The gameplay if fun and the story is interesting enough. The world is pretty to look at, but could be more interactive. The character building seems very unguided, but you figure it out after sometime in game. All in all its an alright experience at the moment that can definitely be better once its polished up some more.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those amazing games that you get every once in awhile. Similar to a Fallout game, Cyberpunk offers a giant, dense open-world with plenty of side jobs to do. Other than the missions and side missions, there's not much to do other than random events. Or at least, from my 15 hours of gameplay, that's all I could manage to find.

Other than the missions and side missions, there's not much to do other than random events. Or at least, from my 15 hours of gameplay, that's all I could manage to find.

However, given the open world isn't like Grand Theft Auto, and the driving mechanics are bad, I still think the RPG elements and story are the strongest parts of the game. As I'm writing this review, I see someone saying "The gunplay is clunky and unsatisfying. Stealth is uninspiring." and to that I say, it's an RPG experience. The reason the gunplay is clunky is because your character isn't a trained gunman, and they need experience before they get to the point where you are running around headshotting everyone with a single bullet. But until that point, you are an untrained mercenary who is trying to reach the top. The same can also be said about the stealth mechanics. You're only as good as you make your character to be. Think of an RPG like The Elder Scrolls, you're not going to be a master swordsman at level 1.

I really want to get into this game with this review, but I also want to stay spoiler free. All I can say is that this game has already made me cry with it's story telling. If you ever have the chance to experience this, I highly recommend doing so.

When this game works, its a fun and exhilarating experience. I found myself forgetting that this was a game which is a testament to engaging the experience was - WHEN IT WORKED. There are so many bugs that just completely ruined the immersion. dying from falling less than a foot, falling off your bike from a 2 MPH collision while staying on after hitting a wall at 120 MPH, people spawning in walls or props, dialog being randomly unavailable, random T-posing NPCs, the list goes on and on. I also want to mention that this game barely runs at 60 FPS because it for some reason does not fully utilize my GPU. I have a 2060 super, and it just scratches 60% utilization. I really want to give this game a good review, but its hard to do so when CDPR had 9 years to make a game and botched it this bad. I want to reiterate, this game is really good story wise. The game does a phenomenal job developing it's characters and making you really care about them. The voice actors clearly put a lot of effort into the job and it shows. The environment looks absolutely beautiful and really does evoke feelings of a futuristic dystopian America ruled by gangs and mega conglomerates. but all of this good is overshadowed by game breaking bugs and glitches. I would recommend buying the game - just not now. I hope that this game gets the 'No Man's Sky' treatment and all of it's bugs get ironed out. TLDR; good game story wise, don't buy yet. wait for bug quashing fixes and performance improvements for the best experience Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I play it on older version of ps4, downloaded it on preorder time and have more then 24h of playtime so it's not surprising that my graphics of game is bad - visuals are not impressive at all (found other games that was released this year much appealing for me, game screen looks blurred and muddy. But I can't took that for negative because I do have old ps4 and I'm happy that i can play it. So let's start with exploration - open world is often fantastic, choice seams to be endless, sometimes I get lost in choices and side quest that hour later i forget what i actually wanted to do. I didn't find any bugs or glitch there.
But negative side is that I found city quite empty, there are few npc wondering in streets and even less cars so I was quite disappointed in that aspect of game. I don't see reflection of me but customise of your body is terminala (you are stuck with same hair, tattoos and similar thing's) but clothes are brilliant. I just scratch main mission but earning money is quite hard and realistic.
I have 5 blue screens and crashes of game, some bug's of levitation objects and missing objects in story missions and when I kill someone gravity is ridiculously bad. Was it worth of wait for ps4 players NO, did I expect more YES, BUT Ilove characteristics and reality of game that I don't mind first person gameplay ...

I still like it, 15 hours in, but its slowly starting to burst in the seams. I think a lot of other games have done what Cyberpunk wants to do better, so it's not a "same but better" situation. Sadly it doesn't do anything best in class, I think it crumbles under trying to do too much and not doing anything great. They've cut so many corners it's mind boggling. So few weapons and generally ways to approach combat, pacifist playstyle is just shoe-horned in via mods that magically turns your weapons non-lethal and very few react to you playing pacifist (unlike even the oldest of Deus Ex games).

I just don't know. I mean I want to love this I really do but its just not that good.

Had they waited longer or maybe pushed a limited beta a couple months ago they could possibly have fixed the worst bugs for sure.

My recommendation for people wanting to buy this game is to wait a couple of months, it will be in a much better state since they are collecting bug reports and pushing updates to fix them.

My prediction is that this game could possibly become a solid 9 IF they commit and keep fixing stuff along the way.

    2. Even top tier PCs cannot handle the game at playable frames at any given time.
    3. I spent 1500$ and my PC still cannot run the game and I kept crashing at prologue for atleast 30 times!
    4. We're all so caught up with crashes and bugs that no one actually dives deep to explore how horrible AI and police system is in this game.

You get the feeling of ubisoft games like watch dog with all the collectibels, the bad driving and the stupid npcs. The story is solid and i like the gunfights. If I will need to summarize the game in one phrase it would be "You are an observer, not an actor. The show is pretty, but you can only make it louder, quiter and choose the ending."

    Let's start with the good.

Writing is decent. When hot-stuff newbies try to rob the mega-corp, you expect the poor bastards to be found and gunned down in few hours - AND THEY ARE. No magic here, powers that be come and crush you. The script is logical and consistent, characters are decent, they have their reasons and world is pretty deep and gives you what you expect from cyberpunk.

It is good at giving player atmosphere, with music, flashing lights, and all. You simply need to stay on the quest railroad and it will be fine.

And yet, Cyberpunk 2077 feels like a mix of witcher 3 and DAO origins, and in a bad way. It took the idea of prologue and backgrounds from the Origins but failed to understand the meaning of it (spoiler: choices). From Witcher it took the time-limited dialogue options, "the ending will be decided by one choice in one quest" and railroading.

Basically, it is not an RPG. It is a game that is trying very hard to pretend (not to be) one. It gives you flashy upgrades, customization, backgrounds, but utterly fails to deliver any development on them - there is no use of customization, the background will only unlock a few meaningless dialogue options with no consequences attached, and the upgrades are simply percents of extra damage - no new actions or abilities. Looking at you, Aard from Witcher.

It should have been a corridor shooter - damn, the game is on its best when it ignores the open-world completely and just teleport you from one mission point to another - and stop pretending to be an RPG. There is no roleplay involved. It is basically a movie with the opportunity to shoot at bad guys, but without any influence on characters by the player. You can only choose the ending from 4 pre-made by the developer. You are an observer, not an actor.

It is Mass Effect 3 level of "your choices during the game do not matter, lol".

