May 15, 2012Ok, I actually signed up for Metacritic just to post my score on how horrible this game is. Avoid at all cost. Not even worth playing if it were $5.
-
May 15, 2012Yes, they deserve it. That's the short answer. The long answer is gonna take me a whole day to write. Even metacritic's 5000 characters limit reviews won't be enough. Diablo III was just a huge series of disappointments.
-
May 15, 2012I hate to give a 0 score to Diablo III, graphics are great, weapons are awesome and a lot of great cinematics. BUT! no offline mode. Seems like it's just Diablo II revamped. Mainly servers keep crashing => if it's online only then have it working before the release! I bought a game now that I can't use when I want then the question is what did I pay for?

May 15, 2012Two nights in a row of trying to log on. Any failure of this magnitude would utterly destroy another game, but since its got the Diablo name, people keep "trusting" that blizzard will deliver. Blizzard is owned by Activision folks. You can't rely on them to deliver anything but something to please the Activision stockholders.
-
May 15, 2012I hope metacritic are not gonna remove these reviews and alter the scores because they get paid by Blizzard for ads. Because this game and Blizzard truly deserve this slap in the face from the community.
-
May 15, 2012They destroyed the game and you cant even play singleplayer cause the servers down. The graphics is really bad. I cant belive this is what they deliver after all that wait.
-
May 15, 2012Good job Blizzard, your servers are down on launch day. How did you know that I like to buy a game and not play it at all? All my dreams have come true.

May 15, 2012This game is too hard. I can't even get past the first login level. Just when I think I've cleared it by beating the Error 37 boss, the Error 75 boss and the Error 3003 boss tag-team me. :(

May 15, 2012Disappointing & pathetic "launch". Make an offline-mode available and things may be better, but as-is ... it's an embarassment to Blizzard. They should be ashamed of their 'best effort'. It's a joke, especially after years and years of "testing". Just give me my pre-order money back Blizzard and all is forgiven.

May 15, 2012I wouldn't mind the DRM if it was actually working... Worst launch ever. Really disappointed. The game itself seems ok, but not great. These guy ruined one of the most enjoyable and profitable franchise of all time.
-
May 15, 2012A huge disappointment, no more skill points to distribute, no more attribute points to distribute, skills unlock automatically as you level up, WoW inspired skills. World PvP removed and the only PvP options is a WoW-clone arena. At the moment it seems I've spent $60 for a wow-clone I can't even play....
-
May 15, 2012This is a single player game. It should not require a server to play. When the servers fail, I cannot play. There is no point to this. It would work fine if there was no client server model. I want my money back.
-
May 15, 2012No offline mode. Servers can't stay up. Activision has destroyed everything that was previously good about Blizzard. Stay away unless you want to be disappointed.
-
May 15, 2012Worst thing Blizzard could have done, this game would be really cool if I could play it. The videos look really cool, but all I get is a chance to practice my typing over and over again as my login attempts get rejected by Blizzard's anemic battle.net. Good news, I am adjusting to my new keyboard, so THANKS, BLIZZ!

May 15, 2012y u no have better severs?

This game isn't all that great. Blizzard not support servers for paying customers is like robbing Helen Keller. -
May 15, 2012Guess what? Bought the game, can't **** play it. Don't know if its good or not, so I'll just give it a 0. Blizzard needs to mature as a company.
-
May 15, 2012It looks like a great game, well polished, good graphics, good play style, and good skills.
However, all of that means nothing if you cannot play. Blizzard clearly lost their way once they saw all the preorders come in. Why work when you have all your money up front right? -

May 15, 2012The DRM is in this game is inexcusable. This launch was a total sham and the fact that they unnecessarily forced single player online is despicable and fueled by pure greed. Activision has ruined a once great game company.
Graphics are outdated.
Music is decent..
Gameplay is a letdown... Not being able to scroll through the skills on the right click is very annoying. -

May 15, 2012My first review gave this game one point because it is technically a game. In fact, I'd like to take that point away. This is not a game. It's a scam.

May 15, 2012I have to agree with 98% of the reviews. Blizzard crashed and burned hard. I'd hate to see an expansion pack for this game. Waste another $60 bucks, still cant play online, still cant play single player. I'd assume go back to Runescape than give this game any credit for being even the slightest bit better.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]

Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
