I enjoyed the game but, even playing on hard, after the first 20% of the game combat was just too easy. I appreciate they different ways you can spec a character, but after I found hand guns was too easy I switched to quick hacking and that was even worse. Replayability would have been better if more content was locked out based on your chosen skill tree.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a Fun and Visually Appealing Game. The problem is that for how long this game has been in development, IT Doesn't FEEL That it's had that extra love and attention that 7-9 years of Development should show.

I've noticed Alot of visual glitches.. Even had a character be in their T Pose! Facial expressions In the mirror of your apartment (And other mirrors around the game i do believe) DO NOT WORK ATALL. Which is Really disappointing for how far this game has been push back

The storyline, is quite hard to follow.. but that's probably just a personal problem as I'm not the best at focusing, and i am at least able to get a rough idea of what's happening.

It's a beautiful game, But you need the Computer to run it..

I have an 6700k with GTX 980, And i play on 1440p, 75% Scaling (Renders at 1080p) low settings, and i get 40fps... Which isn't ideal.. BUT ALOT better than How it runs on the PS4 for example.. and I feel bad for the players who are either stuck on ps4 as they can't find a ps5, or can't afford a new console right now... with Christmas coming up.

But as it's a next gen game, I'm not going to attack the performance too much.. but i also believe optimizations could of been done more efficiency

Cyberpunk 2077 Definitely give me Watch dogs vibes with the focus on hacking and Technology, but that was expected due to the High tech future that the game is set in.

I was VERY Disappointed with ALOT of the overhyped stuff, Especially the character expression.. I didn't care about the nudity.. and i do think that was pushed a bit too much.. but even then i was hoping that you'd be able to resize ur face and other body parts with a slider or drag controls, rather than 2-3 preset sizes..

My character Looks **** imo, and The character customization was Very limiting

I'm going to try and play through this game, but i have a feeling it might drone on..

TL;DR this game was overhyped, released buggy.. Looks amazing but playabillity is more about the game looking good

A mediocre game set in a beautiful city. The story, gameplay, visuals and music is good, but don't expect anything memorable like The Witcher 3.

Prepurchased it on PC and played for 3hours, not quite as engaging as the hype we all had. I will eventually play again in a few months after the big patches to see if it has improved.

This game is made with a detailed approach to development, beautiful first-person scenes, non-linearity in the story sections and additional quests, there is a good physics of transport depending on its type and price. Bugs that are on the release for a certain period of time will fix as it was with the Witcher 3 on the release.

I've bee waiting for the game since I was kid in 2013, it has introduced me to cyberpunk genere (so I fell in love with books, films and games) and was always praising the game on with just getting over excited with everything devs posted about the game. Even bought collector edition. So i was pretty hyped but there are tons of things that killed it in me. So I will starts with cons

Even bought collector edition. So i was pretty hyped but there are tons of things that killed it in me. So I will starts with cons
    • First of all bugs - I don't think there are any aspects of the game that aren't broken. NPCs, floating guns and cars, looting system, AI, audio, interface and the list goes on. It's not like those bugs are any kind of game breaking but you get them constantly. You want to change car camera? Well, first you need to leave car. You want to loot something? Stand on it and stare down. Tons of characters don't even open their mouths.
    • Performance - I might not have a killer PC but holy game automatically started on ultra - nice. I'm not.gojng to talk about fps(got around 60 when went to medium settings), but the whole game renders so fu❤️king long. You can just run it o character and it will look like pre 2000 NPC. Same goes for cars. You often need to zoom into them for game to render them properly. Same goes with your weapon. Running with invisible katana is horrible. Overall the game looks nice, it has nice graphics when they works but I've experienced so many ugly animations so far that it's unbelievable.
    • Lack of content - you can't customise your character during the game, you can walk, you are forced to wear cloths that give you good armor and look horrible. Skill tree might looks huge but overall it seems to work like weapon modifications / most of the stats doesn't make sense. Broken economy, broken crafting. Also your screen is almost whole.the time full of some information which is distracting
    • And one more time AI is broken. Police spawns in dozens of unites in a few second but when you run for 20 secs then just give up on chasing on you. Drivers will always stay behind your car. Enemies often just stop shooting at you or it takes seconds for them to realise that someone is shooting at them. Stealth is horrible, after spending hounded hours in dishonored and Deus Ex I don't even consider trying it - it's so horribly dumb and scripted. Also interaction with people was better in postal So much for negatives. Didn't make whole story so not gonna talk about it for know. How about good things?
    • I like the combat. It's dynamic and satisfying. It's probably not everyones story but after you level up with your guns it becomes more and more fun
    • Its generally entertaining. I'm currently doing some basic quests but the whole lore and SF atmosphere really works out for the game. City is full of activities you can just encounter and discover • City is amazing. It's really big, beautiful and full of things to do. Looks amazing at night. Never even thought about fast travel
    • Music is dope as fu@k. Both score and radio are amazing • Quests and story so far are great. You really want to dig some others characters story I still recommend this game. I know that CDRP will definitely fix it and will work on it a lot (although they really lost tons of respect, currently game is not even close to what they promised on social media). It feels like good game but that's it. I was really hoping for 10/10 game but the best it can get is 8/10. It just lacks too much and doesn't deliver in many basic aspects of the gameplay. If CDRP take more care of it then it probably can almost become what Witcher 3 has accomplished. For now it's just better to wait and hope for patches. They now that they screw up, they know that it's not final product and that there should be another delay, they are not blind. The only thing is how king will it take to fix it. Game is in horrible state right now. Enjoyable but it just hurts how much potential they have wasted. If you are not in a hurry - don't buy it now. Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot to offer but right now you might just not feel it. As someone who was hugely hyped for game, it's a kind of sad, because I know that devs wanted to give a great game but something has f$cked up during development..

After some more time in the game the story seems really gun, I love the idea they went with. Characters are well written and it's always nice to come back to them and get to know more. Really wished it wouldn't be so rushed. Game has potential but it way to flat in too many levels going below avarage of game's that we have already played in the past

I've lost all trust in that aspect to them.

I begin whith the first thing you experience: Graphics. Is it any good? Well, yes and no. Very uneven. Some parts of the game look amazing and the citys architecture is fenominal, but everything that isnt tied to the main story or the side missions have a noticable lower graphical standard and the difference is too big its distracting.

Sound design is the same way. The sounds that are there are phenomenal and the music is captivating but then there are actions that completely lack sound like breaking certain windows and crafting makes no sound at all.

The stories told in this game are slightly above avarage but nothing a will reflect upon. There is no satisfaction after completing a questline like when youve done something in the Witcher 3 for example.

The biggest problem this game has though is the main character V and his/hers trusty sidekick Keanu. V is the most generic character ive seen in a videogame since Cole from the first two infamous games. Grizzly voiced tough guy with a heart of gold paired with an overrated actor that has only put out mindless action movies the past decade that pops in out of nowhere to say something snarky. Either you have a silent protaganist like in skyrim, or you give us a character that already has a story and a real personality.