I will give it 7/10, because the core of the game is well done. They simply should have dropped the open world and put it into a small, local railroaded corridor shooter with a lot of choices. As it is, it is half-baked at best.

The last patch "1.04" fixed the performance barely. But it is improving. Also some bugs are less frequent. But bugs and performance aside the game feels cheap and lacks in pretty much every way:

    -INTERACTION WITH NIGHT CITY-
The game feels lifeless, I'm obviously not expecting a Sims like experience but you can't interact with the environment you'll visit bars, markets and lots of interesting places that are completely useless and have no interaction whatsoever, also npcs won't react accordingly to the environment they just walk and walk lol wtf. Your apartment feels like the only interact able place in night city but has no use or customization.

    -CUSTOMIZATION-
You can't customize your character with prosthetics in the character creator, half of the npcs have them and you only get to use cyberware as a weapon but not as customization. That's lame. -SOME REMOVED FEATURES-
Also they removed wall running and I haven't found a way of using mantis blades for climbing , and I see why, this features were buggy AF that's why they removed it. - AWFUL PERKS AND BUILDS -
Wanna build some sort of cyberpunk assassin? Yeah using blades won't trigger animations when assassinating enemies , you'll always use your bare hands. Wanna throw blades like knives ? Yeah you won't be able to retrieve them back lol, also have a great time finding blueprints for blades or spending thousands in knives.

    - RPG ELEMENTS -
Progression of the character is that bad but RPGS should let you build your class and and have actual impact in your desitions. Like I said If you would like a specific class the game won't let you build that , not even close as we would like. There's a lack of real or impactful desitions, imagine having main characters die just because, lol where's the planing and the desitions making where you actually get a way of getting different outcomes???? Dude they even said that V is a mercenary and that you're not able to join any gangs (factions) wtf is that ? Is this an RPG or a gta with a already set character, this isnt an RPG they even lied in that. - CHARACTER ORIGINS - yeah you get your half an hour origin story but that's everything you get. You get some responses here and there depending of your character but they're so lame and don't really give you a different playthrough. - CONCLUSION - man it is difficult having so much hype and then getting this incomplete experience. No wonder why their stock dropped hard. Would I recommend this? Yeah maybe some dlcs and patches later , but now the experience is disappointing. They shouldn't give release dates, they said "coming when it's ready" just leave it like that ! Am I dying because the game won't fill my expectations? No not at all, but I freaking payed for a product that was marketed in a fake way. Playing on pc is bad , but console players get it even worse and CD Projekt said this runs and looks good on consoles but that's also lies..

Am I having a good time? Well , I'm trying to but I can't feel immersion or have 100% fun having missing textures, slow performance with a decent pc, cars popping, falling from the sky, Quests bugs, inventory glitches, lame lifeless world, very few to no interactions with a world that has details but is useless. Do I hate CD Projekt or cyberpunk? No , i'm just using my right and free of speech to express my concerns about a product I bought.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To my great regret, Cyberpunk is not the game I wanted to see. The developers removed from the release version everything that attracted me to the game since its announcement. Running on walls; a system of reputation that REALLY affects the game world; a system for making REALLY important decisions that REALLY affect the game world; a system of implants that affect the attitude of game characters towards you (and much more). No. None of this is in the final version of the game. All tasks are monotonous (kill 10 enemies in this location and take the chest with the reward or go there and save that person). That's all the "open" world of Cyberpunk offers. For me, Cyberpunk 2077 is the disappointment of the year.

P.S. there will be a spoiler Next (please be careful), but this particular moment in the game disappointed me so much that when I reached it, I no longer started the game. I just don't want to go back to this game world. Well. I'm talking about the death of our partner, Jackie. This is just a terrible moment from the point of view of the scenario and game logic. At that time, I had exactly 109 first-aid kits in my inventory. And I was not given the opportunity to give my partner at least 1 of them to save him! This is one. Two. This is the world of cyberpunk AND it is possible to replace any part of the body with a mechanical one. But we are not given the opportunity to save Jackie this way, although just a few minutes later we are saved, but not from a simple wound that was in the partner, but from a BULLET IN the HEAD. And I have a question: WHAT GUIDED THE SCREENWRITER WHEN WRITING THIS PLOT MOVE?! Death in the story for the sake of death?! Without the right to influence her in any way? Then let Jackie shoot DeShawn like he did us. Then it would be LOGICAL and we would know for sure that we could not save our partner! And so we just stole the right to choose in a game that promised a REAL opportunity to influence the course of game events! We were given a real opportunity to influence the game world back in the days of the first mass effect and dragon age, not to mention the first Witcher! But here-NOTHING. Just accept that you are in this game world. And all. Oh, and such was the potential! Such ideas and promises! But, alas. At this point in time, only Larian Studios and their Baldur's gate 3 give the player a real opportunity to influence something in the game world. You should be ashamed of yourself, alas cd projekt red.

Well... i’m gonna keep it short...

I like the game.. Alot! The story is interresting and i really like it. There is lots if content and thats good. But! There are way to many bugs, preformance issues. Especially on last gen consoles. That just at times makes it so damn frustrating

In my opinion wait a couple of months before getting the game, it’s great but there are way too many bugs

There are a lot of bugs I've come across, none game-breaking but some just out right confusing, like voices being heard across the room instead of from the person you're talking too. Other than the bugs that occasionally might pop up, the game is definitely one of the greats. Though in my opinion should of been kept in the oven for another year to get all those kinks out, but other than that this game is a solid 7 rating. Anything above a 7 or below a 5, should absolutely be ignored. Good luck, Samurai.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I created a metacritic account just to be able to rate cyberpunk 2077....wow, this alone should be enough for a rating, if you look at the score i give them.
And it is shamefully bad, I've got 2 big gamebreaking bugs so far and numerous small ones, from graphical to sound and so on. And I'm only 4-5hhours in the game, completing just a few main quests.
Once you are eventually immersed in the game, it throws you outta there with it's bugs. Flowing Food etc., not to be able to pick things up, citicens are crouching in fear even hours after there was a reason for it....and so on
    E. g., I parked my car in front of the homebase and overrun someone, police came, I excaped and ran back. Got to the appartement, slept a night, walked down and everybody was still crouching and wobbeling in fear.
Another sample, the mission with your first big braindance in the apartement. Always when I got out of the braindance (the tutorial braindance and the apartement braindance), I see my car parked on the street in front of the club from above, with walking citicens and driving cars, but Judy, V and Eve are talking and the game goes on, as if I am seeing everything from the eys of V (as it should be). Even when the braindance is completely over and I am allowed to walk again...I can see V move on the radar and I am able to talk to Judy, but I still am only able to see my car on the street from above (instead of a first person view from V).
After 8 years? WOW, this is really , really bad.

