The game play is incredibly mundane and the environments/textures are bland. Epic EPIC letdown.

May 15, 2012rubbish game, and as per usual blizzard has failed when it comes to server and stress testing. In other words..... PRE ORDER GAME..... CANT EVEN PLAY 2 DAYS LATER
-
May 15, 2012The fact that there is no way to play the game offline and the most horrific launch of a game by one of the industry leaders in massive online games made me give it a negative review. First impression are important in more than one way - the silent treatment that Blizzard/Activision is giving to it's paying player base is shocking. It is truely a sad day for online gaming ....

May 15, 2012Worst thing Blizzard could have done, this game would be really cool if I could play it. The videos look really cool, but all I get is a chance to practice my typing over and over again as my login attempts get rejected by Blizzard's anemic battle.net. Good news, I am adjusting to my new keyboard, so THANKS, BLIZZ!
-
May 15, 2012It looks like a great game, well polished, good graphics, good play style, and good skills.
However, all of that means nothing if you cannot play. Blizzard clearly lost their way once they saw all the preorders come in. Why work when you have all your money up front right? -

May 16, 2012Remember how much fun the first Diablo was? Yeah, this isn't it. It feels like this weird combination of Lego Star Wars and the World of Warcraft character tree. It's boring and repetitive and I'm unhappy that I wasted money on it. I'd be mad about having to be online to play, but I just don't feel like playing it again. Maybe you just can't go back.

May 19, 2012The game is terribly balanced, the difficulty is mostly based on the fact that you cannot zoom out and the monsters attacking you have greater range than the f-ing screen! Engine is terrible, DRM is a joke. I am hugely disappointed.
-
May 20, 2012Problem whit connection in a single player game? ROTFL. If you give a game that requires being online you have to be prepared for that. Blizzard went back in development, and be able to apply solutions from StarCraft 2. Achivments only online, is a sick idea. = 3/10

May 20, 201220/05 and i can't still play on eu server..
this is ridiculous, i have no word for describing it..
Loot sistem sucks, the game is really short but is done well.
the really bad part is the inesistent offline part, we can't play cause the servers are full or cause they are down.. in all this days i had all the time 250 of latency and i die cause all the spike lag.. no word really -
May 20, 2012Game it's not bad, but user experience is near zero especially in Europe where Blizzard just don't care. Also lack of offline gaming is a big drawback

May 20, 2012when I played D3 ,I can't believe that it's a game developed in 2012 , the Graphics looks prety bad, the art style almost let me think it was a Korea game, Completely a different kind art-style of D2

May 30, 2012Terrible game, end game is pointless and broken. The game has been abused from the beginning and a exploited to where a select group have free reign over the entire Auction House. The demand is only getting larger for act 3/4 items, whilst the supply is staying the same because the people who abused/exploited the game in the early stages are the only people who can obtain the gear.

Jun 20, 2012Diablo 3 is an awesome game. It's not your standard RPG but I loved the previous Diablo games and I love this one. The only problem is, I didn't pay for a game that I can't play when I want to play it. I understand the need for DRM, but not allowing for solo play off-line was the worst decision made in the history of gaming. For that, they get a zero. If you can't play it, you can't get rated.

Sep 28, 2012I didn't want to give this game a 0, but... I am just so disappointed. There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. This game was quite possibly the biggest bust of 2012. Perhaps the most overhyped game in almost a decade. Disgusting.

Sep 27, 2012I gave up on Diablo 3, i really dislike the direction that the series moved in with the addition of the auction house, the always online connection needed, and the way they simplified the RPG aspects. I ended up removing it from my hard drive.
-
Sep 28, 2012Diablo 3 is a major disappointment. It is really only 4-6 hours long. Wasted $60. Will not buy anything related to Diablo ever again. This game could be worth it if it were under $10.
-
Oct 28, 2012This is NOT Diablo. The characters sound like arrogant chilldren, the game is COMPLETELY linear, the graphics are too "childish" and lack the dark ambiance of D2 and D1. This game is dumb. It's been 5 months since its launch and we still don't have PVP. Things just get nerfed. I want D2.
-
Nov 26, 2012For 60 $ Its not worth it one bit.....get Torchlight 2 for the fraction of the price. I expected way more from blizzard....it had so much potential and the hype was high, i just wonder what happened......
-
Nov 23, 2012Bibotan read ! stupid **** !!!! BIBORAN !!
Unfortunately a disaster. Repetitive and nothing that we haven't seen in other hack and slash games. Good visuals but nothing more. InsÃpid story/background and too little classes. I think that this is a good moment to Blizzard rethink their future plans about Diablo. -
Nov 26, 2012I was extremely disappointed. This is a soul-less Diablo clone. Items are impotent. Characters dull. Story uneventful. There is nothing trippy or even remotely enjoyable. Jay Wilson should be fired and D3 should be totally redone in the expansion, this is an absolute joke of a successor to probably the best game ever made, D2. Dave Brevik, we miss ya buddy.
-
Nov 26, 2012Don't waste your time, get Torchlight 2 or Guild Wars 2. Diablo has been gone since D2. The current team is garbage and so is the game. It's really a shame what has been done to this franchise. I remember being a teen playing the original Diablo, those were the days. D3 has NONE of the depth of D2!
-
Jan 4, 2013This game is one of the perfect examples of proof that "professional" reviews often get paid for high reviews. The consumers who actually buy the game have spoken. Broken balance, horrible story, pay2win, lack of hyped features such as PvP, online DRM causing constant offline servers, terrible lag...I really could go on but you have thousands of ratings that are list them all.

Nov 12, 2013Blizzard got everything wrong when developing Diablo III. Even the graphics do not do the originals justice. The enemies and levels are drab and uninspired. Mini games and creative side quests would have been a welcome addition. The loot sucked and the always on DRM was a disaster. The classes were very "Meh", Path of Exile is far better IMO.

May 20, 2012A typical Blizzard game. This game was hyped so much that it was obvious it would be disappointing in many points. Skills, Story, Graphics, all acceptable nut not nearly as epic as you might think when you look at press' ratings. I would rate it about 83/100, but the server situation, online restriction and Blizzard politics do not deserve even 1 point.

Jul 21, 2012The game doesn't reward you at all. You have to play like 50 hours just to get a decent item you can sell for 20$. This is below the minimum wage in China. Blizzard want to turn their player base into a slave labor, so they can make out like a bandit. This game is work, it's not a game it's work.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
-
Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