Gun play is suprisingly good, i thought that aspect of the game would be bad and the role playing would be good but its completely reversed.
Guns have a real kick to them and shooting holes and limb off of people have never been this much fun. The cyberware is a good way to customize your character to how you want to play. Wanna be a sneaky netrunner who hacks into people and things or do you want to be a superfast ninja that cuts people up without anyone has the time to react? The choice is yours.

So if youre looking for an futuristic action game with a decent story then i would highly recoment this, just dont expect to be sucked into an amazing story of how cyberenhancments is changing us as people, its not there.

The game itself looks and runs fine, I haven't noticed any game breaking bugs, only few glitches here and there, nothing major and nothing that would interfere with my game, plus I'm sure those will be ironed out in a month or two. The graphics is very nice as you probably know (running on medium/high settings on my 1070 just fine). The game play itself is okay, it's 3d shooter with a mix of gta, deus ex and borderlands. The hacking and stealth aspects seem a bit underdeveloped and not very interesting so I mostly play the game as 3d shooter with occasional use of stealth or hacking which seems to work fine and what the game seems to be designed for. The crafting mechanics seem a bit pointless as after 30 hours I haven't even touched crafting yet. One aspect of the game that I dislike is the gear you get - there does not seem to be much thought put into different classes and gear sets and that sort of thing (like combat vs hacker vs stealth gear types that would promote different styles of game play) - it seems to be completely random which also makes things a bit silly. A tank top can have higher armor than armor plate carrier vest, etc. which means that most of the time you look quite stupid as you just use whatever has the highest stats, even if it makes no visual sense. None of these things are major issues though and so far the game is fine, but my next few point are big ones - the story, the characters and the quests are all not very good. The main story is not very interesting, it seems to be a classic "taking down the system" type story but so far it is a bit bland. The characters are also bland and uninteresting - you don't spend enough time with anyone so they just come and go and I don't care about any of them, I don't even remember their names. One slightly interesting character is Johnny Silverhand played by Keanu Reeves - he's a bit of an a-hole but at least you get to know him a bit and is at least memorable somewhat and the circumstance of our relationship (without going into spoilers) is a bit different than I expected (I'd like to point out that I knew pretty much nothing about CP2077 before playing it, I completely missed the hype train and everything which was probably a good thing). A big missed opportunity are the side quests in my opinion - they are very bland. The side quests usually revolve around killing or rescuing someone or stealing some documents from some computer. But whats the real problem is that they get none of the well crafted stories like we've seen in Witcher 3. You get most of the side missions simply by a phone call and a text message, no meeting of interesting characters, no cut scenes, no dialogs, no decisions to be made, etc. which is really disappointing. The side quests in Wither 3 were very well done, with interesting stories being told and some very memorable moments. Unfortunately in CP2077 there's none of that, that's a very big step back, the side quests are dime a dozen and forgettable, one just like the others. Overall the game is a bit of a let down. It's far from terrible as some people try to imply but it's also a big missed opportunity. Ultimately, while the game play is enjoyable enough, the game just becomes bland and boring, which I mostly attribute to uninteresting story, characters and side quests. I will probably finish the game but so far the game hasn't really hooked me. I think 6 or 7 out of 10 is fair score. Expand

First of all, this game is fantastic on some levels. It truly has a great story that is very gripping and so far has plenty of twists and turns. It’s a great dystopian story that should be experienced by anyone who is a fan of these types of things.

Graphically, it’s beautiful, very beautiful actually. The design of Night City and the outlying areas are fantastic and it’s easy to see why a game like this took so long to make, everything is dripping with detail and it’s vibrant. While it doesn’t look good as the trailers, the in-game graphics do look good on a half-decent PC.

The voice acting is incredible, including Keanu Reeves who truly nailed his role. The addition of Keanu Reeves makes it a little better because he does such a great job with his role. The music is great and has that cyberpunk vibe.

The gameplay is fun. It plays like other looter shooters/RPG's out there, like Destiny 2 and Borderlands. Some enemies can be a little Bulletspongey but I feel that if you do side quests it’s not that bad because you gain better equipment which lets them go down quicker and the progression systems are very nice.

It so far has a great story, with incredible acting, great pacing with a few minor areas of padding in the story and a very fast-paced feel to it, with great direction. The story is engaging and is keeping me wanting to see how it ends.

Now… normally I’d give a game like this an easy 9/10, with only a point knocked off for some less then stellar side quests and minor pacing issues but this is where the game takes its biggest hit for me. The technical issues. They’re bad. Day one, they were abysmal, made me consider just refunding it and trying it again in a year or so when the inevitable ‘complete’ edition comes out with all the DLC. But the added patches are helping.

Still, this game needed probably 6 more months to iron everything out. It’s appalling that they’d delay it to now to release it in this state. Sure, it would’ve created controversy but the controversy would’ve been less if it came out with no major technical issues. It’s not just graphical issues either. I’ve missed important dialog options that will affect the story. I’ve also had instances where an item will pop up but it won’t go away for a few minutes, meaning I can’t acquire any other items. I found clipping issues as well, including my character dying when he shouldn’t have. Most of the issues are graphical hiccups which I can tolerate but when it happens more than it should, that does hamper the experience. Nothing is more immersion-breaking than having to restart just to get past a glitch. AI also has issues. Cops don’t even attempt to chase you. I don’t know if it’s due to a faulty script, considering the Witcher 3 had better AI and it’s made by the same company.

So, should you buy it? Yes… but it might be best to wait a few months. Right now, it’s still very rough around the edges. The story, overall gameplay, voice acting, and everything else is great but the technical issues bring what should be an easy 9/10 down to IMO a 7/10 at best. When it's fixed, it’ll probably be fantastic but right now, they released it too early and they should be held accountable for this.

The game itself its amazing( the story is an ez 10/10) but there are RIGHT NOW too many problems. I recommend buying this game after some patches because like I said earlier the game is simply amazing. But I will give it a 7 for now.