And what everybody else is writting, is true too, the citicens are only zombies, they talk some **** yes, but thats it. No interaction, whatsoever.
And of course no interaction with the world, absolutely nothing, except vending machines...vending machines, they are all over the place and absolutely useless (I mean the ones for buying drinks etc.).

Another one? Sure, the driving is so, so bad, compared with the little details from the minimap, you always drive past a turn or crossing, when you are a little bit faster, because when you see, you have to take a left on the minimap, you are already over it...

It feels as if there was little to no testing and absolutely no time for removing so small and minor bugs, which everybody must have encountered, who played the game for testing.

I played Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2, for them I would give the witcher 3 a 9/10 and Red Dead Redemption 2 a 10/10, but this one here...

The story and characters are some of the ok. The gameplay is serviceable and fun, but the loot, even though there is a lot of it, is stale and not diverse enough. The main and side quests are good and really make all of its drawbacks an extreme disappointment. Now to the drawbacks like the plethora of immersion and game-breaking bugs, that really hinder the experience and alone drop this game a point for me, especially the horrendously bad performance (until they get fixed). But the moment that was the most impactful for me is the moment I realized everything is staged and the world isn't really alive. For example, NPC A.I. is completely unfinished and arguably isn't even present. NPCs don't react realistically to anything you do or do not react at all, all have a one-line generic tough-guy response but **** their pants as soon as you do anything (like literally you shoot a guy in a nuke-proof car with a pistol and he runs out and squats begging for mercy). The police A.I. is also nonexistent as they spawn right next to you and can't even follow you so all you have to do is run away and since they can't drive cars (lol) you are home free. The city, while being incredibly beautiful and painstaking detailed, is dead, because there is so little to do in it, except quests, and it doesn't react to your presence in any meaningful way. But if and when all this gets fixed I will change my score and review accordingly, which there is a high likelihood of happening, since this is CDPR we are talking about. Expand

the gameplay is your basic RPG shooter (it doesn't add anything new and is a mix between fallout 4, deus ex, and GTA). the story is deeper than most games and the dialogue is complex, but very depressing. if you like depressing games, you'll like this. A few minor bugs so far such as clipping through walls, once I jumped up to grab onto a shipping container and went flying backwards across the map to the other side of Watson for some reason. The AI is a bit meh, sometimes getting in a fight by will aggro EVERY possible opponent in the area and will come running to fight even though they shouldn't have been involved. And the pathing for NPC vehicles is terrible, park a car in the middle of the street and get out, and cars will just bank up behind you. Come on CDPR, that's basic stuff, GTA V is 8 years old and does better than that!
Needs a lot more polish, perhaps like with Witcher 3 a couple of years worth of patches will turn it into the game we wish it was at launch.

Loved gameplay it's feels like Borderlands 2 and I really like the gameplay because of that.

The main story mission is very well animated and clearly explained.

Cars: Handling wise it's very bad, if you hit a curb at highspeed you're gonna spin out and crash. The steering is slow and wonky, it feels like Watch Dogs handling which was very damn bad. In corners you can easily spin out and the braking on some vehicles are just bad.

Aesthetically the sport cars are very futuristic of course and aesthetically pleasing. My currently favorite vehicle is the Quadra Type-66 "Avenger".

Cons: FPS wise it's not great, been using a GTX 980 TI and I'm currently only getting 67 FPS on the lowest graphic settings available. Also using Dynamic FidelityFX CAS with 165 FPS as the target. Minimum resolution is 65 and max is 100.

Tried using my other GTX 980 TI, but the SLI performance is very bad as I only achieved 30-40 FPS.

Graphics: I haven't been able to see the at full RTX Ultra settings yet so this will not effect the review only the FPS performance will effect the review

Bugs: Random T-posing characters, vehicles having weird collision and sometimes just being stuck in each other, purchasable vehicles being in the ground, characters just bugging out in general.

Animation and voice acting: The facial animation is not as bad as Watch Dogs Legion and the acting is definitely better than that. Atleast it's not Mass Effect Andromeda level of acting.

Kenau Revees aka Johnny Silverhand did a good job switching between being a rude MF and being a understandable character because of his past.

I can't see any reason that justifies Cyberpunk 2077 being open-world rather than linear. There is a very good game at the heart of Cyberpunk but it is buried under a deluge of padding, poor AI, an archaic loot system, and bugs.
You start the game by customising your character and choosing a lifepath. Appearance and gender affect your romance options while the lifepath gives you one of 3 introductions along with differing dialogue options down the line.

Once the intro is over, the 3 lifepath stories coalesce into an engaging story about a Mcguffin biochip, weaving in and out of the major Cyberpunk themes. As a fan of the genre, I found the main story and most of the side quests to be fascinating and the most engaging parts of the game. Unfortunately, there are a lot of preriferal objectives and activities surrounding the quality missions that weigh down the experience as a whole.

The map is plastered with icons that represent activities of varying quality. Unfortunately, most will see you going to a location and killing some people with little context beyond "they are bad guys". These activities will be framed by soulless phone calls and end with money and exp materialising in your pocket. It is blatant padding, present to give the illusion that Night City is a place where stuff happens, while in reality there isn't much going on at all. At a glance, the city is gorgeous, sporting all of the neon and mismatched architecture a Cyberpunk city should have. Yet the inhabitants of Night City are mostly mindless drones. Seriously, the AI of pedestrians and drivers is Driver 3 levels of basic. Pedestrians have a stock crouch animation when things get violent and there seems to be no variation in their responses to your actions. The most glaring routines are those of the children. They wander around, unaccompanied, doing nothing. In the Witcher 3, kids would play tag, kick around in the mud and gawp at Geralt's swords. Why are these kids now so emotionless and why are they all missing their guardians?

Things only get worse when you start driving. The only response other drivers ever have is to stop their vehicles and beep the horn. Park your car slightly off the curb? Cars will stop (even when there's space to go around) and beep their horn. Crash into a van at 120mph, they will stop and beep their horn. Shoot at them.. they don't really do anything when you do that actually but you get the idea. I am not a huge GTA fan but I have to admit, Rockstar nails pedestrian AI. Seeing the various reactions of crowds is one of the many joys an open-world city can provide. Without it the world feels so superficial.

This feeling extends to the available cars too. Cars cannot be customised and are pretty much just a cosmetic option. Yes, they have differing speeds but the layout of Night City does not lend itself to fast driving and the car controls are average at best. This wouldn't bother me too much, but flying cars are present throughout the game, so it's pretty galling that you never get your hands on one or customise an existing car to fly.

