A perfect score game? Never. This is an average game, with several huge problems that hinder playing. I was never in the hype about this game, but I was even enjoying it, even at 1.04 the game has so many problems that I gave up playing. It requires a computer too powerful to take advantage of the graphics, failure to maintain interest. Unfortunately, the worst surprise of 2020.

I have only played the PC version.

Cyberpunk 2077 looks sometimes very nice on my high-end PC but the game world feels life- and soulless. There are many obvious flaws, for example the AI of the enemies and NPCs is laughable bad.

There are so many obvious bugs and constant crashes. It is in insult to the consumers to release a game in such a broken state. Thankfully I could get a refund.

Disappointing...the No Man's Sky of 2020, great marketing, great graphics, sad gameplay. No celebrity can make this great. Unpolished with floaty, clunky controls and archaic feel.

If a game's story, narrative and pacing make more sense if the player ignores the open world and just rushes through the main story, the open world design has failed. In a weird way, that's the best way to enjoy Cyberpunk 2077, as it hides the glaring issues with the static open world from the player and maximizes the potential of the really good stuff, which is the story and the characters.

First the good stuff. The game looks great visually. The art style is beautiful. The city is gorgeous. It's what I imagined a future Blade Runner video game to look like after seeing the movie for the first time. Shooting mechanics are great. Audio design is absolutely top notch. It sounds as good as it looks.

The problem is, the city is a mere facade. It looks good and is massive, but it's a hollow experience. NPCs walk around like mindless zombies. Tons of stores around you, yet the only ones you can interact with sell the same garbage. Cars can be smashed at 150mph with basically zero cosmetic damage. I actually stole a cop car with three cops standing right next to me. They didn't give a damn.

The open world in Cyberpunk 2077 is a Potemkin village. It's a facade. It's not real, it doesn't even feel real. I've seen more interactivity in GTA: SA, and that's a 15 year old game.

There are some glaring issues with stealth mechanics where enemies home in you as soon as you've been spotted, inconsistent difficulty and RPG mechanics that are overly simplified, but I'll chuck that to either me not understanding them completely or misusing them. Nevertheless, my impression of them hasn't been very good.

The story is great, and the characters are interesting. Every single storyline mission I've played has been engaging and well designed. This game would have been a lot better if it was linear, as that would have controlled the pacing and kept the player from engaging with the most disappointing open world I've taken part of.

Didn't have fun. Didn't enjoy the controls or gameplay itself. It feels like an RPG sim where you're watching boring dialogue with 2 choices that both give the same results, followed by 5 minutes of walking around in a terrible MYST-like game with basic stealth and driving elements that could easily have been left out.

Got refunded so I don't hate CDPR. No performance issues.

It's not as bad as some people have said. I've played about 36 hours, and its crashed 3 times and ive run into bugs that have caused me to reload twice. Mostly just little glitches here and there. It's also not a great game either. Even though there is this "incredible open world" that people talk about, most of the main story is on rails, and a lot of the side quests are repetitive. Save your money and wait. And if you already got suckered in to pre-order like me, refund while there's still time like I did. This game should not have been released in this state, especially on consoles. So far it's been alright on PC but still have immersion breaking bugs. I will buy again... down the line eventually, when this game is actually ready.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'll keep this short and sweet with bullet points showing my disappointments with this game.
    - Barely any meaningful dialogue options, they are all incredibly linear and lead to the same thing
    - I expected choices, to be able to save characters like Jackie or Evelyn, but the game is linear as ****
    - Combat is average to below average, enemies are bullet sponges and they usually don't care about their safety and will just stand there while you unload into them. The ai is just bad.
    - The lifepath you choose is a 5 minute cutscene before it throws you back on the linear path.
    - Serious lack of romance options
-The world feels incredibly dull and there's no way to interact with it
    - The npcs are like something out of a ps2 game. They just wander around and bump into each other and you will see the same model over and over, sometimes you see 2 of the same npcs standing side by side.

I cannot recommend this game and you should ignore the blind fanboys giving this game a 10/10

    Seriously overhyped game.
I mean, the artists definitely poured their soul into it... but feels like CDPR just hired random people in the street to work on narrative, pacing and emotional involvement. I just.. couldn't care less because the narrative IS NOT built properly. The game does nothing to get me in and engaged and just does its thing. Feels very bland.

Also, the visuals are ... controversial, so to say. Yes, a lot of work on design and lighting has been done. But many other games look way better on PC (Ultra, RTX OFF) and let alone PS4 that runs beautiful Last of Us 2 or Horizon: Zero Dawn like magic and at the same time stutters to deliver any sort of picture in Cyberpunk.

Not to mention the poor technical state the game is in right now.

The world is amazing, vast, full of things, with lots of cars and NPC's. But then the NPC's are braindead, and the enemies are idiots, i emptied a full clip on an enemie and he couldn't care less. The cars float on air so do the enemies.

    The shooting is nice, average.
The cyberpunk theme is a miss, i found Deus Ex so much better at giving you this feeling, the colors are too damn bright, so many bright colors, the soundtrack is a disapointment, again Deus Ex soundtrack is so much better.
The leveling mechanics are ok, but not that much relevant.
The worst is that they release a unfinished, unpolished, buggy mess. Worst they hide the real game images before launch so no one saw the crap they were presented.
CDPR is as shaddy as all the rest. Gold disc MY ASS

Let me start by saying this game is around 6/10 on gameplay, 7/10 on story, side missions and gigs, 10/10 on graphics, 2/10 on open world, out of missions immersion, environment interaction and customization, 0/10 AI systems. The game is solid if you like looking at HD wallpapers and if you enjoy a good linear storyline with plenty of missions to do. However I score the game at overall 5/10 because the game was announced as something more, as a huge open world immersive game, instead we got half of the product and also with giant ammount of bugs, that no matter what specs you have they might happen, flying cars, stuck weapons, missions that bug out, etc, etc, you can check youtube the multiple bugs this game have. You can even shoot a trashbin with a shotgun and it just stays in place, I mean that is fine for a game but not what this game was supposed to bring in terms of enviroment interaction. You can play and enjoy the game as it is, for its story and missions, just dont expect character customization, open world and game immersion outside of that. Moreover, even the story is missing the interactivity, your choices don't really have much of an impact, lifepaths are forgetable, I mean they are nice gimmick only, actually if the game didnt have lifepaths it would feel almost exactly the same thing, and the story will also play almost the same. Again, you will have fun if you want a linear story where your choices don't matter much, like The Witcher 3. My main grip with it is that in The Witcher 3 we were following the path of Geralt, while on this game we were supposed to get to create our own story and follow multiple available paths. The factors, such as linear story and lack of open world make this game replayability very low and very much bellow what the game was promised to be. Overall, I recomment this game if you want to play a linear story in a beautiful world but even then I would wait for a discount as the game is not worth full price, with bonus that waiting might lead to the game having further patches and dlc that might improve it. If you want a game where you make your own story or open world immersion just stay away for this game. Expand

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