Let me start with the basics first and solve an all important question. Did Cyberpunk 2077 live up to the all the hype and buzz its devs created? The simple answer to that, is a resounding No and I'll explain why in a bit so bear with me.
First things first, the game's quite good and very accessible from a controls standpoint. That's not to say that the controls are a cakewalk, they certainly have a learning curve and it doesn't take long to get into grips with and that's a plus. I sank around 56 hours into the game since release day and that contains 2 20 hour playthroughs(with breaks here and there of course) on day 1 and day 2 and a 16 hour playthrough on day 3, so i think I'm more than knowledgeable enough to talk about the game's shortcomings.
One very evident thing i noticed and that hasn't been fixed yet is the wide assortment of bugs featured in the game. Characters walking through objects and elevators, random hitches and performance drops here and there occurring all too frequently and making the experience far less enjoyable, extremely rare graphical glitches in certain areas and so on. It is unacceptable launching a game in this state. People brush it off simply because it was developed by CDPR but it really shouldn't get a free pass like that, had it been another developer people would be all over them.
With these things been said, I want to get into the nitty gritty things in the game as soon as possible so I don't make this review a full on essay. The story is quite good, it won't raise the bar or reinvent the wheel in terms of storytelling and voice acting but that didn't stop it from being a good cyberpunk story set in the near future for me and it manages to capture that essence or feeling quite well, i have to warn you though, it does tend to get a fair bit generic at certain points so don't go in expecting it to "blow your socks off". Next is the soundtrack and ambiance which along with the visuals can make the game feel utterly realistic and somewhat atmospheric in specific areas, especially at night with all that neon and street lights going on creating an almost surreal and gorgeous looking game, one with a soundtrack that tends to capture that cyberpunk aesthetic quite well and is further amplified by a gorgeous art style that adds to the experience and immersion on offer in the game.
Now, while the open world looks gorgeous that does come at a catch, the world feels empty and somewhat barren in a lot of areas and no I'm not talking about the suburban areas and areas found in the desert region of the map, I'm talking about areas that normally should be crowded and not just during the day but also at night, areas such as the City Center for instance which should be teeming with life, but it isn't.
Gameplay is great but areas such as driving, fighting and gunplay look like they need a lot of work and I mean a LOT of work. Gunplay looks barebones with guns barely having any kick to them and giving that feeling that you're shooting nerf guns and not actual weapons since they lack the "oomph" you would get even in guns found in "ancient" games like 2010's Cod: Black Ops which wasn't realistic by any sense of the imagination but the gunplay felt satisfying and each gun felt unique in its own way. You won't get that with cyberpunk. In terms of fighting I'll make it short, melee fighting is very basic, punching enemies makes you feel like you're punching a mannequin since all you get is a basic reaction or lack thereof from the enemy you hit and ragdoll physics are completely absent. Finally driving, I'll just say driving feels like Watch Dogs and don't get me started on that game and how unresponsive its driving was. Each vehicle, regardless if it was a basic car, a motorcycle or an expensive luxury vehicle lacked any unique characteristics when it comes to responsiveness and overall sense of speed. Using a very simple description, "It's like driving a boat, not a car". With regards to combat however, the various ways you can hack one or multiple enemies at once and make them do all sorts of things like shoot themselves or jam their guns makes combat a lot more enjoyable.
The wide variety of cybernetic augmentations and character customisation add immense replay value to the game and the various dialog trees which can make a certain conversation turn in one way or another makes conversations more enjoyable even though they feel useless in some situations. There's a wide assortment of skills, aptly called perks to specialise in making your character feel unique and suitable to your preferred playstyle some of them felt completely useless though and even though I chose some of them, there are certain perks that didn't really do anything for me.
All in all, Cyberpunk 2077 is a really good game but it's certainly not the revolutionary rpg CDPR hyped it up to be. It's got it's ups, but at the same time it's got its downs(both mild and severe) however that didn't stop from being enjoyable.

This game is wonderful. gameplay is fun, characters are interesting, plot is interesting (for what i've seen so far), and world is nice and open. Those alone should be enough to make a game worth it, right? Normally, yes, but in this game's case, not quite. There is quite a bit weighing it down at launch.

There are countless bugs in this game. The majority of which being either graphical or auditory. There are a couple that i've heard of that are quest/dialogue base that can be game breaking. This was an issue with The withcher 3 also (CD Project Red's last game), and most of, if not all of, the bugs were eventually patched out. I assume the same will happen with this game.

Bugs aren't my only issue with this game, though. I am also having a little bit of trouble justifying the seeming lack of side content in this game. From what i've experienced in my (so far only) 16 hours of gameplay, there are very little side quests, and an even smaller amount of character interactions. For side quests, or "gigs" as the game calls them, most of the time you just wait until a quest giver, or "fixer", calls you and gives you one. These are usually rescue missions, or "go kill x" missions, which is fine. The other type of side quest (which name is escaping me) are a little longer but still not super content filled. I have one that is to go fight in some fist fights around night city, and another which is to go find some cars that were blacked out of their grid with their company, and are lost. That's about the extent of side quests I've experienced so far.

Character interactions are even worse. There is VERY little talking outside of quests. You can "talk" to pedestrians, but this is just them saying one line as they continue walking. You don't get dialogue options with them. I was hoping for something a little more RDR2 like, but whatever. Apart from that, you can also talk minimally to shopkeeps. You can't really even talk to your friends outside of quests.

Night city, while huge, has a surprisingly low amount of interesting places or objects. To paraphrase a review I read about the world, "You will see the same line of books, or the same whiteboard with the same notes on it in many buildings across the city." This breaks the immersion, which is a big no no in gaming. Sure, reusing assets is fine, but not to this extent.

While I haven't done too much exploring myself, one of my friends who spent hours exploring has found just about nothing interesting to see. No secret places or items. No "secret" interesting characters or anything. Nothing, leaving one with no reason to explore, other than hopefully getting a gig to do.

There is also a whole mechanic I haven't touched at all, because I don't see the need to. Crafting seems practically useless in this game, and the closest I get to doing that is dismantling stuff when I become over encumbered. This gives you materials to craft with, which I just haven't done.

I can't quite pin down why, but I just can't get SUPER invested into this game like I expected I would. I play for a few hours, and then get bored of the samey gameplay. The fact that the gameplay is fun doesn't stop it from feeling samey after a while. And with a lack of character interaction and meaningful sidequests, this is hard to keep me interested in playing the game for long streaks of time.

This has been a fairly negative review so far, so let me highlight some of the things I do really like about this game. First off, I'm a huge sucker for western RPGs. Bethesda games, CD Project games, etc all scratch an itch I get for gaming. I nearly hate level based games anymore. While I railed on Night city in the last paragraph, I do still love it. It's beautiful. I am also a sucker for cyberpunk worldbuilding though, so I may be a little biased. Another bias I have is the tech aspect you get within a cyberpunk world. V (the player character) is equipped with an ocular scanner which can also hack into people and objects to do different things.

When You do talk to characters, They are all interesting and individuals (other than the pedestrians). You get the sense that they all have their own desires and goals. They feel like people! The main characters of V and are very interesting and cool.

The story, for what I've gotten to so far, is very interesting and engaging. I am not going to go too much more into it, though.

Those are all the thoughts I can come up with for cyberpunk 2077 so far. The game is fun, interesting, beautiful, but ridden with problems. Will some, if not all, of the problems be fixed with patches and possible DLC? yes. Does that make the game feel worth full price right now? Not quite.

My main criticisms with the game are:

    1. vehicles are almost un-drivable with mouse and keyboard (especially motorcycles). The vehicle handling was tuned with analog input in mind. Using the keyboard will have you tapping keys quickly to do micro adjustments. Anything else will send you spinning out of control.