As an RPG there is also an in depth levelling system. There are over a dozen perk trees to fill out with the general buffs and upgrades you would expect, like increase health or do more damage. You can also buy upgrades like a rocket launcher in your wrist which is very cool, or a quickhack that sets enemies on fire. It is a typical RPG character progression system, it works well but it's not groundbreaking and the UI needs some work. Aside from character progression there is also loot which is handled very poorly. The game drowns you in weapons and clothing but most of it is useless. Throughout the game I have encountered about 6 guns that I actually use, these are "iconic" guns that can be upgraded. Despite this, almost every mission will end with my inventory being stuffed with a dozen new (weaker) assault rifles and pistols. The constant routine of running back and forth to a vendor is exhausting and the kind of thing we all had enough of in Skyrim, almost a decade ago. Similarly, you will frequently discover an entire new wardrobe. There are lots of cool clothing items in Cyberpunk but each of them has an arbitrary armour number so you will spend the majority of the game wearing a stupid mismatched outfit to maximise your armour.

The gameplay itself is very basic FPS-RPG action. Bullet sponge enemies are frequent and your options are usually just stealth or kill everything. I enjoyed it, but the AI is simple and quickhacks are never as impactful as Geralt's Signs were.

If you like the genre of Cyberpunk and have a system that can run it, you will love this game. If you are looking for the new benchmark for Open-Worlds you will be sorely dissappointed. I can't wait to see what CD Projekt red improves over the next year but as is, the open-world element of this game has glaring flaws that we have seen in dozens of lower budget games before it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Unfortunately Cyberpunk 2077 is not even close to being the 10/10 flawless masterpiece many of us wanted it to be and in it's current state it is for me a 7/10 that could be could eventually become an 8/10 or even a very weak 9/10.

    //////Minor spoilers below/////

    Things I like:
    -the story is great
-the world looks great and graphics are really good
    -the music is good
-the endings are really well done
-I personally find the gameplay loop addictive

    Things I dislike:
-the montage and time skip after the intro mission
-lack of some crucial quality of life features such as scopes displaying what kind of weapon they are for being ably to craft more then one item at a time
-the minimap is simply too zoomed in
-not being able to search in the shard ui making it a pain in the ass to read one in case you forget to open it after you loot it
-not being able to set what you armour looks like(I know it kinda breaks immersion to just change the appearance of you clothing but damn some permutations of different armor look horrible)
    -the phone system just sucks
-sometimes the game just forgets what you have done(example #1 padre introduces himself to you despite being shown in the montage you already have been acquinted #2 woodman somehow comes back to life like nothing happened)
-phantom cars(low res car shapes appear in the distance)
    -lack of AI

    Glitches:
    -sometimes ui elements get stuck
-inflating trees(I can't even comprehend this how the hell did this get past QA)
    -Disappearing pedestrians
-Mission objectives that are like vehicles and items can get stuck in walls making progressing impossible
-certain iconic weapons can't be removed from inventory(works on 2nd playthrough so it seems like it has been fixed)
-sometimes when you drop a body you are carrying the body randomly starts teleporting around basically alerting all enemies in the area
-fall damage(CDPR you'll never learn) sometimes you can jump off a 20 story building and live and sometimes you die from jumping over a barricade

Closing words: I don't who was in charge with development but they **** up big time.

Well to start with I want to point out that I really wanted this game to be good, very good, but the dissapointment is real. To be clear, I'm sitting currently at patch 1.04 with 35h played 4 days after launch and haven't completed the main story neither secondary missions but the issues I'm going to address are not related to that at all.

To start with, the game is buggy, but not a little buggy, really buggy. At this point I cannot count how many bugs I've encountered throughout the gameplay and I can tell no game should come up this way, it sometimes feels like you are playing an early beta version taking into account the ammount of bugs inconsistencies and other aspects all related to the open world section of the game.

Got to say that it all depends of the perspective on which you compare the way the game feels to other games. The problem is that when this game is aiming far to high due to that marvelous marketing that sold it like a revolutionary game, you compare it to the best of the best and it doesn't match that by far, the intention of the game isn't that neither.

So if we don't take into account the bugs because CDProjekt is working on it and I want to believe that they will eventually get their game into a state where this bugs are much less frequent we can say this. The story of the game is definetely interesting and involving, it made me feel like roleplaying it for real since minute one. But things announced like the lifepaths or decision making are not very relevant, specially lifepaths which just give a different prologue for each one and casually a specific dialogue selection on the conversations. Despite this, I truly believe that the story of the game is it's strongest point at the moment.

The secondary missions are the best I may have seen in all the games I've played so far. These missions vary from giving background to many secondary characters and expand the relationship of V with them, to doing simple tasks/jobs to random npcs, which is not boring at all.

Coming to the open world section I find my other major disappointment. The city looks stunning for real, it is definetely the best designed city visually and neighborhoods like Little China or Japantown feel amazing to drive through or walk by. But the problem of this world is that there's not much to do apart from the missions previously mentioned or openworld events where you clear enemies. It is something that when you compare it to the witcher it feels everything is ok, but when you do that to Red Dead Redemption 2 is very underwhelming. The thing is that Cyberpunk 2077 is a roleplaying game, and thing like going to a pub and being able to drink but not get drunk apart from 10 seconds of a slight distortion on the screen, feels like this game lacks attention to detail in the aspecs that could be more relevant instead of in customization of your genitals that is pointless in the game as it doesn't make a difference when you use the escort services. You can't play pool in the afterlife, you can't enter the strip club near your trusted ripperdoc, you can't really do much apart from walking, drinking and eating ocasionally in tents and buy soda cans from vending machines which turns out is pointless because you will be tossing those cans out of the inventory eventually. AI's you see are poorly made, NPCs only react to you when you kill somebody, shoot a gun or punch them (you can't knock them out, they just take your punches like a champ). Police just shoots you when you misbehave and spawn all over the place (preferably right on your back). And driving AI's is basic, all the cars go at the same speed, do the same moves. The only change in this is when you are on a mission and it is rigged for that mission for specific stunts or choreographies.

The driving experience, people have said it is bad, that cars don't turn enough or they slide to much, for me it feels genuine. I understand it is designed to make you slow down for a stiff turn so you don' t loose control of your car or bike. It takes you a while to brake, the faster you go the less you can brake without loosing control, so this is a mechanic that makes you drive like one more NPC (almost) in certain more populated areas of the city. But if this is true why do traffic lights instantly turn green when you get close to them with a vehicle. This are the inconsistencies I talk about, there are many more but I can't really list them all, just expect this kind of things in the game in several aspects of itself.

To sum up, yes I like the game, yes I will keep playing it for sure. But I do want to think that CDProjekt is going to be able to fix it and make it the stunning game we had been announced throughout this years, even though I'm sure is not probable to happen at all. I think they really wanted to make a good game, but I can't tell whether the marketing was too ambitious or the pressure from investors/public accelerated it.

