    APPARENTLY IF YOU DON'T BUY THE DLC YOU CAN'T DO PRESTIGE RAID, PRESTIGE NIGHTFALL OR TRIALS. Seriously? Wow..... I don't know what to say. I mean especially for the PC Players this seems really unfair, and even for the console players, to be gated out of content they paid for and had access to. Just, wow. So I guess not buying DLC isn't an option anymore.... Extremely dissapointing.

    So after leveling two characters till very end of game (raid phase) I can say that this game is average as it can be. I mean, it can be fun, it can be tricky and frustrating, but all this end with big boredom after you finish all activates available for single player . What else can you do if there is no social mechanism in MMO game?!

    Destiny 2 is a horrible game. It's worse than Destiny 1 and that was hard to do. You have payments in the game as if it were free to play, you can not choose what to play in
    the pvp, very bad dlc (and if you don't buy you can not keep playing) and many other mistakes. Run away from this game, it's just another way for Bungie and Activision to get your money.

    Bungie has a real problem allowing network manipulation in PVP modes. Total cheat to win and it is ridiculous. Only after more money, not better playability. Will not purchase another expansion until they resolve this issue.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have not played Bungie's games since Halo, but if Destiny 2 is anything to tell, I am sorry to see the direction they are going.

    Storytelling-wise: It's bad. It's basically Angry Birds. And nothing wrong with that, but whereas Angry Birds leaves out no open questions, Destiny 2 leaves a lot. You would assume Destiny leaves the plot to be uncovered as you progress in the game, but no. Instead, it just more bad layers to it.

    I have not played the first Destiny, but as this is the first time the title appears on PC, I would have expected an introduction into the series. I think it's safe to assume many others would be in the same boat with me. But instead, the game does not provide anything to make out the story from the first establishment.

    So as far as I know, I am some sort of Jedi, but my powers are drained in the starting cutscene. I am not told what we Jedis do with this power, except kill people. Also, the bad guy has a hostage, but I don't know who the hostage is. As far as I know, he is just another Jedi, but I am not told why I should care.

    Because of the narrow and one-sided introduction to my Jedi powers, I can't even tell why I should hate the bad guy. Even if they destroy stars, I am only given one side of the story here. How do I know I, the protagonist, aren't actually the bad guy here? My Jedi powers are only for killing, after all.

    Throughout the campaign, I am introduced new characters. It's assumed I already know them. That would be fine, but instead like in Witcher 3, I have absolutely no way to read their backstory.

    Gameplay-wise: PvE: You don't benefit from open-world if it's dead. I have yet to find a hidden chest. When it comes to difficulty, as long as you walk, you cant die. You can clear out enemies from a safe distance. The game even incentives you for it, because it's quite efficient. I tried seeing if there's any reason I should rush, such as to skip waves of enemies, but there was not. Progressing in the everlasting tunnels requires you to kill the enemies within.

    PvP: I could not fathom how people are so quick to pick up game mechanics. I got my ass handed to me with the hard to aim, but rewarding, handguns on the first day. The last time I mastered anything like that in a video-game took me months of practice. Then I recalled the game has an aim-assistant, which I had disabled.

    The game is well ported into PC. The game looks great, and I did not assume it to run as smoothly.

    But that does not save the game. **** baked in butter is still ****.

    That being said, I assume there is more to come into this half-baked game in forms of DLC's. But unless the DLC's are outsourced, I would not wait for them. There are many ways to spend your time and money, but unfortunately, Destiny does not offer much for it.    … Expand

    End game is horrible, gearing is horrible. Enemies always scale by your scale so you never feel powerful or never feel the growth. After one month of tedious gameplay you're required to pay more for few more light levels and NO real endgame solution. Skip this garbage game, worst purchase I've ever made in games.

    - very dynamic

    Bad :

    - the solo campaign is in fact a MMO : in each area, events keep repeating, enemies keep appearing in order to gain XP and there are other players in the same area you don't interact with ! If I want to play a MMO, I buy a MMO !

    This game was a disapointment. I was hyped and the game was hyped beyond anything realistic and also game magazines or online journals have rated this game very high (88 here). So I expected a game that is keeping you motivated playing it. The story is weak, linear nothing unpredictable any turn. So a 1st grade could have written the story.