    2. A LOT of content was cut from this game. Just to name a few things: wall running, crowds, one night stands. There is a massive reddit thread with a more comprehensive list.

    3. Your origin choice effects the first 20 min of the game and some dialogue choices. Very disappointing.

Honestly, if they fixed the horrible vehicle handling with keyboards id bring my review up to an 8. Hopefully they add back a lot of the cut content in DLCs/patches. That would bump my review up to an 8.5-9.5

But for now, what we have is a 7.0 Nothing fantastic, but its not nearly as bad as everyone is saying (at least not on PC).

Police AI needs a whole revamp and driver/NPC AI needs a tweak or in some cases needs to be added in the first place. There are a few visual bugs that can be humorous bit not game breaking. However there does need to be a way to flip your car back over ito improve quality of life in game. Also being able to craft items en masse would be great. The part where I will give praise (aside from the fantastic music and voice acting) is the establishment of the world lore. You really get the feel of being in a city and that corporate entities have taken things over. The customization you can do with cybernetics is a very cool concept and the game conveys it well especially with the art style in the game. Add to that the unique way the game gives you quest information and lore (shards of data uploaded in your head), and the unique weapons, you get a pretty decent feel of what it is like to be in this world. I do wish you could customize your vehicles and outfit them with guns, armor and gadgets to introduce a new side of vehicle combat. Combat with most AI is passable and even fun at times whether in stealth and quickhacks or full on Rambo mode. This game was supposed to contend for game of the year but it comes out as just above average for me at launch and the bugs dock it another full point in my book. Not the worst game ever as people are saying but also not "next gen simulator" like it was touted to be in marketing. I can only hope it turns itself around in the coming years with patches to fix bugs, free DLC, and updates to the AI and quality of life, not to mention possible expansions but those should wait until the base game is patched and working well. Cyberpunk 2077 could have been not only GOTY but also Game of the Decade. I can see so much potential in it, so many fresh ideas and best of all - plentiful of opportunities. However, there must have been enormous turbulance behind the curtains of CDPR that are yet to be uncovered in the years to come. And that's why it is what it is today.

However, there must have been enormous turbulance behind the curtains of CDPR that are yet to be uncovered in the years to come. And that's why it is what it is today.

Back to the point. Overall, I liked the game and I played it on PC. I wasn't bothered that much by the bugs, flawed textures and overly simplified AI. These are fixable and had CDPR taken their time with that instead of releasing the game in this state, the game would have been received better. I wouldn't have minded to wait as much as needed.

Anyway, here is what I didn't appreciate about the game:

    1. Cut-down content and features, some of which promised in the first place.

    2. Little variety when it comes to clothes, weapons and cars.

    3. Very little weapon and clothing customization.

    4. Extremely poor crafting system, minimal reward when upgrading and visual improvement when you up your equipment. This is a BIG ONE for me. It costs a lot to improve yet it's completely unnecessary. I managed to beat the game with sub-par items. The game gives no incentive to go for crafting and that's CRITICAL!

    5. Cyberwear is another huge disappointment. Costs **** yet the impact on the gameplay is so-so.

    6. Skills and attributes mechanic has an interesting foundation but poorly executed from a game design standpoint. Most of the options are redundant and have minor reflection on the gameplay. This is another CRITICAL ERROR because the player doesn't have to be considered when building up their character. I beat the game at level 30 with over 15 skill and 8 attribute points left hanging because I was paving my way through enemies effortlessly.

    7. Main storyline is cool but the fact that it so incredibly easy to trick and beat such an advanced corporation is off-putting. Arasaka stands for the prime high-tech corpo, which is supposed to have military equipment and defenses that are supposed to require the player to invest all of his points, skills and resources in order to manage to keep it through until the end. Well, that's not the case. Again, I was having a sub-par equipment, messy skill/attribute build and I'm no hardcore FPS gamer yet this felt very unchallenging.

7.1 Adam Smasher, the final boss of the game was just as easy as an ordinary cyberphycho just with more defense and health. Big letdown on this one.

    8. Side quests were engaging but they were not even remotely close to the charm of what The Witcher 3 had to offer in terms of storywriting and game design. They feel like just another job to do for the eddies.

    9. Undeveloped FX and/or non-existent outcomes when you damage vehicles. For example, you can't break enemies's tires. The vehicles get damaged in a random and non-logical fashion, which makes the player pay less attention to his driving or care about his car/bike. Moreover, the damage gets repaired for free (and again randomly), which makes no sense.

I didn't plan to write this long but I do care about Cyberpunk 2077 and I have nothing more but willigness to encourage and support CDPR to work and expand on this universe.

However, with such big ambitions come big responsibilities, therefore very high expectations.

In that regard, take your time, learn from your own experience, player suggestions and mistakes. I hope if there will be a new Cyberpunk, it will really be a game-changing next generation game. It's got the foundation, now it's just time to build upon it and refine what's already been made.

    Real score: 6.5

The design of all the missions is varied and shows the special dedication of its developers in making them all different and even sometimes emotional and/or exciting, whether they are the several available from the main plot or one of its many subplots.

But for its development it seems that too many resources have been dedicated to the console versions that do not propose anything technically acceptable (and that should have been canceled since they saw that they were not viable), causing a taste of unfinished soak all other sections of the game.
The city lacks interactivity, even the most basic ones: hundreds of stores with which not to interact (even though the game proposes a really overwhelming variety of items), streets full of people with whom not to share any interaction and even with behaviors as basic as erratic, bugs at all levels, sometimes serious (collision failures that cause instantaneous deaths, map exits, low poly graphics, objects melted on the ground or flying and a long etc.). ), many buildings with a lot of verticality ... but the vast majority unused and pure decoration ...

Cyberpunk 2079 was an ambitious project and really CD Projekt RED had the potential and know-how to bring it to a successful conclusion. Unfortunately, we see that at the executive level big strategic mistakes have led to the drift of what could have been the game of the decade.
The potential is there and I have no doubt that this will end up being a tremendous game but it condemns its developers to spend more time on it than should have been necessary, and it condemns players to endure disappointment in the hope of one day seeing what this role-playing game really should have been from the beginning.

The walkthrough is quite difficult in terms of what is not too addictive. The plot itself is good. The map doesn't look too lively, the NPCs repeat the same phrases without calming down for a second. The physics of vehicles is poor. The interface in the character menu is unreasonably heavy, but surprisingly beautiful. Branches of development, unlike the Witcher, somehow need to be pumped, so as not to be an idiot, making his way the hardest way. You can not, for example, swing only the power branch and win all with it. It is necessary to swing the rest of the branches so that they can help you if necessary. In the Witcher, swinging, for example, only a branch of signs, you could safely pass the game without being distracted by the rest of the branches. Here it is imposed. According to the technical part – the game is not optimized, although everything is playable on my average hardware, if you increase only the textures to the maximum. Surprisingly, if they are at the minimum settings, the FPS will be the same. In general, the game is not worth sixty dollars. It might be forty, but no more. And everyone is to blame for this: developers who overestimated expectations and subsequently sawed off the loot on the game, and idiots players who also later began to hate the game, because they were waiting for their "dream game".