    Wish CDProjekt the best!

    Honest review of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 was easily one of my most anticipated games of this decade, so like many others I was at large on the hype train for the game's release. After countless delays and many years of waiting we finally got to play the game and after experiencing the title for myself I'm left both amazed and severly dissappointed.

For starters Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game with a fantastic story and beyond stunning visuals, but being a triple-A RPG requires more than just story and graphics to succeed in my books. I finished the game's main story line in roughly 25 hours and was afterwards thrown in to a huge open world with countless sidequests and.. and.. that's about it. I was surprised by how immensly empty the city feel. There's a huge lack of activities and RPG elements that're so important for a game of this genre. Repeatable activities such and racing and various other mini games are what really adds to an open world game, but there's hardly any. Not only that, but things like barbers, car customization, weapon customization and other elements that give the player more choices and freedom are also missing. I don't expect CP77 to be the next GTA, because it's not. It's an RPG, but it's a very lackluster RPG without these basic features.

Secondly, there's the bugs.. and holy sh*t.. this game is buggy. I get that they kinda forced themselves in a corner where they couldn't delay the game further, but I now understand just how badly it needed yet another delay. Found it extremely difficult to enjoy the main storyline without constantly having to worry about things glitching and quests bugging out because they did.. they did very often. Hopefully over the next couple of months they'll sort most of the crucial bugs out, but it'll take a massive amount of work.

That being said I did still enjoy the game overall, but these issues kept me feeling like it could've been and should've been a lot better than it is. I'm extremely eager to see what the coming months/years will bring to Cyperpunk 2077, both in terms of DLC and bug fixes, but for now I can't give the game a higher score, despite how badly I want to.

I'm pretty happy with the game. No game breaking bugs and the graphics are awesome. The map is so big, in 5 days I visited only 20% of the game.
CD project red is offering a refund if you are not happy with the game. They are pretty cool.

Where's that "freedom to be whoever you wanna be or to do whatever you wanna do"? Basically, the game is a straight forward campaign divided in few missions with some side-quests and some chores to do in the between that after spending 20h doing those it gets very repetitive and boring... way behind TW3 quality (Oh those were proper missions).

To be honest, the entire game looks like it has been a last minute change by management or investors - they were going in the right path until decided to do a u-turn to whatever the game is now...crashing on the way.

Even the commercial... my lord... they should step back and remove it cause it's selling the wrong product. Claiming to be fully free to do anything... lol

Hopefully, such a blow will help them reconsider the way they are taking and fix all this.

Theres many things that can be worked on to make it even better but the potential for the future is endless. I would have liked to see a longer game, the option to keep playing and collecting money after the end, more clothes, more interactions based around the gangs in the game and more but it is hard to live up to all of the hype this game built up. Still a great game though and it makes me excited about what the future of Night City can bring. Expand

At the current state, this game is like the deformed kid from the Goonies. Great story and character, and pretty cinematic, high octane moments in the main questline are marred by frequent bugs, dumb AI, and cut content. I have hope that this will become an 8 or even 9 someday.

Running on ultra 1080p vega 56 @ 45fps. Playable. The story and gameplay make up for the few bugs. It still feels unfinished. If this didn't have the CDPR or Cyberpunk lore behind it, no doubt a 5 out of 10. Given a 7 out of 10 also for the sheer scale of detail that went into the game.

In the beginning I was amazed by the really nice graphics (Ray Tracing Ultra), the story and Night City, only to get disappointed later on.

If you only play the main story and some of the important side missions, you will not notice the serious weaknesses of the game.

The longer you explore the open world, the more disappointed you become. CDPR has announced a next generation game with incredibly interesting features. Unfortunately, only a fraction of it has been implemented in the current version.

At the moment, it feels more like an early access than a finished game.

The main story was interesting but didn't really blow my mind, reminds you of Ghost in the Shell and Altered Carbon and maybe a bit of Blade Runner. But unfortunately nothing innovative and new.

    Pros:
    - Graphics
    - Night City as a scenery
    - Story
    - Sound (weapons, vehicles, world)
    - First person (relatively well executed, gunplay feels good)
    - German synchronization

    Cons:
    - Gameplay (RPG mechanics, inventory)
    - RPG downgraded to Action Adventure
    - Linearity (story)
    - AI (one of the worst)
    - Open World (Night City feels more like a scenery)
    - Police system
    - No real side activities
    - Lots of missing promised features

Bottom line: if you play the main story and do a couple of side missions, cyberpunk feels fine, but once you step into the open world, you start to notice how incomplete the game is. It feels like an Early Access version at times. Most of all, it's disappointing that the promised RPG masterpiece just turned into an average action adventure.

And then there are the moments when Cyberpunk 2077 reaches its full potential. If you simply drive through Night City with the relatively cool vehicles and forget all the game flaws for a moment, the real potential of this game opens up, which cannot be matched by any GTA. Because when it comes to atmosphere, scenery and just that Cyberpunk feeling, Cyberpunk 2077 is unsurpassed! Unfortunately then you become aware of the missed potential, which makes you even sadder.

There is a masterpiece somewhere hidden in this game. Due to the release rush, you can see and feel how unfinished this game was released. I just hope now that CDPR is still delivering the game they promised us. Because with this release they have lost their reputation and, even worse, the trust of their community.

The game has a lot of stuff mission (or not implemented yet). You stay every 10 minutes to sell the stuff you don't need (or dismantle). You get almost nothing for over 50 items sold or dismantled.
You can't order items by price, you can't add to favorite the items you like, you can't sell or dismantle multiple items at once. For a game that you play a lot you waste way to much in menu