    Also the story is the only thing worth playing in this game, then you may have some fun in getting to highest power level. Thats it then - you are done and nothing left over to do anymore. The loot shooter or in more generic looter concept has been hidden behind paywall and does not make any sense in a looter. You want to find loot and feel rewarded for the grinding. However the game modes does not support this. You do not get anything rewarding from strikes or from PVP or from Raids. So why bother playing it and grinding over the same mission again and again and again? It is just booring and you simply do not get all the outfits and loot and weapon increase you would expect from a looter. So that is where the whole game fails.
    Bungy does make the same mistakes again, that has been done with Diablo3 in the early years - trying to get money out of a looter by putting the main principle within a real money store. That does not work, cause there is no reason to play it anymore.

    Beyond that, ethically questionable to put more then 50% of all items behind a paywall within full price game with DLCs . Also limiting the possiblity to get this items for free in a looter does not make any sense and is pure greed.    … Expand

However, with each closeness, I began to notice that she was pulling her hands to my credit card ... So I realized that this game is not like a girlfriend, but a whore.

    Awsome pve with forsaken and worst pvp i ever play.. match making rank in competive is a joke, you start and you play against players with not forgotten (hand cannon you earn when you hit highest rank in competitive)... ALOT of hackers ( just search destiny 2 aimbot in youtube...) stupid shotgun 1tap you even from 10 feets... in pve the dlc forsaken is a 10/10 to me but the annual passAwsome pve with forsaken and worst pvp i ever play.. match making rank in competive is a joke, you start and you play against players with not forgotten (hand cannon you earn when you hit highest rank in competitive)...     Summarize : A not-so-bad game, but not as fun a Borderlands, not as dynamic as Warframe, and with a so-so story, with really timid MMORPG elements and waaaaayyyys to much grind and RNG.

    First, lets begin by what is good :
    Graphics are awesome, and the game is relatively light. There are a lot of stuff to do in the game, and a lot of Lore to explore.
    The gameplay is dynamic without being too slow, there is some room for coordination between players and the camera switching (from fps to tps) when using certain abilities etc is well made and pleasant. You can feel the inertia of your hits, movements, and yet the gameplay is extremely fluid.
    The build system, event if classes are not really so different from each others, seems at first really limited, but when reaching endgame, becomes really rich and the sum of tiny limited elements permits to do some nice and "original" builds. Every weapon is OK to use un PVE, even if some are better than others.

    Now, let's explain why this game does not have a 10, but only a 2.
    This game has one main issues : the progression system and the skin customization.
    The progression system is a really grindy one, and not really fun grind. You need a "power level" the damages you inflict and you take are representative of the difference of power between you and the PVE opponent. The higher the ratio between yours and his, the higher you will hit and the lower you will get hit.
    When progressing through the story, the required power level increases as well. At first this is not a bother, since you are into the game, and power level, given by your equipment, raises with every loots you get. But once reached the "soft cap", you need to do daily and weekly quests to get power level increasing and access new content. I'm at a point I finished the story of Forsaken, and I want to try the Forge. My power is 585 and the required is 615. Monsters there shred me while I need twice the normal amount of ammo to kill them. And it's frustrating, because it is not a problem of build or skill, only that my numbers are not high enough. Especially since the monsters are always the same since the beginning of the game...
    Another part of the progression system that bother me is the randomness of the loots. There is close to no way to influence what type of loot you want to get, and most of the loots are useless after you reach the soft cap. Weapons and items comes with "perks" on it, changing their abilities, but these are also completely random. So you just have to wait for the right item to come with the right perks.
    The idea is not so bad, because it somewhat forces players to try new weapons. But the reality is that if you like to try lots of builds like in a RPG, you will face a strong deception. As well as the exotic (rarest items possible) items, that are just as random as usual, and most of the time ends up being close to useless, especially because you can only equip two out of 3 weapons and 2 armor pieces.
    The sadest part of this is that the game is extremely rich of achievements and lore, and that none of them are used to get stuff.
    And armors are locked to a character class, so if you want to test all three classes at endgame, you have to do the grind three times somehow...
    Finally, armors are random, the perks on it are randoms, and the appearance as well, so you just can't really choose how you will look unless you are extra lucky. But in this case you should just try gambling instead of playing this game.
    Bonus : part of the gameplay, especially raids, does not have matchmaking and so you have to recruit people via clan or chat, unless you have five others persons playing with you.