In 2018, we were promised a very deep and detailed RPG with no punches being pulled and many other great things like a cutting edge npc system, a very deep general AI and interactivity on par with GTA V or RDR2, heavy focus on RPG elements and player choice being extremely important etc...
It was said that CP2077 is first and foremost an RPG and shooter elements are secondary, the city is extremely detailed and interactivity is like nothing we have seen before and the list goes on.
The game was intended and MARKETED for HARDCORE rpg gamers and we thought that we'd be playing CP2077 for at least 2 years because of its depth, variety, replayability, and interactivity.
This is where everything falls apart. ultimately this game as of this moment is intended for average players who want to kill some time and rest from a long work day. The game that was promised to us in 2018 is non existent now and this is why: the RPG elements like player choice, customization, the life paths and the class system suffer from design choices that NO AMOUNT of updates and patches are able to fix. The customization both for your character and the things you own is second to none, the clothing options are very limited and V can hardly look good. For example, I wanted to make my carefully created female V to look sexy in skimpy and neon colored clothing and look like the Moxes but the game threw me the lamest clothing options which are ridiculous; why and HOW does a tank top give me 230 armor???? clothing aside there is the horrendous system that doesn't allow you to change V's appearance, give them tattoos or at least change their hairstyle and color; HOW CAN YOU NOT INCLUDE IN GAME CUSTOMIZATION????? the weapons are great themselves but I want just more than slapping a scope and calling it a day; where are the skins and dye systems like in the Witcher 3??
The npc system is perhaps one of the most disappointing aspects of the game, they are not alive in any shape or form and don't react properly to the world around them.
every day I ask myself, why and HOW did they market this game the way they did and did they know that this game was FAR from finished???

Aside from all the problems, I believe that there is a masterpiece hidden under the game we have now. Night city is easily THE MOST beautiful city that I've ever seen in a game; there are many moment when you see a stairway in the middle of the street and when you walk in, you find yourself in a whole different part of the city.
The Cyberpunk theme is implemented masterfully and it can drown you in its aesthetics. The music ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and masterful.
BUT, this hidden masterpiece was never delivered to us because of one sole factor, M O N E Y.
the managers at CDPR wanted to release the game at any cost to cash in and leave but that proved disastrous. this game needed at least one more year to finish because in my opinion, 70% of the game is missing. this is most evident in the game's story; the story is disappointingly short and RUSHED AF.
in the end, all I can say is that CP2077 was rushed and wasn't even close to release but I want to believe that after a year or two, CDPR will deliver on the ACTUAL Cyberpunk 2077, the game we were waiting on for almost 10 years.. I'll give this game a 7/10 now and I hope to come back in a year or two to make this 7 a 10.. Let's F**king go CDPR, GET IT TOGETHER.

Hold on... both of them launched with massive bugs too but get better reviews cause Rockstar gets worshipped? I'd have liked the overall story arc to have more twists and branches but the foundation is there for a truly great game. If you have no patience for bugs wait a few months for them to get ironed out. If you're used to beta releases (which most modern games are anyways) at least on PC the bugs aren't really game breaking. I played through to the end with about 70% side mission completion and never crashed once but seen plenty of collision issues and graphical glitches.

Rockstar needs to take note on what CDPR did _right_ which is character customization (would be more meaningful in 3rd person), stats/upgradability on gear and weapons and multiple paths for the story to take.

Without the bugs it's a solid 8-9, I knocked 1 off for the beta condition but I'm not a child that gives it a 0, demands a refund, then freaks when steam expects the game back too. (This is actually happening and a sad testament to today's modern entitled gamer.)

Doing a combination of Story content as well as a decent chunk of the side quests that littered Night City, I was able to play for about 57 hours before I decided I wanted the game to be done. Personally, I felt the main story was too short (Very short compared to TW3) and the side quests did very little to keep me engaged enough before I wanted to just know more about V's story. I personally enjoyed the story up until the ending but it fits with the narrative (I got the generic ending).

As far as the game play goes, it was pretty standard. The skilltree was extremely generic, only giving a few "keynote" abilities for each tree but it got the job done as far as showing progression. The weapons don't really feel different between rarities and levels. The white gun you use at level 1 will feel like the purple or orange gun you find later. SMART and TECH weapons are nothing new but did change the gameplay a bit once they were found. Exploring Night City doesn't really have any magic to it. The exploration is subpar due to the fact that you will only find some text logs and maybe some ammo, healing/buff items and some of the game's iconic weapons. There is very little to it compared to other game's that give exotic items full back stories, sometimes quests and maybe even some memorable moments while obtaining them.

The combat isn't terrible but does nothing to change the formula (Not saying that's a bad thing). The melee is just a combination of light/heavy attacks but has a few perks that can make it feel flashy at times. Shooting is pretty standard. You will hip fire or ADS and target enemy weakpoints. Put enough rounds into them while taking advantage of your perks will see most enemies taken down very quickly (on hard and lower, at least) I had no issue with the combat, personally but the skilltrees are extremely light and don't do much to really make you feel unique outside of a few key ones.

The RPG aspect feels almost non existent. There's very little choice in the game and if you are looking for massive story changing aspects, there's just too little of it. Most of your playthough will be the same except for the endings and what build you decide on. The endings are mostly based on what quests you complete and a few rare pieces of dialogue here and there. You do level up just like any normal RPG while also gaining perk points for "mastering" weapons/stealth etc.

(I will explain further about the 1080TI issues at the bottom)
The performance is not too bad on PC if you understand your hardware limitations but the 1080TI had weird issues that I can't explain even while using up to date drivers and no temp issues. I was running the game on a Gigabyte 1080TI (However, I did have to use a mod made by Yamashi in order to get the following performance), Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz with the game installed on a Samsung Evo 860 500GB. Playing at 1080p standard, 1080p ultra wide and standard 1440p netted me a solid 50-60 FPS on High with film grain and motion blur being the only settings disabled. Attempting 1440p ultrawide left me at a stable 30FPS but I did not wish to play it at that resolution for obvious reasons. I also tried playing it on my laptop which ran a 2070 max q, I7 8050H, 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz and also using an SSD. It was able to run Ultra at 1080p between 51-62 FPS but bumping it to 1440p on high left me at 48-53 FPS. I was not able to attempt ultra wide as the laptop just struggled too much.