You can't order items by price, you can't add to favorite the items you like, you can't sell or dismantle multiple items at once. For a game that you play a lot you waste way to much in menu getting rid of useless stuff because you can't carry more or you have no eddies.
You have a lot of options but the mission (at least at start) still end the same way (even the dialog is the same most of the times, even if you picked something else.
The clothes may have legendary stats but they are ugly or at least doesn't work with the rest of the stuff + it doesn't matter if you're a girl or man, the clothes you get are the same.
Even so I had and still have a lot of fun with this game, something that I don't get from games that are fully polished. I enjoy Night City. An open world game that it's not made to be long and empty, it feels like it's a real city.
Everything looks so cool, cars, city, people, weapons, ads.
    Music is good.
I didn't finish the game. I will change this review after future updates and after finishing everything but for now the came can't be more than 6.5.
You need to restart the game sometimes, because of some bugs (I have a 2060 super). The game works at 60 FPS easy but with ray tracing on it's 30 so ray tracing is useless even if you may see 10% better lighting in a few places. People are overselling this Ray Tracing stuff. I prefer 60 stable FPS at least instead of some better lighting in a very few areas that you barely notice.
Some stories with some characters seem generic. It's sad that in 8 years they couldn't take the wither formula and improve it with the side missions. It's not bad, it's easy over what 99% does for side missions, but didn't feel like they were important (even if some are and they matter, it wasn't like the Wither where I cared a lot more for the side missions.
My advice? Wait for an update that can fix the important bugs and where they start implementing more into the game.
If you can wait 6 months or 1 year it's possible to have the best game ever with a lot of cool stuff and even at a very low price.
Now? If you have nothing better to play (like Yakuza - like a dragon) I think the game deserves to be played. I have fun with it, a lot of stuff looks great, the story and even side missions are interesting and fun. Just remember that the game has more updates until it's close to finished.
I find it fun even now because so me bugs can make things very funny but if you want to enjoy the story it will be very hard when lip sinking doesn't work sometimes, the audio is broken other times, characters go crazy, things explode. 100% you can't take the story serious with so many bugs happening from time to time.
Don't get me wrong, it was even over 5 hours sometimes when I never found an important bugs, just some small and barely noticeable loading issues for textures.
I don't regret buying this game, it deserves the money, but they need to fix it and implement a lot of stuff that the game lacks.
I also love the fact that they don't censorship a lot of stuff but you have the option to do it and I love that. Who wants a censored game, they can have that, but if you want nudity and don't care? You also can do that.
Nobody should force us accept censorship, this should only be picked by the player. I never pay for censorship and I tank Cyberpunk 2077 for making a great job.
The developers did a great job but too bad the people in command didn't let them finish the game. I'm sure they are disappointed and they wanted everybody to enjoy the game they made, after they finished it.
I'm sorry that I have to give it this review, but it is what it is, for now.
Later I'm sure I will give this a max score and a 7 is not bad for now, I just hope the developers can finish the game as they wanted from the start.
A game like as big as complex like this will always have a lot of bugs, I just hope the ones that are all over the place and annoying/game breaking will be fixed.
Now I'm going back to enjoy the game. See ya. Gig closed

*I have divided this review in 4 main subjects whose mark is given by the mathematical mean of their subsections*

    atmosphere: 8.5 also divided in:
    > scenography: 9 | beautiful city, colorful and enormous, i think nobody can argue this.
    > coherence/immersion: 8 | everything fits together within its context except few minor
details, only big bad thing AI, these npcs can get you out of the game completly but we will talk
about it later on the gameplay section.

    story: 6.5 also divided in:
    >Main quests (Also include big side quests that may affect main story line like Judy's arc or
Panam's): 7.5 | Very good narrative and decent stories, depends on your taste this plot will
    catch your attention or not.
    >Side quests: 5.5 | Pretty dissapointing coming from CDPR, we expected really elaborated
missions with different sub-plots that complement the main story (just like the witcher 3 did),
. unfortunately for us this is not the case, repetitve and plane side quests with no transcendence
whatsoever. (go here and kill this evil guy or go here and install this malware...etc)
    > Characters: 6.5 | obviating the overhype for keanu reeves, just a few characters are worth it,
you can feel some of them have their own goals and personalities but they dont really meet the
expectations, the witcher 3 did a better job in these terms.

Cultural/artitic/grahical quality: 9 also divided in:
    >Art: 9.5 | Practically perfect in this subject, you can tell they put a great effort on making buch
of art like ads, drawings, scultures, objects, cars, clothes...etc which gives an unique
personality to the game, creating its own personal culture.
    >Graphics: 8.5 | Very good quality, maybe RDR2 graphics are slightly better but there's not
much to say except some minor graphical glitches.

And last but not least gameplay: 6 also divided in:
    >Combat: 7 | Very usual type of combat, nothing especially original, you can abuse stealth like
every other game of its kind, but besides from that its pretty much normal, too simple abilities
they are just porcentages. Enough variety of weapons and clothes.
    > AI: 5 | Just meets the minimum requierments to be playable, terrible police system,
braindead enemies and civilians, you would expect that from EA on his next Assasins creed
    game, but not this one.
    > Options: 6 | With options I mean the posibilities of dialogs the game gives you and how they
influence your story line. in this case, these options are pretty pointless, they wont be relevant
almost every time, just on final and important missions they can decide the outcome but its
kinda upsetting that your decisions wont matter and the outcome will always be the same, for
example, you can choose killing this guy or not but it doesnt matter in the end, or you can
choose do a quest in a sneaky way or with a shutgun oblitarating the enemis it wont matter,
the outcome will be the same. We need to consider that this is a Rol game.

In conclusion, 7.5. Without the bugs and glitches, a better AI, and with more terciary content like the posibilitie to custom your cars, more implants to energize the gameplay, more idle options...etc this game could go up to 8.5 maybe. But the structural problems like the bad side quests or characters will always be there. Hope this helped you

The story is interesting enough for character relations to be memorable but some long dialogue have me interested in spamming the skip button a few times. The game has a great sense of reward for exploring the beautiful world and I've come across tons of memorable npcs and weapons which I feel is essential for an RPG game. The replay ability is defiantly there and has me wondering what options/lore is available behind each career path. If you're a graphic snob I'd defiantly wait for next gen version (or get a PC) as it's not the best open world I've ever seen but it's very detailed and has you sucked in for hours looking around. My review Isn't based on glitches and bugs since I've had the fortunate chance to play on next gen but I feel bad for those who were lied to in marketing that this game would work on current gen. Based on what I've played I have faith they'll be able to come around on the major bugs of this game but people are really acting like this game is the 2020 version of No Mans Sky or Anthem. The game actually resembles what was offered and is a single player not bound by the budget they get from live service micro transactions or the online servers being populated. Cyberpunk intense hype and expectation of next generation gaming are very misleading. The bugs really break the immersion of the story. The AI is very poor for a game of its magnitude as well as the physics.
The visual experience of the game only comes when running on high resolution and HDR. Otherwise all the details look very grainy and noisy, crunking up settings does not help either.

I am very dissapointed, as i did not felt i had a "Next-Gen" experience. Everything in the game looks and feel just like everything else we might have in older games.

So my advice is to wait some months until the game get more stable and optimized thhought patches. and play it at least 2k HDR for some decent experience.

Night City is great to look at but you can't do anything there. Most interactions in NC are shallow and poorly though out. There is nothing dynamic about this game and its a completely linear experience for the most part. Branching story lines based on choices? Again no. Even the choices you make in independent side quests have nothing to them. The side quests have a lot of heart and emotional depth but besides that nothing. the difference in endings is based on if you do some side quests and not even the outcomes or choices of that side quests but just the fact that you completed them. This is a very shallow game. Expand

This could have been so much more, it could really have been the greatest game of all time. How often does a game that's visually beautiful, luxurious, and laden with high tech weaponry and seductive design elements have you struggling to keep your eyes open half the time?

