Feb 19, 2020Marvelous’s mechfest looks beautiful and plays like a dream on PC, but it's held back by repetitive action.
-
Feb 26, 2020Overall, this is a fun game. Upgrading your Arsenal and gaining new weapons and equipment to fight enemies feels very rewarding, especially when fighting the bosses. If you can get past the cheesy dialogue and fighting endless waves of common enemies, you will enjoy this game and all it has to offer.

Jun 10, 2020If you like the trailer, you are almost certainly going to like this game. If you like the concepts, you are almost certainly going to like this game. It knows what it wants to be and it succeeds marvelously at it. And at the end of the day, I like this game, so even with its flaws, I can’t help but feel that it deserves plenty of love for just being dang fun in exactly the way it wants.

May 1, 2020Daemon X Machina impresses with its focus on big guns, mecha customization, and wild, anime-style action. But its head-scratching story and lifeless environments prevent it from being an instant classic.
-
Mar 2, 2020Overall this title may not blow your socks off, but it’s definitely worth giving a go if you enjoy games of this genre. Whilst there are negatives I pointed out in this review, it is still a decent mech game and gives you a decent lengthy game of killing robots.
-
Feb 26, 2020After finishing the story and grinding through free missions, though, you can’t help but start thinking why on earth am I doing this anymore? Even though you can play Daemon X Machina pretty much the way you prefer due to all different weapon combinations, the thinness of the gameplay is unavoidable. However, in years’ long absence of new entry in Armored Core franchise, Daemon X Machina will satisfy the hunger for heated mech action. It’s colorful, fast-paced and sweet while it lasts.
-
Feb 13, 2020Daemon X Machina doesn't break much new ground, but the gameplay is entertaining and anyone looking for an enjoyable piece of Japanese mecha will find plenty to like here. As long as they don't get completely turned off by the subpar story and dated graphics, at least.
-
CD-ActionMar 17, 2020It’s a pleasant thing for short gaming sessions, and a rather solid game from the technical standpoint. It could use more narrative polish and quest variety though. [04/2020, p.58]
-
Feb 21, 2020Daemon X Machina tends to merely check the boxes for what is required of a mech combat game.
-
Feb 13, 2020The offering here is on par with just about every other mech game we’ve seen over the past few years, and while there are things that could be better, the stunning anime-style visuals and the sheer amount of customization are two things that make it shine.
-
Feb 13, 2020It’s quite the comprehensive package. Powering through it all will be a test for many, though. Daemon X Machina has many of the ingredients of a great mech combat game but the end result isn’t wholesome. It’s flat, lacking in flavour, and gets stale all too quickly.

Feb 13, 2020Playing on PC brings sharper resolution and a much more stable and smooth framerate, for sure, but none of it amounts to a night-and-day difference. Go with your heart and play the game on whichever machine speaks to you the most, because at the end of the day, you’re guaranteed to have a good time no matter how you play this game.

Jan 27, 2022A potentially interesting game ruined by a stupid off-center camera. Devs, put the character in the center of the screen.