The story was okay for me. I enjoyed what little of it there was but felt like it was just way too short. I know that CDPR said they were going to reduce the length due to people not beating TW3 but this felt insanely short. I know that the games can't really be compared as one is a third person action RPG while CP2077 is an FPS RPG but the side quests are a big issue in my opinion. TW3 had little stories with a lot of its quests where as CP2077's side content felt tacked on. There's little dialogue, no substance, and it is mainly there to give you exp and loot. You won't find out more about the world other than, "This gang member is bad, stop them," Or, "This person needs to be rescued, go save them and i'll give you good stuff." I personally felt like this was the biggest disappointment about the game for me.

Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 is a good game but did not live up to expectations. I didn't really follow the hype as much as others but I was still looking forward to this game. I enjoy the setting, loved the tabletop game and have enjoyed all of the Witcher games as well as other RPGs, and CP2077 has felt like the weakest game I have played this year. What little there was, I enjoyed but CDPR needs to improve the game further with more content, hopefully good DLCs later and regain that magic they apparently lost during this game's development

Okay, at first I must say that all the 10/10 and 1/10 or 0/10 reviews are utter garbage 10/10 means that the game is perfect and it cannot be improved (which is certainly false), and 0/10 means that the game is so bad you couldn't even get it running, or you quit playing it after 10 minutes because you hated it so much (which makes you pretty much ineligible for writing a review becauseOkay, at first I must say that all the 10/10 and 1/10 or 0/10 reviews are utter garbage 10/10 means that the game is perfect and it cannot be improved (which is certainly false), and 0/10 means that the game is so bad you couldn't even get it running, or you quit playing it after 10 minutes because you hated it so much (which makes you pretty much ineligible for writing a review because you didn't play it: you should write a support ticket instead or get a refund).

The reality is that this game is about average as it is now. It suffers from bugs and performance issues that will be surely fixed, and it has a bad AI, clumsy menus and pretty unrealistic physics. All of these are things that can be still fixed in the future patches. As an RPG this game is not very good and offers very limited choices, but then again, the CRPG genre is no longer alive at all. However, as a GTA-like action game with some RPG-ish elements such as limited character development and some dialogue, it's pretty decent.

Nonetheless, the game looks beautiful. I'd say after some patches and DLC this could be easily a strong 8/10. I was really hoping for a co-op mode but nah, maybe later.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Review of the negatives: I currently have about 20 hours logged in this game, and while I've really enjoyed the entire experience on PC I can certainly see where people have their faults with it. With a high end gaming PC easily capable of 120fps at 1080p ultra in almost every game currently out Cyberpunk 2077 struggles to reach above 60fps and frame drops sometimes below 30fps are common. During the MAIN mission bugs and glitches are common and in side missions bugs and glitches are laughably common. In 20 hours of gameplay I've kept track and had 4 full black screens with restarts, 3 engine crashes that required the game to be force closed, and numerous situations with weird red artifacting across every surface in the game (Usually appearing during cutscenes and immediately afterwards). Many of the black screens with restarts could most likely be attributed to AMD driver issues, but I've only experienced them with this game. I've read complaints that the AI is bugged, and while I've only seen this be noticeable this a handful of times, sometimes when you accidently shoot or are in a mission the NPCs on the street will flee and disappear for a couple of minutes, sometimes resulting in when you turn around a full street being completely empty.

Now. While the game is a visual masterpiece, the story is uhm... Well, ok? Its not fantastic. It seems as though the option that you pick at the beginning does not at all matter and you'll be thrown into a streetkid story line regardless. The Corpo starting line is interesting, but it ends up in the same story line in the same apartment complex regardless. Very disappointed in that as I was expecting maybe you lived in a different area/apartment block or got a different side character. Only one real fork in the story for the most part, and side-missions are largely straightforward. The endings that you get are also decided from a single ending mission point so you can get every ending in about 20 hours or so, and once you get to one ending the game automatically creates a save right before that mission so you can go back and get them all. Its not a great system, and means that the promises that the choices you make in the game matter were largely false. As far as I can tell they don't matter a whole lot except for the choice you make in that final mission. It makes the game feel far more empty than was promised.

I've completed a lot of the side missions as well, and while they are fun in some cases and can lead to some interesting rabbit-holes, there's an equal amount that are slash and grab missions that don't lead really anywhere. Eddies are rather hard to come by as well, you CONSTANTLY get notifications about new cars, or new upgrades from RipperDocs, but actually scraping together the eddies to get anything feels a lot like a grind for a mercenary doing business for some of the biggest name people in Night City. For example the car on the cover costs about 70,000 eddies, which would be roughly all of the main mission cash, and roughly 4 of the highest paying side missions. Prices for Cyber-mods are sometimes laughably expensive as well with high priced single mods going for 40-50k and sometimes even $100k eddies in game. It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense given that by my rough math there's only about $170-180k you can get from completing literally every mission in the game. It makes even less sense when you consider that you meet someone that has had their entire body cyber-moded in one of the side missions, something I was very excited about doing until I found out it was largely impossible with how the currency system currently works. Guns, Melee weapons, and clothing are all the same story as well. Its made even more broken when in some cases you get a legendary weapon that you can sell for $4k and then it goes into the store for $65k and is essentially lost forever (Not an exaggeration).

TLDR: Fun, beautiful, but broken in more than just a software perspective. Story has choices that don't seem to matter at all, and the currency system is outrageously rigged out of your favor. Bugs and glitches are common along with crashes. The game is not entirely broken in its current state, but I'd wait to do a full playthrough until either a large update is released in a couple of months, or some of the above issues can be fixed. It's enjoyable, but intensely frustrating until then.

The combat is meh at best, I'm really not a fan of the Borderlands bullet sponge combat, but I'm sure lots of people will enjoy it, the driving is really slippery and unsatisfying, the AI feels nowhere near finished and really ruins any feeling of depth that Night City might have otherwise had, the game is not well optimized at all and there are tons and tons of bugs nonstop, although none of them game breaking.

Overall, I do still think it's worth full price, given the great story and the great amount of content, and it was able to keep me hooked from start to finish and the exact same thing can be said about every single friend of mine who played it. Unfortunately, though, it did fail to leave a lasting impression, something I attribute to the game's overall jankiness.

Looking forward to playing it when they patch out all the glitches and hopefully add things to make Night City feel more alive.

So 2.5 years later i'm returning to this game. My oppinion has changed and I think I was overreacting a little bit back then. There was a lot of frustration going on as you can tell from the text I wrote back then. It wasn't a fair rating of the game. This game is still not the masterpiece I was expecting when it was released but it is a good game. I think after the fantastic "The Witcher 3" my expectations were sky-high, maybe too high. I was expecting another masterpiece and Cyberpunk just wasn't what I was hoping for. It's understandable that CD Project Red wanted to try something new instead of making another Witcher game. This is such a massive project that it is almost doomed to fail. So given that I think they did a pretty good job with "Cyberpunk 2077".
You can also tell that they tried to improve this game with the recent patches and updates without re-writing the whole game.

