Apr 10, 2015sure its a bit dated and in need of some polishing, but in spite of all the negative reviews this is one of the best city builder out there, just check out xlnation.net and see what you can do with it that you cannot do with any other game of this type. gave it 10/10 to offset all the 0/10 reviews. its easily 7/10

Dec 8, 2016IF you do not own any of the previous versions of Cities this game is good! But, as the others say should have been sold as just an add-on, when it first came out. It is stand alone and i think the current version includes content from all the other cities releases.

Mar 31, 2015Hands down the best city building game ever on the market. Makes all the rest look like children's games. Yes, it's familiar and I wish there was more new content. That doesn't change the fact that it towers over it's competition.

Jul 19, 2016Very good gameplay, with lost of things to keep me interested and with generaly ok graphics. This game however does lag when my cities become to large but apart from that there is no other negative points to be made.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Apr 10, 2015Cities XXL is almost identical to its predecessors, but despite the slight technical improvement, other parts remain the same or even worse. Hands off. [Issue#251]

CD-ActionApr 1, 2015Do you remember Cities XL from 2009? Or Cities XL 2011? Or Cities XL 2012? Or Cities XL Platinum? Cities XXL is the same game, just with a new price tag. [04/2015, p.65]

Mar 19, 2015Cities XXL is itself a solid strategy. The city, that you can build, is really XXL. Bugs are annoying, but you can live with it. Worse is, that the game is the same as its predecessor. Without exaggeration. Almost exactly the same.