    as a conclusion, this game is not bad, even quite good, but is definitely not worth it's price and the price of it's extensions. It can be interesting if you have friends, like 3 or 6, to play with.    … Expand

    If you like to waste you're money on stupid "expansions" that give no real feel of accomplishment then this is the game for you. The "Seasons" give you some gear to grind for, but most of the time you are just spending you're time being stomped by no life people in pvp who have nothing better to do then to waste other people's time.     But if you don't play PVP then the PVE is neat, its kinda dead right now, the season of the drifter doesn't give much to the pure PVE based players since Gambit is the stupidest game mode ever created. **** bring back TRIALSS if you really want to please people. I know a lot of people who took this season off due to lack of anything PVE, and even PVP is lack luster.
    Just take my advice, try if if you want, but if i could take back all the time i have spent in this game and played something different i would, in a heart beat.    … Expand

You get 0 matchaming, pvp mode that is gear dependent in game where there is 0 gear or class balance. You have classes that can sprint and survive 5 headshots and 1 shot melee you, you get one class ult hitting a another in melee for 4 times and still dying 1 shot explosions, you get granade-launcher spawn everywhere.
    On PC.. the game is plagued with aimbots and wallhacks and the devs dont even care... I mean the devs dont even care that in literally 80% of the game there are 1-2 AFK people and leavers... Its sad to say destiny 2 is good game but with PVP being the trash as it is
    And the devs refusing to fix it or stop forcefully locked content behind pvp-rng-grinds (that mandatory for PVE meta, mind you). This game does not deserve you attention, there are way better and loot-shooters out there with devs that actually care - like Warframe, or Borderlands, or even the new Remnant:From the Ashes    … Expand

    Small game world, each planet is tiny.
    Short campaign with not enough endgame content. -2 Days to finish campaign then stuck grinding the same crap over and over.
    One RAID after 2 months being out on consoles and PC.
    Three "strikes" after 2 months being out.
    No gear variety, everyone looks the same and gets the same small pool of legendary and exotic gear. Legendary and Exotic gear are not really legendary or exotic because everyone get them same gear...
    Me and my friends are bored already and it's only been 2 weeks.

    Expansion after 2 months that you have to pay $20 for. NO content in expansion.

    Bungie, please go play Borderlands first before you release more garbage.    … Expand

    Despite far exceeding recommended specs, my experience with Destiny 2 on PC is filled with random freezing then crashes with no error codes. This is the only PC game that I have experienced this on, and Bungie provide no support when seeking assistance.

    I strongly advise potential buyers stay away, until the game is patched and playable.

    i guess if you keep the game with the console peasants it can work (altough barely because even they wised up.) but you bring this to PC? i mean... come on. we have warframe for a lot more entertaining grind, we got csgo/siege/even overwatch for a great fps pvp... i mean this game is like a very very boring, dry, and empty version of borderlands.

    i mean and the whole fps experience is    i guess if you keep the game with the console peasants it can work (altough barely because even they wised up.) but you bring this to PC? i mean... come on. we have warframe for a lot more entertaining grind, we got csgo/siege/even overwatch for a great fps pvp... i mean this game is like a very very boring, dry, and empty version of borderlands.

    I am a sucker, a game junkie, but boy Destiny 2 became boring so fast. It doesn't make me want to OCD grind, maybe I should thank them for that.

    Oh well.

    Maybe the later content will make it better but as it stands at the moment, it is not worth the price at all.

    Probably they will add "INVITE A FRIEND IN YOUR FIRETEAM IN-GAME" as a DLC in some future update....    … Expand

    destiny 2 did everything bad they did destiny 1 and called this piece of **** sequal. Well they are not lying... It's as bad as its predecessor. Don't buy this game or believe those "real" reviewer, they are paid to speak good about this game.

    Boring game which surprisingly is a step down from its predecessor. I put Destiny 1 down after around ~1000 hrs of playtime while this game was dead for me after ~40 hrs. Would recommend to stay away.

    It's like No Man's Sky again. Horrible grindfest. Do not buy this game. Forgettable story, boring planets, same enemies over and over again. The only good thing about this game is the graphics, but again, it reminds me of No Man's Sky on the day it was released.