Cyberpunk is rare in this regard, as rare as it is uneven; Conversations that drag to infinity, until the music picks up and empty words start to have a little zing. Characters blowing up your phone like Hiroshima, until you play certain missions that allow you to get to know them. Tons of upgrades and cool hacking abilities, but with no real reason to invest in them.

And a story that want to breath, but is suffocated by jerky, stop-and-go progression and too many characters popping in and out with no rhyme or reason.

Then there's V. A guy (in my case) who's as confused as the player; getting jerked around by everyone he comes across, unable to make heads or tails of anything. Where did he come from? What does he want? What is he doing at any given time, and why? Questions the game can't answer, because it's too busy throwing everything it's got at the player in the most uncoordinated way possible, and then doing nothing at all. Leaving the conversations to keep the momentum going on their own, which they usually fail miserably at.

Where is the energy? Where is the forward momentum? Where are the critical moments where the player takes charge and the protagonist comes to life? They exist, but only as high-points along a largely passionless journey.

It's too bad. This game has so many great ideas, and some of them come to fruition, but Cyberpunk 2077 fails to bring them together with enough calculation, consistency, and determination to make the game's inner diamond shine to it's maximum luster.

    - i bug non sono l'unico problema pare che il gioco sia stato finito in fretta, la mappa è piena di edifici vuoti o zone in qui si può cadere nella mappa,
    - i cali di fps sono eccessivi graficamente è uno spettacolo ma se con una RX 590 da 8gb sono costretto a giocare a 1080p tutto settato a low e sto tra i 45/55 fps fino a cali di 30/25 non è colpa della scheda video e semplicemente ottimizzato male, non tutti si posso permettere una 3080;
    - la stragrande maggior parte di quello che è stato fatto vedere nei trailer non è stato mantenuto o è stato semplificato eccessivamente;
    - le opzioni di dialogo sono molte di più ad esempio di the witcher 3 ma, sono buggate anche quelle spesso il personaggio inizia a mischiare le battute e a sovrapporle fino a rimanere bloccato ed a ripetere tutto da capo.
    - le meccaniche generali del gameplay sono cose viste e riviste in tantissimi giochi usciti da quando è stato annunciato (2012) ad oggi non hanno creato nulla di davvero originale. (sembra un mix di Deus Ex - GTA V)

The story is interesting and original. The characters are well written and multi-faceted. The world is vast and fun to explore. The combat is satisfying. The soundtrack is fitting, albeit the ads might be a little too wacky. The game is beautiful even on low settings, and the game never drags on. Main story missions can have branches of them as side missions that can come back and effect the main story later on. There are plenty of little easter eggs and details in the world to find (Do you know how to use the 3 shells?). Augmenting your body is fun and really helps the world feel like the cyber future. I have almost 40 hours played and I'm still in Act 2. I haven't had this much fun exploring a game since Yakuza 0.

But of course, you can't discuss Cyberpunk 2077 without the bad. The game is flat out, full stop, unfinished. I personally have not found or experienced any game breaking bugs, but I realize I've been lucky. Late rendered textures, empty streets, cars disappearing. My character was glitched into a crouch once. I was bugged into a never ending "heart attack" twice. Reported blue screens, poor framerates, and of course the console launch. The voice acting is hit or miss sometimes, with Keanu showing why John Wick and Neo are his best roles. At one point they left in a filler voice line with a completely different woman in the middle of a speech section. There are no consequences for going on a rampage. You could slaughter 50 civilians, drive 300 feet, and police forgot you. There isn't much variety in the loot you can find, with only about 20 total guns in the game (That I can tell). Driving on mouse and keyboard is awful. Idk if it's much better with a controller, but driving feels like every road is an ice sheet, and your brakes are mostly a suggestion.

C77 was released 6-12 months too early. I see the vision, and I love everything that makes C77 what it is. Every mission is interesting, every side mission is engaging. The story branches with your decisions, and given another solid year of development we would be discussing an instant classic video game. Right now I see a 10/10 game with 5/10 polish. 7/10 right now, but I am very interested in what this game looks like 5 months from now.

Do I suggest C77? Yes, but understand you're getting a AAA game in what feels like a late Beta. I love it for what it is, but I overlook a lot of small bugs. I can see past them, but to others they might be death by a thousand cuts.

I would gladly lay down my life for Panam Palmer. Thank you, CDPR for making me fall in love with a video game character.

This isn't the game-changing hype-machine that many were lead to believe in the trailers, but much like The Witcher 3, CDPR's previous instalment, the draw is not impressive AI and revolutionary combat, but a deeply compelling story with some fantastic voice acting and at times jaw-dropping sights that are begging to be fully realised with better driving, NPC's and a broadening of impact that the player can have on the world. I am, as I was upon The Witcher 3's launch, as hopeful as ever that we can see these changes in the coming year, that the huge, complex next-generation experience that was pitched at launch is delivered to the fans of CDPR. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Got the Day 1 edition of the game from retail and played it on GOG with a mid-range PC (MSI Nightblade MI3).
    Positive:
    • Game did what it set out to do: create a rich and vibrant city and immersive story that will challenge the player's morality.
    • The game doesn't shy away from showing dark themes such as suicide, adultery, murder, etc.
    • There's a wide range of customization for players from ethnicity, gender, genitalia, apparel, makeup, cyberware and nails.
    • Amazing voice acting, characters, animations, and writing.

    Negative:
    • The game sacrificed content for creating a dynamic environment. CDPR managed to simulate the experience of living in the city in different districts including the over-population problem in them.
    • Bugs - animations, UI being cut off from the screen or simply not appearing, inescapable glitches
    • No consequences for actions, good and bad but it prevents replayability as players can simply load up another save to try another ending or mission and collect all their trophies in 1 play-through
    • No factions, V is simply a vessel for the player to mess around in Night City

    Final Verdict:
Short and Ambitious - I really enjoyed this game but felt that the main story was too short, I did not rush through dialogues nor side-quests, returning the player before the Point of no return after the endings (where all but 1, V survives) makes it evident that game planning post narrative was lackluster. There was so many opportunities to create a story without Johnny, it's possible to completely remove Johnny's input in certain situations, working and siding with different factions could've greatly added to the story, but instead V is a lone wolf that works with whoever with no consequences.
    • The game was too ambitious
    • Placed Keanu Reeves on a pedestal, maybe even spent majority of the game's budget and time for him (still love him though)
    • Cyberpunk should've been delayed at least a year
    • Other games still surpasses graphics
    • Fun gameplay
    • Worth buying for the experience
    • Looking forward to the updates and DLCs, maybe add more than 2 romanceable characters for each gender

Good game with good story line, engaging and fun side activities, and the most impressive graphics I've seen in a video game. BUT the game as major flaws even on PC, the worst are the NPC AI which is non existent and the wanted system.

