May 16, 2012There is no cow level. Blizzard could do better. I only wanted the cow level. And there is no cow level. Very bad game. Huge disappointment. I was gonna kill some cows and there are no cows in diablo 3. How could they release it without cows?

Sep 10, 2014This is one of the worst games in the last decade. To give you an idea how broken Metacritic review system is: Over 5 thousand people logged into this site to warn you how bad this game is and that doesn't effect the "Metascore" at all. Instead it is currently rated 88 with only 1 negative review, Metascore is a separate reality. I would suggest ignoring it and reading user reviews.`

May 16, 2012so i have to connect b.net to play friends sitting next to me. no lan support is a joke.
unoriginal game dumbed down hack&slash game, wannabe guild wars 2
outshined by its contemporaries like torchlight
blizzard should trust diablo fans to buy original game instead of trying to skin off 10yo kids pockets

May 16, 2012Elitism, absurd hardware specs to run a game at his "full potential", DRM, poor game design and many other issues have almost killed pc gaming. Why should i bother about Diablo 3 when i can get Dark Souls on console?

May 16, 2012Rename the game to World of Warcraft Battlefield Edition and we're set. This game has almost nothing to do with Diablo 1&2 which is a shame... Fans voiced their opinions about this since the first presentations, they made the game for profit not for their fans.

May 16, 2012The same game from 12 years ago, but now you have to deal with the unreliability of the Blizzard servers. If you can get over that the game is one dimensional without any choices along the way besides for run or charge...

May 16, 2012Internet connection to play single player mode????? NO. NO. NO.
If I give you $60 to play your game, I should not have to go online to play it single player.
I do not care about Blizzards 'online economy.' Allow me to opt out of using your economy if I just want to play single player.

May 16, 2012watered down diablo 2 gameplay with prettier graphics. of course, those complaints only apply if you've managed to authenticate with blizzard to play your supposed single player game. but i guess running a real world money auction house for easy profit is much more important than being able to actually play my single player game.

May 16, 2012This game was a massive disappointment. Terrible service from Blizzard, laggy servers, and server shutdowns. Booted out of standard edition because of a "transaction error". Money was not refunded. My excitement regarding this game has hit a rock-bottom. Congratulations Blizzard.

Jun 2, 2012It's the first time in my life I can barely play a single player game because of lag. It's ridiculous. Don't fear rare enemies or million HP bosses. Your unconditional heroes will be victims of lag spikes and you will be unable to avoid them. This is one of the worse game launches I've seen. Ever.

May 16, 2012Terrible game. Awful connection problems have ruined this launch. They should have put more effort into reviving this title. You have got to get launches right!

May 16, 2012No offline mode, errors galore... If this is the future of gaming I'm going to start building model airplanes instead. Torchlight 2 looks 10x better at 1/3 the price.

May 16, 2012I wish I could play and give a decent score, but paying 60$ for a SINGLE-player game and not being able to play it deserves 0. So many errors, can't log-in, can't play, a huge disappointment!!! It is a huge release and Blizzard should be able to estimate the amount of players, server capacity etc!! Returning the game to Amazon with no intentions to buy it in the future.

May 16, 2012got a 'starter key' from a friend. downloaded it and got stuck in 'updating setup files'. fixed it after an hour and then got a 'corrupted data' when the installer ran. started the downloader again and it started from 5% to download the whole game again. i'm so happy that i did not waste 60 bucks on that piece of ****.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.

Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]

Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