It offers nothing worth remembering. Its story is basic. Its abilities are dull. Its worlds,Destiny 2 is a game that looks great, sounds great, and feels great, but offers nothing but busywork as gameplay, a hollow imitation of an interesting universe, and an overwhelming amount of potential squandered in favour of its incredibly basic - albeit, again, incredibly nice feeling - gunplay. It offers nothing worth remembering. Its story is basic. Its abilities are dull. Its worlds, while gorgeous, are tiny and feel dead, though not intentionally. It is a pastime at best, and a punishment at worst. Destiny 2's idea of challenge is taking a note from the Division, and simply putting more numbers in their healthbar, and nothing else. And that is beside its microtransaction and season pass nonsense that has become a staple. I am glad I got this for free, or I would have been incredibly embarrassed to know that I had spent money on this.

    If you can have fun with this, good for you. I'm glad. I wish I still had your optimism, but Destiny 2 to me is an excercise in how much you can get away with providing the bare minimum, in order to maximize profits.     -1 month after release they are going to release a DLC. such a thing should be illegal and is plain cash grab nothing more. Couldn't they wait 1 month with the release and add more content to the game?

    -the content of which we speak, where is it? there is very little to do in destiny 2. After youve beaten the campagin you can level up your lightlevel, but wheres the point in that? You don't get stronger by doing that. in fact you even get weaker. I felt much stronger at lightlevel 200 than on lightlevel 300.
    in the first 5 days ive leveld 3 characters to max level and reached lightlevel 300 with them. Thats 1 week of content. there's nothing more to do for me except wait for bungie to add paid DLC into the game

    -PvP theres 2 modes in Destiny 2. Its 4vs4 or 4vs4. Thats right its 2 modes where you play the same thing. Hey maybe the DLC will ad a 4vs4 mode, i think thats missing. Wheres the deathmatch? wheres the big battles with vehicles from destiny 1? it is the most boring pvp game i've ever played

    -Story. If you're into a story that a 12 year old wrote than this game is for you, timetraveling robots, darkness, good vs evil everythings there

    theres alot of small things that make this game unbelievably bad, i wont even list them all but things that show laziness and money grabing
    -aim assist perks on weapons when theres no aim assist
    -exotic gear that does nothing like the darci sniper and lucky pants
    -no world chat, no chat at all. you cant talk in this online game to strangers. only to people you're in group with
    -there are chests in the game scattered around the world but if you loot them to fast then they'll stop giving you loot.
    -shaders arent reusable

    overall i cant recommend this game in this state nor the state after they release dlcs worth 200$

Even the grind to aquire better gear level is so boring i actually logged out of the game and went downstairs and asked my girlfriend how her day was, she looked at me and asked me if i was feeling well. No, i wasnt feeling well, i felt **** sad.

    This game has so much potential, how about one huge open world, with stories, events, quests for legendary gear, pvp, treasure hunting, constant progression, perks, so many different weapons you could have a loadout not everyone playing the same class as you had. a game that rewards exploring, crafting combining recources with shaders and mods to get armour pieces that were utterly unique, That would be amazing!

    instead i am left with an impression of being scammed, this game promised so much, had so much potential, the game looks gorgeous. Just imagine, if one of the zombies working at bungie had said; guys, lets make this game the mother**** best game open world rpg shooter the world has ever **** seen. Lets make the god damn World of Warcraft of shooters. No, instead they make a theme-park piece of crap that looks golden but has less content then my Instagram DM`s.

    Keeps crashing every 10 min and in 7 hours of gameplay i have only done 12 levels because of this problem. I really wish i could get my money back

    The PvP maps are fairly well designed. You won't find yourself being shot in the back or unable to find cover very often, particularly just as you spawn. The absence of large battles is sorely noted, however.

    The game is plagued by "ultimates," following the model of Overwatch/League of Legends/DotA. Periodically players receive an unreasonable increase to their power, which is supposed to be "fun" and to mix up the gameplay. Thankfully, the ultimates in this game are not quite as frequent nor as powerful as the ones found in Overwatch. Whereas in Overwatch you may find that an unpleasantly large proportion of your deaths are caused by someone's ultimate, and that you are generally powerless against someone using their ultimate, in Destiny 2 you will feel that you still have a fighting chance against most ultimates and consequently they will not amount to a majority of your deaths.

    As for the the game's story, it is an unmitigated disaster. The writing is inexcusable and frankly embarrassing. The villain is not in the least bit compelling, commanding absolutely no respect whatsoever. An attempt was made to make up for what he lacked in character with sheer bulk, with the end result being a sort of fat, alien Bane recycling lazy dialogue about how he is the bad guy.

