May 16, 2012Unworthy of the Diablo name. Blizzard has gone way down hill. This is uninspired and unoriginal. Story is the same as the last. Skill system eliminates choice. No offline single player. They are penalizing the customer to save them money from people pirating.

May 16, 2012Myself and my wife paid a total of $120 for this game and have been able to play once thus far for about 45min until they took the server down right before we got to the boss. Don't waste your $

May 17, 2012Oh my god ! This is really a game made by the guys of Blizzard ? Or just a lame game made by an external studio ??? However, if you really liked Diablo 2, don't play to this indignous sequel.

May 17, 2012Its not the expected loot fest because of the way they are now handling stats and there is so much gold laying around its easy to pick up something in the AH that will outshine the loot drops for hours. There is also the fact that it is a single player game suffering from disconnections...it beggers belief.

May 17, 2012Decent play (as expected for a loot-crawler), but the always-connected/internet feature has to go. Patch, please, Blizzard, and let us play without internet.
-
May 17, 2012What is essentially a single player game that forces you to play online. Lame excuses and question dodging on the battle.net D3 forums. Giving it a 1 because of the cow level.

May 17, 2012The need for a constant internet connection and the fact their servers CONTINUE to drop has just disgusted me.
Aside from that, no original content, zero character customization. Absolutely no replay value. If you haven't purchased this game yet, wait until it hits the value bin, you won't have to wait long -

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.

Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]

Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