    Rating 7/10

    This game is a mess.
The press aswell as CDPR lied to us for months. This games is nowhere near to living up to the hype that was created.
It starts of okay and you are waiting for it to finally pick up the pace and become a great game but it never happens.
The world is huge but it's basically empty. 90% of the sidemissions are the same boring stuff again and again. Go there kiil someone, go there pick up something and so on. Where are the great sidemission with a good background story we are used to from witcher 3 ? The are some missions with an actual story but the are very rare. Dialogues all boil down to the same answer one way or the other. You can't answer good, bad or crazy. You are forced to answer one kind of way. Where are the choices ?The whole game feels rushed and incomplete in every aspect. The mainstory is okay but nothing great and just when you think it finally get's better the game tells you that you are close to finishing it. It has a ton of bugs and glitches that are still not fixed although most of them are not gamebreaking.
The world is big but there's not a lot to do except following the main mission and do copy&paste sidemissions again and again. It doesn't feel rewarding at all. To me Johnny is a very annoying character and he sure doesn't help the game. Keanue Reeves was a bad choice for this game. He's very limited as a movie actor and he's very limited in this game aswell.
All the patches wont make a great game out of this one. Too many things are fundamentally wrong with it.

There are some upsides to this game aswell: The world is big and looks good, there's a ton of loot, and you can chose between different perks. Graphics are great, especially the characters and their faces.

Overall it's just a big disappointment.
I've been playing videogames for 30 years and this game is the biggest letdown in the last 20 years of my gaming career.

Крч разрабы попытались сделать все сразу и получилось очень средне, кроме сюжета и некоторых доп квестов, они супер годные, в остальном же хзхз. Cyberpunk 2077 is a action role-playing game. Cyberpunk's reception and probably also its quality was seriously affected by the pre-release events and expectations so lets start with that. Cyberpunk's reception and probably also its quality was seriously affected by the pre-release events and expectations so lets start with that. The Witcher 3 was the game that put CD Project Red on the throne of video game development. The game was fantastic and is widely considered to be one of the best games of all time, if not the very best. After Witcher 3, the developers announced that they will depart from the Witcher world and focus their attention on this new big project, Cyberpunk 2077. Because of the spotless record of the CD Project Red, many gamers were understandably expecting a masterpiece to rival or even exceed the Witcher 3. Those expectations were only strengthened by the overall situation in the gaming world, where titans of the industry, such as Bioware, Blizzard and Bethesda were quickly falling from grace and into the abyss. The wait was long and the draught was almost unbearable. All that caused the expectations of Cybepunk 2077 to skyrocket to such heights, that it became clear, that no matter how good the game actually would be, it could never actually meet them. That on its own is a recipe for disaster. Plus allegations of so called crunch were voiced against the company. In my opinion, this whole business was a result of our society being so spoiled and weak, that it considers hard work as something reprehensible. The times we live in.

Anyway, the game was finally released in December 2020 and from the first minutes, it became very apparent that something is really wrong. The game was, and still is today, full of bugs, ranging from minor (visual glitches, lighting etc.) to major game breaking (save file size limit, unable to complete certain missions etc.). That was a huge letdown and given its release date, it became clear that someone forced this unpolished and maybe even unfinished game to be released in the holiday season. This decision cannot be justified from any perspective, because even the extra money they made, were far outweighed by the unprecedented number of refunds. But the greatest loss for the company is the loss of reputation, something that will cost them very dearly in the years to come. Pity.

Now the actual game is really interesting, the design of the Night City is just amazing. Even in Witcher 3, CDPR proved that they can design a beautiful and functional city (Novigrad) and in Cyberpunk 2077, this gets even enhanced and becomes one of the coolest aspects of the game. Regarding graphics, the game can look very pretty, but at a very steep performance cost (unlike Witcher 3, which was also beautiful and yet low-spec PC friendly). The story is great, but kinda short and it becomes, specially towards the end, strangely predictable and also struggles to stay clear of certain storytelling cliches. It can also get a bit confusing, if you are not a Cyberpunk fan. I really like certain characters, of course Johnny is the best, great work by Keanu Reeves, the weird co-existence with V is done very well. Romance is kinda scarce, theoretically you have four options, but really you only have one, so that could definitely be improved. Because you are moving through a big city, you will spend a lot of time in your car. Driving feels really arcade and is riddled with a number of bugs and oversights. The smallest and yet possibly the most annoying of them is the ridiculously zoomed in minimap, which causes you to miss a lot of turns or use a regular map (which is also not very good) every ten seconds or so. There is also a lot of randomly appearing and disappearing traffic. There is a decent number of cars you can drive and own, most of them are really slow and sluggish (definitely for a year 2077, for example late in the main story you will get a very cool looking Porsche 930, which will however only do about 160 km/h, despite the fact that the real car had a maximum speed of 260 km/h way back in 1975). Specially the transmissions are very unrealistic and acting weird. The music is pretty good, not my thing really, but decent. The difficulty of the game is just another thing that is not optimized well. On harder difficulties, the first hours are really hard and on the contrary the second half of the game feels really easy regardless of talent or equipment choices. This game contains no microtransactions and little SJW, although it seems to me that, despite the pre-release trans poster hysteria, the game is trying to stay from controversy.

Pardon me for constantly comparing this game to its CDPR predecessor, but my overall feeling is that what once came easy with Witcher 3, is now toiled for in Cyberpunk 2077. Even if they fix all the bugs and oversights, this game will still not be as good as the Witcher games (Of course, that is just my opinion). But despite all that, Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of very good moments and with a lot of polish and some strong DLCs it can absolutely become a great game. Final Verdict: 68 %

For a game about "body modification," there is surprisingly almost no actual body modification. You will see hundreds of people with bionic arms, legs, necks, faces, hands, skin etc, but none of that is available to the player, not even cosmetics. You aren't even allowed to take your own *piercings* out if you select some during character creation.

This is hands down the best looking game I have ever played. Better than RDR2, Forza Horizon 5, Metro Exodus. The story is great (even if you're choice of path in the beginning doesn't change much) it is very immersive and has different outcomes determined by your choices. Think of a more modern GTAV set in a nearish semi-dystopian future. Yeah sounds cool huh? Everyone knows about the launch and I will give you my first hand experience. First I have not run into any game breaking bugs but there are small/annoying glitches bugs frequent enough to pull me from full immersion and knocks the score down from 8 or 9 to 7. Now every vast open world game I have ever played has bugs and glitches i.e. Skyrim, Assassins Creed, even GTA. The main bugs I have come across are graphical like flashing textures, items not being able to be picked up, and audio glitches such as voice lines not being spoken or continuing when skipped. Not huge things but immersion breaking and annoying.

There is an option to hack - did that too.