    The protagonists suffer from a similar flatness of character. Their names are not memorable over the course of the entire campaign, even the "funny robot" who is meant to be the one guy you actually remember. The proliferation of "token minorities" among the cast stands as testament to their absence of value as narrative vehicles.

    The abundance of cutscenes during the campaign is painful, particularly when considering their high-budget nature and their simultaneous complete lack of meaningful narrative. If the campaign had had a handful of lazily-crafted cutscenes to go along with their lazy story it would have been easier to forgive the campaign as merely an unwelcome tutorial, but the barrage of high-budget cutscenes instead leaves one with an impression of the vast waste of resources that went into this uninspired portion of the game. Perhaps the game could have been $10-$20 cheaper if only this embarrassment of a campaign had not left the drawing board.    … Expand

They again should have waited a year before rushing out an unfinished game. The trick to getting your money's worth with Destiny games is to wait a year to buy the full game with all the extra content for $40. They burned their day 1 supporters twice in a row.

    It would not be fair to give that game a 0, because it can be fun playing it initially, yet after a short while (yeah the so called story line is rather quickly done...) and when one has grinded long enough to get the character classes and sub-classes to max, one quickly gets the epiphany that that was it. One raid in the endgame with a prestige mode that does not really get you better stats loot, repetitive strikes and heroic strikes and nightfall activities that result in no big loot gains but having ridiculous features in it, so you only can play them more or less with pro players only because of some really bad modifier combos.

    That game with all its bugs and design failures, and with the implementation of unseen and unscrupulous monetization mechanics, that just aim to squeeze and squeeze more and more money out of you - the buyer- , and all the game gives you is that bitter aftertaste in your mouth, as if you licked a load of dirt; it is a game that will get you on the long run into that depressive state where you pull and pull the lever of the one armed bandit of game mechanics and loot boxes and hope for the win and satisfaction that never comes. Just more crap more or less openly dumped on you.

    If you are a masochist that enjoys pain, then that is the game for you. It will keep you grinding for nothing. It will give you crucible matches you constantly yell about and scream in anger, because Bungie implemented a peer to peer model so they have saved bucks on their infrastructure and server capacity and optimized their cash flow.

Maybe kick you out, and give you an animal as a "error code" which I'm sure is actually a real thing that the "smart" and not mentally challenged people at Bungie came up with. Or then it will split the two of you to different instances, allowing absolutely no way for you to reconnect. That friend you made? It was a ghost, it was a lie and was put there to make sure you know you're playing a game by developers that don't care about making a social game. They just want to sell you 100$ worth of **** and laugh at you for trying to enjoy it.

    My advice. Join the first clan you are invited into. If they suck, which they most likely will, leave and wait for the next one. Clans is the "minimized exposure" that Bungie has designed for the socially frail people that are online these days. Made to ensure you only ever meet at most 100 people at a time, if you dare to. Or in the very least, add every single player you see that waves at you as a friend, then later on kick them off if they are just listening to terrible music and have no idea they also have a microphone on their laptop. Join any player with an open fire team, these people are grave individuals, they are willing to meet people online?!     The problem is base shooting mechanic is simple and well-made for CONSOLES so it playes really plain in PC. It feels like there is no recoil, no interestinf patterns of shooting, everything feel same and plain.
    You repetedly and casually shoot small pool of enemies, no sweat, and go further, get some loot and...that it.
    Maybe it would have felt better if we had more abilities and 10-15 sec cooldowns, so it made game faster and get player more involved in whats happening.
    But now its tunnel brain-dead "aim shoot repeat" without anything in between.

    Story is simple, but voice acting is cool (especially Russian) and there are some funny/cute moments, also visual design is good and sometime great (like on the Planet with Cubical landscape) but it does not save the core gameplay which is too casual and well yeah, boring.    … Expand

Don't know what those people at bungie thinking but I never seen so much broken game. Ballance is not exist. You have a legitimate wallhacks and aimbots. But it is not the worst.     Quite a boring game. The game mechanics were quite poor. Multiplayer loading took a very long time to join a game. Very grindy game--lots of repetitive mob killing. The story was not interesting to me. The voice acting was poor.

    I also asked for a refund, and got denied.