The NPC are really badly scripted and have basically one hard-coded action for every interaction with them, shoot they will run, throw a grenade they will crouch, park your car in the middle of the street the cars will just wait for you to move they cant go around you, talk to them they will answer about the weather or something completly out of context. Really often you will see pedestrians doing one single action in loop such as walking back and forth from point A to point B, or a motorcycle going in circle.

If you do any crime in outside of predetermined combat zone, it will put the wanted status on you. Doesn't matter if someone saw or heard you or not. The police will literally spawn 10 feet away from you, most often in your back and will start shooting at you. If you enter a car and drive one block away you will lose the wanted status, even if the police still see's you, there's no police chase in the game.

Other minor issues are bugs, ALOT OF BUGS and unfinished content. You will encounter many things that are unfortunately really immersion breaking: environment areas not completed, physics issues, falling through the floor, cars flying (not purposely), NPCs floating, T poses, NPC's cars and environmental objects collisions, animation loops, unfinished/ unpolished cutsceens, and the list goes on and on. I would easily go over the maximum characters limit for this review if I listed everything I personally encountered during my playthrough which was after the day one patch by the way.

Many things that were promised and even shown during the development aren't there in this build. This game needed many additional months of development to be the game that was promised/ marketed and be the game it should've been.

If you are looking for a masterpiece, this is not the one. If you are looking for a single player action game, with a good story and interesting non-repetitive side activities this might just be the game for you if you're willing to look over the bugs and the unfinished/ unpolished content you will encounter every now and then. Night city isn't the place we were promised but is worth visiting.

Encountered a few bugs but I’ve only put in around 5 hours so far. Not too bad. Bugs are an annoyance though

This game is a total mess. But you already know that most likely. That's not the worst part for me though, bugs can be patched, glitches can be fixed. The worst part is that the game does nothing new AT ALL with the genre whatsoever. But let's talk about pros and cons real quick

    Pros:
1: The world feels lively enough when it doesn't just outright glitch

2: There are some actually well written characters that are also voiced really well and actually make you feel a connection with them at times.

3: The holo (cellphone basically) function where npc's will message you even to send you a pic of their vacations (although rather rare) makes it feel like you actually play a living world

4: build variety is really good actually, you can play most things unless you play on the highest difficulty (I wouldn't recommend going for a blade build for example)

5: driving feels good and cars actually drive differently enough with each other so choosing the one you like actually feels like a choice rather than a coat of paint.

6: (spoilers in this one avoid if you don't want to know what you choose before you start the game) Lifepaths actually change how you perceive the world and open up different dialogue options depending on the situation.

    Cons:
1: Bugs up the ass for this release, there is a bug or a glitch associated with any part of the game.

2: Guns and gunplay are serviceable at best and just do what they are supposed to do rather than being fun, which is a shame cause the game is really focused on combat.

3: V's voice actinging (male) is trash tier and completely kills the experience for me, I've never played an RPG where I wished my character just shut the **** up actually almost killed the game for me.

4: (minor con for me and spoiler) why are character romances locked based on gender in this game of all games? I'd understand it if there was previous material, like a book, dictating it and I would support it but as far as I know there isn't any. So what's the point? Just let the player choose how they want to handle the situation. I just don't get why would you go through the trouble of coding that extra line of code

5: A lot of the story and character building feels rushed to me which makes certain characters difficult to like, you don't dislike them per se, you just don't really care about them. Which is a problem when the character is a main character to the storyline.

6: AI is pretty bad but I don't want to talk too much about it as I don't know if they just coded it like that or if it is a bug.

7: does nothing new with the genre at all. it's the same old open world exploration game with some good storylines and side quests and a lot of chores for you to do. Choices mostly boil down to who you kill and what loot are you going to get.

That does it for the pros and cons. Now, I would like to talk about the storyline as you can't just toss it in the pros or cons category in my opinion and be done with it and also, that's where most spoilers are going to be. So if you want the short version here goes: The story is a mixed bag I'd say it's mostly ok to good but the protagonists voice acting is so terrible it just punched me out of my immersion every time. Long version is that there are quite a few well written characters with very good voice acting and enjoyable side quests and main quests alike. A prime example would be Judy Alvarez. Amazing voice actor, well written and defined character with plans and desires of their own. Same goes for characters such as Jackie Welles who dies too soon and is forgotten for the rest of the game basically.

Characters like Panam and Rivers on the other hand have good voice acting but their quests feel a bit rushed. for example in the case of Rivers, you go from strangers to buddy buddies in no time whatsoever and without an real reason really, comes completely out of the blue and feels as if you are missing a couple of missions together before the game has earned it. Panam is different, she gets a lot of character development and you do a lot of missions together since she is part of the main mission but I still didn't feel that attached to this character. Feels too much like a trope. But she is good overall. V's acting (male) is garbage tier and throws me out of the game all the time. The lines he delivers the way he delivers them just feel robotic and frankly like something an alien trying to be human would say. Johnny overstays his welcome and tries to give the game a false sense of urgency that's lost the moment you stop to grind some levels or do some side quests.

All and all the game does nothing new with the setting or the genre if you've played an open world game you've played this one too the difference is that it feels like there are two writing teams in cdpr the good one and the one that did V's writing I'd give this game a 7,5 without the bugs 3-4 with them in. Grab it on a sale or something

Good game, fun to play. Did not live up to the hype of its marketing campaign, has some major flaws that need to be ironed out.

The main story was interesting, good characters and side quests, gameplay decent (except for the driving which is horrible). Nothing that sticks out or unique though. The world was immersive on a surface level, but when you stop and watch characters walk

The world was immersive on a surface level, but when you stop and watch characters walk through solid surfaces and levitating it doesn't help create an immersive environment.

Best radio stations in a game since San Andreas. Always good to have a radio station playing hard techno while trying to turn a corner without fishtailing.

I had a few issues, I restarted the game 4-5 times to get rid of bugs, though I was running on lowest graphics settings because my graphics card is outdated. Lots of glitches though.

A decent game to spend 40-50 hours to complete the story, side quests fun but mostly generic RPG quests. Hoping there will be some major updates becuase they are needed for a full experience (DRIVING IS TERRIBLE). If considering buying this game, wait until it goes on sale or players comment on changes made when updates and patches are released, there is little value for paying full price in the state it is in currently.

It's a good game, however it is plagued with bugs. Personally, my game has crashed twice so far on PC. After the 1.05 patch the game definitely runs smoother, however I believe the game should've released a lot later and I'm not completely surprised that Sony & PlayStation pulled the game from its store.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