    The good:

    - Great main story and side quests
    - Driving ( i actually liked it, but it's as everything - personal opinion, it could be better tho )
    - Graphics ( obviously )
    - Music/Sound effects
    - Dialogues/Character design's

    - Bugs ( didn't see many, but oooh boy the ones i saw destroyed my immersion a couple of times. )
    - Police system ( i mean... just go to youtube and type in " cyberpunk 2077 police " )
    - Lack of character customization options after character creator.
    - Very few options to interact with city itself ( NPC's, bar's etc. Almost non-existent )

But, despite all of that, i enjoyed it. If you are afraid of bugs/glitches - just give this game some time, go play anything else and come back once it's truly finished in a couple of months ( hopefully ).

It went from "haha thats a funny bug" to "its a ****show, I cannot enjoy this anymore" - as I was pulled out of the world so so many times because of it.

Gameplay itself ist simply ok, nothing special. Guns are ok - melee is on the level of RPGs I played 20 years ago. Focussed on Katana and Mantis Blades on the first playthrough, literally just mashing that left mouse button and running around the enemies. That is on very hard btw. Balancing is an absolute joke.

I like the skill system, many cool things here, lot of possibilities but also nothing ground breaking at all.

It is definitely not the "next big thing" - its not even the Game of the Year and for me, not even the RPG of the year. Yakuza LAD, FF VII Remake, P5 Royal, even (patched) Wasteland 3 just feel better.

To be honest the best fun while playing this game I had by just doing side activities and enjoying the night city without bothering too much about anything. Absorbing the atmosphere, slowly going from place to place, meeting interesting people, buying cars, clothing and houses - it's the best part of this game. But for me personally the main story was just bad... There were some awesome ideas and characters but only few. The story was short and felt shallow inside, the choices That we can make are 90% of time useless. Optimalization of this game is a total nonsense... It's crushing and slowing down fps all the time even on lowest settings I don't know why. Leveling system was unintelligible for me. Map of the town was unreadable. Crafting system ware useless. There were a ton of bugs even after patch 1.6. Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that is really worth trying but it could be frustrating, irritating and annoying in terms of bugs, story and all sort of little things. But this game can also show us a beauty of storytelling, some great interactions, beautiful locations and it can just bring lot of smile at our face. I think that cyberpunk had a lot of potential but it wasn't polished enough. I'm looking forward to see it's sequel or some new stories dlcs. Expand

Otherwise CDPR have met my high expectations in story telling , music , writing, character development and open world design. They can still deliver just like what they did with the witcher 3. And Cyberpunk 2077 is no less.
-opinion on other reviews: ok I love CDPR for the witcher games BUT objectively speaking, anyone who gives it a solid 10 is blinded by his love for cdpr. And anyone who gives it a score below 4 either set ridiculous expectations and got disappointed or just hates cdpr.
    - game development: y'all need to realize that the game has been in development for only 4 years not 8. the game's teaser being in 2012 doesn't necessarily mean it took 8 years of development.
from 2012 to the end of 2016 they had the whole team -which was a small team- working on the witcher 3 and its huge DLCs.
    - unfortunate misdoings that lead to only 90 score and a 6.4 user review :
*upgrading the graphics (Performance-related): you can see there's a huge graphical difference between the 2018 version they showed at e3 2018- which was decent- and the final version. They improved the graphics and added raytracing, which resulted in a bad performance on all platforms.
*the release date (bugs-related) : in conclusion, they completely screwed up with the release date announcements that they got death threats over the delays. They should have just went with the silent "coming when it's ready" moto and released the game in 2021 polished and with lesser bugs.

My sincere condolences for dear CDPR , it could and should have been mildly the best game ever made, it's still a masterpiece but not the best game. Waiting for patches and some of your brilliant DLCs.

    Pros:
    Main story
characters Facial animations and graphics if you have the hardware for it (and if they decided to work) Gameplay and if you like the gameplay there is **** ton of meaningless **** to do City looks beautiful couple of good side quest lines Keanu Cons; I am gonna make the cons 2 part cuz there are somethings that can be fixed and improved and some probably can't

    Cons;

I am gonna make the cons 2 part cuz there are somethings that can be fixed and improved and some probably can't

    thing that can be fixed

    fps and performance issues
lack of actual side quest with interesting story like Witcher 3 (there are some like Judy Panam and Rogue)
lack of interaction with the city (these can be fixed with future dlc's and patches )

now the second part that probably not gonna get fixed

there is basically no driving AI cops spawn out of nowhere
if you park your car in the middle of the road npc are not gonna try to overcome the situation they are just gonna sit there and wait
npc despawn so quickly u feel like you are playing vice city
your choice does not matter there is 3 options beginning of the game you choose your class and it only effects the first 15-30 mins of the game and some different dialogue option but it does not matter cuz u cannot change the story except very last choice

Overall I like the Cyberpunk 2077 i finished nearly 100% done all the side missions crime events and what nots but if you you can wait i am certain this game will be a lot better game in a couple of months and cant wait for the story dlc's this game needs the figure out performance issues and I am certain that we are gonna get a better game with dlc's like Witcher 3
My score is 7 now if they not improve the game and release the story dlc's and they are bad I am gonna lower it to 5 butt if they do and the dlc's are good 8.5-9

So 45 hours in. Have Finished the Game once

Site Quests are great. Great characters and writing. Far beyond the main story where you really just want a bullet in the brain after dealing with jhonny. F that stupid chip story. Main quest is also amazingly short... and annoying at best. Prologue was good, after that just gets super annoying. Sad that the focus was the chip. The City

Main quest is also amazingly short... and annoying at best. Prologue was good, after that just gets super annoying. Sad that the focus was the chip.

The City is alive and busy. But no real interaction at any of the million stalls and shops. Its like walking through a painting. A lot see, not much to do... A lot of minor interactions could have been added to give Life to the art.

A variaty of play stiles available. stealthy, brute, gunner, assassin, dumbas
Driving is mediocre at best. Balance on most of the cars are off, as well as traction that is mismatched. Guy who programmed the cars knows nothing about driving.
The bikes sound like an angel humming you to sleep. Nothing better.
2 hookers for the pervs who are asking.

Game looks and plays great on mid tier hardware. It is a heavy resource user so low spec PCs will have issues playing at over 45fps.
Still a lot of minor bugs and a few major ones.

The Ending makes Mass Effect 3's ending look great...
There are supposed to be 5 alternates. have tried 1 now and started skipping as fast as I could to get it over with. Lets hope I missed the good ones.

Good story telling, nice side quests, graphics are ok but bad optimized.
Main con is too many bugs even though you can reload the game to keep playing, but they are still very annoying. Sometimes you just cannot ignore them and it feels pretty bad.
Hope CDPR can fix these bugs before DLCs.

It's a good game with many troubles. Arhaic graphics with pop style. Many funny bugs. A strange, unremarkable story. Russian voice acting is a shame. On the other hand, you get a lot of content. Music is really cool. References to classic of Masamune Shirow. The game has its own atmosphere. Nice try to look into the future.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