    Game is too expensive for what i offers. 50 pounds for base game and 30 for DLC? Just to get 20 hours of gameplay out of them? I don't have the time to get into clans and do the raid with them, and there is no matchmaking either so there is no endgame for me at this point. Regret making my purchase.

The adventure missions are basically grinding missions, which can be fun as long as there is a nice goal for the grinding, which I have not found. The campaign did not take to my attention the missions itself were fun but they did not make me care about the story at all.     There is no reason for a legitimate company to behave in such a shady way as if trying to escape responsibility. Surely this wasn't meant to be some quick money grab scheme of a project.     if you like shooting and fascinating lore this may be the game for you.

    The game has its flaws but i have played from launch and still do, very much enjoying myself. Recently there has been much more of a focus on the lore of the world, so together with gradual expansions the game has vastly improved from launch.

    It can be a bit repetitive, but the different stuff you can do in this game keep it fresh.

    The reviews on the user section are not the best representation for this game. They are based on old reviews (when the game first came out) and before it became what it is today, which is a fantastic game. Bungie really upped their game and made this game a whole lot better. Don't use the user score of 3.8 to determine its quality now as it has dramatically improved.

The story is absolute trash, but with a group of friends, the gameplay is a lot of fun. The pvp seems to have been tweeked since beta and the time to kill feels much better.     Destiny 2 plays like a cross between Borderlands and Halo. It's a story driven shooter with repetitive level design, samey reskin enemies, and randomized loot. As you progress through the game, you'll travel freely between different planets in the solar system. Each location has an open world area with public events and side quests. When you start a story mission in these areas, it's instanced. When you reach level 20 (max level), you'll return to these same areas to complete daily and weekly activities and challenges for randomize loot rewards. This can all be done cooperatively or solo and none of it presents any real challenge to a seasoned FPS player.

    Player movement and enemy animations/behavior is very similar to Halo. Jumps are long and floaty as if there's low gravity. What's disappointing is character movement doesn't factor into class abilities or combat with one or two rare exceptions. It's simply there to serve as a way to navigate weak platforming sections. Enemies will sometimes juke to the side or drop a shield, but this doesn't increase their threat to the player. It only serves as an annoyance to increase the time it takes to kill them. Most enemies seem to fire the same slow moving energy projectile weapons. While enemy factions are thematically different in appearance, it quickly becomes clear they are just different models for the same type of enemy with similar abilities. Weapons variety seems weak. There's a sufficient variety of weapon types, but not a lot of options within those categories. Many weapons simply feel like reskins of weapons in the same category with no sufficiently differentiating characteristics.

    The story is incredibly weak and predictable. Having not played the original Destiny, I had no grounding for who the main characters were or why I should care. The writing for character dialogue vacillates between self-important melodramatic posturing and hipster tier cringe (I'm looking at you Cayde-6). All I could gather from the story is that Guardians are religious zealots who worship a giant sphere which has visited earth and granted some people magical powers and immortality. In short, the Cabal did nothing wrong.

    End game content and PvP are pretty fun. Strikes are Destiny's version of raids where you and other players go through much more challenging levels and boss fights to get better loot rewards. Revisiting some of the open world story mission areas to do side quests is sometimes entertaining, too. Doing these gives you tokens you give to a local story character for, you guessed it, loot rewards.

    Destiny 2 is not worth full price especially considering there are going to be at least two paid DLC expansions. If all you want is a good coop game with your friends, Destiny 2 isn't a bad choice, but it may not have long term value for you. Don't buy it for the story.    … Expand

    - The "raid" thing: there's only one so far and it's easily exploitable for now, with several ways to significantly "shorten" it.
    - The PvP system: just a bad joke with only 4v4 mode.
    - Social features: another bad joke. No good text chat system (especially for things like guild/group), no good voice system (not even proximity voice chat), most of the communications with other players are done through very few available emotes (unless you'll somehow coax other person into installing a Discord or other third-party chat/VoIP client). The whole "clan" system is another joke - it barely works now, causing people performance issues (just by joining clan) or issues with not displaying any clan members in clan list. Oh, and fun fact: you can't see your clan members in any in-game location unless you actively group with them (because the in-game world is EXTREMELY instanced). And even the grouping system is a joke because it only allows 3 or 4 people per group (depending on the activity).
    - Game world feels "empty" most of the time - occasionally you might see someone joining in the Public Event... Or you might be stuck doing it all by yourself, with only a couple of other random people just doing their own thing on the same "planet" area. This is due to very anti-social and highly instanced "hybrid" client-server/p2p system Bungie is using even on PC platform.

    The only "positive" thing you might notice is that the game engine performs very well even on low-powered PC. But that's kind of expected considering that you won't see many players in any area anyway (especially for PvP mode). All in all, no way in hell it is worth its current retail price (unless you'll get your "review copy" for free so you can write a mandatory "10/10" review), and if you still want to try it out - wait for it to go on sale for $10-15 sometime next year then buy it, your in-game experience won't be different but at least you'll save a significant amount of money.    … Expand

    Gets boring having two different primary guns and all the abilities on such a long cool down
    There is no new enemies or sub-classes
    Destiny 1 was a beta, this is the release

    Best part of this game was a refund I did yesterday.
    Game was unplayable for me, I had memory leaks and had to restart game every 15 minutes.
    And of course game isn't good by itself, It's like you play some mediocre shooter from 2003.

    This is an aggressively average game, and fails at the one thing it should do best, have interesting and varied loot that makes you want to play the game to get it.

    Truly disappointing. The amount of resources that went into this, its amazingly bad. I really think the talented people who worked on this would want for people who play this to be not pandered and exploited so brazenly.

    This is one of the most **** copy paste games I have ever played. Absolute garbage considering they had more time to focus on the negatives of Destiny 1 to implement into this game, but noooooo! All they want is the **** MONEY!!!

    Go look at the Help Forums before you buy - because they care so little for the people who bought their game there is no customer support, anyone with a problem has to go there.

    Usually either can't connect to server or I can load a mission for a handful of seconds before getting booted back to the main Orbit screen. None of the other online games I'm currently playing seem to have this issue at all. Soooo this product becomes largely unplayable. Can't contact support. Have to post on the forums.

    On the occasions when it is playable it's pretty fun but then I'll randomly get booted to orbit in the middle of a strike and lose my progress and won't get a chance at the final boss or the loot at complete random.

    Oh and then when I do manage to finish a mission, apparently I can go and decrypt an engram, have the new item popup screen appear for its contents but then they don't appear in my inventory. Again, they dont have customer service so I have to post on the forums only to hear "Bungie doesnt restore lost or deleted items"

    Probably would've given it a solid 6. But if you buy this game there's a chance it'll be pretty fun but if you're like all the people with connectivity issues and I can't imagine what else, there's a good chance you wasted your money and again, there is no customer service to contact to help you fix whatever issue you encountered.

    Just because its on the Blizzard downloader dont expect a Blizzard level of polish for their patches/releases, this company has no issues with selling products purely through hype then meeting release dates with subpar products and literally nonexistent customer support.    … Expand

    The art, and music specifically are second to none, constantly blowing me away at every turn. With that said, those are the only two facets of Destiny 2 that deserve praise, and the reason this game gets any points at all. How can a game get so many things wrong is beyond me. Destiny 2 feels more like a public joke than a real game. The list honestly goes on. Seeing game review businesses give this game positive scores is honestly sickening. Bungie used to release pure quality.     People complained for getting banned for no reason.

    Bungie pressed... "All banned are manual and cheaters. Everything's fine, ALL PEOPLE WHO GOT BANNED DESERVED IT".
    7 hours later.... "Actually, there's error in our banning process and people are getting banned for no reasons. Deal with it."

    Would you give 60$ up front to this?

In the end, I had to download the pirated source through the torrent, so that at least something to run. The program was updated, but gave ERROR CODE: BUFFALO. WTF?!     While Destiny 2 has a solid foundation and a robust story campaign, its endgame content feels a little lacklustre. The sandbox doesn't have a whole lot of depth, and plumbing each of the hub worlds for secrets doesn't feel that rewarding. Grinding Public Events, Raids, and Strikes with friends is definitely a lot of fun, but there's a huge disconnect between content being cleared and your character strength increasing. There's still a lot of room for Destiny 2 to grow but, for now, it's still got a few kinks to work out.

    In a nutshell, Destiny 2 for PC is the same outstanding game we played on consoles, but even more enjoyable thanks to spectacular visuals, masterful optimization and much more suitable controls. [13/2017, p.75]

    Play this great shooter with your friends, it pays off. Then it will offer hours and hours of great fun without the stereotype. But be prepared the endgame will thoroughly test your patience and willingness to grind. [Issue#280]
